  1. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi speaking to Geo News. Photo: Geo News ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Friday that Nawaz Sharif is the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the question about Maryam Nawaz?s leadership has not yet surfaced as she doesn?t hold any party position and is nor an elected member. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Geo News, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan should express his opinion in party meetings rather than expressing them in public. He said that the PML-N will win the next general elections on the basis of its performance and narrative. The prime minister said that the entire Pakistan now accepts that only Punjab government is successful among all the provinces, as the rest three are not able to give desired performance. PM Abbasi said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif is the party?s provincial president but the leader who the masses recognise is Nawaz Sharif. Responding to a question, the prime minister said, ?This is my seventh month as premier, and Nawaz Sharif has never telephoned me up till now [to instruct me] to do this or not do the other." He added that there was only one red-line for his government and that was the Constitution of Pakistan. Reacting on the criticism of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan, he said: ?I don?t have any acquaintance with him, he didn?t even come in assembly to vote. I am not concerned on his opinion.? PM Abbasi said that he is always ready to debate with Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rashid. ?I have asked him several times to come debate with me in person,? he said. ?I have never desired to become prime minister. I was not a candidate for the prime minister office, neither I am right now,? he said. ?I have been with the party in its good and bad time. I have never seen those who change parties to become successful.? He said that not a single party can bring any amendment to the constitution even if its in a majority, adding that 18th amendment was passed with consensus, now it should be implemented in its spirit. ?The provinces now have to show performance, if the parties running the provincial government doesn?t they will fail in the coming times.?
  2. PESHAWAR: The question over Billion Tree Tsunami project raised by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa MPA Sobia Shahid has been added to the assembly agenda for Friday. According to documents, Shahid had sought details from the KP government over trees planted under the project, to which the latter had responded. The answers state that the KP government has ? since 2014 ? planted 8.42 million trees in Kohat Division, 11.6 million in DI Khan Division, 0.46 in Tank district, more than 111.8 million in Malakand division and 82.8 in Hazara Division. The Billion Tree Tsunami has been under the limelight with questions being raised on the veracity of claims made by the KP government. Recently, official documents of the KP government failed to correspond with the claims made by the PTI chief regarding the Rs12.5 billion project. According to the documents, around 65% (759 million) of the 1.18 billion count was actually counted under the head of ?natural growth? of new plants in forests and other areas. A total of 153 million, 13%, of the plants were distributed free of cost to the public, with no precise knowledge of their fate. Resolution submitted in KP Assembly seeking inquiry into ?Billion Tree Tsunami? The resolution challenges claims by PTI chief Imran Khan that 1.12 billion trees have been planted during the forestry drive The documents also called into question financial transparency of the project, validating fears raised by the opposition parties and other quarters in the province regarding alleged misappropriation of funds by local influential and government favourites owing to the massive scale of the project and the inability to directly monitor it other than relying on lower staff of the KP forests department. On Wednesday, KP MPA and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) renegade Ziaullah Afridi submitted in the KP assembly secretariat against the project. It urges an enquiry by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) into alleged financial irregularities in the project, and also calls for punishment for those involved in the alleged scandal. PTI Chairperson Imran Khan claimed that 1.12 billion trees were planted under the mega project, whereas official government documents reveal that only 20%, or about 240 million trees, were actually planted, the resolution states. In August last year, an investigation within the government departments revealed that 145 officers of the KP forest division were found involved in corruption. Legal action was taken against those 145 officers, whereas 44 officials were forcefully retired due to misappropriation of funds and other reasons regarding the project. The Billion Tree Tsunami project aims to turn around deforestation and increase the province?s forested area by at least 2%. About 40% of the country?s remaining forests are in KP province.
  3. Pretty sure the title of this story got you hooked for obvious reasons. What is photography if you don't have the eyes to see what you are capturing? Enter Pranav Lal, who is here to prove it to you that photography is much more than just capturing what you see. Pranav suffered from Retinopathy of Prematurity at birth which resulted in him being completely blind ever since. However, this didn't stop the man from pursuing all that he was about passionate about. © YouTube The child in him was always fascinated with science and technology and so, working in a related field came naturally to him. With his determination and immense knowledge, he went on to become a professional cyber security analyst. However, that wasn't enough to push his creative and visual boundaries and so he decided to take up photography. Obviously, it didn't come easy to him until 2001 when he discovered a technology that changed his life for good. He found 'vOICe'. © YouTube 'vOICe' works as an artificial eye, and helps visually impaired people with navigation. The software converts the sights around you to sound and the image gets broken down to three attributes- panning the sound from left to right tells you the placement of objects in the horizontal plane, the higher the pitch of the sound, the higher is the object and the volume of the sound represents the amount of brightness. The person listens to these sounds through specially designed bone conduction headphones, and then uses a second camera to click photos. © YouTube But it isn't just for photography that Lal uses vOICe. He uses it for everything from navigation to designing web pages. However the software cannot recognise facial features yet, so Pranav focuses on capturing landscapes, nature, buildings, and machinery and we have to say, his photographs are truly beautiful. © Techesoterica © Techesoterica © Techesoterica Apart from photography, he also loves to travel and has journeyed extensively in India, including trekking to the Himalayas. © Techesoterica He also is a regular blogger and can be followed on his blog, www.techesoterica.com (http://techesoterica.com) which focuses on sensory substitution. The world has recognized his talent and he has been invited to speak at different events including a TED talk. You can listen to his story in his own words here: Constant support from his parents and new-age technology were exactly what Pranav needed to pursue his passion, and to prove to the world that if you are bent upon doing something, you will eventually find a way.
