  1. Pretty sure the title of this story got you hooked for obvious reasons. What is photography if you don't have the eyes to see what you are capturing? Enter Pranav Lal, who is here to prove it to you that photography is much more than just capturing what you see. Pranav suffered from Retinopathy of Prematurity at birth which resulted in him being completely blind ever since. However, this didn't stop the man from pursuing all that he was about passionate about. © YouTube The child in him was always fascinated with science and technology and so, working in a related field came naturally to him. With his determination and immense knowledge, he went on to become a professional cyber security analyst. However, that wasn't enough to push his creative and visual boundaries and so he decided to take up photography. Obviously, it didn't come easy to him until 2001 when he discovered a technology that changed his life for good. He found 'vOICe'. © YouTube 'vOICe' works as an artificial eye, and helps visually impaired people with navigation. The software converts the sights around you to sound and the image gets broken down to three attributes- panning the sound from left to right tells you the placement of objects in the horizontal plane, the higher the pitch of the sound, the higher is the object and the volume of the sound represents the amount of brightness. The person listens to these sounds through specially designed bone conduction headphones, and then uses a second camera to click photos. © YouTube But it isn't just for photography that Lal uses vOICe. He uses it for everything from navigation to designing web pages. However the software cannot recognise facial features yet, so Pranav focuses on capturing landscapes, nature, buildings, and machinery and we have to say, his photographs are truly beautiful. © Techesoterica © Techesoterica © Techesoterica Apart from photography, he also loves to travel and has journeyed extensively in India, including trekking to the Himalayas. © Techesoterica He also is a regular blogger and can be followed on his blog, www.techesoterica.com (http://techesoterica.com) which focuses on sensory substitution. The world has recognized his talent and he has been invited to speak at different events including a TED talk. You can listen to his story in his own words here: Constant support from his parents and new-age technology were exactly what Pranav needed to pursue his passion, and to prove to the world that if you are bent upon doing something, you will eventually find a way.
  2. NOTE: For the ease of readers, I will be talking about protein in grams per Kg of bodyweight, unlike grams per 'pound' of bodyweight. Protein is the star of macronutrients. There is so much talk about protein and different experts recommend different amount of protein intake that it creates a lot of confusion. How much Protein do you really need? Some (doctors and registered dietitians) recommend a very low dose of protein ~0.5g gram per kg body weight per day. On the other hand, some gym bros (bodybuilders and powerlifters) recommend a very high dose, that is up to 2.5 - 3.5 grams per kilo of body weight. Like most things in science, the answer isn't black or white but finding your perfect grey spot. A little about protein © YouTube Protein is one of the four macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats, alcohol being the other three) the body needs. Calories Per Gram In Macronutrients Protein: 4 Cals Carbohydrates: 4 Cals Fats; 9 Cals Alcohol: 7 Cals Unlike the other three macronutrients, it is very inconvenient for the body to get usable energy from protein. Protein is broken down into amino acids and it serves a structural role as a building block of muscle tissues. In a nutshell, protein is the most energy inefficient macronutrient but is absolutely essential for muscle building. Where Doctors And Dieticians Went Wrong With the risk of overstepping my bounds as a coach (because they have a 5+ years of a degree and I do not) the recommended daily protein intake by doctors and dieticians is far below optimal. Why? That's because most of the nutritional research is on: General Health or Preventing Malnutrition of sedentary individuals. Hence, doctors and dieticians are prescribing protein intake for general well being (maintaining neutral nitrogen balance in the body) and NOT building muscle. We lifters are interested in building new muscle tissues which requires a positive nitrogen balance. Thus, 2 bowls of daal and 2 eggs a day is FAR from being sufficient. Protein Intake During Bulking © YouTube A bro scientist might recommend a super high protein intake such as ~2.5-3.5g gram per kilo of body weight, expecting bigger gains. But it is not the protein which forces your body to adapt and grow big. It is the training adaptation and overall calorie intake. And it is a slow process. During a bulking phase when you're in a caloric surplus your body's protein breakdown will be lower and a protein intake of 1.7-2.2 gram per kg body weight will be sufficient to maintain positive nitrogen balance in the body. However, if you are still hungry on a 500 calorie surplus, it is better to increase protein than increasing carbs or fats because body-fat gains from excess protein consumption will be minimal. Protein Intake During Cutting © YouTube Things get tricky here! As I mentioned earlier- protein is an energy inefficient macronutrient. But while dieting you should follow a calorie budget and your carb and fat intake is usually lower. Therefore, body starts breaking down more and more protein for energy as there are limited sources of energy left to it. Hence, while dieting, higher protein intake, such as 2.3-2.4 gram per kilo is studied to be useful for muscle mass retention and feeling fuller. 3. iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X and iPhone 8 models are displayed during an Apple launch event in Cupertino, California, US, September 12, 2017. Photo: Reuters WASHINGTON: The chairman of a US Senate committee overseeing business issues asked Apple Inc to answer questions about its disclosure that it slowed older iPhones with flagging batteries, according to a letter seen by Reuters on Wednesday. The California-based company apologized over the issue on December 28, cut battery replacement costs and said it will change its software to show users whether their phone battery is good. Senator John Thune, a Republican who chairs the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, said in a January 9 letter to Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook that ?the large volume of consumer criticism levelled against the company in light of its admission suggests that there should have been better transparency.? Apple said it will cut the price of a replacement for an out-of-warranty battery to $29 from $79 for an iPhone 6 or later. The company also will update its iOS operating system so users can see whether the battery is in poor condition and affecting the phone?s performance. Thune asked if Apple considered making free battery replacements available or if it explored offering rebates for customers who paid full price for replacement batteries. He also wants to know if Apple notified consumers of the throttling feature in software updates, which slows the phone, and if customers had the option of declining the update. The letter also asked if a similar software was used in earlier iPhone models. Thune wants Apple?s answers by January 23. An Apple spokesman did not respond to a request for comment early Wednesday. Apple addressed the concerns about the quality and durability of its products at a time when it is charging $999 for its newest flagship model, the iPhone X. ?We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down,? it said last month. ?We apologize.? Apple acknowledged earlier in December that iPhone software can slow down some phones with battery problems. Apple said the problem was that ageing lithium batteries delivered power unevenly, which could cause iPhones to shut down unexpectedly to protect the delicate circuits inside. That disclosure played on a common belief among consumers that Apple purposely slows down older phones to encourage customers to buy newer iPhone models. While no credible evidence has emerged that Apple engaged in such conduct, the battery disclosure struck a nerve on social media and elsewhere. Lawsuits have been filed in California, New York and Illinois alleging the company defrauded users by slowing down devices without warning. The company also faces a legal complaint in France, where so-called ?planned obsolesce? is against the law.
