  1. John Abraham's Attack, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh as the leading ladies, was finally released in the theatres on April 1 amid huge buzz and expectations. However, the film opened to mixed response and failed badly at the box office. While a section of fans liked the concept, others disliked the final product. View this post on Instagram The craze for The Kashmir Files and RRR too affected Attack badly at the ticket window. While the whole team must be disappointed with the final result, John has thanked his fans for "whatever appreciation" they have received for the film. Taking to social media, he posted a heartfelt note and stated that he completely owns and is proud of Attack. He tweeted, "Whatever appreciation we have received for this film, a big THANK YOU to the audience for accepting something that's new and different. ATTACK was an honest, humble experiment on our part to give the industry something refreshing and new". The actor added, "It was challenging through the 3 pandemic waves but we got what we wanted, I completely own and am proud of this film. I stand by the honest effort every team member has taken on ATTACK - John Abraham (sic)". Take a look at his post below: Once again, thank you! #ATTACK #ATTACKMovie@LakshyaRajAnand @Rakulpreet @Asli_Jacqueline #RatnaPathakShah @prakashraaj @jayantilalgada #AjayKapoor @MogreYogendra @minnakshidas @sumit_batheja @VishalKapoorVK @shashwatology @PenMovies pic.twitter.com/H41SrdZtfi — John Abraham (@TheJohnAbraham) April 7, 2022 For the unversed, Attack revolves around an army soldier’s journey to be India's first super-soldier. It, reportedly, features a complex narrative with a sci-fi element and a glimpse into the future of warfare. Directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, the film is produced by JA Entertainment, AK Productions, and Pen India Limited. On the career front, John will next be seen in the second installment of Ek Villain. Tiled Ek Villain Returns, the much-awaited sequel also stars Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. Directed by Mohit Suri, the upcoming film is slated to hit the theatres on July 8. View this post on Instagram The actor is also a part of Shah Rukh Khan's much-hyped project, Pathaan. 2. If I were to write down a simple recipe for a Bollywood blockbuster, it would be something like this - Loosely knotted plot + major superstar + at least 1 car chase sequence where a few cars fly here and there + passing shots of the heroine who later gets into trouble and needs to be saved by the hero + one item song. © Nora Fatehi Now, while most of the other things are subject to change in Bollywood, considering how ‘woke’ the movie is, what is often not compromised upon is an item number that is almost always present in a movie. At least in the ones where John Abraham has played the lead role. Recently, opening up about his take on item songs that are placed in his movies, the Attack star shared how it ‘kills’ him to have such songs in his movies. With a view of never wanting to break the narrative or the flow of his movie, John explains how music is very important in his films. However, when a producer asks him to add an item song, many of which have been performed by Nora Fatehi in his films, it pains him. © Balaji Motion Pictures In an interview with Tried and Refused Productions, the actor shared, “Some of my music has been great. Jism, for me, is still my most favourite album. I think I have accidentally got very nice songs. But I have also got extremely bad songs. For me, the real dagger that pushes me down is when I am told that I have to have an item song in a film. And I don't want to sound condescending towards it but that kills me. That really breaks me." #NoraFatehi item song in john Abraham films be like:#kusukusu #SatyamevaJayate2 pic.twitter.com/gvC7oqZtSU — Urwashi_07 (@UGwalwanshi) November 10, 2021*When you you see the trailer of John Abraham's new movie and there is no item song* pic.twitter.com/mZfBrYAqhW — Eddi Adeen (@EddiAdeen) March 12, 2022*John Abraham film announcement* Nora Fatehi outside studio for Item dance practice same day: pic.twitter.com/KwdX8dMWzw — Vishcomical (@vishcomical) March 25, 2022When producer announces item song for John Abraham movie Nora fatehi be like - pic.twitter.com/uiMDr4279B — Saurabh (@Saurabh_008_) March 30, 2022When shown his own snippet in an item song, John pointed at his face saying, “That's me walking painfully by.” Meanwhile, fans who are used to seeing Nora’s item songs in almost each of John’s movies took to Twitter to share a parade of memes. On the work front, the actor will be seen starring next in an action thriller Attack where he plays the role of a super-soldier. The movie also stars actresses like Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh. Source: Hindustan Times View the full article
