Nushrratt Bharucha, who is basking in the success of her Amazon Prime Video film Chhorii, has several interesting projects in her kitty. After her latest release, Hurdang opposite Sunny Kaushal, the actress will be seen sharing screen space with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar in Ram Setu. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, it is among the most-anticipated movies of 2022 and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez. View this post on Instagram For the unversed, Nushrratt rose to fame after playing the lead role opposite Kartik Aaryan in Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama. The film was released in 2011 and turned out to be a sleeper hit. Before Pyaar Ka Punchnama, she had already featured in a few films but many people still think that she made her acting debut with Dibakar Banerjee's 2010 hit Love *** Aur Dhokha co-starring Rajkummar Rao. However, did you know that her first Bollywood film was released four years before LSD? Yes, you read that right! In fact, her debut movie went unnoticed and was a box office flop. Well, we are talking about the 2006 release Jai Santoshi Maa. Directed by Ahmed Siddiqui, the movie marked Nushhratt's entry into the filmdom and starred Raqesh Bapat as the hero opposite her. Watch a small clip from the film here: The film's premise revolves around Mahima (Nushrratt) and Anuraag's (Raqesh) love story, and how she tries to win over his family through love and devotion towards Goddess Santoshi. For the actress' fans who haven't watched JaI Santoshi Maa yet, the film is available on the official YouTube channel of Shemaroo. After Jai Santoshi Maa, Nushrratt also starred in Bhootnath director Vivek Sharma's Kal Kissne Dekha (2009), which marked the Bollywood debut of Jackky Bhagnani opposite Vaishali Desai. It also flopped at the box office. After finally tasting success with LSD and Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Nushrratt went on to be a part of several films including Akaash Vani, Meeruthiya Gangsters, and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, however, her 2018 release, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, proved to be a turning point in her career. Since then, she has been continuously doing several big and interesting projects like Dream Girl, Chhalaang, and Ajeeb Daastaans. View this post on Instagram Talking about her future projects, besides Ram Setu, her lineup includes Janhit Mein Jaari and Selfiee. She is also expected to reprise her role in Chhorii 2. 'Lord Bobby Has Killed It' People Hail Bobby Deol's Performance In 'Love Hostel'
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
Sanya Malhotra, Bobby Deol, and Vikrant Massey-starrer Love Hostel has finally premiered on ZEE5. Directed by Shanker Raman, the film is based on honor killing and revolves around star-crossed lovers Jyoti (Sanya), Amhed aka Ashu (Vikrant), and a cold-blooded murderer named Dagar (Bobby). Completely in love, Jyoti and Ahmed decide to elope and get married as their families didn't approve of their relationship due to different religions. This decision puts them in danger as Dagar is hired by Jyoti's family to kill her and Ahmed. As per MensXP's review, Love Hostel makes for an intriguing watch. While the storyline isn't particularly unique, Shanker Raman's direction and the strong performances make it well worth your time. Bobby Deol, especially, has delivered an outstanding performance. On social media, the film is getting a mixed response. While the majority of social media users have appreciated Love Hostel, its storyline, and performances, others just didn't like the final product. Also, netizens have particularly hailed Bobby's performance as Dagar. After watching the film, a user tweeted, "Watched #LoveHostel last night, Lord Bobby has killed it with a superlative performance. Sanya & Vikrant too have done a great job. Overall, a decent film". View this post on Instagram Another user wrote, "What a terrific follow up to 'Gurgaon' from Shanker Raman. Drains you with its nihilism just like that stunning debut. #LoveHostel" A third tweet reads, "kya bakwas hai #LoveHostel . Waste of time". Take a look at the reactions here: Watched #LoveHostel last night, Lord Bobby has killed it with a superlative performance. Sanya & Vikrant too have done a great job. If yes, share your views in the comments section below. Produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Gaurav Verma, and Manish Mundra under the banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films, the romantic thriller marks Deol's second project with SRK's production house after the Netflix film Class Of ‘83. After the terrific Gurgaon in 2017, I was looking forward to Shanker Raman’s next film interestingly titled Love Hostel. And the icing on the cake was the casting of Bobby Deol, who is in the best phase of his career ever since his resurgence with Class of ‘83 and Aashram. Well, Love Hostel doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it makes for an intriguing watch. While the story of the film isn’t unique, the execution by Shanker Raman and the outstanding performances make it worth your time. © Red Chillies Entertainment Based on the subject of honour killing, the film is about a cold blooded mercenary named Dagar (Bobby Deol) who is hired by Jyoti’s (Sanya Malhotra) family to kill her and her husband Ashu aka Ahmed (Vikrant Massey). The screenplay keeps you engrossed right from its opening scene till the end. Even though at times it becomes convenient and displays some lazy writing. The narrative is brutal and disturbing with a tinge of dark humour. The editing is sharp and pacing is quite good. The atmosphere created by Raman blends in well with the film’s tone. However, there are a couple of choices that Shanker has made with his characters that didn't quite make sense. For example, how people in this film behave so casually while their family members or loved ones are being killed. © Red Chillies Entertainment Coming to the performances, Bobby Deol is outstanding. While he has played characters with grey shades in the past, Dagar in Love Hostel is at the extreme end. It is quite clear that while sketching his character, the filmmaker took a lot of inspiration from Javier Bardem’s Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men. Dagar is like a ghost who doesn’t flinch before going on a killing spree and he kills a lot of people… a lot. However, in a few scenes, he also displays the pain that he has been through. He believes what he is doing is for the betterment of the society. It is his Dharma as he says. But in reality, all he needs is a psychiatrist. If John Wick was evil, you will get Dagar. © Red Chillies Entertainment Vikrant Massey is a complete natural and performs well. However, the character he plays does nothing to challenge him as an actor. This is the kind of role he can ace at any given day. Sanya Malhotra once again proves why she is one of the most promising young actresses in the Indian film industry, currently. Even though I had an issue with the way her character is written (read: dumb), Sanya was first rate. Raj Arjun delivers a fine performance but his character is not fully fleshed out. In fact, in the larger scheme of things, he doesn’t even matter. © Red Chillies Entertainment Overall, Love Hostel is one of the better films to release on OTT in the last two years. It’s entertaining, engaging and a bit disturbing. View the full article

Ever since his resurgence with Shah Rukh Khan’s Class Of ‘83 and Prakash Jha’s Aashram, Bobby Deol, the actor, seems like a different beast altogether. There was a time when the “star” Bobby Deol was on a downward spiral in his career until the “actor” Bobby Deol took over the reins and his career skyrocketed. © Red Chillies Entertainment © Red Chillies Entertainment Joining hands with Shah Rukh Khan, the producer, for the second time, Bobby Deol turns into an antagonist called Dagar who is on the hunt for the star-crossed lovers played by Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra in the upcoming thriller Love Hostel. The trailer of the film was released online and I will be honest, I am pleasantly surprised. Bobby Deol’s look, presence and dialogue delivery is top-notch. He is playing a menacing killing machine and I am loving it. © Red Chillies Entertainment © Red Chillies Entertainment Besides the thrill element, the ultra-violent film is also laced with subtle humour that works, at least in the trailer. Take a look at the trailer below: Reacting to the trailer, one user wrote, “Im living for #BobbyDeol 2.0 #LoveHostel seems like an absolute mad ride!” Another tweeted, “Goosebumps...Wow What A Trailer What A Cast... Since this is Shah Rukh Khan’s second film with Bobby Deol in less than two years, and King Khan finally returned to Twitter to share Love Hostel’s trailer, one user stated, “SRK really likes Bobby Deol”.
