  1. The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro leaks have been making rounds on the internet and prominent leaker Jon Prosser posted a video detailing everything about the upcoming phones. The video reveals the specs, pricing, and other details for Appleâs new phones expected to launch this fall. © Unsplash_Daniel Romero According to Prosser and his sources, Apple will be launching two models i.e, the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro where both models will be getting a âMaxâ model. The lineup will include a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch model where the Pro models will come with OLED displays with 10-bit colour depth made by Samsung. The iPhone 12 will also have OLED displays but will be manufactured by BOE instead. The leaks also say Pro models will come with 6GB of RAM and a triple camera setup that will include a LiDAR sensor. The non-Pro models will feature 4GB RAM and a dual-camera setup instead. The Pro model is expected to have a stainless steel body while the non-Pro model will be made of an aluminium body. © Unsplash_Daniel Romero When it comes to the pricing, Prosser believes the iPhone 12 will cost somewhere around $649 (~ Rs 49,229) for the 128GB model and will go up to $749 (~Rs 56,800) for the 256GB variant. The Max version fo the iPhone 12 will be a bit more expensive and will start at $749 (~Rs 56,800) for the 128GB model and cost $849 for the 256GB (~Rs 64,400) variant. For the Pro models, there are expected to be three variants for each size where it will start at $999, $1,099, and $1,299 for the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions respectively. The Max models of the 12 Pro are expected to be priced at $1,099, $1,199, and $1,399 for the same storage versions respectively. © Unsplash_Daniel Romero Yesterday, it was rumoured that the iPhone 12 Pro would come with a 120Hz ProMotions display however Prosser says there is an internal conflict at Apple. The phones might ship with the features but will not be enabled depending on the battery performance of the two devices. It is worthy to note that Prosser is quite new to the Apple leaks scene, however, he has accurately predicted the launch of Apple products in the recent past. His track record has been on point so far which adds more weight to these leaks. Having said that, the information above is still based on leaks and it is still quite early to determine Appleâs plans. Features could change before the launch of the iPhone 12 series later this year or these leaks could just be untrue. We can only know for sure when Apple launches the new iPhone later this fall. 2. There is no denying the fact that Inception is an immaculately made film, and perhaps will go down in history as one of the best films ever to have been made in that particular genre. The beauty of the film lies in the fact that even 10 years after its initial release, people are still fascinated by the last twist that Nolan throws in. © Legendary Pictures That scene itself has been the subject of heated debate on the Internet for years and will continue to be a topic of discussion perhaps for decades to come. With that being said that, there are a few Bollywood films as well that tried to use this climax twists, and did a fairly good job. © Viacom 18 No we are not saying that they were as good as Inception, but they came pretty damn close. Here are the five Bollywood films that had great climax twists, and stood at par with Nolanâs masterpiece. Again, almost. Talaash To this day, Talaash remains one of the best psychologically challenging films we have made. Pretty much for the entirety of the film, the plot proceeds as a typical crime thriller, set in Mumbai. However, the revelation that comes at the end of the film had audiences gasping in disbelief. It pretty much changed the film and its perception hitherto, on its head. If you havenât watched the film, get out of under the rock that you have been living, and go watch it. You will be in for a treat, trust us. Kahaani This Sujoy Ghosh film has perhaps one of the best cinematic depictions of Kolkata. It showed all the aspects of Kolkata as they are - laidback, lazy, grimy, and yet somehow managing to be the city of joy. The manner in which Vidya Balan and her character faked the pregnancy while searching for her husband was something that the audiences were simply not prepared for. Furthermore, the film was beautifully shot and had tight storytelling. Add to this the stellar performances by actors like Parambrata Chatterjee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Indraneil Sengupta. Kahaani just goes on to show that indeed we can make a fine mystery thriller. And climax twists? We just aced it with this one. Drishyam Surprisingly Drishyam somehow makes the cut. We say surprisingly because we pretty much know the outcome of the film, what had happened, and that the family in question was indeed guilty. However, given the manner in which Ajay Devgn deconstructed police investigations and emerged a step ahead of them, made the film the cult classic that It is. Pretty much everyone who saw the film speculated that the body of the boy must have been destroyed in some way or the other. However, the revelation that the body was buried under the police station, coupled with the final dialogue of the film gives the cinematic experience a whole new meaning. No wonder that this is one of the finest crime to love and India has ever made. A Wednesday Do we really need to explain why A Wednesday makes this list? While watching the film pretty much everyone had assumed that the Naseeruddin Shah was linked to some terrorist organisation and does everything to set the terrorists free. However, the plot twist under which he gets all the terrorists killed and reveals himself to be a regular common old man, who was probably nearing his retirement, left us all with a pit in our stomach. It did not take us even a minute to start feeling sorry for the man and be proud of him. Although not technically a film that was a thriller of any kind, it certainly made a huge impact on the psyche of the people that watched the film. Moreover, it gave the perception of the common man a much-needed makeover. Ugly Ugly genuinely is a masterpiece of a film. Of course, there were some issues with the film, but the direction and the stellar performances that we see in the film are more than enough to make up for them. And oh man, Ronit Roy as a gritty police officer is just spectacular. The end of the film is something that the audience does not see coming, and from what we can tell, neither do any of the characters. Just give it a watch, will you? This sorts out our weekend. What about yours? View the full article