  4. When I started creating communities close to two decades ago, getting new members was easy. All you had to do was put up a script, create some "Chat here" forums and email your friends. It didn't take long for word to spread and you had a healthy forum buzzing with conversation. Now, it's different. The internet is a crowded space. No matter what your niche, you will be competing with other businesses for visitors. You need a solid strategy to succeed, and I want to help you. Before you open the doors to your new community, consider the following questions. What is your vision? Your community must have a strong reason to attract visitors. Write down your community's purpose and bullet point how you will achieve it. When you configure and set up your community, keep asking yourself "does this fit my vision". For example. Consider a fitness professional who is launching a community. The vision is to educate your audience on good nutrition and exercise. You then have subscription based packages for one-to-one coaching. This is a very focused vision. You will create one or two forums for the public areas. You will leverage clubs for the paid memberships. You wouldn't create forums for non-fitness areas such as technology or movies. You will strip the complexity back to encourage interaction as your target market may not be very technical. What is your voice? You will lead your community and set the tone. If you are handling investment portfolios then you will want the tone to be friendly, but professional. If you are creating a forum for marathon runners, you'd want to use a lot of running "lingo" and be informal and fun. Consider your target audience. Think about how they would like to be treated. How would they like your interactions to be? Once you have found your voice, keep it consistent. Your members will follow your lead and keep your community positive. How are you going to onboard new members? If you want people to join in with your new community, you need to hold their hand and show them why they are important to you. They will want to feel comfortable and valued in your community. When you are starting out, take the time to welcome each new member and point them to any welcome guides you may have. You can create and pin a topic that explains how to get started. When a new member joins, link them to that topic. You should also use profile completion to politely enforce the use of a user photo. A photo personalises a user's profile and reminds that you are speaking to a human! Remind them to set up email notifications so they won't miss any exciting updates or new topics. What is your promotion strategy? No matter how great your content is, it needs promoting. There are several great ways to do this. You can create a monthly email sent to all members. You can outline any important topics or articles. You can list upcoming events. You can promote your articles to Facebook and Twitter. Make the headlines interesting to encourage clicks into your content. By driving traffic back to your site, you will increase your membership. How often are you going to contribute to your own community? In the early days of your new community, you will have to be very active. You will want to welcome new members and keep conversations alive. You will be creating new conversations for others to contribute in. You must budget time for this and be consistent. Show up every day. I recommend setting aside two blocks of 30 minutes each day. Use that time to reply to any new topics and to kick off a few of your own. Visit early in the morning, and again in the evening. How are you going to reward active members? Once you community gets going, some individuals will stand out as leaders. These leaders are well respected and encourage others to take part. Create a special member group with better privileges such as increased storage space, or the ability to create post signatures. Give them a special badge and member title. It will show that you respect and appreciate their contributions. Having a small number of community leaders will save you time. They will always have their fingers on the pulse and can feedback any issues before they develop into something serious. Are you going to funnel discussion into your community? Your community is one part of your site. If you have pages and articles up elsewhere, I recommend you encourage posting in the forums. At the end of each article, link to a related forum and ask for their thoughts. People love sharing their thoughts and opinions. Summary Taking the time to create a strategy will pay dividends later. Getting into a professional and focused mindset will make you stand out from the crowd. Knowing the exact purpose of your community and how to execute it is key for success. Thinking about the questions posed above is a great start. It should make you think about your target audience and how to serve them. It may even create more questions. I'd love to help you answer them. Let me know what your plans are for your community.

  6. The Pentagon is shown with the Air Force Memorial in the foreground in Arlington, Virginia, U.S., September 11, 2017. Photo: REUTERS WASHINGTON: The Pentagon acknowledged on Saturday that its long-secret UFO investigation program ended in 2012 when US defense officials shifted attention and funding to other priorities. But as to whether the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program has continued to investigate UFO sightings since its funding ended five years ago could rank as an unexplained phenomenon. The New York Times reported on Saturday that the hush-hush programme, tasked with investigating sightings of unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, ran from 2007 to 2012 with $22 million in annual funding secretly tucked away in US Defense Department budgets worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Its initial funding came largely at the request of former Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat long known for his enthusiasm for space phenomena, the newspaper said. Yet according to its backers, the program remains in existence and officials continue to investigate UFO episodes brought to their attention by service members, the newspaper said. The Pentagon openly acknowledged the fate of the programme in response to a Reuters query. ?The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program ended in the 2012 timeframe,? Pentagon spokeswoman Laura Ochoa said in an email. ?It was determined that there were other, higher priority issues that merited funding and it was in the best interest of the DoD to make a change,? she said. But the Pentagon was less clear about whether the UFO programme continues to hover somewhere in the vast universe of the US defense establishment. ?The DoD takes seriously all threats and potential threats to our people, our assets, and our mission and takes action whenever credible information is developed,? Ochoa said. What is less in doubt is former senator Reid?s enthusiasm for UFOs and his likely role in launching the Pentagon initiative to identify advanced aviation threats. ?If you?ve talked to Harry Reid for > 60 seconds then it?s the least surprising thing ever that he loves UFOs and got an earmark to study them,? former Reid spokeswoman Kristen Orthman said in a message on Twitter. Or as Reid himself said in a tweet that linked to the Times? story: ?The truth is out there. Seriously.?
