XenForo 2- (Security Fix) - Upgrade Nulled

No, you're not imagining it - we are doing another release, just a day after the release of 2.0.8.

XenForo 2.0.9 fixes a flaw that could potentially be exploited to create a cross-site scripting vulnerability. We recommend that all customers running XenForo 2.0 upgrade to 2.0.9 or use the attached patch file as soon as possible. Note that if you are applying the patch rather than doing a full upgrade to 2.0.9, you will need to apply the 2.0.8 patch too.

XenForo extends thanks to Thomas Schneider for identifying the issue.

The issue is a XSS vulnerability. XSS (Cross Site Scripting) issues allow scripts and malicious HTML to be injected into the page, potentially allowing data theft or unauthenticated access.

    Applying a Fix: Upgrading
You may upgrade to 2.0.9 to fix this issue. You should upgrade as you would to any other release.

Customers with an active license may download 2.0.9 from their customer area. Full details for how to install and upgrade XenForo can be found in the XenForo Manual.

    Xenforo 1.5.12

Today, we are pleased to release XenForo 1.5.12. This release fixes a number of bugs and issues that were found since the previous release. As this is a maintenance release, the vast majority of the focus was an increase in stability.

However, by default, we have replaced the Flash-based attachment uploader with an HTML5-based approach. This has increased compatibility with mobile devices and removes Flash as a dependency for multiple file uploads. The Flash-based uploader is now deprecated. While the HTML5 uploader is enabled by default, you can change back to the previous uploader code by disabling the "Use new HTML5 uploader" option. Generally this should not be necessary; however it's possible the new uploader may not be immediately compatible with all add-ons. If you run into problems uploading files in an add-on, you may wish to disable this option. Note that we have released updates to XenForo Media Gallery and Resource Manager that improve compatibility with the HTML5 uploader.

Some of the changes in this release include:
Add a CAPTCHA to account confirmation email resending if you've previously requested a resend recently to limit potential abuse. Limit the number of times you can change your email within a short period of time to limit potential abuse. Insert user change log records when two-step verification is enabled/disabled. Log profile post and profile post comment edits to the moderator log for consistency. Improved PHP 7.1 support with memory limit checks and numeric input handling. Allow autolinking to include links containing "[" characters. Allow the bounce parser to identify several other bounce message patterns. Maintain ICC profiles when using the Imagick image processor only if supported by Imagick. Move the Facebook logo sprite to be served locally as the existing URL no longer functions. (Note: this requires a new image within your image path: xenforo/connect_sprite.png.) Add some padding around the message content element to prevent characters from being cut off in certain specific cases. Fix sizing of the attachment thumbnail placeholder for non-image attachments when using a large thumbnail size. In messages, only output the "person" metadata for registered members. If the internal data path is a non-local path, ensure we use a local path for temporary files. Adjust several phrases to use the more general wording of "the site" rather than "the board". See the Resolved Bug Reports forum for further information.

The following templates have had changes:
account_confirm_resend attached_files.css attachment_editor attachment_upload_button attachment_upload_overlay facebook.css message_user_info Where necessary, the merge system within the "Outdated Templates" page should be used to integrate these changes.

Please note that we are now formally recommending that you upgrade to PHP 5.4 or newer. Our intention with XenForo 2.0 is to require PHP 5.4 or newer. If you are running PHP 5.3 or 5.2, you will receive a warning when installing or upgrading XenForo.

All customers with active licenses may now download the new version from the customer area.

    XenForo 2.0.2 Release Nulled 2.0.2

XenForo 2.0.2, the second maintenance release for the XenForo 2.0 series is now available for all licensed customers to download. We recommend that all customers running previous versions of XenForo 2.0 upgrade to this release to benefit from increased stability.

There are a very large number of changes, most of which are fixes and many of which will go unnoticed, but here are some highlights:

    Admin control panel search
now supports almost all content types and navigational areas of the admin control panel, and also supports up/down/enter keyboard navigation, so that in conjunction with the / keyboard shortcut, it is usable entirely from the keyboard.

    XenForo redirects for vBulletin (XF301VB)
is a new add-on for use by anyone who has performed an import from vBulletin. The system allows seamless redirection from any supported URL generated by vBulletin versions 3, 4 and 5 including 'friendly' URLs. The add-on is easily configurable, and is fully documented in the XenForo 2 manual.