  3. Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation will be backwards compatible with almost 4,000 PlayStation 4 games at launch and will even run better on the next-gen console. Sony had to clarify the backwards compatibility of the console, thanks to an ambiguous statement by Mark Cerny which suggested the console would support the top 100 PS4 games at launch. Sony has now clarified after fan backlash that the console will be able to run almost 4000+ PlayStation 4 games. © YouTube/Sony PlayStation Sony updated a post on its PlayStation blog with more information about the backwards compatibility feature of the PlayStation 5. While the blogpost does confirm that almost every game will be able to run on the console, they still need to be tested individually to optimise the game for the PlayStation 5. In the blogpost update, Sony said: âA quick update on backward compatibility â With all of the amazing games in PS4âs catalogue, weâve devoted significant efforts to enable our fans to play their favourites on PS5. We believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5." Weâre expecting backwards compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on PS5 so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions. Weâre currently evaluating games on a title-by-title basis to spot any issues that need adjustment from the original software developers. In his presentation, Mark Cerny provided a snapshot of the top 100 most-played PS4 titles, demonstrating how well backward compatibility efforts are going. He said, "We have already tested hundreds of titles and are preparing to test thousands more as we move toward launch. We will provide updates on backward compatibility, along with much more PS5 news, in the months ahead. Stay tuned!â © BCCL While the update is quite reassuring, it comes at a time when Sony was met with criticisms from fans. In comparison, the Xbox Series X will support every Xbox One game at launch including titles from Xbox 360 and the original Xbox if the game is playable on the Xbox One console. Sony also faced criticism from fans as the event did not show the console or how it would work. The video presentation by Mark Cerny was supposed to be for game developers and a proper reveal for fans is scheduled sometime later this year. Disappointed with #PS5Reveal The MOST REQUESTED FEATURE is not as great as most wanted, #PlayStation5 will not be backward compatible with PS1, PS2, PS3 & only 100 PS4 games will work at launch We may never again experience the Glory days of PS2, best FIFA Career Mode Era pic.twitter.com/5GwqJLLpEq â Career Mode Insider (@CareerModeInsid) March 18, 2020#PlayStation5 will be backwards compatible... ...with only about 100 PS4 games. Not backwards compatible with PS1-3. pic.twitter.com/m1uxE3JX5q â Oliver Jia (ãªãªãã¼Â·ã¸ã¢) (@OliverJia1014) March 18, 2020Having said that, the PlayStation 5 being compatible with over 4,000 games means players will be able to bring most of their game library with them. It will also remove the need for users to buy their favourite games again on the PlayStation 5. Additionally, we can expect some of the older games to run smoother and at higher frame rates which was not possible on the current generation consoles. If the PlayStation 5 can run games like PUBG, Call of Duty Warzone at higher frame rates, it will give these games a new life amongst its users. If previous games like God of War, Uncharted , The Last of US, Bloodborne and other exclusives will run better on the new console, itâs a good reason to buy the console on its own. 4. E3 may not be happening this year, but that's not stopping Microsoft. The company just decided to make it official and fully reveal the specs of the upcoming Xbox Series X. There's a comprehensive blog post detailing everything from specs to some of the highly anticipated features in action. The blog post has a lot of jargon and numbers in the name of specs. For instance, the upcoming Xbox Series X is powered by a 3.8GHz 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and 1.825GHz RDNA 2-class GPU with 12 teraflops of power. They're coupled with 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and 1TB custom NVME SSD. The Xbox Series X is looking like a very promising device on paper. However, it's not just about the numbers. Microsoft has also talked about a lot of features that actually matter to the users. There's a video in which Microsoft compares the loading times for State of Decay on Xbox One X versus Xbox Series X. The new Xbox manages to load the game in just 7-8 seconds compared to the Xbox One X which takes about 50-51 seconds. You're looking at over 500% faster loading times, which is absolutely insane. Microsoft says the faster loading times have been made possible because of more memory and faster storage. Xbox Series X can almost instantly access games (up to 100GB). We really think this will allow open-world games to be much more immersive with less loading times. Another killer feature that Microsoft showcased is "quick resume". As the name suggests, you'll be able to resume a game even after rebooting your console. And from what we got to see, you'll be able to resume multiple games and move back & forth between them with little to no loading times. That was pretty crazy too. If you're into numbers and like to geek out on specs, then here's the full list - CPU: 8x Cores @ 3.8 GHz (3.66 GHz w/ SMT) Custom Zen 2 CPU GPU: 12 TFLOPS, 52 CUs @ 1.825 GHz Custom RDNA 2 GPU Die Size: 360.45 mm2 Process: 7nm Enhanced Memory: 16 GB GDDR6 w/ 320mb bus Memory Bandwidth: 10GB @ 560 GB/s, 6GB @ 336 GB/s Internal Storage: 1 TB Custom NVME SSD I/O Throughput: 2.4 GB/s (Raw), 4.8 GB/s (Compressed, with custom hardware decompression block) Expandable Storage: 1 TB Expansion Card (matches internal storage exactly) External Storage: USB 3.2 External HDD Support Optical Drive: 4K UHD Blu-Ray Drive Performance Target: 4K @ 60 FPS, Up to 120 FPS The Xbox Series X is releasing during the Holiday season this year, which means we're still quite a few months away from the launch. It'll be interesting to see how it performs against new the PlayStation 5 which is also slated to launch around the same time. View the full article
