  3. The only movie that is being discussed right now throughout the length and breadth of the country, is The Kashmir Files. Perhaps in the history of Indian cinema, it has happened for the first time that a movie has garnered so much attention from the common man, despite having no big names or groundbreaking promotions under its belt. Also, it is interesting to note that most of 'mainstream Bollywood' has maintained an awkward silence when it comes to the unexpected success of the film that's still snowballing and has just started to gather momentum in the public domain. View this post on Instagram While the film industry's silence has been palpable, here are 7 Bollywood celebs who have come forward and congratulated director Vivek Agnihotri, Anupam Kher, and the entire team of The Kashmir Files for its runaway success in the box office as well as the public's psyche. 1. 4. Growing up in a world where we had no OTT platforms, YouTube or access to Cineplexes, adult rated movies obviously piqued the interest of every teenager. Once we were all grown up and access to these things became easy, a lot of people understood that it was an over hyped concept. Not all ‘A’ rated movies are classics, or tastefully made to cater to a certain section of the audience. Some films are more weird than sexy and here are 5 such films which left us quite bummed: 1. B.A PassThe neo-noir movie was based on a short story and talks about a married woman ushering a young college boy into the world of *** and becoming a gigolo for older women. While the concept and topic was interesting, the movie lacked treatment and the *** scenes were a little weird. Full marks to Shilpa Shukla though for her bold act in the movie. Her performance was strong. 2. GirlfriendBollywood’s extremely bold attempt at trying its hand at Lesbian romance in an age when the India audience was not ready for it. Starring Isha Koppikar and Amrita Arora, the movie gets all the appreciation for attempting a bold story line. However, it all ends there only. 3. SinsShiney Ahuja as a Father of the church who treads the path of forbidden romance with a young girl named Rosemary did not go down well with the audience and the movie was weird in so many ways. The movie angered a certain section of the Indian audience and some people just didn’t like Shiney’s acting. 4. HawasBased on Richard Gere’s Unfaithful, this one stars Kaliyon Ka Chaman girl Meghna Naidu and follows the story of a housewife who finds solace in the arms of another man. While the story was borrowed, it was translated weirdly on the screen for some reason! 5. Grand MastiThe Masti series was a big commercial hit, but Grand Masti was one movie whose story line we just could not fathom. The story shows Amar, Prem and Meet who decide to go to their college reunion and then problem follows. View the full article
  5. There is something extraordinary about college life. No matter where you are in life, one phone call from your college buddy and you are right back to being that young lad or girl sitting on the campus staircase or at the canteen, discussing life after college. MX Player’s new series Campus Diaries is like that old buddy who takes you back in time to reminisce about all the masti and dosti of the good old college days. Amidst critically acclaimed and much-loved shows like Kota Factory, Panchayat, Aspirants and Engineering Girls - I believe Campus Diaries is the next big youth drama series to watch out for. This is a true-blue coming of age drama that starts with the first day of college at Excel University. It takes you through the best, sometimes tough, personality shaping and career-defining years at the University. MX Player Created by Prem Mistry and Abhishek Yadav, Campus Diaries manages to touch upon many societal issues, one of them being ragging and rampant drug abuse. The very first episode introduces us to the foreign return Raghav. Expelled from his old university for possessing drugs, Raghav is trying hard to fit in the new crowd. On his first day at Excel, he refuses to give in to an attempt at ragging. His fierce stance sets the tone for the show - nothing too preachy! Catch a quick glimpse of the show here: Campus Diaries is not just about any one student. It chronicles the life of 5 friends who form a lifelong bond with each other. There’s the yaaron ka yaar politically inclined Sudheer (played by Harsh Beniwal), the forever friend-zoned guy, Abhilash (played by Ritvik Sahore), the popular class rebel, Sushmita (played by Salonie Patel) and the type A class topper and girl-next-door, Sanya (played by Srishti Ganguli Rindani). It also sees Saloni Gaur as Priyanka, a righteous and independent girl who is a strong adversary for Sudheer and goes up against him in the elections for Hostel Secretary. From awkward first dates to hook-up sessions, smoking up and toxic exes, Campus Diaries touches upon deeper issues that mould our personality at an early age. It also highlights issues like discrimination based on a societal bias that leads to a deep-seated shift in our personality. MX Player The fast-paced narrative makes Campus Diaries an entertaining binge-watch. The 40-minute episode runtime doesn’t leave you bored or heading for the remote! Our Verdict:Add this one to your must-watch list. With 12 entertaining episodes, Campus Diaries takes you on a nostalgic journey back to college and makes you want to ditch the online model to hit campus again. You can start streaming all the episodes of Campus Diaries on MX Player for free right here. View the full article
