  1. We don't know what Rakhi Sawant is smoking right now, but I am sure whatever it is, it's of premium or supreme quality. How else do you justify her recent lit gig at a certain wrestling event? View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rakhi Sawant (@rakhisawant2511) on Nov 12, 2018 at 12:48am PST I've been tripping over Rakhi Sawant's Instagram posts since the past few hours and if you follow her on social media, then you will know exactly what I am talking about - her dance face-off with a wrestler. View this post on Instagram She is Rebel who has intentionally harmed me... she took money from @iamtanushreeduttaofficial and tried to injured my back so that I can never dance again or entertain my fans.. My dear lovely fans from India, America and pura world I request you to stand with me and lets fight back with those British people.. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rakhi Sawant (@rakhisawant2511) on Nov 12, 2018 at 12:50am PST When a video of her lying unconscious and being taken to the hospital started circulating, people were confused about why and how she ended up fighting the wrestler and eventually landed in the hospital. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rakhi Sawant (@rakhisawant2511) on Nov 12, 2018 at 12:50am PST But, after watching these videos posted by Rakhi on her Instagram, we know how and why it happened. I don't know if her followers feel sorry for her, but they are surely laughing their asses off after looking at the videos. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rakhi Sawant (@rakhisawant2511) on Nov 12, 2018 at 12:51am PST These videos have left me with so many thoughts, most of which are disturbing and hilarious. Like the one right here, where she sits on top of the wrestler instead of fighting. And the one where the wrestler knocks her on the ground and then twerks right on her face. After looking at these videos, we're now confirmed that the Great Khali has got nothing on Rakhi when it comes to wrestling. 2. It's Shah Rukh Khan's birthday today. It should have been a national holiday, ideally, at least for women throughout the country, but it's not an ideal world after all. But it's the king of romance we're talking about, so we're all celebrating it anyway. So is he, in Mannat. But what struck us the hardest on this birthday is his choice of outfit. Take a look! © Viral Bhayani SRK is legit wearing a shirt made out of what looks like the quintessential desi 'gamchha'. There isn't a man in the country who hasn't used one of these to dry themselves after a shower. They might have become a little tough to spot of late, thanks to the reign of fluffy towels, but move a little beyond metro cities, and you can still easily spot these beauties everywhere. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Though we're a little perplexed about his choice of fabric, we think it doesn't look bad at all! In fact, it looks like the desi cousin of a plaid jacket. Plus, it looks really, really comfortable. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is that he is probably the only person in Bollywood who can pull off a statement piece like this while giving 'zero' hoots (see what we did there?) Happy Birthday, SRK!
  3. After surviving a scare in the 2nd ODI, the Indian cricket team put their best foot forward to produce clinical performances against West Indies to eventually sweep the five-match series 3-1. The turn of events during the fifth and final ODI once again highlighted why Team India is considered one of the best sides in limited-overs cricket. If Ravindra Jadeja's four-wicket haul restricted the Windies to a mere 104 runs, the sublime form of Rohit Sharma (63*) and Virat Kohli (33*) ensured India romped their way to an emphatic nine-wicket win at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. And, the fact that Kohli (453 runs) emerged with most runs and Kuldeep Yadav (9 scalps) with most wickets in the series goes on to show how dominating the Indian side has been against the Windies. Their brilliant showing in almost every facet of the game surely called for celebrations. And, that's exactly what the Indian cricketers were seen doing when they returned to their team hotel after the series triumph against the visitors. But, amid all the celebrations which also included a cake-cutting ceremony, two Indian stars stole the show. Back at the team hotel after an early wrap and it is time to celebrate.ð #TeamIndia #INDvWI pic.twitter.com/qW7mtAoXgq — BCCI (@BCCI) November 1, 2018 In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter, the Indian cricketers were seen arriving at the team hotel to a rousing welcome. Kohli was then seen making his way to the centre where a beautiful cake awaited him and his boys. And, it was great to see the Indian skipper asking Rohit to cut the cake on behalf of the team. While Rohit came forth to cut the cake, MS Dhoni and Jadeja were seen plotting a hilarious prank on the Mumbai batsman. And, as soon as Rohit did the needful, Dhoni asked Jadeja to burst some balloons right next to Rohit's ear. Surprised by the sudden noise, Rohit was scared shitless as both Dhoni and Jadeja broke into laughter. Apart from pulling off a brilliant prank on Rohit, Dhoni and Jadeja were earlier engrossed in an animated on-field conversation during the fifth ODI. In the 16th over of West Indies' innings, Shimron Hetmyer got struck on the pad close to the stumps. Jadeja and his teammates immediately went up in appeal, but umpire Anil Chaudhary denied the appeal. While Kohli and Dhoni were still mulling the idea of going for a review, Jadeja was convinced that the on-field umpire got it wrong. Dhoni was not sure but Sir Jadeja says it's out. Jaddu supersedes Dhoni and it's hitting the stumps. A reluctant review pays off. pic.twitter.com/IXdINbkqQ7 — This is HUGE! (@ghanta_10) November 1, 2018 Though Dhoni was convinced that it was not worth a review, Jadeja remained adamant that they bring third umpire Ian Gould into play. In a bid to avoid wasting a review, Dhoni even yelled at Jadeja for not forcing the third umpire's intervention. But, the Saurashtra cricketer insisted Kohli to go for a review after their animated discussion. Going against Dhoni, especially on DRS, is not something anyone recommends, but the replays suggested that Jadeja was indeed right on his call. The ball had pitched in line, beating the bat to hit Hetmyer right in front of the stumps and the hawk-eye suggested that it would have gone on to hit the middle stump. As soon as the replays confirmed Hetmyer's dismissal, the Indian fans cheered in the stands and Dhoni, for once, chuckled for being proved wrong.
