  1. Ever since Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt started dating, fans have been waiting for a wedding announcement from the couple. Every media interaction or Q&A session they have, they are asked the same question, ‘shaadi kab kar rahe ho?’ just like all desi kids are asked by their relatives. In fact, a few days ago, Ranbir broke the silence and said he and Alia do intend to marry soon but he won’t tell the date in a press interview. Fair enough! © Instagram/Dharma Productions After much speculation and wait, the couple have finally decided to get hitched and it was sooner than we could have imagined. According to an exclusive by Pinkvilla the couple will be finally tying the knot in the second week of April. Originally, it was later in the month but they had to prepone due to the deteriorating health of Alia’s grandfather Narendra Nath Razdan. The Bhatt family wanted the couple to get married as soon as possible. © Instagram/Alia Bhatt Rumour has it that Alia & Ranbir won’t be flying out to an exotic wedding destination but will have their nuptials in Mumbai, in Kapoor’s ancestral home, RK House, where Ranbir’s parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor also got married in the 80s. © Twitter There will be 450 guests in attendance including families and friends of both stars from the film industry and otherwise. The guests have been sent the invites and asked to keep the second week of April clear for the wedding festivities. © Instagram/Alia Bhatt The couple is all set to release their first movie together as well. They will be seen together in Brahmastra for the first time, for which they have been shooting for five years. The couple started dating during the shoot of the film. View the full article
  2. It isn’t easy to make it in Bollywood and there’s no rulebook to tell you what would and would not work for you. Sometimes, it’s the most random thing that actors have confessed to being rejected for. Actor-turned-model Dino Morea who has been in the industry for over two decades can vouch for it because according to him, it was his ‘good looks’ that worked against him. © Instagram/Dino Morea He said that the casting people used his ‘looks’ as an excuse for not casting him in a film. “It takes guts to see me differently. Some casting directors come up with the excuse and they don’t see me differently. I just get the feedback from some that you are good looking,” he said in a recent interview with Hindustan Times. © Instagram/Dino Morea He thinks he has been underutilised as an actor because people couldn’t see beyond his looks. “I find it very bizarre, what’s my look got to do with casting me in a certain character. Just cast me. I can change my look. People just never saw me beyond my looks. Being good looking sometimes works against you in Bollywood,” he added. © Instagram/Dino Morea He started his career as a model and TV actor before getting a break in 1999. After working in films for over 10 years and realising his career was going downhill, he took a sabbatical only to return as a web series actor in 2020. His latest one The Empire shows him as an antagonist and his work is being lauded by fans and critics alike. © Instagram/Dino Morea “With this show, I proved that I can do stuff, so watch me. Now people are taking note and thanks to the people who are taking risks with casting. At this point, I don’t think I need to prove to anyone that I can act. There are many people who have called from the fraternity and said how good I was. I got good feedback. The directors are seeing me in a different light, not just the good looking, guy next door, who can only pull off certain kinds of roles,” said Morea. © Instagram/Dino Morea It’s strange that the industry, where the basic requirement is glamour and good looks, rejects actors on the basis of the same thing. 3. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have all retained their spot in the top category (A+ Grade) as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its new central contract list. © Reuters This year there were more demotions than promotions as BCCI handed the central contract to 27 players across four categories. Test veterans Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma, who were placed in Grade A till last year, have now been demoted to Grade B. © Reuters This comes after they were dropped from the Test squad for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka and were asked to play Ranji Trophy by the selection committee. Veteran wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha, who recently breached the central contract clause by revealing the private conversations he had with the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and head coach Rahul Dravid, has still managed to retain his contract, albeit with a demotion to Grade C from B. © Reuters The players who suffered the biggest loss were all-rounder Hardik Pandya and veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan. Both of them were placed in Grade A but have now been demoted to Grade C. In monetary terms, their last contract earned them Rs 5 crore annually but now they will only be getting Rs 1 crore Last year, the central contract was given to 28 players but this year it has been reduced to 27. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav and pacer Navdeep Saini have been dropped from the contract list. © Reuters However, the fans of the Indian cricket team were not upset with these demotions but the lack of transparency in the selection process. Players who are a crucial part of the Men In Blue all three formats are generally placed in the top most category i.e., Grade A. Till last year, one could understand why the BCCI placed only three players Kohli, Rohit and Bumrah in the topmost bracket as others were not sure of a place in one format or the other. But now this list also includes the likes of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja but the board placed them in Grade A. © Reuters In the last 12 months, Rahul, Pant and Jadeja have all taken their game to the next level and contributed immensely to the team’s success across all formats. Before this central contract list was announced, there were reports suggesting that the BCCI will reward Rahul and Pant with A+ contract but since this official announcement has left the fans fuming. Pissed with the BCCI for doing grave injustice to three key members of the Indian team, the fans took to the micro-blogging site and bashed the Indian board for not giving the player what they deserved. All of them are getting 10+ crore in IPL so no one cares about it — Professor samuel oak (@prof_oak123) March 2, 2022Even jadeja is, that doesn't gurantee them A. — Kullu Kaali (@SirKohli__) March 2, 2022Jadeja and KL should be in the A+ category imo. Not as big names as Kohli/Rohit, but both are near essential in the team in all 3 formats. That should be the yardstick of contract selection — asdf (@Saniul_) March 2, 2022The sole purpose of creating A+ Grade was to reward handsomely the players who play all three formats for the Indian team. In the last year or so, Rahul, Pant and Jadeja have been as important a part of the Indian team as the three players who are in the top category and they definitely deserved a place alongside them. Here’s the full contract list: Grade A+: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah Grade A: Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, and Rishabh Pant Grade B: Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma. Grade C: Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Deepak chahar, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, Yuzvendra Chahal, Wriddhiman Saha, Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Agarwal Dropped: Kuldeep Yadav and Navdeep Saini View the full article
  4. It may have started with fashion trends and moved up to health and fitness, but in today’s time, Bollywood does more than just normalize and promote a flashy lifestyle anymore. Yes, there was a time when all people would pick from celebrities were dialogues or their wardrobe choices, but things have changed now. And for the better, too. © Anushka Sharma Celebrities have now begun to normalize taboo subjects like men taking paternity leave to tend to their newborn child and the ones who kickstarted the trend here were celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. © Parag Agarwal Turns out, they’re not alone in it either, for following their lead is Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal who has also recently announced that he will be taking 'weeks long' paternal leave to welcome his second child. A decision that was fully supported by actress Anushka Sharma, who herself along with husband Virat Kohli, has faced the brunt of society stereotyping men into not taking paternity leaves. Anushka urged the importance of normalising men having emotions and doing what they feel is right, without the fear of being judged and going against the norms of society. © Anushka Sharma Taking to her Instagram handle, Anushka Sharma posted a snippet of Parag Agrawal’s news only to write in the caption, ‘About time this is normalised!" And boy do we agree! Thank you @paraga for leading by example and taking paternity leave. I wish leaders did this when I was early in my career and becoming a father. We have 7500 people @twitter who have your back! https://t.co/MzDEtwCxOL — Ned Segal (@nedsegal) February 16, 2022 And not just Anushka Sharma, a lot of other fellow dads too jumped on the bandwagon to hail Parag’s decision. Ned Segal, Twitter’s chief financial officer wrote, “Thank you @paraga for leading by example and taking paternity leave. I wish leaders did this when I was early in my career and becoming a father. We have 7500 people @twitter who have your back!” Brenden Lee of Twitter’s corporate communications department also wrote, “Proud that Twitter and our CEO Parag Agrawal are leading the way here, ensuring ALL parents are able to take advantage of this most special time for their families.” Even though Virat Kohli, at the time of taking his paternity leave, received a lot of flak from trolls. , it is heartening to see so many people support Parag’s choice of taking a few weeks off. 5. Kartik Aaryan has come a long way in his cinematic career. He has made his presence felt with his performances in the recent past. He, just like any other outsider looking for his place in the industry, has followed the conventional path and moved to Mumbai to pursue his dreams of acting. It wasn’t an overnight success as Kartik had to face countless rejections, stay in rented accommodations with other flatmates and the likes during his days of struggle. View this post on InstagramWith success came his crazy fan following and for his fans, meeting their favorite actor has been a dream come true. Just the day before yesterday, his two female die-hard fans were spotted outside his building screaming his name at the top of their voices. The video of the same has been shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani. In the video, they can be heard screaming, “Kartik please come…. please please