  3. John Abraham said, "Priya and I have tested positive for Covid. We have been quarantined at home so haven't been in contact with anyone else"
  4. Bollywood actor John Abraham, since making his debut in the early 2000s had really been a sensation, having done a large number of successful movies since then. John, apart from his acting talent, is known to have been a big heartthrob since his Jism days, with women obviously going gaga over him whenever he's spotted in public. © Netflix One such incident, however, really got to a whole new level. It was when John had been in the Netherlands, where a couple of girls having spotted him, came to greet him. Well, greeting really isn't it, exactly! As things really got out of hand. Or Hands! John, while speaking about the incident, said that the girls actually surrounded him and started getting their hands inside his t-shirt. “Once we were in Holland and five or six excited girls surrounded me and put their hands in my t-shirt. There were like ten hands roaming around in my t-shirt,” said John, while speaking with India TV News. Now, while most actors would usually have bodyguards around them to make sure that such incidents don't happen, John said that there really was nothing his bodyguards could do in this situation. “The bodyguards came but said that they would not intervene or else girls would scratch me. So those girls whatever they wanted and it was really sweet,” he said. However, while things seemed in control at first, there was something really weird and creepy that went after it. © Instagram/John Abraham As per John, one of the girls actually went on to the extent of legit clawing John, with the actor then feeling a burning sensation before realizing that there was blood coming out of his skin. Soon enough, John asked the girl why she did it and got a really freaky answer in return. “I asked the girl why she did that, she said she wanted my skin in her nails,” said John. Just wow! Now imagine if something similar had happened with the male and female roles being switched. It's obviously not cool to do that to anyone, let alone a celebrity. Looks like there are all sorts of crazy fans running around, who think they can do anything. Hopefully, if something like this happens again next time, John's wife can really take the issue into her hands. Source: India TV News View the full article
  5. John Abraham is an actor who has done almost all kinds of films over the course of his 2-decade-old Bollywood career. Having worked tirelessly in the industry, he's come from almost no backing to achieve tremendous success, wherein now, he also has a production house of his own, where he makes the movies he actually likes. © John Abraham Entertainment A good formula for success, oh yes! However, you have to think that in his long career, things obviously mustn't always have been rosy for him, which he too admits. In one of his old interviews, John can be heard speaking about nepotism, actors, and camps within Bollywood. Speaking in an old interview on Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, John talks about how people literally wanted to take his roles. “I have just started learning about lobbies and camps when other people have asked for the same role as I have been offered. There have been family pressures, peer pressures, father pressures, and mother pressures. But I feel very complimented that someone wants to do a role that I am doing,” he said. John also reveals how he had to tread carefully in the industry as there was no helping hand waiting for him, in case he made a mistake. “Well, till now I have tried to be very careful because I don’t have any backing. If I fall, there’s no one to really hold my hand. So, I have to stand up there myself and I realize that. And I think I am doing a pretty good job and hanging in there. I think I have created a niche for myself. I have been told that if everybody is dal and chawal, I am caviar. I felt wow but I realised that it meant that you are not gonna get as many roles as the others.” said John. © Jio Cinema Talking about making friends in the industry, John revealed how he's found some co-stars to be insecure as well. “I think it is very easy and you can have very good friends if you are secure but most of them are not. That’s a problem,” John told Simi in response to her question if it is easy for him to make his co-stars his friends. “What they don’t understand is that I see it. I see insecurity very easily and I know it when I see it. And I feel helpless and I just want to reach out and tell them that listen, don’t worry about me. I am just doing my work. You do yours. Why fear when John is here,” John said. John, of course, is going to be seen in his latest film Attack alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, and in Pathan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. 