  7. Talk about two of the most popular and oldest political parties of the country -Congress and BJP and you'll have people indulging in heated discussions and debates within minutes. Every day we see members of both parties making remarks on the opposition. But recently, these remarks sparked a major debate across the country. The word 'neech' was used for PM Narendra Modi by one of the Congress members and it obviously did not go down well with the PM. During the ongoing Gujarat election campaign, Modi recalled all the insults that have been directed at him by Congress in a speech and it was accompanied by a number of tweets on the same issue. I have nothing to say on a 'wise' Congress leader calling me 'Neech'. This is the Congress mindset. They have their language and we have our work. People will answer them through the ballot box. https://t.co/2McoZnaoar pic.twitter.com/icGqAphUzy — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) December 7, 2017 Congress, including their topmost leaders have abused me in deplorable language. My poor background, my family, my low caste…they have spared nothing. I have nothing to say to them, my focus is India and 125 crore Indians. https://t.co/b5vlWwdhJw — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) December 8, 2017 While BJP is talking about development and sharing our vision for Gujarat, Congress is busy abusing me. Latest to join the list is a young Congress leader who asks me who my parents are…I tell him and his party- my everything is India and 125 crore Indians. pic.twitter.com/xWrQDfcz5d — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) December 9, 2017 He also asked, “Where is the decency in the language Congress leaders have used for me? What did I do to deserve this? Is it my crime that the people of India have reposed their faith in me?” © Facebook But what caught major attention was the big question in the above statement: 'What did I do to deserve this?' Although all of these are supposed to be rhetorical, an aam aadmi took it a little too seriously. Devdan Chaudhari, a common man just like the rest of us and an author, decided to give a long reply to PM's question in a Facebook post. And by long we mean 22 points long. Here's the list: 1. For destroying India's economy via Demonetisation and not taking responsibility for the damage it has done. 2. For destroying the traditional plural culture of our ancient land via organised polarisation - not just religious, but also regional, linguistic and cultural. 3. For destroying the profound teachings of Hinduism/ Sanatan Dharma by placing Savarkar's fascist Hindutva as Hinduism. 4. For continuing the charade of fake nationalism when your deeds and policies are only harming India. 5. For being a government - not of India - but of Hindutva forces, crony corporations and foreign vested interests - especially the Zionist global banking cartel. 6. For false promises and falsehoods which are being spread through multiple channels everyday. 7. For violating the principles of the Indian Constitution by introducing theocratic militant nationalism and anti-privacy/ anti-freedom Aadhaar. 8. For destroying the pillars of Democracy by de-fanging media and institutions - which are critical to offer any semblance of truth and justice. 9. For not listening to people and the diversity of voices - but to impose dictates via coercion and intimidation. 10. For being anti-intellectual and actively promoting the hatred of the learned and the educated. 11. For doing all the tricks in the book to curb dissent and freedom of expression. 12. For sinking all the human development indexes since 2014. 13. For waging a fake 'morality play 'of anti-corruption crusade when the real policies of the government point to the opposite direction. 14. For hiding from unscripted questions which the people want to ask you - no single press conference since you came to power. 15. For focussing on PR, publicity, events and propaganda, but not the real issues of the nation. 16. For ruining India's traditional 'non-aligned' foreign policy. 17. For instigating the ego - hate and greed - through your theatrical 'carrot and stick' speeches. 18. For surrounding yourself with sycophants who have no talent for governance. 19. For being obsessive about grandiose ideas/ misplaced priorities and failing to deliver. 20. For misunderstanding the meaning of 'development' by neglecting social justice. 21. For being pro-super-rich and putting the poor and the Middle class under the technocratic Neoliberal Economic policies which have hollowed out the West. 22. For raging a war against India via the toxic brew of Hindutva and Neoliberalism, and destroying the people's faith and trust upon the government. His Facebook post went viral garnering 3,000 likes and over 2,000 shares. Here's the original FB post: It isn't known whether this answer has caught the PM's attention or his team's but in case it does, we wonder how he'll respond.
  8. Marriyum Aurangzeb/File photo ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb hit out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday, asking the leader how he would answer the courts when he could not even answer MNA Ayesha Gulalai over her allegations of misconduct. The minister questioned whether the PTI chief finally felt ashamed after appearing before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) earlier today, which is hearing four cases against him including the 2014 attack on the state television building, the Parliament and then SSP Operations Asmatullah Junejo. ?Imran sahib, don?t become a [contractor] for the Model Town tragedy; first answer why you attacked the Parliament and assaulted the police,? Aurangzeb said. ?You are still standing on containers while a thousand schools have closed down in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to low enrollment,? she continued, pointing out that if he ?really cared about [eliminating] corruption then he would not have shut down accountability commission in KP province.? The minister further alleged that Imran Khan is making the noise simply to ?hide away corruption of his government, ministers and himself.? She added that a punishment for the PTI chief in the cases against him is ?much awaited?. The ATC hearing the cases against Imran Khan today dismissed his request to quash the terror charges and send the case to a lower court. As the ATC resumed hearing the cases, Khan?s counsel, Babar Awan, pleaded before ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand to remove the terrorism clauses from the charges against his client. ATC dismisses Imran Khan's plea to quash terror charges The ATC is hearing four cases against the PTI chief regarding the violence during the 2014 protest sit-in He said protesting for one's rights, with slingshots and sticks, is not terrorism but a democratic right. However, the state prosecutor said there is solid evidence against the PTI chief of instigating party workers against the state. The court then dismissed the plea and ordered the PTI chief to appear before it at the next hearing on December 19.