  4. The original 'Dilbar' girl Sushmita Sen has long been dropping subtle hints about having been bitten by the love bug. The latest posts on her Instagram handle only make things a lot more suggestive with her beau making lot more appearances on her feed lately. One of Sushmita's recent post has got the gossip mills churning once more and if grapevine is to be believed Sushmita is finally letting the world sneak a peek into her love life. First came the touristy pictures from their visit to Agra: View this post on Instagram #clickclick #friends #team & the #love of life!!!ððð»ð#memorable #cherished #tajmahal â¤ï¸ I love you guys!!!!ð A post shared by Sushmita Sen (@sushmitasen47) on Oct 25, 2018 at 5:15am PDT Then came the two joint 'riyaz' videos that featured her elder daughter Renee and rumoured boyfriend crooning together to a Bollywood love song, while the second captured her own rendition of the classic “aaj jaane ki zidd na karo” - which we think is pretty suggestive again: View this post on Instagram “Music is a #vibration of happiness”â¤ï¸ðð»ðTo witness Renee & her #Guruji do their #riyaz is just magical!!ððâ¤ï¸ And Guruji on his part, makes sure EVERYONE singsðð So, @rohmanshawl (who already sings beautifully â¤ï¸) & yours truly also share in the happiness!!! ððð»ðµ Alisah decided to be incharge of #applause ðâ¤ï¸ proud of you Renee Shona, May you always have a #song in your heart, with the courage to sing it!!ððð#sharing #happiness #music #feeling #bliss ðI love you guys!!!ðð A post shared by Sushmita Sen (@sushmitasen47) on Oct 28, 2018 at 11:01am PDT However, it's the most recent picture of Sush and her rumoured boyfriend Rohman Shawl, working out together that's sent the tabloids into a frenzy. Not only is the picture giving netizens all the #CoupleFitnessGoals, but the caption also hints at all the possibilities of where the relationship could be headed. Take a look at it here: View this post on Instagram “He's younger & taller, I am wiser & tougher” ðððâ¤ï¸ perrrrrfect!!! “Love too is a discipline” hands on #handstand ðð #sharing #strength #love #stillness â¤ï¸ I love you guys!!!ð A post shared by Sushmita Sen (@sushmitasen47) on Oct 31, 2018 at 11:18am PDT The handstand looks more than perfect on them, but it's Rohman's response on this post that's sealed the deal for us. Here's what he said - What do you have to say about that? Guess Miss Chandni has finally found love in real life, and they look fit AF together, beside all the other good things. Now if that isn't confirmation enough, then what is?
  5. There's always a mystery around what kind of men women usually go for. But it isn't classified information anymore and we all know that. Women fall for two broad categories of men. The first category are your 'bad boys' and the second category are the 'nice guys', who presumably finish last. But the mystery around why women fall for either is still debatable. So, you can either be a jerk or the nicest guy in the world, according to some scrupulous research over the years on this very topic, women go through phases of falling for either and the secret is, you really have to know what phase they're going through and when. © Thinkstock Images I recently figured out when I was out into the 'nice guy' category by a woman who wanted to settle down. Not necessarily with me but I was a sure shot candidate. And she classified me under 'the nice guy'. That's when I figured what women want and when they want it and they distinctively have two pronounced phases in their life where they want either. Why Do Women Go For Jerks, Ass***** And Bad Boys It's no fallacy that women do go for bad boys , sometimes consciously. Bad boys are like an antidote for a bad situation and they make the situation better or worse, depending on the state she is in. There can be many reasons women are attracted to bad boys and they choose them over inherent good guys, at first. (1)Women Are Drawn To Bad Boys For Flings Bad boys shy away from commitment because most times they're narcissism get's way ahead of them. So, if she's going through a bad dating spell she might just automatically be drawn towards someone who's a complete commitment phobic and gives her adequate space. Girls also like bad boys doing a bad period because they know a bad boy will bail right on time, when things do get a little intense. So, it's her subconscious attempt to heal, through some attention and validation, through a fling. © Fox Star Studios (2) There Isn't A Dearth Of Bad Boys While men do take time to mature, they all go through a phase where they just want to have fun and not get too serious in life and in relationships. Women function differently though and that's also very chemically and hormonally inclined. But because boys are in the phase of metamorphosis, they're termed as 'bad boys' and they're plenty of them. Boys who don't want to commit, boys who're a bit careless with people's feelings and boys who are narcissistic in nature. They're out there and when women are done with a long term relationship or are going through a heart break, they're out there, waiting in numbers, to make them feel good about themselves, temporarily. © Pinterset (3) Ovulation Makes Women Think Sexy-Hot Boys Make Better Mates This is a well driven theory, where women look for a temporary solution to their future woes. They overlook the nice guys sometimes and want a bad boy to procreate with. Why? Because even if she's not too keen on having kids, her hormones will urge her to seek bad boys so they can make good baby daddies and her kids can be blessed with some good looking genes. According to various studies, evolution pushes women to look for 'sexier' men with obvious 'alpha' male traits. That's because their hormones tell them that sexier men will make better mates than their dependable, 'beta' counterparts. But this can also be a temporary thought process as women seek bad boys only through a phase. © HBO The bad boy phase doesn't last for too long in a woman's life and it comes early on, when she's confused about her decisions or when she's going through a terrible heartbreak and needs quick validation. After she's sorted, she moves over to the other phase in life. Seeking the beta's, aka the 'nice guys'. Nice Guys Finish Last This statement is every bit true. The phase where women do want nice guys is right in the end. It's when she's done dating jerks and non-committed folks, she wants a more dependable and trusting partner. It's woman nature, TBH and you really can't challenge it. She also looks for some bad boy qualities in her beta male. Like good looks, a good body and a good job, but the man has to be dependable and absolute marriage material. It's sort of looking for a man who has it all. And that's not her conscious decision trust me. Those are her fertility hormones that make her want to procreate with the good mix of both alpha and beta. © Columbia Pictures Sometime women may want an alpha in her partner but because alpha males are usually 'bad boys', she goes for a beta. He may not be good looking, he may not be an extrovert but he has a good head on his shoulder and she can depend on him with her life and that's where nature vs nurture come in. She goes for his personality to mate with him, in order to have a life partner who will always be committed and faithful to her. © Eros International In conclusion, if you ever wonder what a woman wants, figure out what phase she's in first. If she's in phase 1, where she's dating random men and having flings she's most likely to date all the bad boys in town. If she's in phase 2, then inevitably, she'd want to date someone who can take care of her and nurture her zeal to procreate and settle down. What you need to do is be who you and figure the kind of partner you want to attract. Fine tune yourself to be what she wants in life and also figure her specific desires.