  4. 2018 wasn't exactly off to a good start for UIDAI. With 'The Tribune' exposing a major security breach in the protection of our Aadhaar details followed by an FIR by UIDAI against the newspaper, the authority was in the news for all the wrong reasons, attracting major backlash from across the country. While UIDAI dismissed The Tribune story as a case of misreporting, they still had a lot to answer for. Tribune's Story “Rs 500, 10 minutes, and you have access to billion Aadhaar details” is a case of misreporting. No biometric data breach @thetribunechd @rsprasad @ceo_uidai @timesofindia @firstpost @IndiaToday @ZeeNews — Aadhaar (@UIDAI) January 4, 2018 And now, they have started working towards pacifying the citizens with a new feature. In addition to the fingerprint and the iris scan, UIDAI has now introduced face recognition as a new method of Aadhaar authentication. Dr Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO-UIDAI took to Twitter to make the announcement. @UIDAI introduces yet another landmark technology for authentication - Face Authentication. #AadhaarFaceAuth will help all elderly or others facing issues with fingerprint authentication. Service to be launched by 1 July 2018. — CEO UIDAI (@ceo_uidai) January 15, 2018 This new feature which will be launched by July 1, 2018, has been developed mainly to help the elderly and others who are facing issues with fingerprint and iris scan. While the motive behind this step sounds excellent, everyone is now concerned about its successful implementation. And Twitter has a lot to ask and say on this (as always). 1. Have a look at the hilarious tweets: Dhiraj, If face authentication fails, we will collect DNA, we will deactivate your aadhaar till you voluntarily give DNA and pay us a meager 5000 rupees DNA extraction fees. Jai Hind.@narendramodi @arunjaitley @rsprasad — Aadhaar Chand (@uvidai) January 15, 2018 Sushovan, do not get too excited, we already know face authentication will not work, which will pave the way to DNA authentication, which will always work. Jai Hind. — Aadhaar Chand (@uvidai) January 15, 2018 While all these reactions are hilarious, we really do hope this new step is indeed implemented successfully.
  5. US President Donald Trump/File photo US President Donald Trump will undergo a formal health check on Friday amid speculation about his mental and physical suitability for the presidency. The White House has stated that the physician, Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson will issue a public report on the exam, scheduled for January 12 at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. However, like all Americans, Trump has the right under federal law to keep health information from public disclosure. The physical test will last around two hours and include blood and urine tests, heart checks and even questions about his sleeping habits and other idiosyncrasies. A psychiatric exam would not be a part of Trump?s physical, White House spokesperson Hogan Gidley told reporters earlier this week. The White House announced last month Trump?s plan to have a physical after he slurred words during a speech declaring US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at the time that Trump was simply thirsty and dismissed questions about his health as ?ridiculous.? Trump is open about his unhealthy eating habits, posting a photo of himself aboard his campaign plane with a bucket of fried chicken, bragging about the chocolate cake at his Mar-a-Lago resort, and drinking Diet Coke around the West Wing. Earlier this month, the president praised himself as "not smart, but genius... and a very stable genius at that," following the release of a bombshell new book that called into doubt his mental health. Trump: I am a 'very stable genius' and 'like, very smart' The book 'Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House' quickly sold out in shops in Washington The White House has been pushing back forcefully against a new supposed tell-all book - Michael Wolff´s "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" - which was rushed into bookstores after the Trump administration failed to suppress it. The book quickly sold out in shops in Washington. Trump has decried the instant best-seller as "phony" and "full of lies."
  6. I once had a friend who practiced professional classical dancing for almost 12 years but then due to some unavoidable reason, she could not carry forward. At that young age, she had travelled all across India and the US for her performances but then she dropped it abruptly. With time, she slowly started feeling like she has lost her gift and now the chance to be extraordinary is gone and buried under the weight of familial responsibilities. I had another friend who wanted to be a scriptwriter and a filmmaker but could never find the courage to change his field because of his well-paying job. Today, he regrets it and the pain of not taking that step when the iron was hot still haunts him immeasurably. © fb/sungazing What you read above are some of the lifelong regrets that normal people might have to live with. There could be other things as well that are stopping you from taking that first step towards your dreams. It could be moving to a new place, starting a new business, moving out from an unhealthy relationship etc. Although, being uncomfortable comes with hope for improvement. Here is what Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon did when he first thought of selling books online in 1994 and pitched the idea to his then boss. © AZ quotes His boss said, "I think this is a good idea, but I think this would be an even better idea for somebody that didn't already have a good job." Jeff asked himself what his heart said. And, for him, the best way to think about it was to project himself forward to the age of 80 and say, "Look, when I'm 80 years old, I want to have minimized the number of regrets that I have." I don't want to be 80 years old and in a quiet moment of reflection, thinking back over my life, and cataloguing a bunch of major regrets." He says, in most cases, “our biggest regrets turn out to be acts of omission and that's a useful metric for any important life decision. This is what you got to do. If you are afraid to move away from your family, then for the sake of your dream you need to move. You will get people like you to hang out with and it will be a better tomorrow for you and your family. Move into the uncomfortable and then do not regret. It will all start making sense and you will start enjoying life in a much richer sense.” So, will you be regretting your choices when you're in your 80's?