On one hand, we have Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper who made his international debut almost a decade ago, and has been nothing but consistent with his ability to score. The Indian team captain has been breaking records all throughout his career, and when it comes to having the most centuries in ODIs, he is only behind the living legend Sachin Tendulkar. And then we have Manushi Chhillar, who made the whole country proud by bringing home the Miss World crown after 17 long years. When both of these icons met at an event recently, Manushi had a very important question for the Indian captain. © Twitter While attending the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2017 Awards, the recently crowned Miss World took the opportunity to ask Kohli how he continues to inspire everyone. She questioned, “You are one of the best batsmen in the world today and you've been such an inspiration. You've really given back to the society. But there are a lot of young people who draw inspiration from you. How would you like to give back for children, especially in the world of cricket?” #IndianOfTheYear - Miss World 2017 @ManushiChhillar had a question for team India skipper @imVkohli Watch the event here - https://t.co/Nr4TFMc7XT and Jio TV | #IndianOfTheYear @reliancejio @JioChat pic.twitter.com/p1W5ce8W9E — News18 (@CNNnews18) November 30, 2017 As expected, he gave a brilliant reply. He said, “Well, what's very important to understand is when you do what you do and you express yourself on the field, it has to be genuine and it has to be from the heart. Otherwise if people find out that you're trying to pretend, then they can never connect to you. I've never tried to be anyone else. I've always been myself; I always mention that people had a lot of issues with how I was, how I conducted myself, but I had never had any problems with that.” © Twitter He continued, “The moment I started to think that I need to change, is the only time I changed. Everyone has to go through a mutual process to be where they get to in life to become more mature. What's very important to understand is one should never lose their own identity, character and personality because if you try to be someone else you can never succeed, and you can never inspire others.” “The one thing that I believe in is that there's something much stronger that's making us do what we do. We ourselves don't have the ability to go out there, score runs and take wickets all the time. We must believe that everyone has a plan and that plan has been executed for them at the time they are in, and all they can do is work hard, no one can change the plan, what we can do is work hard and be honest with ourselves.” © Twitter Whether it is on or off the field, he always knows what to do and say, and it's no wonder he is a huge inspiration for the youth of the country. Virat Kohli also went on to present the 'Indian of the Year- Individual Special Achievement' to Manushi Chhillar, and it seems like the pictures of them together are the only thing people can talk about right now.

Defeating 108 contestants from various nations, she won the coveted title, proving that she was every bit worthy of it. Manushi is involved in various social activities as well and after winning Miss India, she started an awareness campaign about menstrual hygiene. Talking about it to the media, she said, “The cause is close to my heart, and in my own way, I have managed to make a difference in the lives of about 5,000 women. It wouldn't be wrong to say that what she felt and expressed played a huge role. (c) AP The judges asked her, in her opinion which profession deserves the highest pay and why. To which she replied, “I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary it's not always about cash but I feel it's the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life. All mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. So, I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the highest salary.” Check out the video here: Well, this answer was definitely the one that touched everyone's heart and we are totally impressed by this beautiful lady. When the students of Draper University visited the Tesla factory, Elon Musk was asked, "As an established entrepreneur, what is the number one tip you have for all the young entrepreneurs waiting to startup? To which he replied, "I think it's very difficult to start companies, it's quite painful. A friend of mine has a good phrase for doing a startup: it's like eating glass and staring into the abyss. If you are wired to do it, then only do it, not otherwise. So think of it this way - if you need inspiring words, DON'T DO IT!" In its detailed verdict issued Tuesday, the apex court observed that no error has been identified in the Panama case, which could be reviewed and the accountability court is free to make a decision on the basis of nature of evidence, the verdict read. The trial court has the authority to reject the weak evidence. "The facts about the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister were uncontroversial," the apex court observed in its verdict, maintaining that it could not be said the decision surprised Nawaz Sharif.
  14. If you want an edge in your lifting capacity and you are a natural athlete, Creatine is your savior. In the same way, if you want your muscles to have a fuller look, creatine is the supplement that will help you. With this piece I will break down the science behind the consumption timing of creatine and how it affects its efficiency. Also, should you be taking creatine on non training days? Let's dig into the answers. Creatine Timing- Pre Or Post Workout? The question- should creatine be taken before, or after the workout? Or can it be consumed irrespective of the clock? To answer this, let's look at some studies. A study conducted by Exercise Metabolism Unit compared the timings of supplement intake. One group consumed creatine near to their workout (Pre or Post) and another group took creatine keeping a gap in between their workout (Pre or Post). The group which took creatine soon before or after their workout gained more strength and muscle mass as compared to the group that took creatine in the morning or in the evening, irrespective of workout timings. Therefore, it certainly does make sense to take creatine near to your workout, either immediately before or after. Creatine On Rest Days- Should You Or Shouldn't You? The only purpose to take creatine on rest days is to keep creatine levels in your muscles elevated. If you are loading creatine, you have to follow the loading cycle which requires you to take 20gm of creatine irrespective of your training days. If you are on the maintenance dose of 3 to 5gm per day, you still have to take it on the rest days to maintain the high levels on creatine concentration in your muscles. However, it is more important to not to skip creatine on rest days if you are loading creatine otherwise loading will not happen. A continuous high dose of 20gm is necessary for 5 days to load it. On the other hand, even if you miss a maintenance dose of 3 to 5grams on your rest day, it won't make a major difference. Ideally, you should take it on rest days too. Another important thing to note is that creatine absorption increases if it is consumed with carbohydrates. Also, protein and amino acids also increase the extent to which your body retains creatine. Therefore consuming creatine with a balanced meal of carb and protein is also a good strategy to follow for maximum absorption of creatine. 15. Break ups are hard and they hurt a boatload, despite having all the right coping mechanisms in place. We bet you still remember the harshest break up of your life and how you dealt with the same. There is a degree of the level of hurt you endure post a break up. It also depends on the kind of break up you have recently gone through, but are some break ups worse than the other? © Thinkstock Sure there are numerous reason for a break up. Like not wanting to make a long distance relationship work or being cheated on or even breaking up on the grounds of two people falling apart because of personality crashes. Each form of break up comes with a different emotion and a feeling attached to it. But there is a kind of break up which is labelled as the mother of all break ups. According to a new research through a study by Cornell University, published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, the most hurtful break up is actually experienced when you're dumped by someone, also known as ‘comparative rejection'. The results through this study state that a comparative form of rejection is way more hurtful than a non-comparative rejection because such a sense of rejection results in “increased sense of exclusion and decreased belonging”. Well, if science is saying so, we might as well believe it and probably experience it sometime down the line, if we haven't already! The study carried out involved 600 people undergoing four different forms of experiment to determine the hardest break up to deal with. The first study involved two women who were secretly working with scientists and one man, who was on his own. To figure how the man dealt with rejection, one of the women was given a puzzle to solve, along with three choices. Her first choice was to either work alone, the second to work with the other woman and the third to work with the man. The results, a little surprising, stated that the woman chose to either work alone or with the other woman, excluding the man completely out of the equation. © Thinkstock There were other studies carried out too, where larger groups of people expressed how they felt at different times of their lives, whilst dealing with rejection. The study largely revealed that most people had difficulties dealing with basic level of rejection in social groups, when someone else was picked over them. This accumulatively indicated that rejecting someone and choosing one person over the other in romantic dealings can cause a bigger heartbreak than any other rational reason behind a break up. The study was conducted for general social rejections and rejection in a romantic relationship as well. Mostly, the researchers also found that the people who were being rejected were not getting the right answers as to why they were being rejected and they would indulge in finding solutions, answers and explanations even if it caused them a lot of pain and if they weren't given an explanation, they would, on autopilot, assume that there was someone else in the picture. © Thinkstock Rejection, lets face it, is a tough ordeal to deal with. It could be in a social circle, at a workplace or most commonly in a romantic relationship and it feels downright ugly and makes one feel unwanted. It's not a pleasant ride, especially when someone you love leaves you for another person, for whatever his or her reason might be. The best way to deal with it though is to get the answer you seek. If you're being rejected, it's best to ask the rejecter what his or her reasons are for rejection. That way, you can make peace with the explanation given and move on in due time and not hold on to the negativity of the experience. © Thinkstock This experiment was sure as hell an eye opener and if you're going through the torment of rejection right now, its best to seek the right explanation and not lose hope in yourself or the world around you.
