  1. Before the release of the final installment in the Avengers series, there were only two movies people were talking about - 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'. Now, everyone has just one thing on their minds - 'Avengers: Endgame'. Arka Media Works Thanos is the greatest supervillain ever, not just in the Marvel Universe but also in the lives of Bollywood filmmakers, as 'Avengers: Endgame' turned every desi movie to dust with its release. In fact, 'Avengers: Endgame' has entered the 100-crore club in its second day itself. Marvel Studios If a movie can land a Marvel fan in hospital, because she cried uncontrollably while watching it, you can only expect it to reach greater heights and break all the records. On its first day, the movie earned Rs 53.10 crore and became the biggest opener in India, beating the likes of 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'. On Saturday, it earned Rs 51.40 crore and cakewalked into the Rs 100 crore club in just two days, with Rs 104 crore. Marvel Studios Even before its release, the movie has been making every desi marvel fan go batshit crazy and its release has only made people lose their minds further. The Russo brothers' directorial released in 2845 screens in India in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu language, and the movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Brie Larson, among others.
  2. Christopher Henry Gayle, probably the best T20 batsman in the world, has once again proven why he owns that title. Opening his Indian Premier League campaign against Rajasthan Royals(RR) on Monday, Gayle of Kings XI Punjab(KXIP) bagged the man of the match award for playing a glorious knock of 79 runs in 47 balls, consisting of 4 sixes and 8 boundaries. Starting off slow and settling himself first was something new that we fans got to witness. Though many would say that he had a particular reason to do that, which was him needing a mere seven more runs to become the fastest person to reach 4000 IPL runs. But even after reaching that peak, he made sure that he played very carefully and didn't start firing straight-away. He took his time and once he was settled, he blasted in all directions of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Despite Gayle getting caught by Rahul Tripathi on the ball of Ben Stokes, Sarfraz took the responsibility of his side and took them to a good total of 184 in their share of 20 overs. And if he continues with the same form, there is no doubt that David Warner or anyone could stand in his path of grabbing the Orange Cap and becoming the leading scorer of the season.
  3. As the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came calling with a scintillating contest between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the cricket fans geared up for multiple individual clashes that the opening match had to offer. While many were keen to witness the battle between 'Captain Cool' MS Dhoni and 'Captain Fearless' Virat Kohli, others were eager to see the contest between RCB's explosive batting line-up and CSK's experienced bowling unit. Amongst the key battles, there was one between Suresh Raina and the RCB skipper in the race to reach 5,000 runs in the IPL. Ahead of the IPL opener, Raina had amassed 4,985 runs in 3,601 balls (1167 dots, 1533 singles, 256 twos, 11 threes, 448 fours, 1 five and 185 sixes) in the tournament. He was just 15 runs shy of becoming the first player to score 5,000 IPL runs. Twitter/@IPL On the other hand, Kohli had scored 4,948 runs in 3,784 balls (1319 dots, 1575 singles, 266 twos, 11 threes, 435 fours and 178 sixes) in the IPL. While Raina looked in touching distance, Kohli needed 52 runs to achieve the unique feat. But, after Dhoni won the toss and asked RCB to bat first, many would have probably tipped the Indian captain to reach there first. But, contrary to popular perception, Kohli, akin to majority of his teammates, had a forgettable outing as he was sent back into the hut for just six runs. On a raging turner of a track at the MA Chidambaram stadium, perennial underachievers RCB were bowled out for a mere 70 runs. Twitter/@IPL With Kohli bottling his opportunity, all eyes were on Raina when he came out to bat in the third over. After surviving a run-out scare (thanks to Mohammad Siraj's fumble while collecting the ball), Raina tickled the ball towards fine leg for an easy single in the ninth over, etching his name in the history books as the first-ever player to complete 5,000 runs in the IPL. 4. In today's era of sports where fame is directly related to fortune, ESPN has come up with a list of 100 of the most famous athletes from all over the world who enjoy a great fan following. What criteria were taken into consideration while forming the list? According to the website, the list was based on the stats in three different areas: 1. Search Score: How often is the name of the particular sportsperson looked up on the internet. The list fixes Cristiano Ronaldo's score of 100 as the baseline and the rest of the athletes were ranked accordingly. 