  7. Everybody loves a good yarn! Here we talk about the deepest, unsolved and the most twisted conspiracy theories revolving around the lives of some of the most popular world leaders of all time. These theories have given birth to dialogues, analysis, and controversies which have not only shook the faith people kept in their harbingers, in fact, paved way to rational questioning for journalists and investigators. Leaders of the modern era, despite being at the pinnacle of their prevalence, have gone through the cult of critique. Right from the former US President Barack Obama to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, conspiracies spared none! It is also been deemed that many such conspiracies changed the way people viewed the truth. But, the truth, only exists like an unsolved puzzle before us. Here are some of the most discussed conspiracy theories about the greatest world leaders. 1. Barack Obama © usweeklu The 'birther' theory about former U.S. President Barack Obama keeps circulating on the web every now and then, thanks to President Donald Trump, who has clung to the issue so far. The theory revolves around the fact that former American President Barack Obama was born somewhere in Kenya and not in the United States. Long ago, Obama released short-form and long-form birth certificates proving he was born in Hawaii. As per a report published in Newsweek sometime back, a survey concluded that almost more than 50 percent Republicans voted in favor of Obama being born in Kenya. However, there have been no proofs of it yet. 2. Justin Trudeau © imgur Justin Trudeau has always been known for his humble, sympathetic and cordial nature. The Canadian Prime Minister is a hero to the residents of Canada. But not even his biggest of fans know that he had been associated with the fallen (now dead) dictator of Cuba, Fidel Castro. Many times he has been accused of having family ties with the former Cuban leader. This first came to light when Justin shared some warm words about strongman Castro and praised him as a 'remarkable leader', at the time of Castro's death. During his speech, Trudeau exclaimed that his death has caused him 'deep sorrow'. Trudeau's statement received backlash and his praise was termed as 'repugnant'. Though both had an uncanny resemblance, the theory was clarified by the fact that Justin was born December 25, 1971, nine months after Pierre and Margaret's (Justin's parents) honeymoon in British Columbia and long before the couple traveled to Cuba, and met Fidel Castro. Dang! 3. Princess Diana © popsugar The world almost came to a standstill when the news broke out about the tragic death of the Princess of Wales. On the night of 31 August 1997, Princess Diana lost her life in a fatal car accident in Paris. Her death sent shockwaves particularly in Great Britain and the entire incident was not being considered as something normal. Instead, people had a strong belief that Diana was killed. The British Royal family received strong criticism and it was in the air that Diana's death was the result of some kind of conspiracy, conducted secretly by agents of the British state. Diana had been in a car whose driver was drunk and it was seen as no less than a plot to murder. People believed that someone wanted to kill Diana and the series of events were arranged. Operation Paget was launched in order to investigate the details surrounding the case. After an expenditure of millions of pounds and years of research, it was found that the death was a doomed incident. 4. Melania Trump © hercampus There is an outlandish conspiracy theory revolving around the first lady of the US, Melania Trump. Last year, a comedienne and actress named Andrea Warton shared a Facebook post where she explained how a 'body double' replaced Melania Trump, who was being referred to as “my wife” by President Donald Trump. Andrea also shared pictures of the incident which later got widely circulated on the net. However, the genesis of this conspiracy isn't exactly clear yet. 5. Vladimir Putin © washington examiner Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is a man of many mysteries. Once referred to as the killer, kleptocrat, genius, spy by The Guardian, it is believed that the world still needs to know much about this ubiquitous leader. As per theorists, Putin is immortal. This theory emerged from the fact after a picture of a Russian soldier which was taken in the 1920s, had a spooky resemblance to Putin's present-day pictures. Till date there has been no evidence about Putin being a killer, theorists believe that he has recurrently ordered the assassination of journalists and leading political opponents. During the uprise of Trump, when the current President of the United States was accosted by Fox's Bill O'Reilly, where Bill exclaimed, “Putin's a killer”, Trump notoriously replied, “There are a lot of killers. We've got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country's so innocent?” Thinkers have also believed that Putin is the butcher of Chechnya, the killer of Litvinenko, and the invader of Georgia. 6. Pope Francis © cruxnow The theories about Pope Francis can make you laugh and wonder at the same time. Philosophers have time and again written about the 266th and current Pope of the Catholic Church. According to Irish Saint Malachy, the 12th-century bishop of Armagh, Pope Francis could be the last one and in his existence, Rome will fall like a house of cards! Other theories claim that Pope's eyes glow red in dark, which means he carries the power to demolish the Church. Certainly, no one would ever believe that. 7. Kim Jong Un © wired Not much is known about the exact circumstances of the birth of this supreme North Korean leader who claims to have a nuclear bomb's button at his table. Theorists believe that Kim Jong was the one involved in the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, while the flight was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Explaining another theory the New Yorker once wrote that Kim executed his uncle and also ordered the murder of his half-brother. The theory is often termed as the 'madman theory' by journalists and others. 8. Indira Gandhi © india There have been theories about Indira Gandhi's love life, which later became a matter of political scrutiny. It is believed that Gandhi got close to many renowned men in her life. Her first affair was alleged with her German teacher, at Shantiniketan. Reportedly, she also got involved with her father's close secretary. The patrician lady also allegedly found her love interest in Dr, Dinesh Singh who was then a minister in her cabinet. 9. Mother Teresa © famousbiographies Years back a paper (in French) for the journal Studies in Religion carried out some controversial information on Mother Teresa who is otherwise known to be a saint. The paper claimed that Mother Teresa was politically credulous and at times maintained friendly relations with tyrants like Jean-Claude Duvalier and Enver Hoxha. Theorists also assert that the medical care provided by her missionaries of charity was based on the cult of suffering. 10. Queen Elizabeth © mirroruk British Humdinger has a very different view of Queen Elizabeth's long existence. Now you can think what you want, but as per a report, human remains have been discovered inside Queen Elizabeth's private freezer, which brings us to a conclusion that she may be a 'cannibal'.
