In today's news of bizarre events, life came full circle for a thief. So when someone plans on robbing or stealing something, one might assume they are aware of what they want. A thief in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh actually ended up getting a cardiac arrest after finding out the amount of money he had stolen! Yes, you read that right. The thief in question and his mate broke into a public service centre with the hope of stealing an estimated cash and valuables amounting to Rs 7 lakh, according to their own calculation. The idea was to divide the sum and valuables equally amongst themselves. © Pexels Little did the guys know that on calculating the amount which came their way, one of them sadly ended up getting a cardiac arrest because he was overturned with joy on seeing so much money! “The accused are habitual offenders and have several cases registered against them at different police stations. They confessed to have committed a robbery at the public service centre and fled with Rs 7 lakh cash and other valuables kept in an almirah," TOI quoted the Bijnor superintendent of police explaining this. Sadly, the thief in question here ended up spending a chunk of that stolen money on his own treatment at a hospital before being caught by the police. The other guy ended up spending a large chunk of money on betting in Delhi, according to the police. Is this what one means when you say ‘khushi se pagal hona’? While the dude is alive and has been booked under the law for his crime, one cannot help but wonder how lucky he was to survive the attack in the first place.