In order to help us plan future versions of XenForo, including XenForo 2.1, we have also added a new process in this release to collect certain statistics from your server. At this time, these statistics include only your PHP version, your MySQL version and your XF version. These statistics are totally anonymous and cannot be used to identify any site, license or customer. If at any point in the future we change the data that it is collected, we will inform you. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of the stats collection when you upgrade to XF 2.0.2. You can also toggle it on or off under Options > Statistics and metrics.

Some of the fixes in 2.0.2 include:
The vBulletin importer has extensive changes, fixing issues including: Double UTF8 conversion and text handling issues are now resolved Performance is dramatically improved for the vB5 importer vB4 blog attachments are now handled (and in fact, importing from vB4 with blog into XF2 will actually recover the vB3-blog attachments that went missing when you upgraded to vB4!) Previously missed content is now fetched vB5 conversations are properly imported Improved compatibility with schema.org standards Image resizing errors fixed Improved handling of legacy user upgrade purchases Improved purchase cancellation handling Added missing code language phrases Improved keyboard shortcut handling Fixed canonicalisation of URLs under IIS Fix for webkit browsers related to h-scroller Display of attachments in quick thread fixed Fixed handling of AJAX filtering when no results are returned Fixed Tweet embed handling Fixed potential infinite loop in the colour picker system Improved IE flexbox handling Fixed reference to non-existent post_above ad position Support for setting javaScriptUrl in config.php Fixed post edit history handling Handle spam-cleaner-deleted users better Fixed error relating to moving deleted/moderated posts Added an index on xf_conversation_master.start_date for improved performance New filters zerofill() and pad() available in the Templater Twitch media embed handling improved Fixed calls to CONVERT (%s USING utf8) to use utf8mb4 when necessary Fixed invisible thread prefixes imported from XF1 to be visible Add-on releases can now include .htaccess files Fixed select-to-quote tooltip for mobile browsers Update to Froala editor 2.7.4, lots of related bugs fixed See the resolved 2.x bug reports forum for further information.

The following public templates have had changes:
    PAGE_CONTAINER app.less app_body.less approval_item_resource_version base_custom_field_list bb_code_preview conversation_message_macros core.less core_hscroller.less core_labels.less core_tooltip.less editor_base.less forum_post_quick_thread google_analytics helper_action helper_criteria helper_user_search_criteria import_index import_step_config_vbulletin log_sitemap_list log_spam_cleaner_list log_spam_cleaner_restore member_stat_edit message.less node_list.less option_macros option_template_registrationWelcome payment_profile_paypal post_macros thread_view tools_rebuild user_title_ladder_list user_upgrade_active_downgrade user_upgrade_manual widget_members_online Where necessary, the merge system within the "outdated templates" page should be used to integrate these changes.

As always, new releases of XenForo are free to download for all customers with active licenses, who may now grab the new version from the customer area.

Note: add-ons, customizations and styles made for XenForo 1.x are not compatible with XenForo 2. If your site relies upon these for essential functionality, ensure that a XenForo 2 version exists before you start to upgrade. We strongly recommend you make a backup before attempting an upgrade.

    Requirements

Please note that XenForo 2.0 has higher system requirements than XenForo 1.x. We will be updating the requirements test script in the near future to reflect this. The following are minimum requirements:
PHP 5.4 or newer MySQL 5.5 and newer All of the official add-ons require XenForo 2.0. Enhanced Search requires at least Elasticsearch 2.0. Installation and Upgrade Instructions for XenForo 2.0

Full details of how to install and upgrade XenForo can be found in the XenForo 2 Manual.

Note that when upgrading from XenForo 1.x, all add-ons will be disabled and style customizations will not be maintained. New versions of add-ons will need to be installed and customizations will need to be redone. We strongly recommended that you make a backup before attempting an upgrade. Once upgraded, you will not be able to downgrade without restoring from a backup

Fix a bug that caused transparent images to possibly lose transparency after being resized.

    Xenforo 2.0.1 Full

We are pleased to release XenForo 2.0.1, the first maintenance release in the XenForo 2.0 series. This release primarily targets bug fixes and other small improvements. We recommend all customers running XenForo 2.0 upgrade to this release to benefit from increased stability.