  16. In my previous article I covered the reasons to avoid upright rows and why it's extremely dangerous. With this piece, I will be shedding some light on another risky exercise, which is the ‘behind the neck shoulder press'. Why is it risky and why is it considered one of the most dangerous exercises in the gym? Here's the low down. © Tnation The shoulder joint is one of the most mobile, yet the most vulnerable joints in our body. It's a ball and socket joint which is connected at a very shallow glenoid cavity. Only 25% of the humeral head (Head of humerus bone/upper arm bone) surface makes contact with the cavity. This makes the joint vulnerable to injuries and at the same time, allows a 360-degree movement to the shoulders as well. While in the upright row, where internal rotation with resistance was the key issue, with behind the neck back press, it's just the opposite. An externally rotated shoulder with resistance (weights) in your hands makes it a dangerous position for the shoulder joint to be in. This Is What Happens In The Shoulder Joint During A ‘Behind The Neck Back Press' © Thinkstock/Getty Images Like I said, rotating your arms externally with a heavy load is risky. During a ‘behind the neck back press', the shoulder joint gets externally rotated and stretches to its extreme, which further adds a lot of pressure at the rotator cuff (stabilizers) muscles. In extreme cases, where the exercise is performed explosively, it can also lead to either a rotator cuff tear or an anterior shoulder dislocation. I Have Been Doing This Exercise For Years And My Shoulder Joint Is Safe, So Should I Continue Or Not? It is important to understand that biomechanically incorrect exercises won't necessarily lead to acute injuries. However, prolonged practice of such exercises will surely tax your joint health in the long run. As a lifter, your objective should always be to pick exercises where the risk associated does not surpass its benefits. If you really want to train for a lifetime, it is always smart to pick exercises which are safer for your joint health. One bad injury can screw up everything and always remember that precaution is always better than the cure! The Final Word The ‘behind the neck shoulder press' is primarily done for the anterior deltoids. As a matter of fact, we have a much safer options like the military press, shoulder dumbbell press and so on, to target the anterior deltoids. Therefore, be a smart lifter and choose exercises that allow you to train injury free, without taxing your joint health. 17. Hitting the chest is almost everybody's favorite, unless of course, you are a jogger. While a lot of dudes think that pressing is all there is to chest training, there's a lot more. A lot of effort while training the chest is also wasted doing exercises that not only tax joint health but also, don't engage the pectorals much. One such overrated chest exercise is the hammer grip closed-elbow dumbbell chest press. Why is it not an effective choice? Let's find out. © Coachmag Understanding the Chest Muscles Chest muscles aka the pectorals, are broadly categorized as pectoralis major (the lower and middle chest) and pectorals minor or the upper chest. Pectoralis Major originates from the clavicle/collar bone and the sternum. It inserts at the humerus bone of upper arm. © Teach me anatomy On the other hand, the Pectoralis Minor originates from ribs 1 to 5 and inserts at the scapula blade. The key function of the pectoral muscles is horizontal adduction and internal rotation of the humerus bone. This Is What Happens When You Do A Hammer Grip Closed-Elbow Dumbbell Chest Press © Youtube When we abduct our arms and get to the position to perform the chest press with dumbbells (90 degree angle), our pectoralis muscles is at a point where it is lengthened. However, when we use the hammer grip and bring the elbows close to the body, the chest muscles don't effectively lengthen and the load is borne primarily by the triceps and shoulders. Therefore, technically, the squeeze that you feel isn't your pectorals. Therefore, considering this exercise more effective than the regular chest press is not a smart notion. Remember, don't rank the effectiveness of the exercise just based on the contraction you feel. There are various other biomechanical/ kinesiological factors that determine the effectiveness of an exercise. So Is It Incorrect To Perform This Exercise? © YouTube Well no, not really. I am not saying that a neutral grip chest press with closed elbows is incorrect. It just isn't that effective. There are better and more optimal options to tap your pectorals. However, if you just want try this exercise, go ahead. Hence, sticking to the basics is always more productive, though, adding variations is also good; just make sure you know the real science and logic behind that variation. Have a safe training session! 18. Legends aren't made in a day and neither there is any shortcut to achieve success. It is their hard work that helps them achieve their dreams and gives us that much needed kick to fulfill our own. Sachin's biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams' was one inspirational movie that helped his fans revisit his struggling days. His journey from being the youngest debutant cricketer to becoming the ‘God of Cricket', his struggles touched many a hearts and six-year-old Taara was among those fans. © BCCL At a tender age of six, while many of us were still removing mud from our palms or trying to draw a straight line while writing alphabets, kids these days are writing letters and fan mails. Their writing skills can put any adult to shame and fill their hearts with pride at the same time. At least, this statement stands true for Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's six-year-old fan Taara, whose letter is winning the internet right now. Hi, Taara! Thank you so much for writing to me.. I'm really glad that you enjoyed the movie. Keep smiling :) pic.twitter.com/2UWFJ3kZB9 — sachin tendulkar (@sachin_rt) 8 September 2017 Appreciating the movie, Taara wrote “I recently saw your movie and I loved it. I laughed when I saw what a naughty child you were. I cried when I saw your last match.” Our feelings aren't any different from Taara's, it was indeed a great movie. While we are in love with Taara's heartfelt letter, earlier this year a 7-year-old girl wrote a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai asking him for a job and 9-year-old wrote to NASA applying for the post of planetary protection officer. Having said that, looking at the kids these days, we can't help but feel that our generation possibly had the most relaxed childhood one could ever dream of. From playing outdoor games till late evening, Mario being one of our closest friends, watching cartoons to our hearts content, to focusing on fancy dress competitions in school; we did whatever we loved and loved whatever we did. But, we also can't help acknowledge the fact that today's kids are one of the smartest batches of humankind. They not only know their thing too well, but also do not hesitate from going all out to get what they want.