2. Endorsement Dollars: Based on the reports provided by credible sources such as Forbes on the athletes' monetary worth based solely on their endorsement earnings. 3. Social Media Followers: The total number of followers the athletes have across all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. However, keeping in mind that not a lot of the famous athletes are not present on every social media platform, the numbers of their most famous account has been taken into account. After going through such a gruelling yet organised method of research, here is the list of the 10 most famous athletes of the world: For the fourth year in a row, Cristiano Ronaldo tops our ranking of the biggest names in sports: ESPN World Fame 100. pic.twitter.com/z25QVCqTzD — ESPN UK (@ESPNUK) March 12, 2019 1. Cristiano Ronaldo 2. Lebron James 3. Lionel Messi 4. Neymar Jr. 5. Conor McGregor 6. Roger Federer 7. Virat Kohli 8. Rafael Nadal 9. Stephen Curry 10. Tiger Woods While the top four players mentioned in the list are without doubt deserving, the fact that Conor McGregor was ranked fifth, especially with athletes like Roger Federer and Virat Kohli's immense popularity, seems a bit odd. ESPN World Fame 100 - 2019 list: 1. Cristiano Ronaldo 2. LeBron James 3. Lionel Messi 4. Neymar 5. Mcgregor 6. Roger Federer 7. VIRAT KOHLI 8. Rafael Nadal 9. Stephen Curry 10. Tiger Woods pic.twitter.com/jiGj0FvWfs — Mohammed Ibrahim Farooqui (@iBM1105) March 12, 2019 We also have to keep in mind that the list comes after whatever actions the numerous athletes took back in 2018. McGregor's memorable bout with Floyd 'Money' Mayweather definitely catapulted his name's worth amongst the audience that followed sports other than MMA. Following that, the major rivalry between the Irishman and his Russian opponent Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov which became uglier after the fight, also must have played a huge role, especially in the 'Search Score' and 'Social Media Following' categories. Having said that, the Indian cricket team's captain Virat Kohli too had the best year of his career. Winning all the three top ICC awards for his brilliance in every format of the game, namely Men's Cricketer of the Year, Test and ODI Cricketer of the Year. He was also named the captain for both ODI and Test Team of the Year.
  5. Over the years, Indian cricket has seen many spinners come and go. Some have managed to make a mark in the history books, while others have faded with time. In the current crop of the Indian team, the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have forged a vital spin-bowling partnership. On one hand, where the chinaman cuts down the flow of runs for the opposition, the leggie is seen bamboozling the batsmen with his attacking leg-spin. While Kuldeep has proved effective across formats, Chahal has only been tried in limited-overs cricket. But, despite the limited opportunities he's got, Chahal makes it a point to contribute to his team's cause whenever he walks out on the field. However, that's not the only thing Chahal is good at. © AP The 28-year-old has struck a chord with cricket fans with his own chat show 'Chahal TV' where he is seen doing candid interviews of fellow cricketers. Making an exception to the format of the show, Chahal TV's latest episode saw India's very own 'Bharat Army' making a brief appearance. Following India's 35-run triumph in the fifth ODI in Wellington, Chahal resumed to his role as host and spoke to India's 'fan troop' that continues to cheer for the team in different countries, at different venues. “Bharat Army was founded 20 years ago in the UK. After that, it spread all over. You've seen them in Australia, New Zealand and in India as well. Wherever the team travels we are there to support them. We call ourselves the 12th man of the Indian team,” a member of the outfit said on Chahal TV. MUST WATCH: Meet the bunch that support #TeamIndia everywhere they go. Chahal was then seen dancing to the beats of the 'dhol' as some members of the 'fan troop' also joined in. A brief video of the episode was also shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the social media. "MUST WATCH: Meet the bunch that support #TeamIndia everywhere they go. Say Hello to The Bharat Army. P.S. Let us know how you find Bharat Army's original "Chahal TV soundtrack" @yuzi_chahal," the BCCI tweeted.

