6 Waste-Of-Money Fitness Products That Still Make Millions In Profit

Quick fixes sell like hotcakes in the fitness industry. People would throw all their savings at a magical product that promises things like abs in 30 days or a belt you wear and do nothing and it will melt the fat away and the likes.  The companies selling these know that customers would go to any lengths and spend their money if they are made to believe in magical solutions. They often run adverts having pseudo fitness experts who would boast about the products so much that you will believe that the product is the only thing they have used in their life to stay in shape.  They pick on the insecurities and emotions of the people so well that the products that would not even be valued for a couple of bucks by someone who knows a thing or two about fitness, these gullible people would end up paying thousands for them, making it a very profitable business.

Some of these products are still selling today. Here are the top six stupid fitness products:

1. Slim Sauna Belt

Sweat = fat crying is NOT a thing. It's a myth. The models wearing it are in a darn good shape and that's because they don't wear slim sauna belt. This product has been introduced a decade ago and has generated at least $150 million in sales.

2. Six Pad Training Gear

Get a famous celebrity, ask them to put it on and shoot some videos and photos, and then market it to the people.

BOOM! Millions of dollars.

If you ever use this trick, I am taking a royalty for the idea. Now anyone who has followed Cristiano Ronaldo over the years knows how the guy has stayed in ridiculously good shape over the years. This shitty training gear would not even make the top 100 reasons he is fit.

3. Facial Fitness PAO

Another bizarre product endorsed by Cristiano Ronaldo for yet another aspect of his features, the jawline, which have no relevance to the product in question.

How is the product so bizarre? Watch this ad:

Want a good jawline? Drop your body fat and have a genetically good jawline.

4. The Thigh Master

Another absurd product that has generated over $100 million in sales. Why? Nobody knows why.  Probably the QVC ads targeted to the people. Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and Jimmy Fallon made quite a mockery of this product on the Tonight Show.

5. The Shake Weight

Incidentally, another of those bizarre products the Rock and Jimmy Fallon made fun of was the shake weight. This weird shaky dumbbell had generated $40 million in sales as per a report in 2010 and it still continues to sell.

This was sold mostly to women who incidentally almost never picked up a dumbbell in their life to understand how a dumbbell works.

6. The 6 Second Abs

Another selling pro tip from this article, find a bunch of lazy people and promise them a beach body without moving an inch from the couch.

What does it lead to? The sound of ka-ching.

Anyone who has worked for or gotten abs in their lives know the amount of hard work it requires.

In 6 seconds, sure. Give me two of those.