  19. Every once in a while, a trainer will have to answer a very common question asked by most lifters- how long does one have to rest between sets? For someone who goes by the book, his standard answer would be 3 minutes. Why is 3 min a standard answer? According to science it takes approximately 3 minutes for the ATP (Adenosine tri phosphate) to be replenished after a heavy set. However does everyone lift the same type of weight? Is everyone training for the same type of goal? What are the factors that determine how much time gap should be given between sets? Although text books can say many things, it is up to you to decide how much gap you need. Here are few indicators to figure that out. 1. How heavy is the weight for you? © YouTube The reason I say 'for you' is because one particular weight could be heavy for one person, whereas the same weight could be light for another. The heavier the weight, the longer the break that is required. Not only does the athlete need to recover and get his ATP back again, he will also need to recover his cardio vascular system and get his heart rate back to normal. Lifting really heavy loads also require mental focus and hence it is advisable not to rush. 2. Is your performance depleting as you progress to the next set? © YouTube One of the reasons as to why you cannot lift the next heavy set efficiently is because of lack of proper rest time given in the previous set. If you are compelled to rush to your next set and somehow you seems to lack focus, or you don't seem to have close to same amount of energy you had in the previous set then you need to consider increasing the time period of your break. It is very crucial and important to take an appropriate break between sets especially when you are training for strength , taking shorted breaks will compromise on the effectiveness of the following set and what could have given you 8 reps, would probably survive only 5 to 6. This by itself will give you a wrong indication of your progress. 3. Not all sets in a particular exercise requires the same amount of resting period Pre sets and warm up sets are meant to be done to gain focus and also warm up the body for the following heavy set. It is not required to wait more than 30 to 45 seconds between the prep and warm up sets. However as you start the first main set and move on to the 3rd or 4th, the rest period can increase based on what you think is necessary for you. Too short of a rest will screw up the following sets. Too long of a break such as 5 to 8 minutes could be a waste of time. 4. Did your previous set end up as a failed set? © YouTube Sometimes because of short rest periods, the following set could end up as a failure. Such as a failed bench press that could not reach the lockout at the top and then comes almost crashing onto your chest. In such cases if you feel that you could have done better, make sure you give yourself a longer resting period of about even 5 minutes before you reattempt that set again. 5. Know the difference between giving a generous amount of rest time and procrastinating to do the set © YouTube As advised earlier that heavy duty sets require as long as 5 to 8 minutes or sometimes even 10. The idea of giving your body so much rest is already mentioned earlier. ATP recovery, cardiovascular recovery, mental focus and sometimes even neuro linguistic programming tactics are practiced between these rest periods. However, there's a thin line between all this and actually chickening out and delaying your set due to doubt. Doubt about performing a particular set will not contribute in any way and in fact screw up your set no matter how much break you take. 6. What are your fitness goals Although strength training is the foundation of all basics, not everyone trains for strength at the gym. People train for endurance, metabolic conditioning, HIIT, and cross fit. All these type of workouts require different intervals of rest time. Tabata training is one type of training where the rest period is only 10 seconds between sets for duration of 8 sets. Kettlebell training also requires short rest periods in order to challenge the cardiovascular system. Hence based on goals and style of training, rest periods differ. Note: As a general rule of the thumb, one can rest for about 5 minutes before attempting a one rep max, 10 to 12 rep maxes don't generally require more than 1.5 minutes and true 6 to 8 reps maxes could do with a 3 minute rest. However this is all according to books and it may differ from person to person. Helius is one of Mumbai's most promising fitness professionals and part time kettle bell lecturer. 20. We all know that nuts are good for health. They contain essential fatty acids and should be a part of your daily diet. Apart from consuming them raw, another form in which these nuts are available is a roasted form. Roasted nuts sell better simply because they taste better. However, some people say that roasting raw nuts decreases their nutritional value which not only makes them unhealthy but also makes them useless. Is it really true or is it just bro science, like almost 90% of the information out there? What Roasting Does To The Nutrition Content- Nothing! Yes, it is true that dry fruits change their form when they are roasted. But it is only their structure and chemical composition that changes. This is reflected by change in their color and their crunchy texture. Since they lose moisture during the roasting process, they turn pale and crunchy. Roasted nuts have a similar amount of carbs, fat and protein, as raw nuts do. Since they are already fat loaded, they can't absorb too much of fat from oil roasting.Though they may have slightly more fat and calories than their raw counterparts, the difference is negligible. Over Roasting Can Make Them Harmful Polyunsaturated fats, which are present in almost all the dry fruits, have a basic property of being damaged in prolonged heat. They oxidize due to excessive heat. The result of this oxidation is that these fats then form harmful free radicals which can damage cells. If you may have noticed, when dry fruits are roasted in excess they produce a foul smell. The reason is that those dry fruits have oxidized and are not fit for consumption anymore. Also, the oxidation of roasted nuts can happen during the storage process. Since prolonged storage of roasted nuts has the risk of oxygen exposure which will lead to oxidation of polyunsaturated fats. Studies Studies have shown that the best way to roast nuts is at low temperature for a limited period of time. Another problem with roasted nuts is the formation of harmful chemicals during the roasting process. There is a chemical reaction called Maillard Reaction which is the reaction between amino acid asparagine and the natural sugar in the nuts. This happens when nuts are heated at high temperature and this is what gives them the brown colour. This reaction could also lead to the formation of Acrylamide which is a harmful substance. Though studies have shown that the amount of acrylamide found in roasted nuts is too less to have an impact on the human body, yet, in the long run, it could be harmful. Raw Nuts Are A Better Choice Though studies show that even raw nuts could be unhealthy if they contain bacteria like salmonella, but if you buy good quality of dry fruits, there's a rare possibility that dry fruit may be contaminated. Make sure that you keep them in a clean environment when you store them. The nutrition content with respect to macros is almost the same for roasted nuts if they are slightly dry roasted as compared to dry nuts. 22. <p>If you have ever been to a gym for even 10 days, you would know that whey protein is. If not, go to MensXP Health and get yourself familiar. This article, though, is not about what whey is. It's about the age old question- HOW to consume it? There are largely 2 schools of thought regarding its consumption. Some say take it with milk while some profess mixing it with water. All the Google searches, YouTube Videos and gym bros have further added confusion to this riddle. With this article though, I will put all these doubts to rest.