  8. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sincan district, Ankara, Turkey. August 14, 2017. AFP/Adem Altan/Files PARIS: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday lashed out at a French reporter who asked him about claims that Ankara sent arms to Syria. Erdogan told the journalist he was talking like a member of an outlawed group blamed for last year´s failed coup in Turkey. At a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron after their talks in Paris, the reporter asked the Turkish leader about a story from 2015 in the Cumhuriyet newspaper which allegedly proved Turkey had sent weapons to Syria. Erdogan has always pinned the scandal on the exiled US-based preacher Fethullah Gulen. Turkey blames Gulen for the 2016 failed coup and accuses him of running a group called the Fethullah Terror Organisation (FETO). Gulen denies the charges. "Those are the words of FETO. You should learn not to speak with the words of FETO," Erdogan told the journalist after asking him to repeat the question. The journalist could be heard insisting in French: "I am speaking as a journalist!" "When you ask your questions, be careful on this point. And do not speak with the words of another," warned the Turkish leader. "And I want you to know, you do not have someone before you who will easily swallow this," Erdogan added. The issue had first erupted in January 2014 when prosecutors in southern Turkey uncovered trucks heading to Syria that they said were National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) vehicles stuffed with arms. Ankara later charged those involved in the probe with the membership of the Gulen movement. "Those who carried out those operations were Gulenist prosecutors. Now they are in prison," said Erdogan icily. In an apparent reference to American arms supplies to Syrian Kurdish militia that have angered Turkey, he added, "You ask me that question but why don´t you ask me why the United States sent 4,000 trucks with arms to Syria?" "You are a journalist, right? You should have looked into that as well." Without confirming the incident, Erdogan said that the MIT had "every right" to carry out its operations. ´Terror has gardeners´ Earlier the Turkish president had said terror was not formed by itself. "Terror and terrorists have gardeners. These gardeners are those seen as ´thinkers´. He said "these people" nurture terror with newspaper columns "and one day, you will find, these people will be revealed as terrorists." Erdogan´s trip to Paris to meet Macron was his most important bilateral visit to an EU state since the failed putsch. It was overshadowed by questions about press freedom. The P24 press freedom group says there are 151 journalists behind bars in Turkey, most of whom were arrested under the state of emergency in place since July 2016. The issue was raised at the talks, with Macron telling Erdogan to "respect the rule of law". The Cumhuriyet story resulted in its then editor-in-chief Can Dundar being handed a five-year and 10-month jail term for divulging state secrets. He later fled Turkey.
  9. US President Donald Trump (L) and North Korea leader Kim Jong Un. Image: Reuters/Files WASHINGTON: Two senior Democratic senators asked the country's intelligence chief Thursday to assess the national security risks of President Donald Trump's tweets on North Korea. Senators Martin Heinrich and Ron Wyden asked the Director of National Intelligence, Daniel Coats, to "assess the risk to the United States and to US interests and personnel" arising from a tweet Trump posted on January 2. In that tweet, Trump made a veiled threat to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, who, a day earlier, opened the New Year with his own defiant statement calling to speed up the deployment of nuclear weapons. "North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.' Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!" Trump wrote. Heinrich and Wyden, both members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said they would like the intelligence community to assess the impact of Trump's tweets on Washington's credibility. US nuclear button 'much bigger' than N Korea's: Trump Trump's message came after Kim used his annual New Year address to warn he has a 'nuclear button' on his table "We request that the assessment address the likely North Korean response to the President's January 2 tweet and the President's other threatening tweets and statements and whether this rhetoric serves as a deterrent or a provocation." Kim's New Year statement extended an olive branch to Seoul, which in the subsequent days led to a renewal of direct contacts, reopening a cross-border hotline and a proposal to hold bilateral talks on January 9. On Thursday Trump turned to Twitter again to claim credit. "With all of the failed 'experts' weighing in, does anybody really believe that talks and dialogue would be going on between North and South Korea right now if I wasn't firm, strong and willing to commit our total 'might' against the North. Fools, but talks are a good thing!"
  10. When two people who are representing the country internationally meet, everyone will obviously talk about it. On one hand, we have Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper who made his international debut almost a decade ago, and has been nothing but consistent with his ability to score. The Indian team captain has been breaking records all throughout his career, and when it comes to having the most centuries in ODIs, he is only behind the living legend Sachin Tendulkar. And then we have Manushi Chhillar, who made the whole country proud by bringing home the Miss World crown after 17 long years. When both of these icons met at an event recently, Manushi had a very important question for the Indian captain. © Twitter While attending the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2017 Awards, the recently crowned Miss World took the opportunity to ask Kohli how he continues to inspire everyone. He said, “Well, what's very important to understand is when you do what you do and you express yourself on the field, it has to be genuine and it has to be from the heart. Otherwise if people find out that you're trying to pretend, then they can never connect to you. I've never tried to be anyone else. I've always been myself; I always mention that people had a lot of issues with how I was, how I conducted myself, but I had never had any problems with that.” © Twitter He continued, “The moment I started to think that I need to change, is the only time I changed. Everyone has to go through a mutual process to be where they get to in life to become more mature. What's very important to understand is one should never lose their own identity, character and personality because if you try to be someone else you can never succeed, and you can never inspire others.” “The one thing that I believe in is that there's something much stronger that's making us do what we do. We ourselves don't have the ability to go out there, score runs and take wickets all the time. We must believe that everyone has a plan and that plan has been executed for them at the time they are in, and all they can do is work hard, no one can change the plan, what we can do is work hard and be honest with ourselves.” © Twitter Whether it is on or off the field, he always knows what to do and say, and it's no wonder he is a huge inspiration for the youth of the country. Virat Kohli also went on to present the 'Indian of the Year- Individual Special Achievement' to Manushi Chhillar, and it seems like the pictures of them together are the only thing people can talk about right now.
  11. Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal speaks to the media in Karachi. KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal has said that the provincial police are like a child that they have fostered and pampered, but cannot question. While addressing the media in the city on Tuesday, Siyal spoke about the issue of removal of the provincial inspector general, saying they have written to the federal government regarding the matter. However, he added, their letter has not been responded to yet. Moreover, Siyal said IG Sindh has not been deprived of any power and that the Sindh High Court did not show the complete picture of the matter. The minister further said he did not have the authority for transfers of police official and the Sindh government was implementing all orders sent by the court. When asked about the knife attacks in Karachi, Siyal said the police did not book any innocent person in the cases. A few days back, the anti-terrorism court granted bail to Shahzad, who was arrested on suspicion of carrying out the knife attacks in the city. However, police told the court no evidence was found against the arrested suspect. About street crime in Karachi, Siyal said effective measures were being planned to rid the city of the menace.
