  7. I am 25-years-old, presumably fit, fine and healthy and often reminded to be in what are called the ‘prime years’ of my life. Considering I am neither obese nor too skinny, I believed that I may fit right into the definition of being fit, but that was until I met Milind Soman, a bonafide name in the fashion, Bollywood and fitness fraternity. Someone who is known to break past stereotypes and redefine ‘normal’, Milind Soman recently spoke exclusively with MensXP where he blew my mind by discarding every single notion I had towards fitness. © Veeba The actor and supermodel recently embarked on a 10-day-long journey by riding a bicycle from Mumbai to Delhi. Mapping through the cities of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, Milind partnered with Veeba’s Earthmade Organix for this green ride to emphasize the need for cleaner air. And while at it, Milind Soman also busted a few myths we had about staying healthy, especially ones where we assumed that a fit body could only be a byproduct of relentless workout. However, coming from the horse’s mouth himself, Milind revealed, “I don’t really work out so I don’t use those terms, but I am active for only about 15-20 minutes a day. That’s my average for working out every day.” Veeba And for all those of us who presumed that a good body could only come from hours of gyming and dieting, this came as a breath of fresh air and hope. Milind continued to say, “I never go to the gym, I just challenge myself regularly. Be it by embarking on a 10-day challenge like this one, where I cycled from Bombay to Delhi to promote the cause or by running triathlons or anything.” © Veeba He also clarified how he might be seen doing a lot of marathons, but he doesn’t indulge in them all too often either. “I don’t do it all the time. The only catch is that I have maintained that level of fitness where I can dream of doing whatever I want and I am equipped to actually do it. That is the secret to living life. Life is constantly throwing challenges at you, and if you’re not prepared - you suffer. It’s like the lesson you learnt in school- if you study, you pass. It has nothing to do with geography or science or mathematics. If you’ll study, you’ll pass,” said Milind. Calling his 15-20 minutes of workout every single day of his life, a ‘bare minimum’, Milind squashed all those notions we had about fitness by reminding us that the human body can function well and stay healthy simply by being consistent.