6. The thing about being a celebrity (and one that most people don’t understand) is that with all that glamour and fame and following comes a certain sense of responsibility that you cannot wash your hands off of. Like spreading the right word and knowledge, considering they have the power not just to entertain but also to influence. Which is why, John Abraham’s latest appearance on the famous Kapil Sharma Show created quite an uproar, after the actor callously spoke about the cause of a heart attack and did it all wrong. I wish our medical students had this much confidence!!! Gibberish at all level!!! pic.twitter.com/eOfFI5FUm0 — Prerna Chettri (@prernachettri) December 8, 2021 Quite recently, a number of celebrities have met with their end after suffering unsolicited heart attacks that opened up a conversation around health. And John was speaking about the cause of such heart attacks and for a while we all listened and with all attention, considering he did seem to be making a point and is a bonafide health and fitness freak. However, seconds into his explanation, netizens realised that while his effort and intent to get a point across about stress and heart attack was right, his scientific terminology to explain it was all wrong. © Twitter John went on to talk about triglycerides and described them as bubbles in the blood which travel to the heart to cause a heart attack. Except, they aren’t bubbles. And to be honest, the only bubble here was the one John was living in, as he spurted out factually incorrect information about the matter. Triglycerides, in reality, are a type of fat found in the blood, which is measured along with cholesterol levels. While they can very well lead to a heart attack, but not by travelling to the heart. At the most, they contribute to the hardening of the arteries which can increase the risk of stroke, heart attack and other heart diseases. After all, you can’t risk putting out incorrect information about such a sensitive topic, not so confidently either! One user wrote, “Triglycerides aren’t bubbles. He’s a bubble," while another one commented, “I wish our medical students had this much confidence!!! Gibberish at all level!!!” View the full article
  7. National Film Awards are considered as the most prestigious awards in Indian cinema. Over the years many actors have talked about their desire to win a National Film Award. Among other actors, Shah Rukh Khan has expressed his wish to win a National Award. He had said at KIFF, “It's really unfortunate and sad, I have never got a National Award.” While Shah Rukh Khan’s quest to win a National Film Award continues, over the years, the ceremony has seen a few unlikely winners. Take a look at the list of five unlikely winners of the National Film Awards: 1. Arbaaz Khan for Dabangg © Directorate of Film Festivals Released in 2010, Dabangg marked Arbaaz’s foray into film production after a not-so-successful stint in acting for over a decade. Starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Sonu Sood, Dabangg was a blockbuster success at the box office and even received positive reviews. The movie won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Arbaaz, being the producer, received the award from the then President of India, Pratibha Patil. 2. John Abraham for Vicky Donor © Directorate of Film Festivals John Abraham started his career in 2002 with Jism and over the years, despite receiving constant criticism for his acting, has transformed into a major movie star. While critics may question his acting abilities, his script sense is often on point, especially when he puts his producer hat on. He marked his debut as a film producer with Vicky Donor starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor. The film went on to win the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment from then President of India Pranab Mukherjee. 3. Salman Khan for Chillar Party and Bajrangi Bhaijaan © Salman Khan Films Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars of Indian cinema with a dedicated fan following. The actor is often criticised for being stiff on-screen and playing himself in every other movie. However, a lesser-known fact is that Salman has won not one but two National Film Awards. He marked his debut as a producer with the children film Chillar Party that won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. A few years later, he produced Bajrangi Bhaijaan besides starring in it. The movie won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. 