  5. Yes, you read that right. A UK-based medical research centre has taken upon itself to find a cure for the deadly Coronavirus that is plaguing the entire planet, currently, and has even put life to a halt in several countries. © Reuters According to a report, the Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Centre in London is now looking for around 24 healthy candidates who are willing to be injected with 0C43 and 229E strains of the virus. These will cause minor respiratory problems which will not be as deadly at the Corona but similar in nature, allowing them to study the subject in detail. © Reuters The volunteers will be kept in isolation for a period of 2 weeks, have no physical contact with the world, not exercise and even follow a restricted prescribed diet. The tests, which they will undergo, include taking their nasal swabs and blood tests. However before this experiment can be carried out, the research centre needs official permission from the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency to do anything in this department. © Reuters A lot of pharma companies are undertaking this initiative which will, obviously, make them rich but might also help humanity at large. Over 3600 people have succumbed to the deadly virus already. If given a chance, would you volunteer for 3500 Pounds which is around Rs 3,32741? View the full article
  6. When it comes to smartwatches, the Apple Watch is leading the race in the wearable space. However, OPPO has been wanting to launch a smartwatch of their own and today we got to see our very first glimpse of the Chinese companyâs smartwatch. Vice President for OPPO shared an image of the first render that the company will be launching soon. Whatâs striking is that you may have mistaken it for the Apple Watch. The image was shared on Chinese social media website Weibo and we get a clear look at the upcoming smartwatch. © MensXP From afar, the smartwatch looks awfully similar to the Apple Watch Series 4 or 5 as it has the same curved edges and even has an identical watch face used in marketing materials. If you look closely at the strap, it looks similar to the silicone strap you get with the Apple Watch. © OPPO/Weibo However, there is one slight difference in OPPOâs smartwatch from the Apple Watch, instead of the digital crown on the right side of the smartwatch, it has been substituted with another button. We can only see one side of the smartwatch so it isnât entirely sure whether OPPOâs smartwatch uses a digital crown as well on the other side of the chassis. If you look closely, there is a hole between the buttons that might be for a microphone. This microphone can be used for talking over calls however we donât know whether the watch will be capable of supporting independent LTE connections like the Apple Watch. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla There is a good chance that OPPO might unveil the smartwatch at Mobile World Conference that is set to take place in a few weeks. It could be possible that the smartwatch will be available to buy on March 6th as the render says 'Fri 06' and the next Friday to fall of the sixth of the month is in March. What do you think of OPPOâs new smartwatch? Do you think it resembles the Apple Watch too much? Let us know in the comments below. View the full article

  8. One thing that sets Kartik Aaryan apart from other B-town celebrities is his relatable fashion sense. The latest instance where he wore a pair of sneakers worth Rs. 5,000 proves that he likes to hoard brands that are not just affordable but also easy for all of us to cop. © Viral Bhayani Another thing that's absolutely fascinating about Kartik is the fact that he can pull off anything. Be it a pair of hi-top sneakers with straps and pins or his casual ensembles, he knows how to keep up his fashion game. Take a look at his recent fashion experiment where he was spotted with Sara Ali Khan in a zany pair of sneakers that look nothing like the usual ones he wears. Check it out here © Viral Bhayani © Jimmy Choo Kartik stepped out wearing Jimmy Choo's Diamond Trail Sneakers. Speaking of its construction, this pair looks aesthetically quite pleasing with its edgy toggle fastening and holographic inserts. Furthermore, these sneakers have a chunky rubber sole. These fashion-forward sneakers revved up Kartik's repertoire to new heights. © Jimmy Choo These Diamond sneakers are worth Rs. 64,000. Mind you, this excludes customs and import duties as this pair isn't available in India. Now, when you compare the overall price of these sneakers to diamonds, they are definitely not inexpensive. The diamond's rate varies as per the carat, cut, colour and clarity. The more flawless it is, the higher the prices are. These sneakers with their unique construction absolutely justify the pricing. © Viral Bhayani Speaking of Kartik's outfit, it has a hipster vibe to it and the way he has paired his oversized hoodie with acid wash jeans makes it even more statement-worthy. Clearly, Kartik has topped the fashion game and we cannot wait for more such looks. Hats off! View the full article
  9. 'Avengers: Infinity War': Thor almost lost his eye for good Thor can easily be dubbed as the most beloved character in the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recently it was revealed that Thor could have potentially lost his eye, permanently, in the Avenger universe in Avengers: Infinity War. News reports suggest that Thor wasn't always supposed to get his eye back in the film. Over the last few years, Thor's characters has seen numerous changes, from personality to appearance. His locks snipped, Majlnir destroyed and his eye gorged out by his returned sister Hela. For Thor, in Avengers: Infinity War, most of the character's traits were kept intact but Anthony and Joe Russo made a few changes along the way. One of the most major being, returning Thor's eyesight through Rocket. The eye change has since then become one of his most signature looks, however it wasn't pre-planned from the get-go. Fans can see that Thor still had an eye patch on during his time in Asgard, after he put on a lot of weight. According to Burt, this was because the eye transfer was not written into the script at that point during its development. He was quoted saying, "He didn't have the cyborg eye at this point in the script that he gets in Infinity War, so I was still giving him eye patches or giving him the sunglasses with one dark lens."

