After being a background dancer and a choreographer, Arshad Warsi finally made his acting debut in the year 1996 with Tere Mere Sapne produced by Amitabh Bachchan & Jaya Bachchan’s ABCL. At a recent press conference for his upcoming film Bachchhan Paandey, Arshad Warsi along with Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Farhad Samji were asked about their godfathers in the Hindi film industry. Arshad named Amitabh Bachchan and Tere Mere Sapne director Joy Augustine and went on to add that they “abandoned” him. © ABCL He said, “I would say Mr B (Amitabh Bachchan). I started my career with ABCL, Joy Augustine, they got me into the profession. But then they left me, abandoned me. So, I don't know what to call them. Godfather or what, I don't know”. Take a look at the video below: Amitabh Bachchan had started ABCL or Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd and the first Hindi film he produced under his banner was Tere Mere Sapne. Besides Arshad Warsi, the film also featured Chandrachur Singh, Priya Gill and Simran Bagga. Answering the same question, Jacqueline Fernandez called filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh her godfather for launching her in Bollywood with the 2009 film Aladin alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Amitabh Bachchan & Sanjay Dutt. Akshay Kumar called filmmaker Pramod Chakraborty and his makeup man who introduced him to the filmmaker. Kriti, on the other hand, named multiple people who have helped shape her career including Sajid Nadiadwala, Sabbir Khan and Dinesh Vijan. Farhad Samji credited Salman Khan for giving him work as a lyricist, Rohit Shetty for hiring him as a writer and Akshay Kumar for putting his faith in him as a filmmaker. © Twitter/Arshad Warsi As for Bachchhan Paandey, the film is a remake of Telugu hit Jigarthanda. It features Akshay Kumar as a gangster, Kriti Sanon as a struggling filmmaker and Arshad Warsi as a small-time actor. The Farhad Samji directorial is slated to release on March 18. Aamir Khan gets emotional after watching Amitabh Bachchan?s ?Jhund?

Aamir Khan lauded Amitabh Bachchan?s 'Jhund' after the film left him emotional -
The early 2000s Bollywood movies really hit different! I mean, sure! There are good movies even now that we love to watch. But a lot of us would agree that the idea of watching a good Bollywood family film from the early 2000s on a chill Sunday afternoon is so soothing. Take, for instance, Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham! © Dharma Productions It is one of the finest Bollywood and especially Karan Johar films that was almost perfect in every sense. The music, the acting, the family drama, and the star power of Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, and Kajol, the movie was grand in every way and people still love watching it. Now, while the movie had such a great overall vibe of positivity, did you know that the actual behind-the-scenes reality was a lot different? Yep! That's right! Director Karan Johar once revealed how the movie sets were an epitome of ego clashes, something that was not good for actor Hrithik Roshan. © Instagram/Karan Johar © Hrithik Roshan Karan revealed how Hrithik, who will next be seen in Vikram Vedha, was 'ignored' by most stars on the movie sets. Speaking on his 'unfair' treatment in his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy, Karan revealed how the overall atmosphere on the sets of the movie was not welcoming and how Hrithik was distanced by other stars due to the success of his debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. “It was unfair because he was too junior, and Shah Rukh was already such a big star. But that was a phase when one or two of Shah Rukh’s films had gone wrong and the media had started projecting Hrithik up there. "The negativity that crept in was not justified or correct, and it was really sad. I felt Hrithik was the only one during the course of the shooting who needed a little hand-holding. See, the Bachchans didn’t have that equation with him. Shah Rukh was a bit distant at that time because of everything that was happening. Kajol was Team Shah Rukh.” said Karan. Karan also revealed how he felt he needed to make Hrithik more comfortable on the sets. © BCCL “I felt I needed to hold his hand a bit. And we developed a really good friendship. We got close to each other— he was a bit of a lost child in this whole lot. And Hrithik, anyway, is slightly awkward around people. He’s not the most people-friendly person. Now he’s become a lot better.” said Karan. While that seems to be really long ago, Hrithik is reported to join forces with Shah Rukh and Salman in what would be a spy-film series.
