We know that certain sneakers go up in value exponentially once they go out of stock from the retailer. © Instagram/vivianakadivine We have seen Ranbir Kapoor wear quite a few pairs of sneakers which originally retailed for about Rs 20,000, but now, go for as high as Rs 2.6 Lakhs. © Viral Bhayani Well, Indian rapper Divine recently wore a pair of sneakers that underwent a somewhat similar price increase. Divine was recently spotted at the Mumbai Airport in a rather dope-looking outfit, all blinged up to the T. We have always maintained, that Divine is one of the best-dressed rappers and Hip-Hop artists in India, and he continues to prove us right. © Viral Bhayani Taking a look at the outfit, we see that Divine is wearing a rather dope looking, basic black T-shirt from Burberry. Along with that, he has a really nice track jacket from Adidas. © Viral Bhayani As for bling, there is that dope looking Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, in 41mm that we had covered earlier. The timepiece truly is a blissful piece for horologists and fans of watches all over the world. © Viral Bhayani We also can’t miss the rather dope looking belt bag, and that equally dope looking backpack, both from Gucci. While the belt bag retails for about $920, or Rs 68,000, before import duties and taxes, it is his bag that comes with an awe-inducing pricetag. © Gucci The backpack that we see Divine carrying, is called the GG Black Backpack, and it retails for $1,920, or just over Rs 1.45 Lakhs. Add to that your regular import & customs duties and you’re looking at a price tag of over Rs 2.2 Lakhs. © Viral Bhayani That is not the statement piece of the outfit though. They have to be the Air Jordan 1s that Divine is wearing here. © Viral Bhayani Also called the Jordan 1 Retro High Fearless UNC Chicago, these Jordans stand out from the rest because of the manner in which it combines two zany-looking colours, together. © Nike The sneakers are made of patent appliques of red, white and blue, which give it a rather distinct aesthetic. © Hypebeast Up until 2019, when they were new, these Air Jordan 1 Fearless would retail for $160, or roughly Rs 12,000. Now though, they are sold on the second-hand market for as high as $550, as per a number of sneaker trading websites. © Hypebeast That’s about Rs 45,000, in just a span of 2 years. Forget Gamestocks and everything, we ought to be investing in sneakers, it seems. © Viral Bhayani Coming back to Divine’s outfit, we have to say that well, it is divine (sorry for the pun)! The man has great taste when it comes to fashion. View the full article

We have often said that if you play your cards right, and know what you’re doing, you can actually invest in sneakers and make good money. Well, Rannvijay Singha seems to have cracked the code for it. © Viral Bhayani Rannvijay is one of India’s most underrated sneakerheads in India. Unlike most sneaker collectors that we see in tinsel town, he actually knows what sets certain sneaker collections apart from the others. In short, he knows his Jordan 4s from his Jordan 7s. © Viral Bhayani Recently, he was spotted wearing a rather dope pair of sneakers, ones that were inspired by Bruce Lee, and boy can we say, he would have been proud to have such a pair dedicated to him. © Viral Bhayani They even had the famous, “Bruce Lee Scar” - that 4 striped-scars that he made famous, in his immortal fight sequences. © Warner Bros. These sneakers are from the collaboration between Nike & Kyrie Irving, the latest athlete in NBA history who have a collaboration with sportswear maker. The sneakers in question are called the Nike Kyrie 6 “Bruce Lee” in Comet Red. Although the sneakers are basically a red and black pair, it is the orange stripes that make them so interesting and appealing. © Nike These sneakers were launched as a limited edition drop, barely a few weeks ago. Naturally, the sneakers flew off the shelves like hot cake and soon were rendered out of stock. The sneakers were launched at a price of $140 or roughly 10,000. © Nike A few weeks later, they are selling for about $780 as per StockX, a sneaker reselling and trading website. That is roughly 6 times the original price. That converts to nearly Rs 60,000. © Viral Bhayani Limited edition sneakers have been known to jump up exorbitantly high in price, in the past. Ranbir Kapoor, for example, was recently spotted wearing a pair of sneakers, that initially sold for about Rs 14,000, but today has a resale value of over Rs 2.6 Lakhs. © Viral Bhayani We know that Rannvijay is a purist, and given his vast and mesmerising collection, he isn’t going to flip them. Nevertheless, he does know how to pick his sneakers. View the full article