please.” Sharing the video, Viral wrote, “Two fangirls consistently scream @kartikaaryan's name under his building to catch a glimpse of the actor! #KartikAarayan.” Here’s the video: View this post on Instagram Later on, Kartik obliged them and clicked selfies with them. Yesterday night, a male fan reached out to Kartik outside his football playground proving that the actor even has male fan-following. The fan inked himself and in the video, you can see the fan got Kartik’s face tattooed on his chest. Here’s the video: View this post on Instagram People are pissed with such attention seeking fans and are bashing him for doing this worthless act. People are also pointing out the fact that the actor didn’t like the tattoo. A few even said that it’s a bad PR strategy and Aaryan shouldn’t indulge in more of such fan activities. Here are the reactions: © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram Talking about his perception of stardom, he told MensXP, “I enjoy doing normal stuff in all those starry moments as well. It’s never really hit my head. For me, it’s a profession. I try to excel in my field, do my job well and that’s exactly how I perceive it.” He also added, “I am in a happy space. It’s been a journey of ups and downs, but I am glad I have seen failures and success at their own time. You know my life is not a flight that suddenly took off, my graph is like a mountain. I want to sustain it for as long as I can so when I look back, I have no regrets. Ever since things have started rolling for me, I am in a very happy space, all that struggle was totally worth it. It makes me proud and humbled at the same time.” Kartik is surely winning hearts with his performances and plans to continue entertaining his fans with his acts. View the full article
  6. Ever since the BCCI sacked Virat Kohli from ODI captaincy and appointed Rohit Sharma as his successor it has created a huge uproar on social media, invoking mixed reactions from fans and experts alike. The ‘Hitman’ supporters are delighted with the news whereas Kohli fans are still finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact that they won’t be seeing Kohli leading India in the white-ball cricket ever again and that includes Indian Test skipper’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma. © Twitter ICC Sharma, who played a key role in Kohli realising his dream of becoming an international cricketer, has slammed the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly’s statement about his favourite student where he claimed that he had asked Kohli not to give up T20 captaincy ahead of the T20 World Cup in the UAE. After facing severe backlash from Kohli’s massive fanbase on social media, the former India skipper has come forward to defend the selectors and their decision to appoint Rohit as new ODI skipper. © Twitter ICC The BCCI chief has also indirectly blamed Kohli for his own sacking saying that he would have kept his position had he taken his advice and not relinquished the T20 captaincy. But Kohli’s childhood coach has rubbished Ganguly’s statement saying he never heard anything like that and his comments came as a “surprise” to him. © Twitter Virat Kohli “I read Sourav Ganguly's comments recently that he had asked Kohli to not step down from T20I captaincy (before the World Cup). I don't recall anything like that. This statement came as a surprise to me. There are different statements circulating around,” Sharma said on Khelneeti podcast. Not just Ganguly, Sharma even ripped into the selectors and the team management for the lack of transparency and not providing any clarifications for their decisions. Virat Kohli's childhood coach said, "the selection committee doesn't provide a reason behind the decision. We don't know what the management, BCCI or selectors want. There's no clarification, it's pity how this happened. Virat has been successful ODI captain". (On Khelneeti). — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) December 11, 2021 “The selection committee doesn't provide a reason behind the decision. We don't know what the management or the BCCI or the selectors want. There's no clarification, no transparency at all. It's a pity how this has happened. He has been such a successful one-day captain,” he added. Kohli shares a great bond with his childhood coach and always reaches out to him to discuss his game. But ever since the BCCI made this announcement, the 33-year-old talisman has shut himself off from the outside world by switching off his cellphone. © Twitter Virat Kohli “I haven't talked to him (Virat Kohli) yet. His phone is switched off for some reason. But as far as my opinion is concerned, he had specifically stepped down from T20 captaincy and the selectors should've straightaway asked him to step down from both the white-ball formats, or not step down at all,” said the 56-year-old. Ever since the BCCI stripped him of ODI captaincy, Kohli hasn’t said anything and it will be interesting to see how he greets Rohit when they come face to face before leaving for the South Africa tour. 7. The much-awaited official teaser of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Prithviraj was released on November 15. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, and Sonu Sood. Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will be making her Bollywood debut with the film. Akshay Kumar plays the role of King Prithviraj Chauhan, while Manushi will be seen in the role of his wife Sanyogita. View this post on Instagram Talking about the teaser, Akshay said, “The teaser of Prithviraj captures the soul of the film, the essence of the life of the legendary warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who knew no fear. This is our tribute to his heroism and his life. The more I read about him, the more I was awed by how he lived and breathed every single second of his glorious life for his country and his values.” Elaborating about his character, he went on to add, “He is a legend, he is one of the bravest warriors and he is one of the most upright kings that our country has ever seen. We hope that Indians worldwide love our salute to this mighty braveheart. We have tried to present his life story in the most authentic way possible and the film is a homage to his unmatched bravery and courage.” Here’s the teaser: The teaser has been in the headlines for the wrong reasons as people didn’t approve of the fact that a 54 years old Akshay is romancing 30 years younger Manushi. It is a very common sight to see older Bollywood actors romancing young actresses, who are almost half their age. It’s 2021, and it's about time that this issue with Bollywood is also addressed. People are not okay with this cast and have been slamming Akshay Kumar and the makers for carrying a stereotype forward. Here are the reactions: © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter However, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. 52-year-old Akshay Kumar romanced 29-year-old Kriti Sanon in Housefull 4. 8. India's slimmest hope of reaching the semi-finals of the ongoing T20 World Cup was shattered when Kane Williamson’s New Zealand registered a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Afghanistan in their last group match. Virat Kohli’s men were officially knocked out of the tournament with one match left, which they’ll play later today against Namibia at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. © Twitter ICC As soon as India lost their opening two matches against Pakistan and New Zealand, everybody knew that the road ahead would be pretty difficult. Still, after the Men In Blue registered two consecutive wins over Afghanistan and Scotland, it made Indian supporters optimistic, and they started praying for the Afghans to beat the Kiwis. 2015 ODI WC - Final. 2016 T20 WC - Semi-Final. 2019 ODI WC - Final. 2021 WTC - Champions. 2021 T20 WC - Qualified into Semi-Final. Remarkable consistency by New Zealand, fight fight fight hard in ICC tournaments, well lead by Kane Williamson and he stand tall in big stages. — Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) November 7, 2021 But the Black Caps showed why they have been one of the most consistent teams when it comes to ICC events in the last five-six years. It is perhaps not the kind of end you guys would have preferred, but @RaviShastriOfc #BharatArun & @coach_rsridhar can look back at your tenure with pride and lot of satisfaction. Well done to all of you. Good luck in your future endeavours.. — WV Raman (@wvraman) November 7, 2021 With India set to bid adieu to the tournament on Monday, it will be the end of an era as skipper Virat Kohli will be leading the side for the last time in the shortest format. Not just that, even the coaching staff, including head Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun, batting coach Vikram Rathour and fielding coach R Sridhar, are all set to part ways with the national team. India had come into the tournament as one of the favourites to go all the way but they once again fell short, like they have in the last few ICC events. © Twitter ICC Asked about what the possible reason could be for the team’s below-par performance, bowling coach Arun, while saying that he wasn’t trying to give an excuse, did actually give an excuse when he indicated that the result could have been different had they batted second in those two games that they lost. Bharat Arun: ' The toss at this World Cup gives very undue advantage' #T20WorldCup pic.twitter.com/eG93wjOdDf — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) November 7, 2021 “Toss played a very, very vital role and I believe in these kind(s) of matches, toss shouldn’t be of any consequence. Here (the) toss gives unfair advantage and there is a huge change in batting in the first innings and batting in the second innings. That shouldn’t be the case in short format like this,” Arun said at the pre-match conference on the eve of the Namibia match. : B. Arun reflects on the learnings and journey as #TeamIndia Bowling Coach. #T20WorldCup pic.twitter.com/F3tk0u3wUM — BCCI (@BCCI) November 7, 2021 While some might agree with Arun’s analogy, veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh felt it was a mere excuse to hide the fact that Indian batters batted poorly in the two matches and that’s why they ended up losing the match. View this post on Instagram Giving the example of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who recently won their fourth Indian Premier League Trophy (IPL) while batting first in the final, Bhajji argued that toss is not something that we can control and a team should be ready for any eventuality going into a big tournament like the T20 World Cup. “I heard Bharat Arun saying that had India won the toss, they could have done this and done that. All that is up for a later discussion. If you had thought that you wanted to bowl first or bat first, well… didn't Chennai Super Kings win the IPL after batting first? They did score 190, so you have to make runs. Let us accept the fact that we didn't play (as) well as we should have and we did not live up to expectations,” Harbhajan said on Sports Tak. “It's easy. There is no