  12. The first teaser of 'Deadpool 2' just dropped and honestly, we have just one question, “did we just get punk'd?!” Ryan Reynolds comes up on the screen and sure, we do recognise it's him but it's more like a personal tribute to Bob Ross. © 20th Century Fox So, we patiently wait for something remotely 'Deadpool' to come up on the screen but no, he continues with this painting. And bang in the middle of the teaser, when you have kinda given up hope and you are thinking of switching tabs, BOOM! There is actual footage from the upcoming movie. Not much is known about the plot of the sequel but nonetheless, you want to shift to a mental preparatory mode of excitement. The official synopsis of 'Wet On Wet' is this : After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover. Okay, it still makes no sense! During the 'blink –and-you-miss-it' moments of the actual footage from the movie, one can spot Morena Baccarin, T. J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, and Brianna Hildebrand back as Vanessa, Weasel, Blind Al, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Also, Wade reunites with Vanessa . © 20th Century Fox Not much can be figured out besides tiny hints thrown all over like confetti. Jack Kesy of 'The Strain' is reported to play the new villain. After watching this entire teaser /trailer or whatever one might call it, we have a lot of question on our minds, the main one being about what is Deadpool smoking? And where can we get our hands on it?! The sequel is still untitled and will unveil itself on June 1, 2018. Until then folks, in the words of Deadpool as Bob Ross, “Keep your pants dry, your dreams wet, and remember, hugs not drugs.”
  13. When the students of Draper University visited the Tesla factory, Elon Musk was asked, "As an established entrepreneur, what is the number one tip you have for all the young entrepreneurs waiting to startup? To which he replied, "I think it's very difficult to start companies, it's quite painful. A friend of mine has a good phrase for doing a startup: it's like eating glass and staring into the abyss. If you are wired to do it, then only do it, not otherwise. So think of it this way - if you need inspiring words, DON'T DO IT!" Now, noone is asking you to take those kinds of risks, but entrepreneurship is a kind of risk and it needs to be calculated as such. 14. The masthead of US President Donald Trump's @realDonaldTrump Twitter account in a screenshot taken on October 22, 2017. @realDonaldTrump/Handout via Geo.tv Twitter Inc faced questions on Friday about its approach to internal security after a company employee briefly deactivated US President Donald Trump?s account. The 11-minute blackout of the @realDonaldTrump account late on Thursday drew widespread attention to the microblogging site. Trump frequently uses Twitter to announce policy, assail his adversaries and to tangle with countries, including North Korea, over world affairs. Some users voiced fears that future employee interference or technology glitches involving Trump?s account could threaten national security. The incident also came as Twitter grapples with overall criticism of its handling of account suspensions, user abuse and ever-changing terms of service. Twitter said in a tweet on Friday: ?We have implemented safeguards to prevent this from happening again. We won?t be able to share all details about our internal investigation or updates to our security measures, but we take this seriously and our teams are on it.? A company representative declined to answer questions including how many employees can suspend an account or what special protections there are for high-profile users like Trump. Trump was back on Twitter soon after the account was restored, and the employee did not send or alter any tweets. Cybersecurity experts had previously speculated Twitter could have installed special protections on Trump?s account, such as the ability to only access it from certain devices. ?We have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer-support employee who did this on the employee?s last day. We are conducting a full internal review,? Twitter said in a tweet late on Thursday. ?We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again,? the company said in an earlier tweet. Reuters could not determine how many Twitter employees had the authority to delete accounts or if any had the ability to tamper with them in other ways, such as by sending bogus tweets. ?In all seriousness: We need accountability for social media sites,? Ken Meyer, who served as digital director for former Vice President Joe Biden, tweeted. ?Lone employees shouldn?t be able to change statements from the President.? Speaking on condition of anonymity, a former Twitter employee said it was unlikely a worker with suspension privileges would also be able to hijack an account to send out messages. ?Different types of access,? the former employee said. ?I?m not sure anyone at Twitter can tweet from someone else?s account.? Another person familiar with Twitter operations, speaking on condition of anonymity, said employees currently cannot post from a user?s account, change or even view a user?s password, which is encrypted. Joseph Lorenzo Hall, chief technologist at the nonprofit Center for Democracy and Technology, said the suspension reflected a need for Twitter to be more transparent about its ability to control accounts but also demonstrated the perils of a head of state relying on digital technology as a primary mode of communication. ?It would be nice to rely on older forms of policy communication with solid foundations,? he said, adding that Twitter should require two-person controls for certain high-profile accounts. The New York Times on Friday reported the rogue employee was, in fact, a contractor, citing two anonymous sources familiar with the incident. Twitter and other tech companies have ramped up their reliance on contractors due to pressure to respond more quickly and thoroughly to content violations. While the companies ?are desperately reliant upon human nuance and sophistication for decision making, human will is quite a risk,? Sarah Roberts, a UCLA professor who studies such contractors, said in a tweet. ?Ain?t that a bind?? The company on Friday separately announced minor updates to its rules, including more clarity on what actions could result in an account suspension. It was the latest in a string of iterative changes amid criticism the platform too slowly and inconsistently responds to abuse. Twitter shares were up 1.9 percent in afternoon trading. ?Rogue account? Trump, who has nearly 42 million Twitter followers, responded to the temporary loss of his account by boasting about his wide reach on the service. ?My Twitter account was taken down for 11 minutes by a rogue employee,? Trump said on Twitter early on Friday. ?I guess the word must finally be getting out-and having an impact.? He has used Twitter to attack opponents and promote his policies, both during the 2016 presidential campaign and since taking office in January. Thursday?s incident also raised questions about how Twitter secures the official @potus presidential account and other accounts that could potentially influence world events. Technology companies including Twitter are, meanwhile, under attack from US lawmakers for failing to stem the spread of Russian propaganda and misinformation on their platforms. Twitter, in particular, has long been criticized for not doing enough to police its platform and respond to complaints of harassment. Though the temporary deletion of the Trump account sparked a flood of criticism from Twitter users, many of the president?s critics also said they were happy to see the account disabled. In 2013, hackers took control of the main account for the Associated Press and tweeted that explosions at the White House had injured then-President Barack Obama, causing stocks to briefly plunge.

