  10. Bollywood's first female superstar Sridevi's sudden demise on February 25th this year left everyone in a state of shock and intense grief. The late actress who had gone to Dubai to attend a family wedding was found dead in her bathtub, inside her hotel room, by her husband Boney Kapoor. Ever since then, speculations about this heartbreaking incident have been doing the rounds. BCCL Recently, retired ACP Ved Bhushan came up with an opinion that the actress' death looked like a “planned murder” and not an “accidental death”. And now the ACP has also alleged that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim may be involved in it since he has a stronghold in Dubai and also has a close relationship with the Dubai prince's family. BCCL In order to clear his doubts he reportedly even stayed in the same hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai with his private investigation agency for a night. The hotel, too, is apparently owned by Dawood Ibrahim. He is now planning to file an appeal in the Supreme Court on this investigation so that the death of Sridevi can be re-examined. BCCL The ACP further alleged that when he asked the Dubai Police to hand him over Sridevi's blood samples and reports of how much water had entered her lungs, they apparently denied the access and only gave him the post-mortem report. He also raised his suspicion on an insurance policy which is reportedly worth Rs 240 crore in Sridevi's name in Oman, which could only be encashed if the actress died in Dubai. (The story was originally published in The Times Of India)

Mushaidullah said this while appearing on Geo News' programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath after his party?s candidates lost the top Senate posts. ?There were three or four parties which were united. These parties want to take credit for this but the real credit goes to those who cannot be seen,? said the senator. According to Mushaidullah, some people had promised to vote for the party in the election failed to do so. ?A renowned person from the independent group in Balochistan told [PML-N Senator] Raja Zafarul Haq that he did not vote for him, but the victory was his.? The ruling PML-N lost the race to appoint their favoured candidates to the top Senate slots as Sadiq Sanjrani, an opposition-backed candidate from Balochistan, was appointed chairman. Sanjrani who was backed by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) secured 57 votes compared to 46 for Haq. PPP?s Saleem Mandviwalla won the post of deputy chairman securing votes compared to PkMAP?s Usman Kakar who was supported by the PML-N and received 44 votes. ?Defeat for democracy? Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has termed the outcome of the Senate election as a ?defeat for democracy?. Rehman said following this election Pakistanis will now hold the belief that whoever holds influence against PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is the ?real influencer?. "Everyone knows the truth behind why the PPP and PTI went to Balochistan to strike an agreement," he said.
  17. LEFT: First Lady of the United States Melania Trump in Manchester, New Hampshire, US, February 6, 2016. REUTERS/Rick Wilking/Files; RIGHT: US President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One, November 11, 2017. REUTERS/Jonathan Ernst/Files WASHINGTON: US First Lady Melania Trump on Friday chose not to leave the White House with her husband as planned to catch a flight to Florida after a second woman claimed she had an affair with the now president. The 47-year-old Slovenian-born model skipped the helicopter ride from the White House to Joint Base Andrews, deciding instead to take the longer motorcade on her own to meet Donald for the flight to the Sunshine State for a long holiday weekend. Reporters travelling with Trump were prevented from seeing the First Lady arrive on the plane, but she did exit the plane at West Palm Beach with Trump. The pair walked down the stairs together, Melania in dark sunglasses, but she did not smile. The flight came just hours after former Playboy model Karen McDougal claimed she and Trump had a sexual relationship in 2006, months after Melania Trump gave birth to the president?s youngest son Barron. McDougal also described complex legal and financial agreements that were used in an alleged bid to cover it up. The White House did not reply to a request for comment. But in a statement to The New Yorker, an unnamed spokesperson said the president had denied having a relationship with McDougal, calling the claims "fake news". And the first lady?s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham tried to pour cold water on any speculation about the first couple?s relationship, saying: "With her schedule, it was easier to meet him on the plane." Deal with a tabloid According to The New Yorker, the nine-month relationship between Trump and McDougal ended quietly, but years later ? during the 2016 presidential campaign ? she sold her story. The New Yorker reported that on August 5, 2016, McDougal agreed to give the company ? which owns the National Inquirer tabloid ? exclusive rights over "any romantic, personal, or physical relationship she has ever had with any ?then-married man.?" The deal is alleged to have been worth $150,000, but the story never ran. "I?m the one who took it, so it?s my fault, too. But I didn?t understand the full parameters of it," McDougal told The New Yorker of the alleged payment. The National Enquirer is owned by David Pecker, who has claimed to be a friend of Trump?s. The tabloid endorsed Trump?s bid for the presidency. In a statement, the tabloid?s owner, AMI, said that the suggestion that it "engages in any practice that would allow it to hold influence over the President of the United States is laughable". The model?s story strongly echoes allegations of an affair between Trump and the porn star Stephanie Clifford ? known as Stormy Daniels ? during the same period. In that case, the president?s personal lawyer Michael Cohen admitted to paying Daniels $130,000 but refused to say why. After that admission, Daniels? agent has said she feels free to speak out. "Everything is off now, and Stormy is going to tell her story," manager Gina Rodriguez told US media. ?Lawful? payment to porn star Good governance groups believe that Cohen?s payment could constitute a campaign donation and breach election financial rules. Cohen has refused to say why he paid Daniels the vast sum but he claims he was not reimbursed by the "Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign." "The payment to Ms Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone," Cohen said. Trump declined to comment on the issue. The White House has dodged questions about whether allegations of an affair are true, claiming the matter was dealt with during the campaign.