  11. Realme has been on a roll in 2019 and the Chinese company is going to close the year with yet another smartphone that costs less than Rs 20,000. Even though there are other alternatives that cost less than Rs 20,000, few can be classified as a good choice as many compromise on features or specifications. The Realme X2 is not one of those phones and comes packed with features which will soon become the norm in the price segment. We've been using the smartphone for a while as a daily driver and here's our full review of the smartphone and the features we feel are great for an everyday user: Design and Display © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla It is quite apparent that the Realme X2 draws inspiration from the Realme XT and X2 Pro in terms of design. The back of the smartphone is probably the first thing you will notice when looking at the phone. The smartphone comes in three colours i.e. Pearl Green, Pearl Blue, and Pearl White. The Pearl Green variant is probably our favourite out of the three colour variants. Much like other smartphones from 2019, the back of the phone has a gradient pattern that refracts light at different angles. The back of the smartphone has a glossy finish which also comes with its own caveat of being a fingerprint magnet. At the back, you will also notice the quad-camera system and the logo branding at the bottom left corner. The camera module protrudes from the body which means it would be better to use the in-box case to offset the camera protrusion. At the front, a 6.4-inch notched display with an in-display fingerprint sensor and slightly thin bezels. It looks like any other smartphone that launched in 2018/2019 from the front and doesn't really have any significant identifying features. Overall, the smartphone looks great from the back, being the marquee feature of the smartphone in the design category. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla When it comes to the display quality of the smartphone, you will not be disappointed by using it to watch videos on OTT platforms and YouTube. The water-drop notch can be a bit of a hindrance in the viewing experience, but overall, it was fun to watch content on this phone. Having said that, the colours on the display are not entirely accurate and this is expected from a smartphone that costs less than Rs 20,000. The brightness levels peak at 417 nits which is good enough for indoor use. The display itself in a Super AMOLED panel and has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. Performance The Realme X2 is powered by the Snapdragon 730G, a chipset targeted for mid-range smartphones that can also handle a bit of gaming. The performance of the smartphone during the course of our review was good enough for an everyday user. The chipset performs as expected and we did not see the smartphone falter in any situation. In terms of gaming, the Realme X2 managed to run popular battle Royale games at 60 FPS at high graphics which is more than what an average user needs. The software itself is also stable enough and there wasn't any lag, forced app crashes and general bugs. The smartphone does heat up a bit while gaming but that is normal for any smartphone today. There is no throttling present or faster battery drain due to heavy usage. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla In terms of benchmark results, the Realme X2 scored a single-core score of 546 and a multi-core score of 1737 during our tests. To put things into perspective, the Realme X2 scores were a bit better than Redmi Note 8 Pro's 495 and 1533 Geekbench 5 scores. For gaming purposes, we ran a simple 3D mark test and the phone scored a respectable 2405 points. Battery and Charging The Realme X2 comes with a 4,000mAh battery that can last easily a day with heavy usage with uses like navigation, web browsing, gaming and content viewing. If you are a moderate user, expect the smartphone to easily last 1.5 days. Realme smartphones also boast quick charging speed than any other smartphone as it uses OPPO's VOOC 4.0 protocol. The Realme X2 supports 30W fast charging and operates at 5 V/5 A. It is capable of charging the Realme X2 to 100% in a little over 70 minutes. Having a fast charger that can fully charge the smartphone in a little over an hour that costs less than Rs 20,000 is always going to be an advantage. Camera © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Realme has been including multiple camera sensors for their smartphones and the X2 is no exception. It comes with a quad-camera setup that consists of a 64MP primary f/1.8, 8MP ultrawide f/2.2, 2MP macro f/2.4 and, 2MP depth sensor, f/2.4. We used the smartphone's camera in numerous settings for our camera test. From the primary sensor, we were able to capture some good shots with accurate colours that were later sharpened by the software for a cleaner look. Details were captured well and in comparison, did a better job than the OnePlus 7T Pro. Using the night mode was a delight when we used it to capture some images at a local bar in the after hours. The ultra-wide sensor has a field of view of 119-degrees, however the quality of the image falls when using the mode. The dynamic range falls considerably and in low-light, you will notice a lot of noise that interferes with the details of the image captured. The macro lens is also good enough to capture details when close to the subject. It isn't the best, but does a fairly good job for a smartphone in this segment. Similarly, we were quite happy to use the portrait mode that uses the main sensor in tandem with the depth sensor. The Realme X2 generally can take great images apart from some obvious issues in the ultra-wide mode. The camera app is easy to use with all the different modes can be accessed easily. The highlight of the Realme X2's camera is the night mode and the 64MP primary camera that will handle all your photography needs easily. Have a look at some of the images we shot with the smartphone below: The Final Say When considering everything about the Realme X2 and in comparison to even some budget flagship smartphones, it is hard not to recommend this phone. It does a great job at delivering good gaming performance, amazing battery life and can be fast charged to full capacity in a little over an hour. For photography enthusiasts, the Realme X2 has everything you need to take quality images, thanks to the different modes available. Shooting in low-light has always been a struggle with smartphones but the Realme X2 tackles that problem well with the dedicated Night Mode. The Realme X2, in our opinion, is an all-rounder device that does not break your bank. View the full article