  6. As a kid, I often wondered if there is any secret magical pill or antidote for ageing (to reverse the process). After looking at actress Aishwarya Rai, now I know who got the annual supply of those magic pills. Otherwise, how else do you explain this? View this post on Instagram â¨ð A post shared by AishwaryaRaiBachchan (@aishwaryaraibachchan_arb) on Aug 1, 2018 at 1:08am PDT The former Miss World turned 45 today, yet she looks like she stopped ageing post 25 and I guess her 5.3 million Instagram followers and million others across the world will agree with me. 7. With the wedding season dawning upon us quick enough, the tinseltown of Bollywood seems to be amongst the busiest lot. From playing baraatis to ladki-wale in two different weddings within a span of one month, they seem to have their hands full. While a lot of digging is underway for Ranveer and Deepika's wedding in mid-November in Italy, little is known about Priyanka and Nick's wedding. The official announcement for the final wedding dates hasn't been made so far and the last reported update anyone received about the “Nickyanka” wedding was its venue, which is said to be the Umaid Bhavan in Jodhpur. © Instagram While Priyanka seems to be trying hard to ensure no inside detail related to the wedding makes its way to the public domain, the guest list has somehow found its way out. The reported guest list suggested in an article on Spotboye.com hints that Priyanka plans to invite many of her close friends from the industry to the wedding. The names which have surfaced so far include Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Roy Kapur, amongst others. The wedding invites are set to start rolling out in mid-November. But the notable piece of information that's peaking people's interest is that Priyanka plans to invite Salman Khan to her wedding. After their apparent fallout post Priyanka's sudden walkout from Salman's next 'Bharat', this is being read as a sign of truce between the two actors. We wonder what it would have been like to have this Bollywood A-lister give PeeCee's wedding a miss. © Twitter A source was also quoted as saying, “Besides Salman, invitations will also be sent out to Arpita-Aayush, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail-Seema, Alvira-Atul Agnihotri and Salim Khan. The couple plans to host a 3-day grand celebration at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur and 1500-2000 guests are expected to turn up.” © Instagram Another DNA report stated that, “Priyanka's mother, Madhu Chopra, wants to have a traditional Indian wedding for her daughter. So, there will be a mehendi and sangeet ceremonies on November 30 and December 1. PC and Nick are planning to fly down their closest buddies for their big moment. They have locked two venues in Jodhpur for the three-day function”. Well, that's all we know so far folks.
  8. The internet has made many jokes about how 'Avengers: Infinity War' was the biggest crossover ever and we all really didn't know what was coming our way in the next one, 'Avengers 4'. Who would've thought that we would live to see a 'Thirteen Reasons Why' and 'Avengers' crossover? Reportedly, Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah Baker in the Netflix show is now a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has joined the cast of 'Avengers 4', with people now coming up with theories about what role she could be playing, because you know how Marvel fans are with all the fan theories. The biggest contender out of all the theories is that she could be playing the role of Kate Bishop, who is an archer in the comics. The character is supposed to be similar to that of Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, actually in fact she's his protégé. With Marvel finally waking up and realizing the potential of female superheroes, it's quite plausible that they would add more kick ass female characters and that could by why Katherine's character could have been a last-minute addition. Moreover, with a solo Hawkeye movie in the works, it would make sense to introduce more characters related to him. It's great to see Katherine widening her choice in roles after her hit show but, fortunately or unfortunately, she will always be Hannah Baker for everyone and as expected, ever since the news of her being a part of MCU came, so did all the jokes about 'Thirteen Reasons Why'. Almost everyone made this joke, obviously. 9. It's Halloween time and you'll probably find a lot of lists of what to watch, where to party and how to dress up, but we are tripping on something else for Halloween. Here's a list of 5 'desi' Indian horror shows which scared the daylights out of us when we were kids and the reason why we slept with the lights on: 1. Aahat The moment you read the name the tune started playing in your head, right? The tune oddly sounded like the title track of 'Gupt' to me. This iconic horror show was damn scary and probably really good with creeping us out. One particular episode that stands out in my mind is where the woman is trapped in the mirror, where there is a whole new scary world. I could not really face the mirror alone for a very long time. 2. The Zee Horror Show Another great horror show that gave us scares in the midnight with a theme song that gave us Goosebumps. 3. Ssshhhh...Koi Hai This was a horror anthology series which ran chills down our spines. Every episode had a new theme with a different star cast and every episode was equally scary! Also brilliant background score as well. 4. Woh Let's just give credits to the makers for being super thoughtful and progressive in terms of adapting the iconic 'IT' into a TV show for the Indian masses. The clown that made sure all of us ran away from clowns at birthday parties, Lilliput did a fantastic job of scaring us repeatedly . 5. Mano Ya Na Mano This drama series was based on real life incidents which made it scarier than everything on this list. Irrfan Khan played the perfect host as he navigated our fears through various parts of India and the intriguing tales embedded in our culture. Which one are you streaming again for Halloween now?
  10. All over the internet, you'll find a string of different tests of strength. Lifting this and bending that. The tests are many but most don't really make sense in a real gym environment. So how do you really test your strength without looking like an idiot? Here are the things no one talks about: . Strength standards assume that every single body has leverages suitable for lifting. . Strength standards assume no previous injuries or joint dysfunctions. . Strength standards base their lifting numbers from examples within the elite of the elite and subtract from there based on skill and ability level. What I mean here is that you should not judge how strong you are based on random guidelines off the internet. They do not apply to everyone. Humans come in all different shapes and sizes and it's never a one-size-fits-all, especially when it comes to judging strength. Having said that, here are a few ways to judge whether you are actually strong or not: 1) Pull-Ups: 10 Reps © YouTube If you are an advanced lifter, 10 reps might sound like child's play to you but the number of people who can actually do pull-ups is very, very small. Finding someone who can do 10 reps of pulls-up with good form is like finding a flying pig. True strength can be witnessed in how a lifter controls his bodyweight when he/she is tired, especially during the eccentric (lowering) part. If you cannot do 10 pull-ups with good form, you have yet to realize your potential when it comes to strength or you need to lose some weight or both. 2) Squats: Bodyweight X 6 reps © YouTube Front or back squat, whichever variation you prefer does not matter. If you are not able to perform 6 solid to the floor squats with your bodyweight on the bar, you are not as strong as you could be. This is one of most accurate assessments one can do, no matter the body weight and size. Clearly, a 55 kg person will have an easier time squatting his bodyweight than a 100 kg guy. Think about it, if a 100 kg guy is not able to squat his body weight, then he definitely needs to lose some weight. If you're big and heavy, you should also be strong enough in proportion, if not you are just overweight. 3) Push-Ups: 35 Solid Reps © Pixabay Now, I can understand if you fall a pull-up or two short of the desired number, but not having the strength and conditioning to perform 35 solid push-ups in good form is inexcusable. The correct way to perform a push-up is to keep the core braced and tuck the chin in.