  6. The thing about social conditioning is, it is deep-rooted and is hard to shake off like an obsessive lover who just can't get the meaning of a ‘no’. It moulds you and your action at such a subconscious level, that most of the time you don’t even realise having been influenced by societal norms and stereotypes. One of the most common one being men expected to pay for food on a date. You see, the time when such an unspoken rule was set was probably one where men would be out and about earning a livelihood while women were still constrained to their houses. It became natural for the guy to offer to pay, considering he would be the one earning and asking her out. via GIPHY But from then to now, a lot has changed. Women are now working and earning just as much as (in most cases, even more than) men and with progressive dating apps at our disposal, even making the first move at asking a guy out. Which is why, if today a guy contemplates over buying a woman dinner or going dutch for it, we don’t blame him. Instead, we encourage him. While the entire act of paying for a date when you’re a man is passed off as an act of chivalry, it won’t take away from your manhood or manners if you choose not to. However, having said that, it might still be a good idea to consider expressing the same in a manner that comes off as neither offensive, nor miserly. Here are 3 ways to ask your date to go dutch with you: 1. Bring It Up Before The Actual Date © iStock The easiest way to go about it would be to bring it up early in the conversation before the two of you settle on going on a date. It won’t just make things less awkward on the actual date, but would also help you both understand which school of thought you follow and where one comes from. Last we checked, it’s never too bad to know more about your date! 2. Offer To Pay Half Upfront © iStock A rather direct approach but one that will set a precedent for the times to come. When I say be upfront and offer to pay your half, be mindful to not sound condescending but polite. It may or may not take your date by surprise, but regardless of it, be sure to keep your half of the bill on the table promptly to send a message across. 3. Alternate Paying © iStock Another way could be to take care of the entire bill the first time, while also establishing how your date could take you out the next time around. This way, there won’t be a tussle of two people paying at the same time and your intentions would come across as much less offensive. Also, second date guaranteed! View the full article

  8. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's love story was not an ordinary one. The two met on the sets of a shampoo commercial, and that's how their tale started to flourish. They, eventually, became the 'It' couple of India, and no matter how much they tried to keep their relationship under wraps, their love for each other spoke volumes in their pictures. © Instagram/Anushka Sharma In 2014 though, Anushka made a statement saying, “they are not hiding anything and that they are just two normal people in a relationship”. And so, they finally made their first appearance in November 2014. The couple was then seen celebrating several occasions together. While Anushka would travel with Virat for cricket tours, Virat, on the other hand, would surprise her on the sets of her movies. © Instagram/Virat Kohli The couple got married in 2017 in a fairytale wedding. It was so surreal that the pictures and videos do rounds on the internet even now. Anushka and Virat announced that they would be parents to their first child in 2020. They now have a beautiful daughter named Vamika, who arrived in January 2021. © YouTube/Bollywood masala Recently, Virat opened up about his first-ever meeting with the actress and what clicked between them. He spoke to Dinesh Karthik before India's Test series in England in a candid video and said, “I joke around with everyone. I was joking around with her as well. She said, ‘it was the first time I saw someone around me joking about the things I have experienced as a child.’ So, that really connected.” © Instagram/Virat Kohli The skipper was nervous around her during the commercial shoot and ended up cracking a joke that did not go too well. In one of the earlier interviews, he said he looked like a fool as the gag was awkward. However, once they started connecting, they enjoyed each other's company. What a week it has been! Spoke to the superstar of world cricket about fatherhood, his love life, spirituality, social media, leadership and ofcourse Team INDIA Coming soon! #ENGvIND @imVkohli @SkyCricket pic.twitter.com/U0iNQYntzD — DK (@DineshKarthik) August 2, 2021 He said, "She is tall as well, and she was told that I am not 6 feet or plus and ‘you must not wear massive heels or anything.’ Anushka walked in and was looking taller than me. I said, ‘Didn’t you get a higher pair of heels than these?’ She was like, ‘Excuse me?’, I said, ‘I am just joking!” © Instagram/Anushka Sharma But first impressions aren't everything, and we are so glad the couple got another chance or else 'Virushka' would've never existed. Virat also spoke about how he wished his father was alive to meet Vamika. This Father's day do something memorable and make it special with your father. #HappyFathersDay #ComeOutAndPlay pic.twitter.com/amwaFOuqfB — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) June 17, 2018 When asked the same during the candid conversation, Virat said, “He hasn’t seen me play. Now with our daughter, I have seen the happiness on my mother’s face. You sit down and think, what if he was still here.” © Instagram/Anushka Sharma Currently, the couple and their daughter are in England and often share pictures of fun times with the team and the family. 