The MQM-P lawmaker, while drawing attention to the matter, appealed to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to play its role in the scenario. He further said that MQM-P is going through a rough phase. Earlier, Senator Saeed Ghani called former party member and MQM-P?s new member Kamran Tessori a 'suicide bomber', adding that wherever Tessori goes, destruction follows. The infighting emerged within MQM-P recently, on the issue of party tickets for Senate elections. The rift resulted in the creation of two factions, one siding with party chief Farooq Sattar (PIB group) while the other opposing him (Bahadurabad group). Today, MQM-P leader Barrister Farrogh Naseem said that there is no legal value of the general workers meeting summoned by Dr Farooq Sattar, because as per the party's constitution, the Rabita Committee is the sole decision-making body. Naseem said that as Sattar is not the party's leader anymore, the MQM-P reserves the right to take legal action against him if he undertakes any unconstitutional measure. On Sunday, MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar had announced that he was dissolving the party's Rabita Committee, hours after members of the coordination committee at the party's Bahadurabad office said he was no longer the convener of the party.
  19. LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan alleged on Thursday that former police inspector Abid 'Boxer? was involved in extrajudicial killings on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Boxer, a fugitive on the run for 11 years and wanted for dozens of extrajudicial killings, has been arrested from Dubai through Interpol. Known for the killing of several alleged criminals in fake encounters, a euphemism for execution without trial, Abid 'Boxer' was a symbol of terror during the 1990s owing to his links with the underworld of organised crime. He was later charged for extrajudicial killing and corruption and was sacked from the police force. Wanted for 11 years, former cop Abid 'Boxer' arrested from Dubai Wanted for several extrajudicial killings in fake encounters and known for his contacts with the underworld, the former police inspector will be handed over to Pakistani authorities soon, sources said Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Imran said ?the fugitive former inspector admitted that he used to kill people extra-judicially on the direction of Shehbaz Sharif,? adding that, ?He left the country after knowing that Shehbaz was planning to kill him. Boxer is on record saying that he never killed anyone without the consent of Punjab chief minister.? The PTI chairman announced to take Shehbaz to court over the issue. ?Give me one example of extrajudicial killing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There is a difference between KP police and the one in Punjab and Sindh,? he said, adding, ?That is the reason why Supreme Court called them [government] a mafia.? The PTI chief also appreciated the professional role of the KP Police in the Asma and Mashal murder cases. Talking about Mashal's case, whose verdict was announced yesterday, Imran said: ?For the first time there has been action against mob violence. I have regrets for those parties who are making it a blasphemy issue. No one has even a doubt that Mashal ever committed blasphemy. Parties who are making a few people heroes must think that they are setting a precedent in which anyone can kill anyone. You are trying to bring a law of the jungle in the country.?
  20. Photographs are pictured outside the compound of the North Korean embassy in Berlin, Germany, December 1, 2017. REUTERS/Fabrizio Bensch/Files BERLIN: North Korea has been using its embassy in Berlin to procure parts for its missile program, the head of Germany?s BfV domestic intelligence agency told a German broadcaster. No one at the North Korean embassy in Berlin was immediately available to comment on the allegation. In a program to be aired on NDR television on Monday, BfV head Hans-Georg Maassen said, ?We determined that procurement activities have been carried out from there that are, in our view, done with a view to the missile program and sometimes also for the nuclear program.? He said it was often so-called dual-use goods, which can be used for both civil and military purposes. Comments released by NDR ahead of the broadcast showed Maassen said German authorities prevented such activities when they found them but he added, ?We can?t guarantee that we can detect and prevent this in all cases.? He said it was necessary to presume that parts for North Korea?s launch program ?were acquired via other markets or underground buyers had acquired them in Germany?. North Korea has defied years of multilateral and bilateral sanctions with a weapons program aimed at developing nuclear-tipped missiles capable of hitting the United States.