4. Abhishek Bachchan for Paa © Directorate of Film Festivals Amitabh Bachchan started his production company ABCL in the early 90s and produced his first film Tere Mere Sapne starring Arshad Warsi and Chandrachur Singh that was a success. After several setbacks, in 2009, Abhishek Bachchan took over the reins of the company and produced Paa starring Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan and himself. The R Balki directorial went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. While Abhishek may have been unlucky when it comes to his career in acting in his early days, as a film producer, he did hit out of the park with his very first film. 5. Dharmendra for Ghayal © Vijayta Films Dharmendra is one of the most successful stars of Indian cinema and has been active in the industry for over 60 years. The veteran actor has delivered some of the biggest blockbusters of all time and has been a star of some of the most loved cult classics, but rarely has he received recognition for his acting abilities. He has stated on various occasions how he never won an award for his performances. However, he has the most prestigious award in his kitty that many acclaimed actors and filmmakers still dream of. For his 1990 film, Ghayal starring Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Sheshadri and Amrish Puri, Dharmendra who produced the film under his banner Vijayta Films won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. 8. Bollywood superstar John Abraham is one actor who has recently cemented his status as being a proper action hero. With the release of his latest movie Satyameva Jayate 2, which is a sequel to the 2018 film, marking John's return to full-on fighting sequences in the movie. © Instagram/John Abraham Ever since making his stellar debut back in 2003, John has done plenty of Bollywood films and tried out different genres as well. From being in comedy films like Houseful 2, Dostana, Garam Masala, and others to trying out chocolate boy roles like the one in Jhoota Hi Sahi and others, the actor really has done it all in Bollywood. However, one thing that John was exceptionally good at was his intense romance movies with Jism being one of them. John really became a *** symbol in the early 2000s with women going crazy for him. However, did you know the actor once had an incident to forget during one of his films? According to reports, John was once shooting for a *** scene with co-star Kangana Ranaut in the movie Shootout At Wadala when things really got out of hand. A TOI report quoted a source saying that John apparently got too carried away in the scene that he ended up hurting Kangana during the scene. © Netflix “There are not one but two hot, lovemaking scenes in Shootout at Wadala. One is a simple but passionate kiss and the other is so violent that it’s almost like a sexual assault on Kangana by John! Both John and Kangana have kissed in their earlier films so the kissing scene went off smoothly. It was during the passionate lovemaking scene that both got into a heated argument. John holds her hand tightly and starts making love to her but his grip was so strong that her bangles broke and she started bleeding." said the source. However, John immediately realized the situation and apologized to Kangana for it. "Of course, John immediately apologized to Kangana. It was just that being good actors both he and Kangana got carried away with the passion created at the moment.” said the source. Wow! Imagine being in the moment. That's full method acting, to be honest. I guess that's what makes them the actors that they are today. To be successful, you sometimes have to be too true to the craft, even if it at times gets out of hand. Thankfully, they were both professional about it and it's forgotten. View the full article
  9. We're all aware of the fact that once upon a time in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif was said to be very, very close to superstar Salman Khan. The two were said to be dating each other and it was Salman who helped Katrina a lot during her early years in the industry. However, things have changed quite a bit since then, and the actress is now on her way to get married to Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal, with the marriage set to take place in grand fashion in Rajasthan, something that is getting talked about a lot these days. © Twitter Now, while it looks that Salman won't be attending the royal wedding, there is some old scoop of news that caught our attention. Salman, as you all know, is never scared to pick fights with the biggest of stars as we have already seen how the Salman-Shah Rukh feud went for ages before the duo finally became friends not so long ago. © Twitter But, did you know that there is one actor Salman does not get on with still? And no, it's not Vivek Oberoi. It's actually Satyameva Jayate star John Abraham. © Instagram/John Abraham Salman and John haven't been the best of friends and according to Bollywood Life, it all started when the duo had a fight on one of their dance tours. However, things really escalated when Katrina had sort of an altercation