9. As things go, fame and money may get your tickets to those fancy parties, travel destinations, and other desirable things, but what they certainly won't get you is privacy. © Istock Photo That's pretty much been the way things have been for Bollywood actors and other celebrities who are absolutely hounded by paparazzi wherever they go. Well, one Bollywood newbie who is becoming more familiar with this trend of stalking by paparazzi is 32-year-old Meezan Jaffrey. © BCCL For a couple of years now, Meezan, who is the son of actor, dancer, and comedian Javed Jaffrey, has been linked with Navya Naveli Nanda, who is the granddaughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. © BCCL Meezan, who denies dating Navya, says that while many stories have been up about the two friends, the reports have certainly made it awkward for him to even visit Jalsa, the Bachchan home. The actor, who made his debut in 2018 in Malaal, says that the constant rumors have certainly been unfair for both, especially Navya. "It's been such a long time since someone asked me about Navya. I was promoting Malaal, it was like boom boom boom, coming my way. But honestly, me and Navya are really close friends and I think because of me, her name has come up in a lot of place and that is unfair." "It's her private life. I don't want to include any of her family. It's really unfair to be talking about someone else at this point of time." said Meezan, while speaking to a publication. Meezan says that the paparazzi can follow him as they are aware of his car and number plate, and often know when he visits Navya at Jalsa. © BCCL The actor even recalled how even his family had questions for him back home due to the dating rumors. "At that time, it was awkward for me to enter my own house. My parents were giving me looks. And they were like 'what is this?' and I was like 'even I don't know'. I last went there (Jalsa) when they hosted a Diwali bash. The entire industry was there," he said while speaking with Hindustan Times. Meezan had earlier spoken about his friendship with Navya. “We are from the same friends’ circle, she’s my sister’s bestie and a really good friend. I’m not in a relationship with anyone.” he had said. View the full article
  10. There's a lot of hype going on around Haseen Dilruba. The story revolves around a girl named Rani, who has an extra-marital affair. An unpredictable scene comes forward after Rani's husband dies, and she becomes the suspect for the calculated murder. The tale is a perfect mix of love and temptations. Since there are multiple sides to every story, the movie has an interesting catch to it, as per the trailer. View the full article
  11. The Indian cricket team is currently in the middle of a 20-day break from the sport and have been allowed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to explore the United Kingdom, while adhering to the COVID-19 protocol set in place by the British government. This means that some of the cricketers are now looking forward to attending Wimbledon, others are hoping to get their hands on a couple of Euro Cup tickets, while the rest may wish to do some sightseeing. View this post on Instagram For Dinesh Karthik , however, the priority was to visit an English Saloon and get himself a fresh haircut. The cricketer-turned commentator therefore decided to visit a barber shop in the vicinity along with Team India all-rounder Washington Sundar, and ended up finding himself in a pretty awkward situation. In a video recently shared by Sundar from his official Twitter handle, Karthik could be seen sitting in his seat motionlessly, while wearing a barber’s cape, a helpless smile on his face and his eyes looking around awkwardly. DK looking Sundar! 🤪 @DineshKarthik pic.twitter.com/KK09v0Gn0i — Washington Sundar (@Sundarwashi5) June 25, 2021 After watching the video, even the fans were wondering why Karthik’s smile looked as if he was crying on the inside. Yoooo why does he look like he's internally crying!?!?!?!!! Help 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/lv8gozf48R — Adisha Banvar (@adishashasha) June 25, 2021 Dk be like : ye mc jaldi kar na — अपराधी (@criminal_rn) June 25, 2021 — Aditya Borkar (@adityaB1996) June 25, 2021 In the recently concluded World Test Championship final, Karthik made a stunning debut as a commentator and ended up impressing the viewers from all over the world with his wit, information and knowledge of the game. On the other hand, Sundar, who was selected for the Team India squad for the WTC and the upcoming five-match Test series against England, had to sit out as a reserve with the two all-rounder positions being filled by Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. View this post on Instagram The 20-day break for the Men in Blue is expected to get over on 14th July when all of them will reunite in London to resume practice for the England series. Upon recent negotiations between BCCI secretary Jay Shah and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Virat Kohli and Co. will also get two warm-up matches at Durham ahead of the series. These will be intra-squad in nature, possibly keeping in mind the added risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus if playing against an external squad. View the full article