  7. You have to be either really brave or really dumb to try and mug a professional MMA fighter, who is known as 'The Iron Lady', with a fake gun made up of cardboard. Yes, you read that right. When Polyana Viana was standing by herself waiting for a cab in a remote corner of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a mugger believed he had found an easy target to rob. Little did he know that the apparently helpless lady was a professional strawweight UFC fighter with a 10-2 MMA winning record. According to Viana, when the thief saw her all alone he sat next to her and asked her for the time. “I said it (the time), and I saw he wasn't going to leave. So I already moved to put my cell phone in my waist. And then he said, 'Give me the phone. Don't react, because I'm armed.' Then he put his hand over (with a gun), but I realised it was too soft,” Viana told the 'de Janeiro police. © Polyana Viana Judging by how close the robber was to her, Viana knew that he wouldn't have enough time to reach for the gun even if he was indeed packing. She quickly stood up, threw a couple of punches and a kick to his head, and once the stunned man fell to the ground, she wrapped him in a rear-naked choke from behind. The robber's face had multiple fractures and when the police arrived, they had to take him to a medical faculty to fix him up a bit before escorting him to the police station. When word about the incident broke out, the Iron Lady became an instant hit with people from all over the world commending her for her valour, some even showing sympathy towards the poor thief who made the worst mistake of his life and regretted almost instantaneously. God I love stories like these. pic.twitter.com/0QA8TzMEya — John Campea (@johncampea) January 7, 2019 I mean, if you're going to run around trying to mug people in Brazil, you'd better have a strong rear-naked choke defense. 9. Microsoft has overtaken Apple to become the most valuable company in the world and the two companies are still battling it out for the top spot. This has come after a gruelling week for tech companies, where the stock for major tech companies has been recovering. Microsoft reached a valuation of $814 billion as of Tuesday, while Apple's cap was slightly less at $805 billion. © Reuters The two companies are still battling it out and Microsoft's rise could be credited to its continued traction with cloud computing. The last time Microsoft secured a lead over Apple was back in 2010 whereas Apple became the first company in the world to achieve a $1 trillion market cap earlier this year. Amazon shortly followed while Microsoft is yet to achieve that milestone. © Microsoft Microsoft mainly caters to business which has attributed to the company's rising stock price, whereas investors have punished consumer-centric companies. Both Apple and Amazon are down 23 percent since the start of October. In the past, Microsoft fell behind Apple as computing needs moved from desktop computers to mobile devices such as the iPhone. This made Microsoft's dominance in the PC market null and resulted in a decline in stock price. Having said that, Microsoft now caters to businesses and even governments with its Azure cloud computing platform. According to Bloomberg “the rise of cloud computing changed Microsoft's fortunes about five years ago. Under Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella, the company invested heavily in data centres and other infrastructure to run applications and store data for corporate customers.” Microsoft is now second behind Amazon Web Services in the cloud computing business, which has resulted in making the company one of the most valuable companies in the world. 10. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh aka Mrs. and Mr. Bhavnani are currently in Bangalore to host their wedding reception. But, on social media, the couple is reliving their magical wedding ceremonies that took place at Lake Como, Italy. 11. If cricket is a religion, then Virat Kohli is arguably no less than a God. Often labelled as India's run-machine, the right-hander continues to live up to his tag, shattering one record after another in international cricket. The Indian skipper has been so convincing with the willow, that it undoubtedly makes him a cut above the rest. And, his legend, as witnessed in the ongoing ODI series against West Indies, continues to grow. The Delhi lad looked in sublime form in the first ODI in Guwahati where he notched up his 36th hundred in the 50-over format to secure an emphatic eight-wicket win for his side. Following his exploits in the first game, another pivotal milestone beckoned Kohli, as India looked to carry on their winning momentum in the series. King Kohli ð pic.twitter.com/tNIJxt62ae — BCCI (@BCCI) October 24, 2018 Going into the second ODI, Kohli had amassed 9,919 runs in just 204 ODI innings. He was just 81 runs short of joining the elite list of cricketers with 10,000 runs in the ODI format. While many had tipped the Indian batting sensation to achieve the unique feat, not many would have probably expected him to clinch it so quickly. On 24th October, Kohli once again reminded everyone of his capabilities and why he is quickly establishing his reputation as an all-time great. Continuing his fine form, Kohli raced to yet another fifty and then reached the 10,000-run mark in ODIs. In the process, he shattered his idol Sachin Tendulkar's record by becoming the fastest to reach the milestone. While Tendulkar took 259 innings to reach 10,000 ODI runs, Kohli needed just 205 innings to pip the Master Blaster. And, the fact that Kohli raced from 9,000 to 10,000 in just 11 innings, highlights his godly form with the willow. There is no stopping this fella @imVkohli, whaddaplayaaa ð¥ð¥ pic.twitter.com/4Hkt55TsHF — BCCI (@BCCI) October 24, 2018 The right-hander achieved the feat in the 37th over of the game after punching the ball off Ashley Nurse to long-on for an easy single. For a man who currently seems to be breaking records at will, Kohli's latest feat was