LG is all set to announce their new lineup of smartphones at a press event on August 31st. However, new information indicates that there will be two phone that will be announced by the Korean company. LG is expected to showcase the V30 and also the V30 Plus, according to a publication (ETNews), who spoke to a high-ranking official for a mobile network operator.
Other larger models tend to have a larger displays and are bigger in physical size, however, LG will be offering the V30 Plus with internal upgrades rather than a bigger smartphone. The Plus variant of the phone will offer more internal storage i.e. 128GB instead of 64 GB and have other features like wireless charging.
LG has introduced a Plus version with upgraded specs for other models from the company i.e.the LG G6 Plus after the release of the LG G6. The Plus variant of the G6 offered more storage and had other improvements such as better audio quality and Bang & Olufsen headphones.
LG's V series is the company's top of the line phones and it seems like LG will not wait to launch the second variant this time around and instead launch two phones together. According to the report, the V30 is expected to go on sale on September 15th in Korea. What's surprising is that the launch date is the same as the Galaxy Note 8, according to the report.
Being the premium devices for the company, the report suggests that the smartphones will not be cheap as the V30 is expected to cost $700 (INR 45,000) and the V30 plus is expected to cost $875 (INR 56,000).