</p> Things You Should Be Aware About The Manufacturers Want You To Finish Your Whey ASAP <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-1-1501158681.jpg" alt="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-1-1501158681.jpg" />© Thinkstock/Getty Images</p> <p>Supplement companies will always push you towards consuming their product in water, instead of milk. The reason for this is very simple. Let's say you want 30gms of protein after your workout and instead of taking all of it from whey protein, you add a glass of milk. Now milk provides up to 8-10gm of protein. This will lead to your whey protein lasting longer than what the companies want. They want you to purchase another tub ASAP! Any person with average intelligence will comprehend what I am trying to say here, right?</p> Cancerous Misconceptions <p>a) Whey In Water While Cutting And In Milk While Bulking</p> <p>I'll keep it short: this is an idiotic myth. The success of your cut depends on the calorie deficit you have created by manipulating your food intake. Since adding milk to whey adds more calories to the shake, people think that using whey in milk during a cut is not a good idea. But if you calculate the calories from your ‘whey in milk' and you are still in deficit, you will still get ‘cut'. However since most people are already consuming less carbs during a cut, it makes sense to replace the calories (carbs) coming from liquid (milk) with solid food which can be more filling.</p> <p>b) Don't We Need Super Fast Acting Protein After Workout? Won't Milk Make It Slow?</p> <p>Unless you are competing at international level events, you shouldn't even be bothered by the speed of protein digestion. Just make sure you hit your protein requirements for the day and it spreads out evenly in 3-5 meals. That's all! Also, for those who tend to get into the science of things, many studies have proven that a mixture of slow and fast digesting protein provides better environment to your body for building muscle. According to this, too fast digesting protein can also be a bummer. Under normal conditions a fast acting protein (liquid) will rush through the GI track very quickly and may, or may not be absorbed completely. The Protein in milk coagulates the Whey which makes it stay for long and supply you with constant release of amino acids.</p> <p>c) But I've Seen Most People At Gym Taking It With Water</p> <p>Most dudes in the gym do drink whey in milk. But most dudes in the gym are dumb. They literally have no idea of what they are doing. Moreover, you can't trust a bro who thinks that he will miss the anabolic window within 5 minutes! Also, it's easy and convenient to have your protein just with cold water from the water dispenser at the gym. Gyms don't provide milk in general so it becomes more convenient to replace milk with water and not because Whey is better if taken with water.</p> So What Happens When You Add A Scoop Of Whey To Milk? <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-2-1501158712.jpg" alt="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-2-1501158712.jpg" />© Thinkstock/Getty Images</p> <p>When you do this, you are creating a blend of slow and fast acting protein since milk is 80% Casein protein. Again, ‘protein blends' are better than very fast or very slow releasing proteins. Another study showed that a mixture of soya, whey and casein protein is better than whey alone. Although speed of protein digestion and absorption sounds good in theory but these things take place at cellular level inside the body and are too difficult to predict.</p> Sorry But Yes, A lot Of You Are Simply Wasting Your Money On Whey! <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-3-1501158725.jpg" alt="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-3-1501158725.jpg" />© Thinkstock/Getty Images</p> <p>Sorry once again to burst your bubble but not everyone is drinking whey protein post workout. A lot of muscle building enthusiasts don't even have whey protein in their diet. Does that mean are they not serious about building muscle or are they not able to afford it? Hell no! They just try to complete their protein requirements by food itself, which everyone should actually be doing. A lot of fitness professionals eat full solid meal after a workout. Shocking for you, eh? Vegan athletes don't even touch whey. Well, that's the truth my friend. Most fitness models selling supplements simply lie to get a sponsorship. They get paid, you buy the product and the manufacturers make money.</p> Marketing And Advertising Killed Your Common Sense <p>‘You need fast acting protein'. But do you really? Well, definitely not. It's all embedded in your brains by companies and their respective athletes. You really think bodybuilder get big by eat protein alone? The supplement industry is a billion dollar chicken that thrives on the insecurities of people. They make you believe that it's their supp that will get you the body you want. </p> Now, Don't Think That I Am Asking You To Give Up Whey <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-4-1501158744.jpg" alt="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-4-1501158744.jpg" />© Thinkstock/Getty Images</p> <p>Please note one thing that in no way, I am condemning whey consumption. It's a great source of high quality protein. But the notion that you should be drinking ‘only whey protein because it has a supposed mach speed of delivering nutrients to your muscles' is something misleading at best. Any good lean protein source such as egg whites, chicken breast, turkey, etc can also be taken post workout.</p> Exactly Why Fast Acting Protein Doesn't Matter Much <p>What people need to know is that guys who are serious about muscle building already eat an hour or two before working out. This meal should ideally contain protein. These proteins and carbs digest and get absorbed while you are getting done with your workout. It takes time to release amino acids from the protein you have eaten. Even the ‘super fast whey protein' that you have taken before workout can take around 30-90 mins to release amino acids depending upon what you combined it with. This simply means you don`t have to rush like a mad man for a protein shake as soon as you finish your workout. However, if you haven`t eaten anything before a workout or are training fasted, only then you should be rushing to provide protein to your system.</p> Things You Must Remember Take away from the Article <p>1. It will be a loss to companies if you try to fulfill your protein requirements from foods alone.</p> <p>2. You can add milk (*conditions apply) to whey as long as you are not on a Ketogenic diet.</p> <p>3. Bulking or cutting has nothing to do with using milk or not.