if and but involved, things like 'if we had won the toss, we would have won the match as well'. It doesn't work that way. There are teams who did not win the toss but ended up winning the match. Such things are said by teams who aren't as developed. But India are a strong unit, a champion unit," he added. © Reuters “If coaches give such excuses, it's really wrong. Let us admit we did not play well, which can happen. Not a problem, but going forward, it should be a learning that we should not give out such statements and try to play better,” said the veteran spinner who was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders outfit that reached the IPL 2021 final. Like ‘The Turbunator’ said, for a champion team like India, blaming toss for their loss gives the impression that the players and the support staff are running away from their job and it is not something that suits them. © Twitter BCCI If at all, it was an opportunity for the players to show the whole world how strong a team they are that they don’t rely on external factors to win games of cricket but sadly they failed. Instead of giving an excuse, he should’ve acknowledged that our batting unit failed to put enough runs on the board while the other team played better cricket than us and deserved to win. It’s after long that we are seeing a trailer that’s perfectly edited. Here’s the trailer: The trailer keeps you at the edge of your seat and looks really promising. Vicky is seen as Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O' Dwyer, former lieutenant governor of Punjab, to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919. In the trailer, you will see Vicky in various avatars, proving again that he is one of the most versatile actors we have in Bollywood. People have also given it a big thumbs up and have already declared that Vicky deserves a National Award for this role. They have also appreciated the cinematography and how the trailer does justice to all the hype around the film. © YouTube/Amazon Prime Video © YouTube/Amazon Prime Video © YouTube/Amazon Prime Video Here's the official synopsis: The film, Sardar Udham, is the story of Sardar Udham Singh, a gallant and patriotic man who fought selflessly and courageously against the British subjugation of India. It represents strength, pain, passion, extraordinary courage and sacrifice, and many such values that I have tried to do justice through my character in the film. The role called for a lot of physical, and even more mental preparation to get into Udham Singh’s shoes and bring to life the story of a man whose heroism and grit stand unmatched.” The movie also stars Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Banita Sandhu, and Kirsty Averton in pivotal roles and Amol Parashar in a special appearance. 10. The Empire revolves around the story of a young boy, Babur, who inherits the kingdom of Ferghana in modern-day Uzbekistan. Babur's character is shown over a span of 25 years on the show and Kunal Kapoor plays both the younger and older versions of him. After the trailer of The Empire was dropped online, people couldn’t help but compare it with Game Of Thrones as they felt the director has taken inspiration from the popular show. The Empire boasts of an ensemble cast, which also includes Shabana Azmi, Drashti Dhami, Aditya Seal, and Dino Morea. People went on to say that even the costumes and even a few scenes have been copied from Game Of Thrones. Kunal who is playing one of the leads found this comparison very tragic. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he said, “I think these are unnecessary comparisons. Comparisons will be made and it is tragic that it is Game Of Thrones because it is a fantastic show. Whenever you do a period drama like that it will be compared to something.” View this post on Instagram He went on to add, “Some will say it is like Padmaavat, Bajirao or Game Of Thrones, but it is a different story, it’s a different world, different characters different people. If people are comparing the scale (to GOT) then great, it’s wonderful, but I don’t think there is any other commonality between that show and this show.” View this post on Instagram In one of the earlier interviews, he had shed light on how he prepared for the role of Babur. He had said, “What was very interesting about the character was that he is physically strong but at the same time very emotional. He becomes the King eventually, but he always has this self-doubt of whether he deserves it. My character is depicted over a span of 25 years on the show. So, I had to play Babur at different ages. Young Babur was spontaneous, older Babur, on the other hand, would think a lot before making a decision. So, I had to balance both the acts." People also want to boycott the show as they feel the makers have glorified the Mughals. Have you watched the show or are you planning to? Let us know in the comments section below. Something similar had happened during the Lord’s Test, where KL Rahul was hit with champagne corks after he had scored a century in the first innings. As the hosts dominated the play on Day 1 of the Leeds Test, a certain section of English supporters went overboard with their celebrations and lost all their sanity. © Twitter Not happy with his players getting this kind of treatment, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was clearly miffed with this particular incident and his anger was evident on the field. After the opening day’s play, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was asked why was Kohli annoyed and reacted the way he did. “I think