  13. You've already read the title and know what this piece is about. It's likely that you unfortunately have had an experience of the pain we speak of here (in that case you deserve a cookie and a hug, because uff) or you want to avoid it, in which case high five because you're smart. Really, no one should have to endure the pain of a nicked testicle. *Shivering even as I type this tbh* via GIPHY Now some of you may just go 'hey why do I even need to shave my balls I like them as they are, au naturel' and that's absolutely justified because you do you homie, but we just don't want you to get in trouble just before that sudden date (hopefully?). It's been a year and let's hope you get back in the game soon. Being prepared never hurt anyone. Having said that, if you don't want to do it, simply don't. There's nothing wrong with furry testicles. It's dangerous and if you don't want to put yourself through that potential ordeal, don't! via GIPHY Let's just go straight to the topic then. Here are 2 things you should strictly never do while shaving your balls, if you want to avoid painful, awkward, nasty accidents. via GIPHY 1. Never start shaving without trimming the hair first. It's important. Have you ever grown a beard that's longer than a stubble? If you have, it will be easier for you to understand it. How did you go about shaving it? Or even if you did it in a salon, do you remember how your barber executed the task? We can bet they didn't straightaway go in with some shaving cream and a razor. First, they must have trimmed it. via GIPHY They did it because it's easier to shave once the length of hair is small and manageable, and it would not give rise to a messy, hair-all-over-the-razor-blade kind of situation. Not trimming your ball fuzz first can give rise to nasty accidents because of lack of visibility and ideal dexterity, and we'd strictly recommend trimming first. via GIPHY 2. Never form a huge pile of lather with your shaving cream and no, please don't go in blind with your razor like you do while shaving your face. That's a bloodbath waiting to happen right there, and you will cry if that happens. Loudly and inconsolably. via GIPHY You see, as much as your brain wants you to believe that your testicles and your hand are in sync, and they will work together as you shave, it's a lie. Your eyes need to be the referee here as it's more of a wrestling match than a boardroom meeting. There's a reason why we say that. via GIPHY The skin on your testicles is very smart, and it's unlike the skin on any other part of your body. Sometimes it hangs low, sometimes it tightens up - depending on temperature and several other factors. The main job of the skin around your balls is to make sure they are warm, protected, and the sperm is healthy. So just like a good guardian, it does whatever it has to. via GIPHY And you know how difficult it is to 'manage' smart people with regular techniques, right? That's exactly the case here. So, instead of lathering up your balls with shaving cream, use something that does the job but doesn't obstruct your view - a body wash or conditioner should do the job. Use one hand to pull and adjust the skin as per the shave strokes, and do it with as much precision and patience like a ninja on their final mission. via GIPHY Along with these two things, please make sure you're not in a hurry and are using water of the temperature which feels pleasant to you, and you should be fine. All the best! View the full article
  14. The 28-year old Navdeep Saini has seen phenomenal success as an international cricketer in the past couple of years. In the two Tests, seven One-Day Internationals and 10 T20 Internationals that the pacer has played for the country, Saini has shown elite character and become one of the greatest weapons for skipper Virat Kohli in all formats of the game. Having said that, thanks to the power of social media and how evolved the internet has become in the current era, it is almost impossible for anyone to keep their past activities hidden, whether it be a hilarious picture or a cheeky yet innocent comment towards another player. In Saini’s case, it was the latter which has come back to haunt the cricketer as one of his comments on a seven-year old picture has gone viral. A picture uploaded by the then 21-year old athlete shows him holding on to a massive trophy with a caption ‘Born to win...’ edited over it in big bold letters. One of Saini’s friends appreciated his achievement by calling him “junior shreesanth” but the way Saini replied, definitely makes for an awkward moment the next time he meets the controversial Kerala pacer. “ooooo bhai mujhe nahi bnna shreesanth, mujhe to breet lee bnna h (I don’t want to become Sreesanth, I want to become Brett Lee),” Saini commented on his own post. © Facebook - Navdeep Saini Why Such A Response? At the time when Saini made this comment, Sreesanth found himself accused of a spot-fixing incident in the Indian Premier League along with other players like Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan. However, in 2020, Sreesanth’s punishment was reduced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Judicial System, allowing him to return to domestic cricket under the ambit of the Indian cricket Board. Unfortunately, Sreesanth’s return has not gone the way he had imagined. He had applied to get qualified for the mini-auction ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League but none of the eight franchises in the league have shown any interest in buying him at the moment.