  11. Indians account for the third-highest chunk of visitors to Pornhub, one of the largest porn aggregator sites in the world. Going by 2017 stats, 75 million users from India logged on to the site every day with an average session duration of 9.46 minutes. But, everything comes to a full stop because you won't be able to easily access porn online now. The High Court of Uttarakhand passed an order to block 827 websites which offer pornographic content, following the order the Department of Telecom sent out a notification to telecom operators. The Government body said, “all the internet service licensees are instructed to take immediate necessary action for blocking of 827 websites as per the direction from Meity and for the compliance of the Hon'ble High Court order.” Jio users right now #pornban pic.twitter.com/7XSgzxNdCN — tanishk (@rai_tanishk) October 26, 2018 The Uttarakhand High Court had stated in the order that the unlimited access to pornographic content needs to be blocked to prevent any adverse influence on the minds of children. Jio is just among the first ones to comply with the order, and other telcos like Airtel and Vodafone would be following soon. The High Court order was passed in September, and only now has the actual implementation gone through. Users aren't happy though and social networking sites like Twitter and Reddit are buzzing with jokes and rants. Usually, when a webpage is barred, a notification stating "Access Denied" or a small court message appears. In this case, the page simply wouldn't load. After Jio's porn ban All VPN Apps : pic.twitter.com/19hTbbrEBo — Lakhan Vijayvargiya (@Four_2kaOne) October 24, 2018 It's worth noting that the list of banned sites include only major ones right now, and the lesser popular ones are still running as usual. The telco needs to manually block a URL and cannot extend it to a general category of porn sites. A similar order was also issued in July 2015, when DoT blocked 857 websites with adult content. The DoT then changed its order on August 4, 2015, stating that the internet service providers are free not to disable any of the 857 web links which do not have child pornographic content.

  13. For a man who learned the tools of his trade at Real Madrid's famed 'La Fabrica' academy and got promoted to the reserves in 2016, Achraf Hakimi is quickly establishing his reputation as one of the most effective defenders in the world of football. Promoted to the main squad in 2017 as a backup to Dani Carvajal and Nacho, Hakimi made 11 appearances for Los Blancos last season. He made two appearances in the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League as Madrid romped to their third consecutive title. In the process, he became the first Moroccan player to win the coveted Champions League. Despite making just nine La Liga appearances in his breakthrough stint with Madrid last season, Hakimi was hardly short of offers of first-team football this past summer, as the top brass at Santiago Bernabeu wanted the youngster to learn on the job. But, it was his teammate Carvajal's advice that had him convinced about a two-year loan move to Borussia Dortmund. Five games in, Hakimi's decision is fully vindicated. © Twitter/@AchrafHakimi The 19-year-old produced a Carvajal-esque performance for Dortmund during their 7-0 hammering of Nuremberg, capped by his blazing 18-yard debut goal. A trip to Bayer Leverkusen, three days later, provided a much sterner examination of the Moroccan's credentials, but he aced the test with flying colours as BVB secured a 4-2 win. Against Augsburg, Hakimi was seen playing the role of creator for Mario Gotze's goal in their 4-3 win. In the four games he has played for Dortmund, Hakimi boasts of a stunning goal and two crucial assists in the Bundesliga this season. But, the young Morocco international had reserved his best for the Champions League when Atletico Madrid visited Signal Iduna Park for a group-stage clash. Ladies and Gentleman... Axel Witsel is #wonderfull#BVB#UCL#BVBATLpic.twitter.com/ZaWzxrS738 — Borussia Dortmund News (@bvbnewscom) October 24, 2018 Predominantly a right-back, Hakimi, for the second consecutive game for BVB, filled in comfortably on the opposite wing against Atletico. He helped set up fellow summer signing Axel Witsel for their opening goal in 38th minute. His cross in the 73rd minute was slotted home by Raphael Guerreiro to double Dortmund's lead. And then, Jason Sacho's tap-in completed a treble of assist for Hakimi. © AP Though he didn't get the ball on every offensive sequence, the youngster made it a point to get in ball-winning positions for his team immediately. Often acting as a ball-carrier to get BVB high up the pitch quickly, Hakimi caused Atletico headaches all night with his sheer pace. By the time he was done, Hakimi had three assists, a team-high 94 touches and four key passes to his name in what looked like one of the best wing-back masterclasses of recent times. The reasons why @AchrafHakimi is your #BLRookie of the month! ð½ï¸#DontCrackUnderPressurepic.twitter.com/JYWRh6c0uB — Bundesliga English (@Bundesliga_EN) October 16, 2018 For a player who will be waiting till Matchday 5 to make his Dortmund debut, Hakimi has proved to be more than just a cover at right-back for Lukasz Piszczek, who was earlier sidelined by muscle complaints. Even when the Polish international returned to the starting line-up, Hakimi, rather than dropping to the bench, continues to demonstrate his versatility by swapping flanks to take up the left-back berth for BVB. Profiled as a quick, dynamic and powerful full-back, this 19-year-old lad is tactically and technically adept, and capable of playing long accurate passes from the defence. And, the fact that he trained as a winger further allows him to excel in offensive roles. Though it's still a tad too early to tip Hakimi as the best in business, there is no denying that the Moroccan star is one of the best upcoming talents in the ever-competitive world of football.
