Inspired by Sacha Baron Cohen's most iconic role, a group of Czech tourists dressed up in mankinis, made famous by Borat, while in Kazakhstan. The group of guys were posing for pictures in the capital city of the country where the character of Borat comes from. Sporting lime green manikis and black wigs, they were clicking pictures in front of the 'I Love Astana' sign.

Reportedly, they ended up getting arrested and were fined 22,500 tenge ($67) each for their 'indecent' adventures and for committing 'minor hooliganism'.

But, lucky for them, Sacha Baron Cohen has himself come forward to help them out. Borat to the rescue!

Bringing up the incident on his Facebook account, Cohen wrote, “To my Czech mates who were arrested. Send me your details and proof that it was you, and I'll pay your fine.”

Also, don't miss the hilarious 'Czech mates' pun, please.

Moreover, he went as far as creating a very specific and hilarious e-mail id just for this purpose - arrestedforwearingyourmankini@gmail.com.

Obviously, his kind gesture was well appreciated.

Back in 2006, when this iconic comedy movie was released, it ran into a lot of trouble in Kazakhstan. It attracted so much controversy, that the movie was banned in the country and its following sales on DVD, with the authorities going as far as threatening to sue him.

The main problem was that a lot of Kazakhs were offended by 'Borat' as it seemed to portray the country as backward and degenerate.

However, the Kazakh foreign minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov publicly thanked the actor for 'boosting tourism' in the country in 2012. Kazykhanov added that after the release of the movie, the number of visas issued by Kazakhstan grew tenfold.

But, that was not the only problem this movie ran into. The movie saw Borat's bizarre behaviour and dramatic stunts cause great commotion among unsuspecting Americans. He played the character so convincingly, that he actually ran into trouble with the FBI.

He said, “[The FBI] got so many complaints there was a terrorist travelling in an ice cream van… that they started compiling a little file on us and eventually they came to visit us at the hotel.

I obviously went missing when I heard because they were like 'FBI's downstairs'.”

After being warned by the Kansas police that he'd get arrested if he carried on with his antics, he admitted to hiring someone to protect him, the crew and even his wife, Isla Fisher.

Well, now you know how much trouble it actually is to make a great movie.

All the controversy aside, Cohen won a Golden Globe award for his portrayal of fictional Kazakh television presenter Borat. So, it's all well if it ends well.