  18. Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has questioned Kylain Mbappe's loan to Paris Saint-Germain in a move he calls "the most successful in world football". The 18-year-old striker moved to PSG last Thursday in a season-long loan deal with a 180 million euro buy-out clause attached, making him the second most expensive player of all time behind new teammate Neymar.in a season-long loan deal with a 180 million euro buy-out clause attached, making him the second most expensive player of all time behind new teammate Neymar. "We (Monaco) could not understand to the very end whether this deal was really possible as UEFA had questions to PSG about their compliance with financial fair-play," Vasilyev told Russian news agency TASS. "It was a very tough deal," he added. "Initially, we did not want the footballer to strengthen our opponents. "But I think this deal appears to be the most successful one in the world of football." PSG secured Mbappe less than a month after signing Brazilian superstar Neymar from Barcelona in a world record 222 million euro ($264 million) deal. Last week Europe's football ruling body UEFA opened a "formal investigation" into PSG's dealings over the transfer window. UEFA said it would look at whether PSG had violated the financial fair play regulations "in light of its recent transfer activity". UEFA president Alexsander Ceferin insisted on Monday that "Nobody is above the law". The Slovenian, speaking to the European Clubs Association in Geneva, added: "UEFA is at your side to ensure that the participants in our competitions are all treated equally. 19. Fish oil is the most widely researched supplement after creatine and protein powders. Fish oil offers a variety of benefits to not just athletes but to everyone. We at MensXP Health have already covered the benefits of fish oil in various other articles. So in this one, I'll answer the most readily asked question about fish oil supplementation. 1. Can I Meet My Omega 3 Requirements From Diet Alone? There are three types of omega 3s - Alpha Lipoic Acid(ALA), Eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid(DHA). While you can easily get ALA from various cooking oils, seeds and nuts EPA and DHA are found in marine sources like fish, squid and krill. You will have hard time meeting your EPA and DHA requirements if you are vegetarian or unless you eat fish on a regularly. 2. There Are Plant Sources Of Omega 3 As Well Like Flax Seeds. Can I Replace Fish Oil With Flax Seed Oil? While it`s true that Flax seeds contain omega 3 but most people miss the important thing here. The Omega 3s found in fish oil is of better quality than of what is found in flax seeds. Also note that main Omega3s found in fish oil are EPA and DHA. While the main Omega 3 found in flax seed is ALA. The main reason people consume Omega 3 in the first place is to get EPA and DHA. Although body can convert ALA found in flax seed to EPA and DHA but it is barely efficient in doing so. Rate of conversion of ALA to EPA and DHA is about 5-20%.That means you will need large quantities of flax seed oil/pills in order to match EPA and DHA requirements. © Thinkstock 3. How Much EPA/DHA Do We Require? Since Fish oil is used for variety of health and medical purposes. The quantity will depend on the purpose for which you are taking it. For Healthy individuals total intake of EPA and DHA should be between 250mg (minimum effective dose) to 1gm. A typical 1gm capsule of fish oil offers around 300mg of EPA and DHA combined (180mg and 120 mg of EPA and DHA respectively). Other high quality fish oil supplements are also available in the market which can offer up to 600mg of EPA just in one capsule. For people wanting to take it to treat Depression, Muscle soreness etc a different dosage is required to be advised by Medical Practitioner. 4. Do Eggs Also Contain EPA And DHA? Answer to this is no and yes. Unless the hens are fed EPA and DHA from supplements or are free range (which eat Insects and greens), you have no chance to get EPA and DHA from eggs. The typical eggs we consume coming from Poultry farm especially in India offer no such special diet to the hens. So thinking you will get you EPA and DHA from Eggs is a delusion. © Thinkstock 5. I`M On A Tight Budget. Do I Still Have To Take Fish Oil From Supplements? No. You can certainly get away without using it in case you are on a tight budget. Someone on a tight budget should worry more about getting the required calories from healthy sources and meeting protein requirements instead. However if you do have extra cash, invest it in a fish oil supplement.