    Some of the changes include:
Many importer-related improvements and bug fixes. Prevent errors if the set_time_limit function is disabled. Warn during installation and upgrades if this is true. When cleaning up permissions in the control panel, remove orphaned permission entries to prevent unexected indications that a user/group have custom permissions. Move the page background to p-pageWrapper element to prevent it from shifting when an overlay is displayed. Fix the maximum messages criteria not being evaluated properly. Do not include your own actions in your news feed any longer. Correctly apply nofollow to links in BB code content (staff members links will be followed by default, as in XenForo 1). Update the version of the of the underlying Froala library used by the rich text editor to resolve several issues. Allow the specific sendmail path in use to be configured via config.php. Attempt to prevent errors if the PHP configured path does not include a -t argument. Do not allow global keyboard shortcuts to triggered when focus is in a <select> menu. Prevent animation in certain circumstances to workaround an iOS issue with scrollable overlays. Prevent page jumping on load in Firefox due to single-line textareas. When upgrading, attempt to rename the XenForo 1.x config file to reduce confusion. Add a notice in the control panel if this file still exists. Add a new xf-designer:rebuild-metadata CLI command to rebuild metadata hashes based on the file system content in designer mode. Adjust dynamic redirects when editing a phrase, template and user to be more expected. Prevent a race condition where deleted content could error when being actioned in the approval queue. Ensure that permissions are checked in all scenarios when actioning content in the approval queue. Prevent an error in the approval queue template when a user is being manually approved for non-spam reasons. Remove accidental debug code that was displayed when the forum was set to display new posts by default. Fix a situation where the wrong template would be edited when it shared names with a template of a different type. Ensure that development output is not written when importing an add-on from the release data. Do not maintain p-navEl-link related classes in the off canvas navigation menu. Do not autofocus the status update input when opening the visitor menu. Ensure that the signature link in the visitor menu is only displayed when the visitor has the necessary permissions. Fix an incorrect link in the email bounce notice. Ensure that the normal font weight style property is applied at the root element so changes cascade. Prevent invalid values from being set for the font weight style properties. Fix input stepping and validation with number-limited custom fields. Remove an unexpected unique key on widget definitions. Correct the link to cancel a recurring PayPal purchase. Handle cancelled reversals (such as when you win a dispute) properly in PayPal. Prevent an error in templates if an attachment is rendered when the underlying attachment data record is missing. Fix an error that prevented searching for users with a specific post count (be that 0 or any other specific number). Automatically close the smilie box when submitting a reply. Fix an error related to the SMF authentication scheme. Fix handling of array-based, multi-file uploads in PHP. Properly catch an error when building an add-on if the minifier service cannot be contacted. Handle failure when attempting to import an RSS feed more gracefully. Ensure that the CLI installer provides a default email if one is not provided. Allow custom code language support to be added more easily. Add support for explicitly closing database connections. Indicate when editing a cron tasks that the times represent UTC. Remove the "s" accesskey from various locations as it can cause conflicts. Ensure that the content of the code BB code is displayed LTR to allow a horizontal scrollbar to be displayed as needed. Slightly adjust the vertical alignment of button icons to make them slightly more consistent across browsers. Update various links to external services to their current URLs. Ensure an image is included in the metadata for a thread. Prevent inline editing from being triggered twice in certain scenarios. Adjust how some JS animations are triggered to prevent problems when trying to cancel/interrupt them. Improve detection of the base URL in certain obscure server setups. See the resolved 2.x bug reports forum for further information.

The following public templates have had changes:

Note: add-ons and customizations made for XenForo 1.x will not be compatible with XenForo 2. If your site relies upon add-ons for essential functionality, ensure that a XenForo 2 version of the add-on is available before you start to upgrade. Style customizations will need to be redone and will not be maintained after the upgrade. We strongly recommend you make a backup before attempting an upgrade.

    Requirements

Please note that XenForo 2.0 has higher system requirements than XenForo 1.x. We will be updating the requirements test script in the near future to reflect this. The following are minimum requirements:

Full details of how to install and upgrade XenForo can be found in the XenForo 2 Manual.

Note that when upgrading from XenForo 1.x, all add-ons will be disabled and style customizations will not be maintained. New versions of add-ons will need to be installed and customizations will need to be redone. We strongly recommended that you make a backup before attempting an upgrade. Once upgraded, you will not be able to downgrade without restoring from a backup.

Installation, Upgrading and Configuration of Add-ons

XenForo 2 add-ons have a standard structure so installation and upgrade processes will generally be the same for all add-ons. General add-on installation and upgrade instructions can be found in the XenForo 2 Manual.

Within the manual, there are specific pages discussing how each add-on can be used and configured.