  13. Winter is coming. No, you fool, get over your Game of Thrones fixation. It isn't Winterfell that's going to be under attack in the real world. The approaching winter season in Delhi-NCR only means that people have to get ready for smog-laden chilly mornings, low-visibility due to crop burning and not so much due to fog, breathe PM 2.3-heavy air and survive coughing fits, itchy throat and watery eyes because Delhi is legit choking already, and it's not even Diwali yet! © Twitter/ExpressPodcasts Owing to the grim reality of air quality in the Delhi-NCR region, the Central Pollution Control Board has recommended private and government in the area to allow its people to work from home. The board has also advised people to carpool while travelling to and from work, while schools have been asked to provide school buses so the use of private vehicles can be lessened. © Twitter/Weatherindia The proposition has been presented to various government organisations today by the CPCB-led Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) taskforce. An advisory for the same will be sent out to Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida. We really hope our boss (as well as the HR peeps) is reading this, and they will do their bit to save precious lives. Right, boss?
  14. Robert Downey Jr. announced his plans to clean the Earth with the help of Nanotechnology during Amazon's Re:Mars conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday night. But that's not the only exciting announcement we heard during the keynote. The folks over at Amazon also unveiled the latest Prime Air drone design, which the company says it wants to launch in the coming months. Before we talk about the drone itself, check out this video showing the new drone in action - As you can see, the new Prime Air drone is essentially a hybrid aircraft that can do vertical as well as forward flights. The takeoff and landing look particularly smooth too. The video itself does a good job of showing us the drone's flying capability and it seems to be pretty good as far as flying is concerned. As for the safety features, well Amazon's consumer worldwide CEO Jeff Wilke took a good amount of time to emphasise the same during the keynote. According to him, the new drone will take advantage of a combination of hardware components and machine learning models to safely deliver the packages. © Amazon The drone that was showcased during the event is apparently fitted with thermal cameras, depth cameras, and sonar to detect hazards. It also has onboard computers that use machine learning to automatically detect obstacles and navigate around them. “We know customers will only feel comfortable receiving drone deliveries if the system is incredibly safe. From paragliders, power lines, to the corgi in your backyard, this drone has safety covered,” said Wilke during the presentation. © Reuters The rotors of the drone, as you can see, are also covered for safety and the packages for delivery are carried safely inside the fuselage in the middle. Prime Air delivery drones have six degrees of freedom as opposed to four in the normal quadcopters. It will allow for more dynamic and nimble flight. Amazon says the goal is to take advantage of drone delivery tech to fly up to 15 miles and deliver packages under five pounds to customers in less than 30 minutes. As mentioned earlier, we still don't exactly know when the Prime Air drone deliveries will begin since Amazon is waiting for FAA's approval. But that's just Federal Aviation Administration, which is a government body of the United States. For its use in India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation will have to approve it. And if history is something to go by, it may take a long time. So let's just rely on the delivery guys for our packages now.
  15. While it is the general belief that being a celebrity who enjoys considerable fame, means you eat, breathe, roll around and even poop cash, the same might not be true at all times. People's celebrity status often makes them seem almost 'invincible', but what we tend to forget most often is that at the end of the day, even our most favourite and top celebrity is human, and that means they are not above the diktats of fate. The wheels of fortune can turn for anyone, no matter how successful and famous you are at any given time, and these five popular Bollywood celebrities are proof that when it comes to money, you can never be too confident. One wrong investment, one callous move and your entire bank balance can go for a complete toss. These 5 Bollywood actors lived to tell the tales of their bankruptcy and here is everything you should know. 1. Amitabh Bachchan © Instagram One of Bollywood's all-time biggest stars, Amitabh Bachchan had once shared with the media how he went bankrupt in 2000 with Rs 90 crore as debt. Reportedly, 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' became his only saving grace. He had said, “In the year 2000, when the entire world was celebrating the new century, I was celebrating my disastrous fortune. There were no films, no money, no company, a million legal cases against the company and the tax authorities had put notice of recovery on my home.” 2. Preity Zinta © Instagram Preity too didn't seem to have great luck donning the producer's hat. Reportedly, after her production 'Ishkq in Paris' crashed at the box office, the film's writer-director Abbas Tyrewala filed a case against Preity for non-payment of dues. Apparently, Preity had to put her apartment on rent to clear the dues, and along with a little help from good friend Salman Khan she got out of the soup. 3. Govinda © Instagram Govinda's bad luck with finances came into light when he confessed about being broke at his daughter's film premiere. An emotional Govinda shared how he barely managed to get by for days and struggled to even hire a taxi or rickshaw. 4. Abhay Deol © Instagram Reportedly, Abhay Deol too paid a heavy price (literally) for turning producer. His home production 'One By Two' was a major failure at the box office and made the actor suffer a huge financial loss. Things apparently got so bad that he had to sell his homes to repay all the loans. 5. Shah Rukh Khan © Instagram Megastar and Bollywood 'Badshah' Shah Rukh Khan was also on the verge of going completely broke after his home production 'Ra.One' and its disastrous innings at the box office almost sent him packing. King Khan confessed that the production of the film cost him a fortune and the film's crashing almost crushed his bank balance.