  14. Winter is right at our doorstep and it is going to bring along those days of extremely tight muscles and unending soreness. While not a LOT changes between working out in summers and in the winter, there are a couple of things that need to be looked at to prevent injury. Here are 4 things you need to pay attention to while working out during winters: © Tnation 1) Warm-Up Seriously Before A Workout Not that you didn't know this already but not everyone warms-up seriously. While in summers the body's already warm and ready to kick it, in winters, it just isn't. An explosive dynamic warm-up is a great tool here. Pick a couple of body weight exercises and do a small 3-5 minute circuit. If your gym has a rowing machine, even better! Hop on and go balls out for 1-2 minutes at full throttle. Break a sweat. 2) Do Dynamic Warm-Ups. Don't Bother With Static Warm Ups. Dynamic warm-ups involve moving explosively for a couple of minutes and static stretching is nothing but standing at a place and stretching. Now, here's where people get it all wrong. A static warm-up should be done after the workout because the body is already warm and muscle tissues have more elasticity. A dynamic one should be done right before starting a workout, simply because it warms you up and gets you ready. Doing static stretching without doing a proper dynamic warm-up can cause injuries. © Pixabay 3) Drink Your Damn Water! For obvious reasons, hydration takes a steep dip during winters. We just don't feel thirsty. This doesn't, in all cases, mean that we don't need more water. Once in a rigorous workout, during winter, you will realize how dehydrated you actually are. Keep a strict check on how much water you are drinking throughout the day. 4) Supplement With Curcumin And Citrulline Malate To Deal With Post-Workout Muscle Soreness Soreness can cause twice as much as pain during winters. Curcumin (haldi) has shown to help with delayed onset muscle soreness in many pieces of research. It's also a very potent anti-inflammatory agent. You can also look at CM that has recently hit the headlines for being helpful for soreness. Here's our take on it, in detail. Referred Researches- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25795285
  15. iPhone pre-orders have kicked off globally and the phone is scheduled to start shipping from October 26. It is expected to sell a lot more, thanks to its considerably lower starting price of US$ 750, instead of iPhone X's US$ 999. According to reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new iPhone XS and XS Max both exceeded Apple's expectations, and the iPhone XR will continue the streak. The iPhone XR has been slightly delayed due to a few setbacks in production, but despite the delay, anticipation for the phone has been least affected. Now that online pre-orders have opened up, we have a clearer idea of how good the demand is. A few colour options like yellow and PRODUCT(RED) iPhone XR models from T-Mobile won't ship out for one to two weeks. © CNBC Even in the UK, the coral and yellow models are estimated to have at least 1-2 weeks of minimum shipping gap. T-Mobile has already sold out the 128GB and 256GB yellow version of the phone and the same goes for the coral and red 128GB models. For now, Apple opened up pre-orders for contract phones only, SIM-free models of the iPhone XR aren't included, meaning there may be a shortage of supply. Though, the SIM-free variant will be making its way to international markets soon. © Apple The USA and UK have reported only delayed shipping as of now, but given the trend, it won't be surprising to see them completely run out of stocks soon. The iPhone XR is designed to take some load off the iPhone XS and XS Max, and with a lower price tag, the user base further expands. The iPhone XR sports a 6.1-inch LCD display and a notch that has the same Face ID array we see on the elder siblings. The rear has a 12-megapixel single wide angle lens on and the front has a 7-megapixel sensor. It runs the same A12 Bionic chipset and brings in all the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence features. © The Verge The phone is available for pre-order in India as well, and is priced at Rs 76,900, while its 128GB variant costs Rs 81,900. The 256GB storage version can be purchased at Rs 91,900. It can be pre-ordered online from Airtel, Jio, Paytm Mall, and Amazon and offline from resellers like iWorld, Imagine, and others. 16. The new NBA season just started and we've already seen a couple of close games between the Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz (6 point victory) and the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves (4 point victory). With so many games yet to be played, there's a lot to look forward to over the next few months. But, who do you watch out for? You have your favourites like LeBron and Durant. But, what about the rest? It's not like these guys are going to be playing every single night. It's only befitting that you find some new names to follow too. So, here's a list of 5 relatively unknown NBA players you should watch out for in the 2018-19 season: Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks Source: Getty Images Doncic helped Real Madrid win the Euro League Final Four a few months ago and also picked up the MVP title in the process. Mavericks icon Dirk Nowitzki has a lot of faith in this 19-year-old and believes he's going to be pivotal to the Mavs success in 2018-19. Kawhi Leonard, Toronto Raptors Source: Getty Images With 24 points and 13 rebounds in his first game for the Raptors this season, it's safe to assume this might just end up being his year. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year had a poor end to last season due to injury but on Wednesday, he looked better than ever. We expect to see great things from him in the coming months. Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks Source: Getty Images He's been one of the most accurate shooters for the Bucks over the last few seasons scoring 39.2% of his 3-point attempts. He started all 82 games for them last season and with Mike Budenholzer running the show for them this season, we can expect Middleton to get many more scoring opportunities. That is, if Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn't overshadow him though. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets Source: Getty Images He's considered the best passing center in the NBA right now. Even in terms of shooting and rebounds, he's right up there with the best. If he scores as many points as he did last season, he could end up making the All-Star team among other achievements. The Nuggets are hoping to make it to the playoffs this season and it's safe to say Jokic will have a very important role to play in their success. Jerami Grant, Oklahoma City Thunder Source: Getty Images Jerami Grant is one of the few professional NBA players who can play any position on defence with ease. His versatility is what helped the Thunder out quite a bit last season and it looks like things will only get better this season. Since Carmelo Anthony is no longer with the Thunder, 2018-19 can end up being the season when Jerami Grant's name echoes throughout the halls of the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
  17. While the #MeToo movement has been rapidly growing and grasping the intrinsic issues of society today, there are a lot of questions being raised for its prominence. A number of eminent people have been named and shamed and a lot many people have been called out for their despicable conduct, in major cities and smaller towns. While the movement is for both men and women alike, more women have come out with some harsh stories of sexual abuse and harassment than men have, according to the statistics and the figures seem to be tilting this particular way so far. © Reuters While the survivors and the victims are coming out in large number with their stories of abuse and sharing them all over the interweb, while accosting the accused, we mustn't forget this is a tough time for all the men out there too. Not the men who've been accused, of course, but the other men who're either with the movement in full momentum, giving their two cents or the men who're sitting on the fence or even the men who do not want to be involved in it. Well, guess what? You're involved in this regardless of fact that you want to turn a blind eye towards the entire situation. The #MeToo movement isn't about instilling certain fears in everyone (especially men) to be wary of every action and interaction in society, pertaining to women. It's just symbolic for normalcy and equality in a society, which is governed by a sheer sense of entitlement and ownership that is so blatantly displayed today. This notion has definitely left most men confused though. While they struggle to normalise situations in society they're also drawing a blank while thinking 'what next'. But in accordance with the movement, men have a stringent role to play. They have a sense of responsibility they cannot easily evade and dismiss. So, if you're confused on how to partake or be responsible in this women-led movement, journalist HR Venkatesh has some sound advice for you, through a Twitter thread. It doesn't matter if you're a survivor or the accused, someone who doesn't want to get too involved or someone who has raised his voice, this thread is for everyone (especially men), telling us about how to actively get involved in the movement, which is affecting everyone in the country currently. Yes, the