Sunil Gavaskar, the legendary former Indian cricket captain has once again argued that the uncapped Indian cricketers’ salary in IPL should be capped at a maximum of Rs 1 Crore. The former skipper feels that the easy money may spoil the budding talents and prevent them from enhancing their hunger for performing better. Just two days prior to the 2022 IPL Mega Auction, Gavaskar wrote for Mid-Day that “The mega auction will happen over the weekend and some of our Under – 19 boys could become crorepatis in a few blinks of the eye. Doing well at the Under – 19 level doesn’t guarantee success at the IPL or even international level as has been seen over the years. The difference in standards is huge”. IPL Retentions:- @SunRisers retained #UmranMalik and @ABDULSAMAD___1 for 4 crore each along with #KaneWilliamson Proud moment for #JKCA and #Jammu@MithunManhas @slathia_roopali @BrigadierAnil @surabhi_ma @VikramadityaSum @factual_dogra @dograjournalist @Drsahil19 @drpwndutta pic.twitter.com/KQ7kV2qMqH — Rijul (@RijulJK) November 30, 2021 The Little Master further mentions – “Far too many get carried away and lose focus and are out of the game or seek the mirage of greener – looking pastures. The fair thing would be to put a limit of say Rs 1 Crore for uncapped players so that they know that to go further and earn more they have a lot of hard work ahead. Easy money has spoilt many a promising talent”. Now let’s have a look at the actual scenario. Out of a total of 590 players available for the auction, 355 are uncapped ones. All of them will not get sold. The franchisees have become smarter and are being advised by experts and former great players. They very well know who to buy. That was evident from the fact that the Mumbai Indians waited for more than half the day to make their first buy as they knew that they wanted Ishan Kishan. So, gone are the days when the players used to get sold based on just a couple of past performances. I’m coming home @mipaltan pic.twitter.com/PBDAxPfZD7 — Ishan Kishan (@ishankishan51) February 12, 2022 On the other hand, look at the players like Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sunder, Gaikwad or Padikkal. They all proved their worth without being capped. They all had the required talent and they showed it in Australia when they received their caps during a crisis situation. They performed when the team was down and out. Hence, a really talented player will always be hungrier for performance than the money. They would know that the money will flow if they just focus on their game. Of course, most of the uncapped young cricketers will perish very soon. But the fact is that only the fittest survive in this cutthroat competition. Dreams do come true, Dewald! Welcome to #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians #AalaRe #IPLAuction pic.twitter.com/4e5ksQKSBw — Mumbai Indians (@mipaltan) February 13, 2022 Furthermore, many young cricketers who have dreamt to being picked during IPL auctions have previously seen other young cricketers get picked for crores of rupees even though they haven’t played in a single international cricket game. Most of these young talents strive hard, their parents spend every last penny of their savings in the quest of watching their kid succeed at the biggest stage that the Indian cricket board has to offer without getting picked in the Indian 15-man squad. Let’s say the IPL does decide to put a cap on the U19 players that can’t make more than Rs. 1 crore. Will it be fair to them and their parents who have sacrificed practically their whole entire being just to see a couple of placards being raised on television when their son’s name gets called out by the auctioneer? Let’s not put a cap on the earning potential of a talented player only because he is uncapped. View the full article

While the Indian cricket team managed to put up a big second innings score of 466 against England at The Oval cricket ground behind Rohit Sharma’s 127-run performance, it was the captain, Virat Kohli, who was visibly frustrated with himself when he slammed a wall in the Indian dressing room after his dismissal. Hard to see like this #viratkohli pic.twitter.com/YjUcTioTuh — Sai (@NaniThopella) September 5, 2021 Despite the fact that Kohli had a decent innings of 44 runs and even entered the top-5 high scorers of the innings on Day 4, it was the manner in which he ended up giving his wicket that may have caused such a reaction out of him. For the sixth time in the seven innings he has batted in during the series, Virat Kohli lost his wicket to a ball pitching outside off which the batsman played loosely while nudging a thick edge before it landed in the hands of Craig Overton at slip. View this post on Instagram The only difference was that this time around, Kohli got out against a spinner in Moeen Ali as opposed to pacers like James Anderson and Ollie Robinson previously. After the cameraman caught the glimpse of Kohli showing his frustration off the field, it didn’t take long for the footage to appear online and it took even a shorter time for the viewers to turn into psychologists trying to analyse the reasons behind Kohli’s actions. Kohli had been trying hard. Unfortunately he didn't succeed in the earlier two attempts. But the slip fielder stood well for the spinner. — Mandir Wahi Banayenge (@gujjubevada) September 5, 2021 New normal for me. — Rahul (@Atoner_sharma) September 5, 2021 He is past his prime .. 2016 vk was something else. KiNg kOnG kOhLi uNo — Orj (@Orj07538131) September 5, 2021 The kind of pressure under which Virat Kohli has been playing is immense without a doubt. Especially when statistics like not being able to score a century in over 650 days continue to creep up and with critics breathing down his neck. Having said that, the fact that Kohli recently became the most successful Indian captain in the longest format of the game tells the story of how underappreciated his skills remain as a leader. Even on Day 4 of the ongoing match, decisions like sending Ravindra Jadeja at the fifth spot instead of Ajinkya Rahane ended up working in favour of the Men in Blue as Rishabh Pant and Shardul Thakur, both looked a lot more comfortable at the pitch and scored a half-ton each. Nonetheless, Kohli supporters and experts believe that the man is slowly inching towards retaining his form with the bat and the day isn’t far away when he will be raising his bat in the air to celebrate his 71st century. Study Shows ‘Too Much’ Oral Sex Can Lead To Cancer & We Are Now Disheartened
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
According to a recent study done by a team of researchers from Johns Hopkins University, too much oral *** can increase the chances of one getting mouth and throat cancer. Yes, we wish this wasn’t true but unfortunately it is true! The study shows a correlation between oral *** and human papillomavirus (HPV). © Unsplash The study was done on more than 500 people and it was based on their sexual activities. The behavioral study was done on the basis of points like a person’s age, the age when they had *** for the first time, and how many people they had oral *** within a short span of time. The study also suggested that if a subject had had over 10 oral *** partners then the chances of them getting HPV-related cancer is 4.3 times higher. Also, engaging in oral *** at a very young age and then having multiple partners in a short time period increases the risk of getting cancer. © Unsplash According to the study, it was also found that the subjects with older sexual partners at a young age are also at risk of getting cancer. This also applied to subjects who had extramarital ***. The study also pointed that participants who engage in oral *** before having coitus for the first time also put people at an increased risk of contracting HPV. This happens as contact through the genitals the first time sets the body to come up with a 'robust immune response.' View the full article -
Ravichandran Ashwin has given the Indian cricket team the much-needed start to the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, especially after the beating they took in Adelaide a week ago. Getting opener Matthew Wade’s wicket early on Day 1, Ashwin went on to get the most important Australian wicket of Steve Smith for a duck in the 15th over as he made him toss up a simple catch to Cheteshwar Pujara standing behind him. #AUSvsIND OUT! Ashwin strikes.. pic.twitter.com/IOO0AokOLr — Abhishek .(Abhi) (@Cold___Mess) December 26, 2020 He also removed Aussie skipper Tim Paine from the middle with a delivery similar to the one he used to dismiss Smith as this time, as it was Hanuma Vihari who caught the ball on the final ball of 63rd over. Having bowled more 23 overs Ashwin’s economy of 1.30 makes him the most efficient weapon for Rahane. Ashwin gives India the important wicket of Tim Paine as Australia lost their 7th wicket.