  16. It has been more than a day-and-a-half since Lasith Malinga delivered that extra slow ball as the final delivery of the 2019 season of the Indian Premier League, which not only provided the Sri Lankan with the most important wicket of the league but also his team their fourth title, making them the most successful IPL franchise in history. Sure, social media hailed the unorthodox pacer as the saviour of Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians and yes we had a good laugh with whatever MI owner Nita Ambani was chanting during the final stages of the match, but there was one person whose heroics went unnoticed amongst all the noise. When Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings failed to come up with a steady batsman on the crease, former member of the Australian cricket team and one of the most celebrated cricketers in the history of the IPL, opener Shane Watson remained the unshaken cog of whatever competition CSK were able to give MI. © IPL - Twitter Even though the Aussie did not have the most consistent season this year, Watson returned to his old self, as the man who helped the 'Whistle Podu' team win the championship exactly one year ago. Scoring 80 off just 59 balls, Watson almost won Chennai their fourth title, single-handedly had it not been for that failed attempt to score an extra single that got the all-rounder run out. What makes his efforts a lot more impressive is that Watson played a good portion of his innings with an extensively bruised and bloodied left knee. After losing the final, CSK's veteran spinner, Harbhajan Singh put up an Instagram story talking about Watson's injury: © Instagram - Harbhajan Singh “Can you guys see the blood on his knee... He got 6 stitches after the game...Got injured while diving but continued to bat without telling anyone,” wrote the 38-year-old athlete. The Super Kings consist of the oldest cricketers of the league on an average and despite the fact that in the past two years, they have won one title and reached the final once again, which, if you ask us, sounds like a great team but replacing older players like Watson, Singh and MS Dhoni is inevitable.
  17. 'Avengers: Endgame' was incredible, yes, but we were still robbed of a very important scene that would have made it even better, IMHO. Apparently, a Thor vs Thor sequence was being planned, but it ultimately never saw the light of the day. Not cool, Marvel, we deserved to see Thor kicking his own ass. Now that the spoiler ban is lifted, the Russo Brothers are openly talking about everything 'Endgame'-related and the topic of an almost fight scene also came up. During an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the directors talked about a fight scene they had originally planned between Thor and well, Thor, but it would have been “Lebowski Thor facing off against Buff Thor”. Joe Russo said, “We did have a sequence where they finally confront each other in Asgard. I can't remember exactly why we moved off it,” with Anthony Russo adding, “I think it got overly complicated and we liked Cap vs Cap better.” Well, considering how much they had to perfectly execute in one movie and how the Cap vs Cap scene was one of the best things about the movie, it's okay to let this one slide. As much as I would've loved to see the showdown between the Thors, Cap's very self-aware fight with the 2012 version of him was great. Joe said, “Once you start developing it, you can see how crowded it gets. We wanted to make sure we had story space to create real conflict for the Avengers that were going back [in time].” Moreover, we maybe got a better storyline with present-day Thor going back in time to collect the Reality Stone from Asgard. The conversation he had with his mother was extremely important for him and you could really see it during the rest of the movie. A Thor who had lost everyone, and also lost the chance to kill Thanos in time had just given up, he was down in the dumps and Frigga really did help him out, and honestly, no one other than his own mother could've helped him at that point. And, that's exactly what the Russos also intended. Anthony said, “I think there we also deferred to the storyline of Thor and his mother, which was more resonate. That was more part of Thor's journey and repair than confronting his former self.”
