  1. David Dhawan’s Aankhen, featuring Govinda, Chunky Panday, Ritu Shivpuri, and Raageshwari Loomba in the lead roles, was released in 1993 and turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. Fans loved Govinda's double role in the film while the song O Laal Dupatte Wali too became a rage. However, did you know Aamir Khan disliked the film? Yes, you read that right! During an interview at that time, he even criticized Aankhen for being "too crude" and "vulgar". Aamir, who is also called 'Mr. Perfectionist', is known for choosing scripts that earn critical acclaim as well as box office success. Also, he never thinks twice before sharing his honest opinion about a film. In the 90s, he did the same in the case of Aankhen as well. In an interview with a Vancouver-based media portal, the Ghajini star opened up about Govinda's Aankhen and said, "David Dhawan jo film ke director hain, he’s a close friend of mine, and film mujhe personally pasand nahi aayi. Shayad David ko ye baat maloom bhi hogi, aur kyun itni badi hit hui ye main bhi nahi jaanta. Meri ye feeling thi ki, the film was too crude, for me it was vulgar, some of the scenes, toh isiliye mujhe pasand nahi aayi. But maybe the audiences liked it, I don’t know". View this post on Instagram After hearing this, the interviewer shared, "Ho sakta hai numerologically and astrologically unka waqt sahi hoga," to this, Aamir Khan answered, "Uske alawa ek cheez hoti hai audience ki psyche. Aksar kya hota jaise aap dekhein India mein, there was lot of troubled times that time, riots hue the, Bombay mein bomb blast hue the toh mahaul bohot hi tension ka ho gaya tha. Usme ek aisi utt pataang type ki film ayi toh audience totally freaked out". He concluded by saying, it's my theory and I might be totally wrong as well but these things happen. Watch the video here: For the unversed, Aankhen was the highest-grossing Indian film of 1993 and also featured Kader Khan, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Raj Babbar in pivotal roles. Later, in 1995, it was remade into Telugu as Pokiri Raja. Coming back to Aamir, he will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. Directed by Advait Chandan, the much-awaited movie is the official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' classic Forrest Gump. While Govinda is not too active on the Bollywood front now. View the full article
  2. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday in the Panama Papers leak case. Her name was featured in the list of 500 Indians who were named in the Panama Papers in which 11.5 million tax documents were leaked, exposing several world leaders and celebrities who had allegedly stashed away money abroad in offshore companies. The probe agency recorded her statement over claims she parked her money in a company based in the British Virgin Islands. As per sources in the NDTV report, she had been summoned earlier but twice sought more time. The Enforcement Directorate started investigating the allegations in 2017. View this post on Instagram According to reports, the officials said she was questioned for about six hours. The actor then left the ED office at around 7 pm yesterday but what followed her exit was horrendous. As she was heading towards her car, she was literally mobbed by people and the paparazzi that were stationed outside the office. View this post on Instagram It’s sad to see how people are okay with the fact she was literally struggling to get to her car. Despite all the claims and controversies, she shouldn’t be objected to such harassment as she is entitled to her safety. People bashed her for creating a fake aura about her in public. People also called the family of Bachchans a family of thieves. We are glad that people also called out this cheap behaviour by the paps and onlookers present there. Here are the reactions: © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram In an earlier interview with CNN-News18's Rajeev Masand, Aishwarya addressed the trolls and said, “I look at it as an insight into minds. At the end of the day, it's an insight into some kind of psychology or what's really going on or how people think.” She has often been trolled for being an overprotective mother to Aaradhya. About getting trolled for always being by her daughter's side, she said, “I react (when cameras come too close). If my arm is around Aaradhya, people will say the mother is very clingy. I hear all this when it is already a couple of days later so it is kind of over. I don’t let it define me. I don’t change how I take care of Aaradhya or how I define myself based on all of this. Judge me for it but I will love her, embrace her. She is my daughter." What do you have to say about this fiasco? Let us know in the comments section below. View the full article

  4. Ranbir Kapoor, who turned 38 this year, is set to star in upcoming projects titled Brahmastra, Andaz Apna Apna 2, Shamshera, Devil, and Raja Krishna Menon and Luv Ranjan's next, respectively for this year and the upcoming year. View this post on InstagramRumi. First, he was Rumi. Rumi with long hair. This image is from an early look test for the movie. Rumi said, ‘Love is the bridge between you and everything...’, and that feeling is the foundation we started building the protagonist of this movie on... But then, there was new inspiration, newer thoughts... Dragon became Brahmāstra, we gave Ranbir a haircut, and Rumi became... Shiva. #brahmastra #shivadiaries #memories #creativeprocess #evolvingA post shared by (@ayan_mukerji) Amid Unlock 5, clearly with a lot on his plate, the superstar has resumed work on these projects and has started stepping out more often. However, considering that the COVID-19 virus is still a real threat, he's making sure that he's taking all the precautions seriously. Recently, Ranbir was spotted stepping outside with his mother Neetu Kapoor. Also, Ranbir was seen riding a mountain bike for the fun of it. However, we were more interested in looking at his functional outfit. Take a look at what he wore here: © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He was seen wearing a navy blue solid t-shirt that was perfect for him, paired with a pair of ripped jeans. He was also wearing a NY snapback. To complete this casual look, which we feel was perfect for this weather, he wore the Air Jordan 1 High OG sneakers. Take a look at the sneakers here: © Farfetch The sneaker silhouette is priced at 1,445 US Dollars which comes down to Rs 1,05,000 approximately. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Ranbir Kapoor is also a sneakerhead. A fact known by all his fans. This aspect of his life has always been a point of conversation in most of his interviews. From extremely affordable to odd and rare collectables, he's got them all in his sneaker closet. © Viral Bhayani The high-top Jordans are one of his favourite pairs that he keeps repeating from time to time. That way, we feel Ranbir Kapoor's style choices over the years have also become rather sustainable. © Viral Bhayani Sustainable fashion choices go a long way in sending out a positive message. We're glad that celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor are driving this change. View the full article
  5. Vijay Deverakonda is a Tollywood star who has a brazen sense of style. His ensembles have at least one intriguing element that people don't stop raving about for a while. Remember the time when he created a buzz wearing sliders worth Rs 45K? Clearly, Vijay is OTT with his choices and he looks good, no matter what he wears. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Recently, he was papped at the airport with yet another head-turning fashion statement. And no, we are not talking about his joggers or mini pants, but his torn jeans that instantly stole all the thunder. Take a look here: © Viral Bhayani What's interesting about his pants is the fact that even though they are distressed, they still look super comfy for the airport. Add to that, his basic black T-shirt with a beanie makes it look uber-cool and this is truly a perfect way to jet off in style. It's unlikely that this trend will become obsolete and with so many versions -- from subtle rips to highly shredded -- these pants are now a popular choice. We have seen them on elite B-town celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor and Dino Morea, thanks to the edgy silhouette that instantly makes them a versatile addition. © Viral Bhayani Now, if you are figuring out a way to work your casual Fridays look or amp up your weekend style game, we got you covered with Vijay's recent fashion experiment. The subtle charm of this ensemble with a street style edge to it shows that he is raising the stakes only higher with his airport fashion. Kudos to you Vijay for that! View the full article