with John as well. As per an old interview with India TV, Salman revealed that he had a problem with John Abraham after the actor removed Katrina from one of his films. Katrina was said to star in Anurag Basu's 2003 Bollywood supernatural fantasy romantic thriller film Saaya, which had John in the lead role. However, it was reported that John apparently got her replaced by Tara Sharma. Following this, Salman revealed how Katrina cried for three days straight. “I remember the visual of Katrina that she was doing the film for which she was replaced by Tara Sharma later and Katrina was crying 'My whole career is destroyed'. Teen din tak woh jhelna pada (I had to bear it for three days),” said Salman. Later, Salman reassured Katrina that she will be one of the biggest stars in India. © Twitter “I said, 'You'll be laughing at this a few years down',” said Salman. This prediction by Salman actually became true as Katrina did a whole lot of successful films, with her on-screen chemistry with Akshay Kumar really working wonders at the box office. Salman also revealed how Katrina had a chance to remove John from New York, but he told her not to. “The film (New York) became a big hit. Mere aur Katrina dono k badappan k wajahse John Abraham ko badi hit mili hai (Because of the nobility of both of us John Abraham got a big hit),” said Salman. View the full article

  14. From being a model to establishing himself as a full-fledged actor, John Abraham's journey has been like a roller-coaster ride and is inspiring for numerous reasons. John has been in films for about two decades now but still the actor feels that he is still struggling to make a mark in Bollywood. Despite giving many successful movies, the actor feels that he hasn’t achieved a strong footing. View this post on Instagram He said, “Honestly, at the risk of sounding humble -- which I don't want to -- I still believe I am struggling and trying to make a mark. I have told everyone on set that I am grateful to be on a film set. I have become more cognizant of it today than what I was back then.” The actor added that he has grown a lot during these years in the industry. "There was a sense of frivolity and a sense of casual callousness about my behaviour at the start of my career, where I wasn't scared of failure. Today, I am not scared but grateful for my journey. It teaches you a lot," he added. View this post on Instagram He also said that he has made this far just because of his conviction and added that he only gives credit to himself for making this far in an industry despite the cut-throat competition. "Someone said that I am the only model who has made it. But today, when I think about it, I think that's true and it's because of my choices and sense of self-conviction. On one hand, we have celebrities like Ranveer Singh who wear OTT outfits every now and then, and on the other hand, we have someone like John who doesn't flinch over wearing a basic T-shirt and jeans to most events. © Viral Bhayani Another thing that strikes us about his fashion game is how he manages to turn heads, even when he is wearing a basic pair of flip flops. With so many hypebeasts in Bollywood, it's impossible to notice anything else. But, John's streak of wearing chappals in public has never gone unnoticed. © Viral Bhayani This time too, for the promotions of his upcoming movie, Mumbai Saga, he was yet again seen in a super casual outfit. While we were hoping to see him in a new avatar this time, he yet again knocked it out of the park, wearing his flip flops. Take a look: What He Wore: © Viral Bhayani Continuing his trend of keeping us hooked to his sartorial game, John wore a basic black T-shirt with blue denims, which is considered to be a classic combination. Being the sartorial champ that he is, he also combined a brown belt here. We also like his super casual backpack in black and grey colour, as it's sitting well with his super relaxed ensemble. The Brands: © Billabong John could have easily worn a pair of chunky sneakers but given that he is more of a comfort guy, the choice of opting for a pair of flip flops here isn't so bad. © Billabong He is wearing Billabong's Venture Sandals For Men. The pair comes with faux nubuck upper strap along with padded embossed lining and debossed Billabong TPU logo. There's also a comfortable footbed with moulded midsole. The Price: © Viral Bhayani These days, as we have seen many celebrities wearing flip flops, it's easy to assume that these chappals would burn a big moon-sized hole in our pockets. Turns out, it's not true. Originally, the cost of the pair was Rs 3,913 but one can get this pair for Rs 1,565 at the moment. Not such a bad deal, right? Why It Works: © Viral Bhayani Flip flops or chappals may hold an odd place in the menswear arena but they are actually a classic and distinct type of footwear. What we have learnt from this latest look of John's is that no matter how basic you look, adding just one striking element can spell magic. Here, the main highlight, without a doubt, are his flip flops and we have to applaud him for taking this fashion risk, yet again. View the full article