responsibility is yours and yours alone! © Facebook How can we men help the #metooIndia movement? Some say "step up", some say "don't drown out women's voices." Some (men) ask, "why should we do anything at all?" So this here is a rolling compilation of what we should do and why: — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 16 October 2018 1/n. Offer your time. Many men want to be seen as doing good too, which is OK. But now is not the time to seek the spotlight. Volunteer to do background work. For eg: If there's a march, offer to arrange refreshments, or just show up. — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 16 October 2018 This effort to crowdfund is potential one way to help: https://t.co/Nu3b7LFD94 — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 16 October 2018 3/n. If we men want to speak up, but aren't sure exactly what to say, a good way is to retweet tweets by the likes of @TheRestlessQuil @Raksha_Kumar @MasalaBai @AnooBhu @ghazalawahab etc. — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 16 October 2018 4/n. Believe the stories by women. We men might feel like we're under attack, but honestly these stories of sexual harassment are NOT an attack on men, but about justice and patriarchy. — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 16 October 2018 5/n. Read this piece: "How men can show solidarity with the #metoo movement." Applies to India too. https://t.co/j7swsatcp6 — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 17 October 2018 Another article that helps as well. https://t.co/x9TV8jyjZP — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 17 October 2018 6/n. Finally, what if we men feel guilty about our own behaviour? Even if we haven't sexually harassed/abused someone, there's a chance that we've been ass****s to women. What do we do then? + — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 17 October 2018 In that case, we'd have to continue showing our support, while acknowledging that we're all products of a society that has for thousands of years treated women as inferior and playthings. — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 17 October 2018 To finish with a disclaimer about the larger reality of being a man: I've been a problematic male. For years, I thought I was 'woke' when I wasn't even close to it. People who know me well know this. For guys like me, shedding the chains of patriarchy is the work of a lifetime. — H R Venkatesh (@hrvenkatesh) 17 October 2018 And do not, repeat do not, try to derail the movement by: -But she is left/right wing woman -But what about innocent men -But she got benefitted from it so why is she complaining -But it happened 20 years ago -But she did not object first time Etc etc etc. — Padmaja (@padmajasreeni) 17 October 2018 Men like you are disgusting who will do anything to get into pants of females even if it involves pushing innocent into despair via the vigilante mobs of #metoo happy to destroy a man honour, life and career merely based on women words and prejudice thar women are prosecuted 𤢠— Asvathama Prasad (@damned_men) 17 October 2018 In India - a woman is "innocent" until proven guilty, a man is "guilty" until proven innocent..!! @Actor_Siddharth — à¤à¤ à¤à¤à¤¸à¤¾à¤¨ (@Indian4Insaan) 16 October 2018 Hey why is it so difficult to understand that one should not jump to conclusions, a tweet alone isn't enough to brand someone a sexual predator be it a man or woman so be reasonable dont go crzy when the accused defends himself, be reasonable — Divyanshu Mehta (@divyanshumehta) 18 October 2018 Support women in your life to come out with their stories. Here's hoping everyone understands the sense of responsibility looming over their heads and acts upon it steadfastly!
  18. Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll. The multi-talented actor has been delivering good performances consistently for quite some time now, and his films are turning out to be really entertaining. However, he clearly is adept at carrying more than just big films on his able shoulders. His clothes are big too, quite literally. Confused? Take a look at the trousers he stepped out wearing, for 'Badhaai Ho' screening. © Instagram - Isha Bhansali © Viral Bhayani As big as those pants are, we absolutely love them. The pleated, super wide silhouette looks phenomenal, mainly because of their construction and fall. We like fact that they have been paired with the grey jacket, and a translucent white shirt. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to accessories, we totally like the minimalistic vibe going on with the statement glasses and the watch. The fact that he hasn't gone overboard, shows that he totally understands the nuances of the new-age street aesthetic. © Instagram - Isha Bhansali When you have a pair of pants that are this statement, you can totally wear a super simple shirt and button it up till the top for a sophisticated and ramp-ready look. Adding a jacket would be ideal when it comes to dealing with the nip in the air, for the fancy evening stroll. © Viral Bhayani We love the chunky white sneakers that he has been wearing frequently of late. They clearly are super versatile. In a nutshell, we are loving this unusual aesthetic, Ayushmann. Kudos!
  19. In 1968, American poet and activist, Muriel Rukeyser was quoted asking a very pertinent question- "what would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open". The relevance of this quote today is unimaginable, with regard to the #MeToo movement. Women have been stepping out from years of sexual abuse and harassment and speaking boldly about facts they've been ruminating over, for ages now and that's what has made this movement powerful. Their previously unheard voices. © Twitter But we mustn't mistake this movement to be concentric to the urban elite or the upper middle class or the rich and the famous. Although, yes, the genesis was from Hollywood and it rippled all the way to Bollywood, it has also impacted smaller circles, cities and small town as well. Over the last couple of weeks, we've seen women bravely speak out against men with positions of power and take the storm head on. But there have also been women amidst us, who've spoken up against their not-so-known perpetrators, in the same capacity as the women who've spoken about prominent figures in society and it's their story too. What I am getting at is, the #MeToo movement might have been a wake-up call for the rich and the famous but the phenomenon hasn't stopped there and it has surely trickled down and made its way through the urban divide as well. © Twitter To classify #MeToo as a movement just for celebrities and figureheads is entirely unfair. Smaller fractions of society are feeling the heavy weight of the movement upon them too and women have come together to stand up for one another. Even though the movement is running parallel in two strata's of society, a lot of similarities in understanding and responding to the movement can be seen. The most obvious one is most men being in denial vicariously and unapologetically. © Twitter Another similarity to observe here is the fact that women are unanimously polarising the effect of the movement in a very concerted way, to say the least. Men and women alike are heading in a direction that I would like to call as the 'new world gender order', or at least the brink of it. No, I am not talking about any totalitarian government but a unique and precise gender identity that's taking precedence now. Gender roles are more defined, regardless of caste and creed. And it's only possible because an entire country is marching up and confronting the movement head-on, and not just a single strata of society. © Twitter According to a visualisation of the Google trends data, which shows the top cities searching for the #MeToo movement around the world, India tops the list. It's actually true. I don't know if it's because we're a heavily populated country and the search for these cases is more prevalent here or because patriarchy and basic conditioning is so deep-rooted in our upbringing, that everyone relates to the movement more substantially. NASA actually captured an image, as they did of India on Diwali, showing India as most lit up on the entire globe, corroborating the reach and the momentum of the movement, so to speak. Surprisingly though, Google hasn't listed Delhi, Bengaluru or Mumbai as the cities that are searching for #Metoo movement online, but you'll see Chicalim in Goa, Bhusawal in Maharashtra, Zirakpur in Punjab and Bhanwreli in Chattisgarh topping the search. While the movement is in full flow in bigger cities, smaller towns are actively trying to contribute to the movement too, by reading up as much of it, as they can on it. Statistically, rapes and cases of sexual harassment and assault are more prevalent in smaller towns and villages and this is the best piece of education the internet can impart, to women especially, who are subjugated to these crimes in the past, or the present and want to be heard. © Twitter Having said that, women in bigger cities, working in regular 9-5 jobs are also getting together and calling men out for their behaviour. They're forming smaller groups to fight for the movement together to bring the perpetrators out in the open. So, to be fair, calling the movement a movement for the 'privileged' is absolutely unfair. Anyone who has a voice can come forth and talk about their story, openly while knowing the consequences of openly talking about it, will always favour anyone who decides to do it.
