If you are an ardent fan of MS Dhoni, then you must be aware that cricket was not always his first choice of sport. During his school days, he was the goalkeeper of his school football team and of course, he was excellent at it.

So, the story goes something like this. When the wicket-keeper of the school cricket team was absent, the coach who was mighty impressed with Dhoni's goalkeeping skills, approached him to take up the role of the wicket-keeper. And that was the turning point in his life.

But since this legendary cricketer grew up playing football, it was pretty obvious that those skills were embedded in him. And he proved so during the Celebrity Clasico.

First things first, Celebrity Clasico, an initiative by Cornerstone Sport and GS Entertainment, is a football match where the proceedings go to charity. It sees sports stars and Bollywood celebrities playing against each other.

Last year was the first time that a match of such magnitude was held and it saw several Indian stars, including MS Dhoni, KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane and Umesh Yadav feature on Virat Kohli's side. On the other side, several Bollywood stars including Ranbir Kapoor, Dino Morea, Shoojit Sircar, Arjun Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Raj Kundra showed their footy skills.

The 2017 edition of the match was held yesterday between the Virat Kohli-led team 'All Heart Football Club' and Abhishek Bachchan's 'All Stars Football Club.

But what or rather who caught everyone's attention was former Indian  team skipper MS Dhoni's spectacular goals.

His first goal was a deflected strike in the fifth minute of the game that gave his team a 1-0 lead.

Although Kedar Jadhav, Virat Kohli, Anuruddha Srikant and Ranbir Kapoor also impressed the audience with their scoring skills, the audience was smitten with Dhoni and chants of 'Dhoni, Dhoni' kept ringing across the stadium.