  21. KARACHI: Ishtiaq Ahmed, the father of the slain youth Intezar Ahmed, alleged on Monday that SSP Muqadas Haider is involved in the killing of his son. Intezar Ahmed was killed after the police's Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) officials opened fire on his car on Khayaban-e-Ittehad on January 14. The father claimed that there were two people accompanying his son at the time of the shooting, Madiha Kayani and Salman, and are also involved in the murder. Both of them know everything, he said, adding that Salman introduced Intezar to the girl who took him to the site of the incident. Ishtiaq Ahmed further said that SSP Haider?s guards opened straight fire on his son, while the guard standing at Madiha?s side only did aerial firing. However, DIG South Azad Khan said Haider would be made part of the investigation if any evidence is found against him. He added that the police has recorded Madiha's and Salman's statements. He further said that no concession would be given to the girl, keeping in view that she is the daughter and niece of police officials. The police had earlier maintained that the youth was killed in firing by unidentified assailants on motorcycles. However, it was later disclosed that the Anti-Car Lifting Cell officials opened fire at Ahmed's car after he failed to stop his vehicle despite their instructions. On Jan 18, Sindh Police authorities had removed senior official Muqaddas Haider from his post. A notification issued had confirmed that Haider, a senior superintendent in the ACLC, has been transferred and directed to report to the city police officer with immediate effect and until further orders. The ACLC officers already booked in Intezar Ahmed?s murder case had been deployed for SSP Haider?s security. Owing to the spotlight on the case, Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah had ordered a judicial inquiry into the murder of Intezar. During a conversation with Intezar?s father, the chief minister said an inquiry would be conducted according to the family?s wishes. Earlier Deputy Inspector General South Azad Khan while speaking to Geo News had said that the investigation was underway and it would be before time to say it was pre-meditated murder. While responding to a question regarding the presence of an SSP's guards among the policemen who opened fire, he said that the guards shouldn?t have been present at that time and the police was investigating his stance in the matter.

The incident was the 14th case in the series of kidnappings, which has wracked the small city of Punjab. Nadia Ansari, has been missing since two months from Kasur?s Phool Nagar, while her parents are still striving to have their daughter recovered. While speaking to Geo News, Younas Ansari said that for the registration of a case he went to the police station several times. Ansari, who is a labourer by profession, said he even informed about a suspected kidnapper but his voice was unheard. The family is still awaiting police action to trace their daughter and have her returned to safety. Zainab killing: Police say same DNA found in eight rape, murder cases Police say DNA tests have confirmed that the same culprit carried out eight rape and murder of eight children, including Zainab In August 2015, the country's biggest child abuse scandal was unearthed in Ganda Singh Wala area of Kasur, where around 400 videos were made of 280 victims of abuse by a gang of over 25 criminals. The recent rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab led to national outrage and violent protests by citizens in Kasur in which two demonstrators were killed. Police said on Friday that DNA tests results have confirmed that the same culprit carried out the horrific rapes and murders of eight children in Kasur, including seven-year-old Zainab Amin. "One thing that is very clear [from DNA tests] is that in seven previous cases, and this is the eighth case, in which the same culprit carried out these horrific crimes," Inspector-General of Punjab police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan told Geo News. He said that police has not been able to match that DNA to any of the suspects interrogated so far. "We investigated almost 227 people, of which we narrowed down 67 suspects and carried out their DNA tests. But none of these results match those of the culprit," said the provincial police chief. The provincial police chief's statement confirms those of Punjab government spokesperson, Malik Ahmad Khan, who earlier today said that the suspect in the Zainab murder case is a serial killer who kidnaps and kills young girls.

In an interview with Voice of America, McMaster said the US president?s tweet was not a ?blame game? rather termed it America?s ?effort to communicate clearly to Pakistan that our relationship can no longer bear the weight of contradictions, and that we have to really begin now to work together to stabilize Afghanistan.? 24. Bizarre is just an understatement guys! This world is crazy and is filled with cases of lunatics ranging from mild to the extreme. Just when we thought what more outlandish can happen other than the drama unfolding in 'Bigg Boss 11', this particular development has left us speechless. If you think we are overreacting, then just wait till you watch this video and we bet you will flip out as well! Of course, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan needs no introduction. She is not just considered to be one of the most beautiful women in the world but is also a goddess on-screen. She is the daughter-in-law of one of the most respected B-town clans and has a cute daughter Aaradhya with husband Abhishek Bachchan. Well, before you think why this background is needed. You will totally get the gist of it once you read this. The year has just begun and the actress has been dragged into a potentially bubbling controversy. A 29-year-old Andhra youth has alleged that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is his MOTHER! Yes, own biological mother! Yes, it takes a while for the absurdity to sink in. We saw the video and heard the man's claims and we are SHOOK! Sangeeth Kumar, who hails from Visakhapatnam claims that he was born in London in 1988 via IVF treatment to the actress. And that's just the beginning of the story. He also said that he was raised by Aishwarya's parents Vrinda Rai and late Krishnaraj Rai in Mumbai before he was brought to Visakhapatnam. And just wait till you hear this twist. Apparently, his family destroyed all the evidence and proof of his 'real mother' and manipulated him. He also gave one hell of a statement that the actress herself isn't aware of, “My mother got married in 2007 with Amitabh Abhishek Bachchan and she has separated now. And she (is) living separately.” He also made a fervent appeal saying “I want to live with my mother now after being separated for 27 years.” Well, that's one hell of a demand. The boy is going around giving interviews after interviews claiming that Aishwarya is her MOTHER and he is her SON. Yeah, right Aishwarya is your mother and Ranveer Singh is my fiancé! (Lmao) Check out this jaw-dropping video yourself and look at the statements this guy is making! We don't know whether to feel sorry for the man or laugh out loud. For now, we are going with the latter! No matter how ridiculous this sounds, we wonder what the former Miss World has to say about this.