  20. Horror movies and shows are not everyone's cup of tea, I would know, I'm a huge wimp when it comes to them. But, I feel like there is a huge amount of people who love to get scared out of their wits and look out for new horror stuff to watch, I mean that's why people keep making them. So, for people who enjoy the genre, they're always on the lookout for new stuff to watch and probably believe the scarier the better. And now, Netflix is here to fulfil everyone's wishes with some extremely scary stuff, that is literally not for the faint of heart. I'm guessing everyone has heard about the new Netflix Original – 'The Haunting of Hill House' – because everyone can't stop tweeting about it, because well, it's a little too scary. But, I guess since it's Halloween, 'tis the season to be spooked. But, first here's a little background on the show, it's loosely based on Shirley Jackson's 1959 gothic novel, 'The Haunting of Hill House'. It follows a “group of siblings who grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country, as tragedy forces them -- now adults -- back to the house to confront the ghosts of the past.” Here's the trailer- With people saying that they threw up and passed out because of the show, to some even claiming that they got an anxiety attack, it's safe to say this show is redefining the meaning of 'Netflix and Chill'. So, here are some tweets from those who have watched the show. If you have watched it already, you'll have people who understand and relate to you or if you haven't, then you get a fair idea of what you can expect and be prepared for it. Okay, then. I have made a critical error: I have continued to watch #HauntingofHillHouse after dark, and uh, I am seriously regretting it. pic.twitter.com/E8qnTzqQTs — Spooky Steph (@WriteOnSteph) October 14, 2018
  21. Not everyone is a fan of comedy-drama, there are some of us who live on shows which knock the wind out of us with their unimaginable storyline. We long for plots that keep us on the edge of our couch, for well-charted out characters that keep our eyes glued to the screen, and the twists that keep us coming back for more, again and again. This sounds like the perfect plan for the long weekend to us. You know, the ones who prefer to stay at home and chill, rather than leave the comforts of our home to appear. If you are just like us, and totally believe in taking your mind for a spin when given the chance, then these 5 thrilling web series will prove to be the best way of spending the long weekend. 1. Sense8 - Netflix This is one hell of a series, that's wrapped in the most meaty plot. The story follows the lives of eight strangers (Sensates) who suddenly begin to experience each other's lives through the power of telepathy. Each one of them is located in a different city around the world, but their lives are connected to a point where they can not only read each other's thoughts but can also access each other's knowledge, language and skills. The gripping story unveils the many dangers they are set to face, and if or how they fight their demons. 2. Absentia - Prime Video The journey of an FBI agent who was on an official mission to hunt down a notorious serious killer, but goes missing instead. When she is found after six years she doesn't remember any details about the time she was gone. From the loss of her memory to finding herself wound up in a new series of murders, this quick-paced drama manages to keep you on your toes at all times. Your guesses at solving the mystery, and putting the pieces of the puzzle together, will always fail. Yet, you'll find yourself moving on to the next episode. 3. Altered Carbon - Netflix Set in the far away future, this story is sure to test your brain cells and spike up your endorphin levels. The basic premise of the story is that people's consciences have been downloaded to form stacks, which can be shifted to new bodies or “sleeves”. The first season begins with Takeshi Kovacs, a former U.N. soldier, resurfacing in a different sleeve of a private investigator, to solve the murder of the man who hires him. The fascinating plot promises solid rising action, while the actors look promising in their on-screen characters. However, it's the intricacies of the murder mystery that promises you a ride of a lifetime. 4. Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan - Prime Video Another thriller that has the audience hooked is 'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan' which is based on the fictional characters from 'Ryanverse'. The series opens with Ryan, a CIA analyst, who gets caught in the tricky ways of fate and duty and is launched on a personal escapade to track down a dangerous Islamic terrorist. The cast is marvellous, the story is gripping, but it is the titular character and his amaze-balls ways that steal the show. 5. Dark This story might be hard to watch, but we promise you that it's even more difficult to stop watching. Shot in German, and in a gloomy setting which underlines its title, the story traces the lives of people living in the small town of Winden. The plot is full of cheating spouses, secrets, gruesome killings, and dead birds falling from the sky. The perpetual darkness is ominous of the many hidden mysteries, that are to unravel the ugly deeds of the last three generations. Get ready for a mind-boggling ride with these shows. We suggest keeping some snacks and good company handy while watching these.
  22. The #MeToo movement in Bollywood now has all the skeletons pouring out from the closet, with women coming up and sharing their assault stories. While Tanushree Dutta led the bold wave which led to an avalanche of voices, the industry has not been able to escape from celebs being called out. Kangana Ranaut has accused 'Queen' director Vikas Bahl of misconduct with her and also extended support to a fellow employee of Phantom Production, who accused the director of harassment as well. © Instagram In a recent interview, Kangana also called out Hrithik Roshan and demanded that he should be punished. The actress never holds on to criticism and is known for her brutal honesty as well. She has now questioned the silence of noted celebrities like Shabana Azmi and Karan Johar, who have been silent over the #MeToo wave in Bollywood. “Where are people like Karan Johar and Shabana Azmi?' These people should also come out. Karan Johar has views about gym looks and airport looks. He tweets ten times about it. What about this? This is their identity. This is their bread and butter. When the film industry is going through such an important shift, where are they?" she said in the interview. © Instagram Kangana and Karan's war of words can be traced back to the time when she called him out for preaching nepotism and spoke her mind when she appeared on his chat show. The actress wants people to speak up and that makes complete sense. Names like Sajid Khan, Alok Nath And Kailash Kher have already come up and are under the radar, and looks like this wave is going to wash up even more names.
