MANCHESTER: Boxing champion Amir Khan was chased through the streets during a road rage attack when a car rammed into his £100,000 Range Rover on Wednesday.
Pakistani-descent Khan was attacked by a group of men in his hometown of Bolton in Greater Manchester when his car was involved in an accident, The Sun reported.
The boxer and other party engaged in a violent encounter after a confrontation over the collision -thought to have been caused when the boxer took a wrong turn.
Several men set on Khan with one man throwing a punch in his direction, sources said.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incident, which took place at around 9.15 PM local time on Friday.
A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said: 'We were called to reports of road rage incident/assault?It appears the person driving has made a wrong turn and this has angered the person behind them and there's been an altercation.?
This is not the first time the boxer has encountered trouble while driving.
In 2012 he was targeted by a six-strong gang who tried to steal his Range Rover by ambushing him following a night out with his boxer brother Haroon in Birmingham.
The brothers fought off the men who later posted a video online claiming to have stolen keys to his Porsche and a Louis Vitton wallet containing 500 euros.