  18. This is the most common question asked by anyone trying to lose weight - “How do I lose the tummy fat and my love handles?” Well, yes. This query makes total sense. After all, everybody wants a flat tummy and we get sold every day on products that promise results with minimal effort. Products like: “Use this special ab machine and get a flat stomach in minutes!” “Flat tummy in 21 days via FitTea." “Eat this superfood to target belly fat and get toned!” “Put this cream on your tummy and burn fat in 10 mins” "Drink Green Tea, it increases metabolism and decreases body fat”, as promoted vigorously by an already skinny Bollywood actress. And surprisingly, people fall for it! If you clicked on this article link for the next magic solution, I am sorry. There is no such thing! Wake up! Instead, I'm going to give you some actual information which can help you in getting a flat stomach: 1) Nutrition: a) Consume fewer calories than you are currently eating and drinking, aka calorie deficit. In order to do that, you need to know how much you currently eat and you need a plan to eat less, and then, you need to track how consistent you are with it. To know how much you eat? Use an app like MyFitnessPal or FatSecret to diligently track your calorie intake and then adjust your numbers down from there. b) Consume more fruits and vegetables: I'm talking about green veggies, not potatoes here. Green veggies have a high amount of fibre and micronutrients which helps you in general well being. © Getty Images Fruits are also high in fibre and micronutrients. If you're facing a problem regarding your bowel movements then you should implement them in your diet. c) Eat enough protein: This one should be fixed in your nutritional strategy. Animal sources at every meal for non-vegetarians and for vegetarians, whey protein, grains and dairy products. This helps to preserve, repair and build the muscle. This will keep you satiated during your fat loss phases. d) Eat Carbs: Carbs are your primary source of fuel. It gives you instant energy to blast your workout. Pre and post workout carbs are a must to build a good body composition. Carbs make you bigger and fill your muscles with water. e) Eat dietary fats: Fats are calorie dense but eating in moderation can help you avoid hormonal issues, joint issues and various other health problems. Dietary fats can come from nuts, olive oil, eggs, nut butter, etc. 2) Training a) Incorporate compound movements- Learn the exercise form to build your core strength. Full body movements like the squat, the bench press, the deadlift or the overhead press engage and train your core. Implement big movements properly in your training plan so that you can lift heavy overtime and gain a good amount of muscle. © Getty Images b) Machines and isolation movements are your best friend: These specific exercises like hack squat, chest press, cable curls can directly work your muscles and can help you to gain a good chunk of muscle. Incorporating them with compound movements are the best thing when it comes down to build a good physique. c) Train your core: Pick 2-3 exercises and stick to them at least for 8-10 weeks. Don't swap your exercises every week like your so-called favourite bodybuilder. Swapping exercises will keep you away from progressive overload and won't grow your physique. Progressive overload is the secret sauce to build muscle. d) Do some cardio: Cardio isn't bad if you have a balanced training plan. Cardio can be a great tool to increase your energy expenditure and hey it's not necessary to do cardio in the gym, you can count your steps and keep a daily target. 3) Last But Not The Least, SLEEP- Sleep is very important, as important as nutrition and training. Less sleep can hammer your testosterone levels and recovery. If you don't recover from your training stress, you might end up losing your present muscle tissue. It can also make more difficult to lose body fat – particularly around the mid area, which you want to lose as soon as possible. 19. Spoilers ahead. If I ask any Marvel fan which quote started the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, they would tell me one thing - He's fucking Iron Man and he wants the world to know that! This was such a huge defining moment for the MCU. What a line, so simple yet so powerful, and it made the first 'Iron Man' movie so much better. Side note, Happy Birthday to the first Iron Man movie! 'I am Iron Man', the last line spoken in the first 'Iron Man' movie made a comeback in 'Avengers: Endgame' as well, of course. 'Iron Man' was RDJ's first appearance as the iconic character that changed the world of Marvel forever and 'Endgame' marked the last time, sadly. So, it's kind of symbolic to see everything come full circle, just like his character arc did. But, it came as such a surprise to me that the iconic line almost didn't make it to the movie. In the last moment, during the final battle in 'Endgame', Thanos finally has the gauntlet with all the Infinity Stones and says “I am inevitable”. At that moment, all hope was lost for a second and we thought everyone would disintegrate again when Thanos snaps his fingers again. But, Tony Stark comes to the rescue and prevents the repeat of the final 'Infinity War' scene. He steals - very sneakily, I might add - all the stones from Thanos and delivers the one line, the best line at that moment - 'I am Iron Man' - right before snapping his fingers and making Thanos and his entire army disintegrate. Turns out, that line was actually a last minute addition. He originally wasn't supposed to say anything, but the Russo Brothers talked about how difficult it was to nail the final line. They said, “We were in the editing room going, 'He has to say something. This a character who has lived and died by quips.' And we just couldn't, we tried a million different last lines.” Then, Jeff Ford, the Russo Brothers' right-hand man and editor on 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', 'Civil War', 'Avengers: Infinity War', and 'Endgame' gave the best suggestion - “Why don't we just go full circle with it and say 'I am Iron Man'?” They loved it so much that they immediately went, “Get the cameras! We have to shoot this tomorrow.” And, the rest is history. I would personally like to thank Jeff because without that final line in 'Endgame', the movie wouldn't have been the same.