  23. A slew of social issues have found millennial voices, but mental health awareness still remains a taboo of sorts and Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone is out to change exactly that. The actress, who has always broken the glass ceiling by coming out in the open about her own troubles with depression, once again pledged support to the cause on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, on Wednesday. “In 2014, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. But, in India, 90% of people who suffer from depression don't seek help,” she said in a video shared on her Twitter account. “Depression is like any other illness that requires intervention.” In her message, she also normalised mental health disorders and urged patients to share their stories using the #NotAshamed hashtag. #NotAshamed pic.twitter.com/DgewpgBpn5 — Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) October 10, 2018 A study conducted by the World Health Organization in 2015 showed that one in five Indians may suffer from depression in their lifetime, which is equivalent to 20 crore people. Due to the stigma associated with mental illness, a lack of awareness, and limited access to professional help, only 10-12 per cent of these sufferers will seek help. Another study, carried out by Assocham last year, showed that clinical depression has risen by around 50 per cent in the last eight years. It does not make discernible urban-rural demographic differences and also states that most people who commit suicide are below the age of 44. It adds that 42.5 per cent of employees in the Indian private sector are afflicted with general anxiety disorder or depression, as compared to government employees. A private sector employee in India works for a minimum of 48-50 hours a week when compared to 33 hours a week in the UK and 40 hours a week in the US. In addition, the pay in these developed countries is almost six times more even after deducting the indexing prices and cost of living. According to 'Mental Health: TLLLF National Survey Report 2018,' commissioned by The Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLLF), more than 75 percent of participants stated they would always feel sympathetic towards mental health patients. In the same vein though, they also exhibited feelings of fear (14 per cent would always be fearful), hatred (28 per cent feel hatred sometimes or always), and anger (43 per cent feel angry sometimes or always) towards people with mental illness. More than a quarter admitted that they would always be 'indifferent' towards people with mental illness. These admissions indicate the prevalent stigma in society, which when clubbed with an acute shortage of mental health specialists, presents the grim reality of the situation in India. The death of the globe-trotting, fine-dining Anthony Bourdain – he committed suicide in a Paris hotel room earlier this year – brought to fore our failings on a global level as well. Is there a solution, then? Diverse programmes and legislation, including the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram and the Mental Health Care Act, could prove to be steps in the right direction for patients in India. But, as Harvard professors Vikram Patel and Shekhar Saxena write in their Indian Express column, proper implementation would require a genuine partnership of a diverse range of groups. From the mental health and development communities to policymakers and civil society, one and all need to come together to transform mental health across the country. 24. Oh, Mark, you never learn, do you? You know what's worse than heartbreak? Getting spoilers about a movie that you were so eagerly looking forward to. That shit hurts, and if it's a movie like 'Avengers', then that's the worst thing in the world, don't even fight me on that. But, looks like Mark Ruffalo is a sadist who likes to watch people suffer, or maybe he's just a little confused and doesn't know when to shut up. We all know Mark and Tom Holland's long history of accidentally spoiling so many Marvel movies, but Mark one-upped Tom by literally spoiling 'Thor: Ragnarok' by being on Instagram Live during its premiere. Oh, Mark. (yes, this will be a phrase that's repeated throughout) And how can we forget the time, when during an interview, Mark said this about 'Avengers: Infinity War' - “Wait till you see the next one, everybody dies.” Oh, Mark. Don Cheadle's face says it all. The best thing about Mark, though, is that he at least he tries to cover up his mistakes and that's what he tried to this time as well. But, since he doesn't think before speaking about multimillion-dollar movies, he obviously doesn't think before tweeting about it as well. .@JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was “off the record” homey. Please don't get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M — Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) October 5, 2018 Yes, tweeting about your goof-up for the world to see, especially the people who can fire you. Oh, Mark. Apparently, this is the clip in question. I LOVE YOU @MarkRuffalo WITH OR WITHOUT SPOILERS #FallonTonight pic.twitter.com/ZSkPJfdp2v — ale ︽âµï¸½ (@bannerscaptain) October 6, 2018 Jimmy Fallon also decided to keep the joke going and replied with this. Dude, it's too late - already sent the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure you're gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. What is “DM”? https://t.co/GMds1hGO8X — jimmy fallon (@jimmyfallon) October 5, 2018 But, it was too late. The Russo brothers got to know about it before Mark could fix it, and well, now you know the reason if The Hulk does not show up in the next Avengers movie. Mark, you're fired. — Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) October 6, 2018 I have one question – (Don't come at me with 'it's a joke', I know that already, thank you) Oh, Mark. Guys... can we talk about this? https://t.co/PYe56UiUgO — Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) October 7, 2018 Now, I just can't wait for Mark Ruffalo to accidentally reveal the title of the movie. Do it already, man, we're all waiting, we know you want to!
  25. The NBA belongs to the USA but its popularity is pretty big across the globe. Be it Asia, Africa or Europe, basketball's popularity has only gone up thanks to the reach of the league. So, it's hardly a surprise that international players have come up through the ranks and distinguished themselves at the top level. The NBA has had its own share of big international names, some of whom have carved out their own legacy. Not only did they stand toe to toe with their American counterparts, but also made the home fans accept them as their own. © Getty So who are these guys? Here's a look at five such individuals who have left their legacy in the world's biggest basketball league: 1. Dirk Nowitzki © Getty Hailing from Germany, this giant has been around for a while. Since 1998 till date, the man has been representing the Dallas Mavericks with distinction. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the season in 2007 and was also the NBA champion in 2011. Blessed with speed and reach, he continues to be a lethal force on the court and the fans love him for it. 2. Yao Ming © Getty Standing at 7 feet and 6 inches tall, the man from China represented the Houston Rockets between 2002 and 2011. He has also been a part of the All-Star team on eight occasions, which is a great achievement in itself. Yao had an average of 19 points per game in a career that saw him accumulate 9247 points. With 4494 rebounds and 920 blocks, he was Asia's pride in the NBA and had a distinguished career. 3. Steve Nash © Getty A point guard, this Canadian player has represented the Phoenix Suns, the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers in a career spanning over two decades (from 1996 to 2015). Born in South Africa, Steve came to Canada as a toddler and that's where his basketball career really took off. Part of the All-Star team on 8 occasions, Steve had 17,387 points to his credit and had the most assists in as many as 5 seasons. 4. Manu Ginobili © Getty The Argentine was a part of the San Antonio Spurs from 2002 to 2018. He won 4 championships with them and was also a part of the All-Star team in 2005 & 2011. He became one of the only two players to have won a EuroLeague title, an NBA championship, and a gold medal at the 2004 Olympics. Clearly a man of records, he played his entire career for the Spurs. Manu Ginobili, along with his teammates Tim Duncan and Tony Parker were famously known as the “Big Three”. 5. Pau Gasol © Getty Since 2001, the Spaniard has been a part of Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls. Since 2016, he's associated with San Antonio Spurs. In 2009 and 2010 he was the NBA champion with LA Lakers and also a 6-time NBA All-Star. The man was named Rookie of the Year in 2002, becoming the first non-American player to win the prestigious award. His longest stint was with the Grizzlies from 2001 to 2008. His older brother Marc Gasol is also in the NBA. These guys were so good in their game that when we look back on their careers, the fact that they were international players never occurs to us. Not that it would matter, but in all fairness, they are just as a much part of the NBA as the American players. In fact, having them has made the NBA even more interesting to watch and for that, we are deeply grateful to them.