  20. Note: This article neither supports nor promotes the use of anabolic androgenic steroids. Anabolic Androgenic Steroids have been used since the 1950s and contrary to popular belief, not just bodybuilders or powerlifters, but a host of other athletes administer steroids. But as our audience is primarily interested in muscle building, in this piece, I will answer some of the most logical and frequently asked questions about using steroids. Q1- What exactly are Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS)? © Thinkstock/Getty Images Anabolic androgenic steroids are a class of drugs that contain a synthetically manufactured form of the male hormone testosterone or a related compound. No matter what form of AAS it is Dianabol, Tren, Deca etc. they all are some form of testosterone. Anabolic refers to the muscle building ability of these compounds and androgenic refers to the enhancement in male characteristics i.e. body hair, deepened voice and strength. Q2- How does AAS help in muscle building? © Thinkstock/Getty Images Answering this question in detail will require course content of hundred of medical books but in layman's terms, steroids work by triggering some/all of the following mechanisms: 1) Activating cellular androgen receptors and increasing protein synthesis. 2) Increasing anabolism and blunting catabolism in the body. 3) Enhancing nutrition partitioning: calories are utilized more in building muscles than being stored as fat. 4) Increasing creatine synthesis in skeletal muscle tissues. 5) Stimulating the central nervous system, providing extra strength in the gym. More strength = Lifting heavier loads = More mechanical damage to muscles = Bigger muscles Q3- Do Steroids Work Like Magic For Muscle Building? © YouTube No amount of anabolic drugs can make you win Mr. Olympia or even Mr. India without hard-hard work and consistency. But for an average-plus physique, like that of an underwear model, ASS can indeed work like magic. Below is the abstract of a research to support my statement. In 1996, an interesting experiment was conducted by Bhasin and colleagues. Participants were divided into four groups: Group 1 – Placebo (no steroids) with no exercise Group 2 – Steroids ( X mg of testosterone enanthate) with no exercise Group 3 – Placebo (no steroids) + exercise Group 4 – Steroids (X mg of testosterone enanthate) + exercise All the participants consumed a standardized diet containing 36 cals per kilogram of body weight, 1.5 g of protein per kilogram, and vitamins and minerals fulfilling 100% of RDA. Diet was adjusted every two weeks based on the amount of weight gained. The study continued for 10 weeks and at the end results were astounding. As expected, participants in Group 1 did not develop any strength or muscle, whereas participants in Group 4 gained the most amounts of strength and muscle. No surprises here. But here comes the shocking part. Group 2 which took steroids and did no exercise actually gained more muscle (+ 6.6 lbs) than the Group 3 which did not take steroids but exercised (+ 4.4 lbs). Not only Group 2 participants gained more muscle mass than Group 3 participants, they also made equivalent strength gains! Moral of the story: Steroid do work like magic! “Ditch this creatine and chicken breast. I'm gonna jump on one cycle” “Wait a minute brother and read on.” Q4- Can I Do One Cycle And Maintain All My Gains? Perhaps the question most people want answered- ‘are steroid gains sustainable?' The answer to this question is a No: for most part and a Yes: for some part. Normal testosterone levels in healthy males is somewhere between 200-850 ng/dl. Let's assume you're an Indian beast with high T-levels of about 750 ng/dl. Even on a mild steroid cycle your testosterone levels are going to reach 1500-2000 ng/dl. When you come off the cycle, your internal testosterone levels will fall back to starting levels. In some cases, they can fall even below normal. Your physiology will simply give up on the excess muscle mass. Even with a perfect PCT protocol if you bring your natural T-levels back to 750 ng/dl within days, it is still not comparable to 1500-2000 ng/dl and some loss in muscle mass in inevitable. Q5- Will My Motivation Fade Once I am Off Cycle? © YouTube Most people report that they do not feel the same rush and motivation for going to the gym once they're off cycle. Thus, it is not just low T-levels causing loss in muscle mass but also the lack of following a rigid nutrition and training program post steroid cycle. This is the reason why there is never just one cycle. Once you're on it, you can never afford to get off it. Q6- What Are The Health Risks If I Take Steroids? Steroids usage does come with potential health risks and these risks increase exponentially if you abuse them for prolonged periods. Side effects of AAS are- 1) Plaque deposition in heart, potential for heart attacks. 2) Causing hypertrophy and rigidness in cardiac muscles. 3) Liver toxicity 4) Gynecomastia / Man boobs 5) Shutting natural T-production permanently 6) Depression 7) Aggression and maniac symptoms 8) Body image disorders 9) Acne and water retention 10) Hair fall “Note: If you're under the age of 25, remember your endocrine system and brain are still developing and adding exogenous testosterone in your body can cause permanent damage to your physiology and psyche.” Should I Use Anabolic Steroids? As a coach, I believe if you chose to get on a steroid cycle it should serve a purpose. You should weigh the risks you're going to bear vs what you're going to achieve with the usage. For example Arnold took steroids but he knew he was going to be Mr. Universe and get a ticket to U.S.A. Do you plan on competing in Mr. India? Have you done well in a district and state championship naturally? Majority of people who jump on a cycle these days are going to achieve nothing more than some followers and likes on social media and to me, that is not worth it for the risks involved. Tag your friends who're planning to get on a cycle and do leave your valuable opinion on steroid use in the comment box below. 21. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson speaks during a briefing at the Department of State on August 22, 2017, in Washington, DC. AFP/Brendan Smialowski WASHINGTON: Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned Tuesday that Pakistan's privileged status as a major non-NATO US ally could be in question if it continues to give safe haven to extremists. "We have some leverage," Tillerson told reporters, "in terms of aid, their status as a non-NATO alliance partner ? all of that can be put on the table." Pakistan is one of 16 countries to currently enjoy "major non-NATO ally" status, which is not a mutual defence pact like the Atlantic alliance but allows close military cooperation. On Monday, President Donald Trump sternly rebuked Pakistan for supporting groups like the Taliban and the Haqqani network, which launch cross-border raids on US and Afghan troops. And he suggested Pakistan will suffer consequences if it does not get behind a renewed US effort to help Kabul repel the Taliban and force them to negotiate a political settlement. On Tuesday, Tillerson met journalists to brief them on the details of the strategy, and to lay out what Islamabad might expect if it does not fall into line. "The president has been clear that we are going to attack terrorists wherever they live," Tillerson said. "We have put people on notice that if you're providing safe haven to terrorists, be warned ? we are going to engage those providing safe haven and ask them to change what they are doing." And Tillerson added that, aside from the Afghan people, Pakistan has more to gain "than any other nation" from an end to the fighting.