  20. Why do some companies make really hideous clothes and then try to sell them at a really high price? Because they know that no would actually buy it and they'll get free publicity out of it? Well, that honestly seems like the only reason for a monstrosity like this to exist. View this post on Instagram Two words: Denim panties. Yes, I know we're giving them exactly what they want by writing about it right now but I can't help it. They're so unsettling to look at and people are confused, and just disgusted with them. 21. Even if you are just a casual fan of cricket, you know that the former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is famous for his unorthodox style of playing the game. Be it his uncanny ways of stumping the opponents from behind the wicket or the unique commentary as the keeper, Dhoni's mind works in mysterious ways. In more than 15 years of brilliance on the cricketing field, Dhoni's atypical methods have very seldom failed to provide the cricketer with desirable results and have continued to make his fans marvel at the way Dhoni's genius works. The man has even contributed to the game by coming up with a shot of his own! Popularly known as the 'Helicopter shot' this extraordinary maneuver isn't the prettiest shot in the world but it surely gets the job done for 'Thala'. In an unprecedented combination of wrist movement and beastly power from the shoulders, Dhoni's 'Helicopter shot' normally hits the ball on a low point while making the bat go in a circular motion instead of the typical 'above the shoulder' follow-through. While this is MSD's own creation, him attempting the shot has become extremely rare as his raw nature evolved with the help of experience and practice. However, there's a video that's surfaced on YouTube that shows Dhoni trying to hit the iconic shot on almost every single ball delivered by the Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif. According to the video, India were in a comfortable spot requiring just 28 runs from 30 ball to win the game when Pak bowler Mohammad Asif came in to bowl the fifth last over of the game. It seems 'Mahi Bhai' was in some kind of hurry as he scored a couple of boundaries and even a maximum using just the Helicopter. He also hit two more deliveries in similar fashion but failed to collect runs on those. We'll never know what goes inside the cool and calm mind of the future ICC Hall of Famer. All we can do is sit back and acknowledge his greatness.
  22. Respawn Entertainment's 'Apex Legends' is currently enjoying its time as one of the most popular Battle Royale titles of all time. The game recently hit 50 million players worldwide, which clearly means it's making some noise in the industry. Now that 'Apex Legends' has established a place for itself in the industry, it's important that we turn our attention to the future and see what Respawn Entertainment is cooking for us. Will there be a new map? New legends to play with? Yes, there are a lot of burning questions, so, here's everything we know about the Apex Legends battle pass: Apex Legends Roadmap Respawn Entertainment has always been pretty optimistic about the title and it even revealed its year one roadmap for the game during its launch last month. Here below is a peek at the roadmap: © Respawn Entertainment Yes, 'Apex Legends' season one will begin this month and the first battle pass will be available to purchase. We still don't have an exact date, but an anonymous source claims that March 12 will be the big day. Every new season, as you can see, will bring a new weapon (hopefully multiple weapons), legends, loot, and a new battle pass each time. We think there will also be an option to buy an annual battle pass, although there's no official word on that just yet. If everything goes as per the plan, then we'll get a new season every three months, which means the players are in for a slew of content throughout the year. Battle Pass Contents In the official Apex Legends FAQ page, the developer has clearly mentioned that the Battle Pass will reward players with exclusive cosmetic items. From legends and weapon skins to character quips and banner poses, we're expecting to see an influx of rewards. You'll also get Apex Packs, which will give you a chance of earning more cosmetic items. © Twitter The FAQ page also makes it very clear that new legends will not be a part of the Battle Pass. That, in all honesty, does make a lot of sense as the legends are a more valuable commodity and you can't have too many legends like, say, the skins. That being said, we think you'll be able to buy the new legends with Apex Coins or even with Legend tokens. Speaking of new legends, there are some leaks which suggest that we'll see a new legend named 'Octane' with some impressive abilities like restoring health, deployable jump pad, and more. We don't have all the info yet, but this is what the new legend could look like - © Electronic Arts Will There Be New Challenges? Challenges are the crux of every successful Battle Royale games like 'Fortnite'. Incentivize your challenges with high-quality rewards, and you can have the players engaged in your game for a long time. And if 'Apex Legends' truly wants to go head-to-head with the likes of 'Fortnite', then challenges would be a good place to start. However, there's no indication that the 'Apex Legends' Battle Pass will have any challenges just yet. © Respawn Entertainment How Much Will The Battle Pass Cost Respawn has remained tight-lipped about the Battle Pass so far, so your guess is as good as ours. But we hope 'Apex Legends' will undercut Fortnite's Battle Pass, which costs a little less than $10.
  23. When you have so much money that you don't even know what to do with it, you start spending it on honestly the most bizarre, frivolous things. Case in point - Drake's new diamond encrusted iPhone case. Oh, and it apparently cost him $400,000 which is exactly â¹2,85,92,000. Basically, while we're all struggling to even afford an iPhone, he spent the money it would take to buy, say 400 iPhones, on a single phone case. I mean, it's his money and he can do whatever he wants with it, so Champagne Papi just decided to call everyone a broke bitch at the same time. Well, here's the cover, and please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this is a little tacky. View this post on Instagram Because we can't do basic! Diamond iPhone case cover for our friend @champagnepapi ðð¼ðð¼ðð¼ A post shared by JASON OF BEVERLY HILLS (@jasonofbeverlyhills) on Feb 14, 2019 at 5:21am PST Not so basic, for sure. But, I still have some questions - What will happen when a new iPhone comes and it's time for Drake to upgrade? Will he stick to his current iPhone or drop another half a million dollars on a case? Is he being this extra just because he has a song called 'hotline bling' and this is literally hotline bling come to life? Does this case offer any extra protection when his phone inevitably falls? Will the diamonds prevent a broken screen? But, most importantly, I'm just scared of him losing his phone or someone stealing it. I mean, it would hurt us if we lost our iPhone, but he would not just lost his iPhone but 3 crore worth of diamonds as well. It hurts just thinking about it. Drake, be careful man, your phone is probably a target now.