somebody threw a ball inside at (Mohammed) Siraj, so he (Kohli) was upset. You can say whatever you want to chant, but don't throw things at the fielders and all those things. It is not good for cricket,” Pant said at the press conference after stumps on Day 1. View this post on Instagram The Indian supporters weren’t happy with the way their batters performed as they folded for 78 runs -- one of the lowest totals in Test cricket. More than the pitch, they criticised the techniques of Indian players as most of them looked in some kind of hurry and gifted their wickets trying to play away from their body. That said, Indian fans showed solidarity with their players and condemned the incident with Siraj. Not just that, they also demanded match officials to take action against those “so-called fans” who do the game more damage than good. English crowd has always been rowdy. They have let sports down, cricket or football. 12. The way Virat Kohli led the Indian team and guided them to victory at Lord’s might have earned him plaudits from all quarters but it didn’t help his cause in the ICC Test rankings for batsmen, where he is currently at the fifth spot. Not long ago, Kohli was at the second spot but his lean patch has extended far longer than many of us expected it to last and he has now slipped down to the fifth position. © Reuters Like you and me, Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma was equally shocked when he came to know about his student’s drop in rankings, which is led by New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and followed by England captain Joe Root and Australian duo of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne respectively. “It is shocking news for me that Virat Kohli has fallen to the fifth spot. I was expecting that Joe Root would have probably gone ahead of him. I will definitely talk to him,” Sharma said on India News Sports. Despite his bat being quiet for some time, Kohli has always insisted that he has never played for personal accolades. The most important thing for him continues to be the team’s success, whether he scores a century or not. The way India defeated England at Lord’s would have helped Kohli’s confidence a great deal and given the whole team a belief that they could win the series. Sharma feels his student doesn’t need any extra motivation and it’s only a matter of time that he scores a big hundred. © Reuters “I don’t feel there is any need to motivate him because he is extremely motivated. When I had spoken to him after the last match as well, he was quite excited and was happy that they had won and was not too worried about his runs. When he has such an attitude, a big hundred is about to come,” he added. While Kohli has struggled to score even a half-century, his counterpart Joe Root has dominated the series thus far, scoring two centuries in the first two games. Sharma, who knows Kohli inside out, feels he would take it as a challenge and would do everything possible to settle the scores in the remaining matches. “I would say it is a challenge for Virat to chase Joe Root. I have full hope because I have known Virat from his childhood, he loves challenges. So, it is a good challenge and we will see a good contest in the upcoming matches,” he added. © Reuters Despite Root piling on runs, England have paid the price for their over-reliance on their skipper whereas the visitors have proved to be the better side because a number of players have performed at different stages and bailed the team out of trouble. So, in a way, the Indian team would not be too concerned about Kohli’s individual performance. But, as fans, we would definitely love to see our talisman get among the runs and dominate English bowlers like the way he did in 2018. View the full article
  13. 10-year-old Chhattisgarh boy, Sahdev Dirdo, rose to fame overnight after a video of him singing the Bachpan ka Pyaar song went viral. He has been in the limelight for the past few days and his song has become one of the most popular Instagram reels wherein even celebs have participated in making videos on the song. His popularity made Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitate him and even those pictures went viral. Sahdev Dirdo was recently also featured in the official video of Bachpan Ka Pyaar with rapper Badshah and Aastha Gill. Soon after the song was released, people started bashing him for being a bad singer and even went on to question how he became so popular despite his voice. Singer-music composer Vishal Dadlani has come to Sahdev’s rescue and has blasted those people who have been speaking ill about the boy. In a video shared by Vishal on Instagram, he said, “Over the last few days I have seen a lot [of] video that ‘this kid should have been more famous, how well he sings. Why is that Bachpan Ka Pyar boy getting so much fame?’ What I want to say is that both of them are kids. Is it necessary to compare them? One might sing very well, other less so. But one’s song got really popular. Does that mean we have to put one guy down to pull the other one up?” View this post on Instagram He continued, “It’s a f*ked up mentality. It really is. Can’t they both be good? In their own ways. One entertained us a lot, the other is very talented. Can’t it be so? The f*k kind of world are you people living in? It’s just a kid. Usko neecha dikhake aap log kya karre ho? What are you achieving? Don’t do that man. It’s not nice.” We completely agree with Vishal’s thoughts on this. What do you think of his take on the situation? Let us know in the comments below. View the full article