  22. Do you have a personal toilet or are your part of a ‘lota party'? For people who are alien to the concept of ‘lota party,' it means a group of women going to relieve themselves in the farms or behind the bushes before the sun rises. In short, ‘jaha jagah mile, waha hug lo'. Well, I bet for many of us, even the thought of that sounds like a nightmare. But what if you had no other option? Have you ever thought that having a toilet in your house is a privilege? If not, then maybe it's time you do. For most of us, the issue of 58% of India defecating in open is not our concern but director Shree Narayan Singh shows us the real picture of what our society has to deal with. ‘Toilet' clearly shows how our religious beliefs, corruption, and government are responsible for converting India into a literal shit-hole. © Twitter Inspired by a true story, ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha' is about Keshav (Akshay Kumar) And Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar). The story begins when Keshav falls head over heels in love with Jaya, who lives in a neighbouring village in Uttar Pradesh. They get married but Keshav forgets to mention it to her that he doesn't have a toilet in his house and that causes a ton of issues and is the driving force of the plot. Keshav tries his level best to do what his wife wants, but his father and other village members are against the idea of anyone having a toilet in the house. The issue of basic needs becomes the root cause for Jaya to file for a divorce. The film is a satirical take on how in the name of religious beliefs and traditions we justify the act of defecating in the open. And it just isn't a stubborn persistence of ideology, these beliefs and traditions haven't even caught up to modern sanitation yet. © Twitter Looking at the concept, it sounds more like a satirical take on a serious issue but director Narayan Singh has made it a very engaging and an entertaining film as well. The makers have done both the work of creating awareness but keeping the humorous element alive in the film. It's fascinating to see how the issue of a toilet that might not even sound like a problem to us, forms the gist of the story. The film clearly states how it is essential for us to build toilets for our women; after all, it's a necessity. © Twitter You will undoubtedly love Bhumi and Akshay's chemistry. Akshay is the backbone of the film and like always, he brings out the best of acting skills, making us love him even more. Bhumi on other hand is extremely efficient, honest and so natural. You are bound to love them toegther. From Anupam Kher, Sudhir Pandey to Divyendu, all the other actors are great additions to the film. The first half is crisp and entertaining but it is the second half of the film that feels a bit too stretched. However, despite some glitches, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's film, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' feels like a ray of sunshine after all the dull releases that have taken place this year. © Twitter This film makes you laugh, think and contemplate. For many of us, this film might look and sound unbelievable because we haven't faced such sanitation issues hence it is necessary to get a ‘whiff' of what the other 58% of the population does in the open.
  23. Bollywood's youngest actor, Anil Kapoor beats drums of a style aesthetic that's alien to his contemporaries. His rule-book consists of only one big rule and that's to break them, all at once. He's been doing that since like, forever and honestly, very well. But we're not tired of it...yet. Just recently, the anti-ageing actor gave us yet another moment of style-induced insanity. Or a sartorial victory, a few may say (like me). Reason being, he unnervingly made the wrong look right. ©Viral Bhayani We're not even going to justify ourselves here. And no, we're not trolling you by calling this a sartorial victory. Contrary to a major fraction of you men out there, he looks absolutely rad to us. Anyway, our cockiness aside—here's why we're seeing a terrific style move here. Anil Kapoor is a father. And if you live with eyes wide open, you'd know of Indian dads and their affection towards sports shoes. Maybe not in the living room, but they're a wealth they absolutely love to flaunt in public. Not our business—they brought us to the world, they can do what they want. So, blame pah-pah behaviour or just his choice to wear them today, the Kapoor clan's real slim shady is totally rocking this shoe. Deal with it. ©Viral Bhayani But that's not all. You might say, the trousers are the biggest havoc here. Now call this a nightmare or our personal opinion, we're kinda digging them too. Even with the brisk-walking shoes thrown in! And you...you better not raise a question here. If you're okay with Jaden Smith mismatching his way into the Best Dressed List, you'd rather maintain your cool here. And now for the simplest (and most sane) piece on this outfit—the Henley shirt. AKA a man's best friend in most situations. Or actually, a man's way around any day dressing issues. Reason being, Henleys are safe, easy but most primarily, your ticket to handsome. "But what about his socks? Aren't they just awful"? Little lads, first off, calm yourself. This isn't a blaring national issue. Sure, his socks are a big point to ponder upon, but in reality—he's just following his habit of wearing pop/quirky socks. He wears them with formal wear and sometimes, even with sweatshirts. This time around, while mismatching his dad-style outfit like a pro, he couldn't have forgotten his roots now, is it? ©Viral Bhayani Final words: Anil Kapoor is downright cool. This could all be looking like a gag to you, but believe us, our love for this man's badass (read: daring) style isn't dying anytime soon.
  24. QUETTA: Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Tuesday said the people of Balochistan question Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's claims of development. "There is only unemployment and hunger in Balochistan," said Bilawal while addressing his party workers and added that the incumbent government does not care about the people. Referring to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the Sharif family for alleged corruption, the PPP chairman said Nawaz could be seen panicking after being interviewed by the investigation team.
  25. In what was touted to be the mother of all battles, the high-octane final between India and Pakistan in the coveted ICC Champions Trophy failed to live up to its billing following a complete domination of Sarfraz Ahmed's men who clinched a massive 180-run win. The clash that was expected to entertain a global cricket audience eventually turned out to be a nightmare for Team India and its fans who were beaten in almost all the departments of the game. Clearly, their fans were miffed and the mood in the Indian camp wasn't hard to imagine. But, despite a forgetful outing in the game, Indian captain Virat Kohli managed to win everyone's heart by showing grace in defeat and giving proper credit to the Pakistani side for a commendable show. However, the drama continued in the post-match press conference where Kohli was stunned by the very first question he was asked by a journalist. Here are the excerpts from the press conference: Journalist: Captain, you won the toss and a wicket on the no-ball. Did you feel any pleasant moment in this match? Kohli: Any what? Pleasant moment? Journalist: Pleasant moment. You won the toss and got a wicket on the no-ball. Did you think any more pleasant in the match? Kohli: Pleasant moment in the match? For who? Journalist: For you. Kohli: How can a no-ball be pleasant for me? Journalist: Because you got the wicket. Kohli: Was that even sensible? I mean, what’s happening. Now, that's definitely not the way you'd want to start your press conference, especially after your team has endured a crushing loss on the biggest stage.