</p> <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-5-1501158772.jpg" alt="Whey Protein: Should You Have It In Milk Or In Water?" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Jul/whey-protein-should-you-have-it-in-milk-or-in-water-740x400-5-1501158772.jpg" />© Thinkstock/Getty Images</p> <p>4. A mixture of slow and fast acting protein or blend has been shown to be better than whey alone.</p> <p>5. Post workout meal doesn`t have to be a protein shake. Solid meal consisting of lean protein and carbohydrates will also do.</p> <p>6. Unless you want to replace the calories coming from milk with other foods, you don`t have to ditch your creamy milk protein shake.</p> <p>7. Fast digesting protein post workout (whey in water) is of less importance and is in no way better than a bit slower released protein (whey in milk).</p> <p>8. Using Whey Protein in Milk doesn`t mean it is getting wasted.</p> <p>A Couple Of Researches You Can Go Through, If You Still Doubt This Information </p> <p><a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23343671" target="_blank">www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov</a>, <a href="http://www.ergo-log.com/mix-of-casein-whey-soya-protein-after-strength-training.html" target="_blank">www.ergo-log.com</a>, <a href="http://suppversity.blogspot.in/2015/03/whey-casein-superior-post-workout-shake.html" target="_blank">suppversity.blogspot.in</a></p> <p>Now, next time you hear someone saying something about whey in this or whey in that, you know what to make them read!</p> <p>Singh Daman is an On-Floor and online Personal Trainer and PG diploma holder in fitness and nutrition who believes Physical Fitness is as important in one`s life as Breathing,Sleeping and eating. 24. Since dating isn't a topic Indian teenagers find comfortable talking about with the people outside of their age group, it leaves people with a lot of misconceptions. If all the dating advice you got was, ‘Lauv, Sax and Dhokha' then God bless you. Don't sweat though, we will answer 5 most common questions asked by Indian teenagers and you can drop your questions in the comment as well. We would be glad to answer them as well. What is first base, second base and third base? This seems like something everyone would know, right? That is actually the problem. Everyone knows the definition of third base but not all of them match. Being an Indian kid you must have gained most of the knowledge about *** from Hollywood movies and series. That only leaves you more confused about the bases. Let us clear that once and for all. © MensXP/Shulanda Singh This phrase of bases is obviously related to baseball but was used for the first time in WW2 and has been popular ever since. It also gave us other double entendre terms like Strikeout, Pitching, Catching. Let us know if you want an article covering all the sexual phrases which are safe for “Public use”. Is it okay to hang out with your Ex while in a relationship? Did you have a problem with all your girlfriend's Ex? If so, then you are insecure. If she is the only one you ever had this problem with then maybe you are insecure because probably their chemistry makes you jealous. Trust your girl, mahn! So the answer is, yes. It is OKAY! How to know if she is actually into you? Many people wonder why isn't she saying yes to go on a date with you if she clearly flirts with you. Well, first of all, congratulations for standing on the very border of Friendzone. Firstly, are you sure that she is flirting? Signs of flirting: Winking, a lot of touching, avoiding all the distractions when talking to you (including their phone, lucky you!), lets you know very clearly that she is single and available, constantly jokes about going on a date, completely focused on you. Although these are popular signs they aren't definite signs. If your girl is doing most of them then there is a chance that she is into you. If she is, wait for her to realize that, flirt back and ask her out before you enter the fatal “Friendzone”. Are some people not meant to be in a relationship? Depends on what drove you to this question. If it is the fact that you do not have a girlfriend yet then please rest assured. EVERYONE is going to get a girlfriend eventually. As every single man's savior Zakir Khan more than once said, “Sakht Raho”. If it is that you don't stay happy in your relationships then you need to be a little patient and wait for that person who makes you happy. © YouTube Staying single isn't a bad thing. But contradictory to popular notion these days, dating isn't bad either. A relationship by definition is supposed to be the bond between two entities for a purpose. Find the purpose which works for you and be transparent and upfront with your feelings. That should be more than enough for a happy if not long lasting relationship. Are you in love? This question clearly takes the crown for the most commonly asked question. Not only in amongst teens but even adults. Instead of trying to explain what love is, it would be easier to explain what it isn't. It isn't infatuation, lust, desire, jealousy, selfish, conditional. Although, it has all these ingredients in small proportion. Don't let others define love for you. The definition of love for you should be everything that ‘person' does. Make a list of all the things you think love is. Wait for a person who just fits like a puzzle piece in your life. When you check the list for this person, you will realize how wrong you were while making it in the first place. Probably the most unromantic line yet true, love is like coughing and blinking. It is a reaction which you can't control or plan. You attract people if you are a happy person. It is always a good idea to work on making yourself better. And remember, the best is yet to come.
  25. US President Donald Trump in Hamburg, Germany, July 8, 2017. REUTERS/Carlos Barria WASHINGTON: The US Supreme Court has asked the State of Hawaii to respond by Tuesday at noon to President Donald Trump's motion to block a judge's ruling that prevented his travel ban from being applied to grandparents of US citizens and refugees already being processed by resettlement agencies, the court's public information office said on Saturday. In a court filing on Friday, the administration asked the justices to overturn Thursday's decision by a US district judge in Hawaii, which limited the scope of the administration's temporary ban on refugees and travellers from six Muslim-majority countries. The latest round in the fight over Trump's March 6 executive order, which he says is needed to prevent terrorist attacks, began when the Supreme Court intervened last month to partially revive the two bans, which had been blocked by lower courts. The Supreme Court said then that the ban could take effect, but that people with a "bona fide relationship" to a US person or entity could not be barred. The administration had narrowly interpreted that language, saying the ban would apply to grandparents and other family members, prompting the state of Hawaii to ask Hawaii-based US District Judge Derrick Watson to expand the definition of who could be admitted. Trump banned travellers from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen for 90 days, and refugees for 120 days. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear oral arguments in the fall over whether the ban violates the US Constitution.