  18. The much-awaited teaser of Sanjay Gupta’s Mumbai Saga is finally here. The teaser of this period crime thriller opens with the text: ‘When Bombay was not yet Mumbai’ and ‘When violence ruled the streets’, interestingly suggesting that the film is set during the time when the underworld had a huge presence in the city. The PlotJohn Abraham plays Amartya Rao who ‘rose from the streets’ and now wants to ‘rule’ the city. He is opposed by Emraan Hashmi’s cop character who rose from the ‘ghettos’ of the city. The teaser certainly looks terrific and in fact, we can't wait for the film's release now. Watch Mumbai Saga teaser here: The Cast & Crew The crime drama also features prominent actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Suniel Shetty, and Gulshan Grover, among others. The film is written, produced and helmed by Sanjay Gupta. Gupta has previously directed films like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Jazbaa, Kaabil, Musafir, Zinda among others. Hashmi previously said in a statement, “An encounter specialist, he can put a bullet into someone if it accomplishes his motive. He is a badass character in a dog-eat-dog kind of world wherein this guy is the wolf. No one would imagine that I am playing a cop, but for this policeman, he is, as I said, like a gangster." He added, "Be it by fair or unfair means, he will bring down the guy he is going for. So, it’s kind of home turf, but it’s a very entertaining pitch for a character in a pure Sanjay Gupta style, who has created his own brand of cinema. And as an actor, I am always up for doing something different.” When's The Release Mumbai Saga releases in theatres on March 19. We are totally excited. What about you? View the full article
  19. Ahead of the third of four Test matches between India and England at Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium, one of the leading all-rounders of the Men in Blue, Hardik Pandya shared a shirtless image with teammate Umesh Yadav in which the two stars could be seen boasting a set of abs and lean bodies. Hustle continues ✅🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/vGHkRavdYE — hardik pandya (@hardikpandya7) February 21, 2021 Instead of commending the two cricketers on their dedication towards fitness and the kind of fitness they have achieved for themselves, some of the social media trolls tried to make fun of Pandya’s apparently “weak” physique and instead asked him to try and focus on bulking up like John Abraham or becoming agile like Vidyut Jammwal. हार्दिक भाई, इन्हें पैक नही कमजोरी कहते है, उमेश का ठीक है,पर आप ज्यादा दुबले हो गए हो। मतलब ये है कि विधुत जामबाल जैसी फुर्तीली या जॉन अब्राहम जैसी तगड़ी बॉडी बनाओ, क्या ब्रुस ली जैसी बना रहे हो — अजीत कौरव🇮🇳 (@Badboycheeta) February 21, 2021 Contrary to what has unfortunately become a popular opinion, putting on tons of muscle all over your body is not the one true definition of fitness. Physical fitness refers to a person being in a healthy state while being able to perform their daily activities and jobs at a high level. While on one hand, bulking up was the way to go for actors like Abraham and Jammwal according to their preferred way of living and also a prerequisite for their occupation, staying lean while focusing on agility are the requirements of most athletes. View this post on Instagram Sometimes, a player who is lean by nature and is injury-prone, especially in a particular region in the body, the doctors and fitness experts need him to make his muscles stronger and in the process, the athlete ends up putting on some weight, ideally in the form of muscle mass. In Hardik Pandya’s case in particular, the pacer has time and again experienced severe pain and stress on his spine and lower back. He was ruled out of numerous matches back in 2019 with complaints of back pain and had to undergo operation in October 2019, which further prevented him from playing cricket for at least five months. And even when he started playing cricket for local, state, national and international level once again since March 2020, he has not been recommended to bowl for the team. Even under the captaincy of Virat Kohli during the Australia tour, Pandya’s position in the team was limited to that of a middle-order batsman (a role he did complete justice to). View this post on Instagram In order to deal with his back issues, Pandya even ended up gaining seven kilos in three months since his surgery which resulted in unleashing an incredible amount of energy in his batting strokes, allowing him to hit longer, more destructive sixes.
