Amit Mishra, veteran India leg-spinner, went unsold at the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction. Despite being the third-highest wicket-taker in the cash-rich league, Mishra failed to attract any bids. The 39-year-old bowler played just four matches last year before an injury forced him out of action. After going unsold, the leg-spinner has been quite active on social media. In one of his recent tweets, Mishra boasted about dismissing his 'good friend' seven times in the IPL. The self-praising tweet came after Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga sent Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson packing for the fourth time in their fifth meeting. Samson fell to Hasaranga for fourth time in overall five innings. Do you know whom I have dismissed the most number of times? My good friend Rohit Sharma (7 times).. a very good human being. #RCBvsRR #IPL2022 — Amit Mishra (@MishiAmit) April 5, 2022 "Samson fell to Hasaranga for fourth time in overall five innings. The tweet did not go well with Rohit fans as they slammed Amit Mishra for trying to use Mumbai Indians' skipper's name to stay relevant. With that wicket in 2021, Mishra had equalled the record of dismissing a batter the most number of times in IPL. Before him, Zaheer Khan and Sandeep Sharma had dismissed MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli seven times respectively. View this post on InstagramAfter going unsold ahead of the auction, Mishra had put out a tweet for his former franchise -- Delhi Capitals. The veteran spinner had said that he is not finished and still has a lot to offer. Thanks @ParthJindal11 for the kind words & your acknowledgment of my services for the team. I am truly humbled! But, I am not finished yet and can easily add to the legacy of @DelhiCapitals…only if DC needs me! I am always in their corner. #ibleedDC https://t.co/kQuiiKaHKy — Amit Mishra (@MishiAmit) February 13, 2022 "Thanks @ParthJindal11 for the kind words & your acknowledgment of my services for the team. While Mishra holds the record for most hat-tricks taken in the IPL and has 166 wickets next to his name in the franchise-based tournament, his fitness became a major concern. He played just seven games in the last two seasons and that might have forced Delhi to look beyond one of their most successful bowlers in the tournament's history. View the full article

From being a model to establishing himself as a full-fledged actor, John Abraham's journey has been like a roller-coaster ride and is inspiring for numerous reasons. John has been in films for about two decades now but still the actor feels that he is still struggling to make a mark in Bollywood. Despite giving many successful movies, the actor feels that he hasn’t achieved a strong footing. View this post on Instagram He said, “Honestly, at the risk of sounding humble -- which I don't want to -- I still believe I am struggling and trying to make a mark. I have told everyone on set that I am grateful to be on a film set. I have become more cognizant of it today than what I was back then.” The actor added that he has grown a lot during these years in the industry. "There was a sense of frivolity and a sense of casual callousness about my behaviour at the start of my career, where I wasn't scared of failure. Today, I am not scared but grateful for my journey. It teaches you a lot," he added. View this post on Instagram He also said that he has made this far just because of his conviction and added that he only gives credit to himself for making this far in an industry despite the cut-throat competition. "Someone said that I am the only model who has made it. But today, when I think about it, I think that's true and it's because of my choices and sense of self-conviction. I only give myself a pat on my back and credit for where I have reached," he added. On the work front, John was last seen in Mumbai Saga and has a busy lineup ahead. He will be seen in the sequel of Milap Zaveri's Satyameva Jayate, where he will play a double role alongside Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai, and Anup Soni in pivotal characters. He also has Attack with Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh. View this post on InstagramApart from these, he will be seen opposite Disha Patani in Ek Villain Returns and also has Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Pathan in his kitty.