undoubtedly special - something that was visible in his celebration where he raised his arms to the sky, then kissed his ring finger, gave a salute to his wife Anushka Sharma and then looked back at non-striker MS Dhoni with a cheeky old grin. But, Kohli wasn't done there. The 29-year-old smashed Marlon Samuels for a boundary in the 44th over and brought up his 37th ODI hundred. It was for the seventh time in his career that Kohli had smashed back-to-back hundreds. Kohli's ton was also his 61st century in international cricket across the three formats. In the process, he also became the fastest to record 61 international hundreds, breaking Tendulkar's record. With 37 ODI hundreds to his name, Kohli only stands behind the Little Master in terms of most centuries in the 50-over format. The Indian batting great has 49 such knocks to his name. It was Kohli's 32nd century as captain in international cricket across the three formats. © BCCI This was Kohli's 25th ODI century in Asia. He has scored five tons combining Australia and New Zealand, four in Africa, one in Europe and four in the Caribbean. Kohli has now surpassed his RCB teammate AB de Villers with 15 ODI tons as captain. Ricky Ponting, with 22 tons to his name, is the only cricketer to have scored more ODI hundreds than Kohli as skipper. It's needless to say that he broke numerous records with the latest hundred, but, for a cricket fan, it was the innings Kohli played to reach the milestone - his discipline to remove all kinds of risk from his game and the calculative head which decides how to turn the bat to pick the gap - that left us all drooling. • 61st century in international cricket across the three formats, although he hasn't yet scored a ton in T20I format. He is the fastest to 61 international hundreds breaking Sachin's record. • 37th century in the 50-over format of the game and still, only stands behind Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar in terms of most ODI centuries ever. The Indian batting great has 49 such knocks to his name. • 32nd century as captain in international cricket across the three formats. • 30th century for Kohli while batting at No.3 in ODIs. Kohli has batted even down in the No.7 spot, but his century, apart from the usual No.3 spot, came only in the fourth spot. He scored seven centuries batting at No.7. • 25th ODI century in Asia by Kohli. He has scored five tons combining Australia and New Zealand, four in Africa, one in Europe and four in the Caribbean. • 15th as captain in ODIs surpassing his RCB teammate AB de Villers and now only standing behind Aussie great Ricky Ponting (22). • 9th in 2018 in Internationals cricket across format off which four came in Tests. • 6th ODI century against West Indies and third against them on home soil. Two others were scored during India's tour of West Indies in 2017 and 2013.
  12. Do you ever feel like a 40-year-old stuck inside the body of a 25-year-old? Getting tired and exhausted easily, prefer chilling at home with a can of Red Bull and cancelling trekking plans with friends and only settling for Goa (because beach)? Well, that's the story for most of us of this generation. While some of us feel that even picking up a needle is a difficult task, people twice our age are setting life goals for us. One of the greatest examples is Milind Soman. © Instagram Recently, the model-actor ran 72 kms in Delhi to mark the 72 years of Independence. He is also someone who finished in 2015, the toughest and the most brutal race on this planet - the 'Ironman Triathlon'. But, looks like Milind Soman has found a tough competition in 53-year-old Nashik Police Commissioner Ravinderkumar Singhal, who successfully completed this difficult 'Ironman Triathlon', in France on Sunday. #NashikPolice congratulate Respected Dr. Ravinder Singal sir #CommissionerofPolice, #Nashik on becoming the #IronMan at #France #Triathlon@ravindersingal @IGPNashikRange @IPS_Association @SpRural @NashikNews @dionashik @CollectorNashik @Dev_Fadnavis @CMOMaharashtra @deshdoot pic.twitter.com/IcGQuEiien — Nashik City Police (@nashikpolice) August 27, 2018 For those who don't know about this event, it includes non-stop cycling for 180 km, followed by swimming for 4 km and 42-km marathon and one has to finish this race under 17 hours. Reportedly, Singhal's training Dr. Mustafa Topiwala said that he finished the triathlon in 15 hours and 13 minutes. © Ironman triathlon Singhal, who is from the Maharashtra-cadre, underwent extensive training before heading to France to participate in what is said to be the world's toughest competition. Can we say, that with this achievement, he has surpassed Milind Soman's 2015 record? Milind Soman completed the race in 15 hours and 19 minutes. We are really proud of you, Sir. Well done! 13. As a rule of life, no one, and I mean no one, should get a tattoo of their significant other's name ever. It almost never works out and then you're left with a constant reminder for life. Who would want that, especially after a breakup? So, here's a cautionary tale for every guy who's even considering getting a tattoo for their girlfriend. Sure, she'll find it romantic and stuff at the time, but just imagine breaking up and then being married to someone else, who spots that very romantic gesture you did for some other woman. What will she do? Beat you up, of course! That's exactly what a newly-married couple in Tamil Nadu just went through. What probably was supposed to be their honeymoon period turned into a literal nightmare for the husband, after his wife beat him up for having an ex's name tattooed. The 22-year-old wife was waiting at a bus stop with her 20-year-old husband when she noticed some other girl's name on his arm. (I mean, arms are a pretty visible area, she should've seen it before, but never mind, let's continue.) Okay, yes, what he did was stupid, but the wife's next step was not at all cool. Yes, you can be angry but beating up someone is never the answer, violence against anyone should be discouraged. But, she was so enraged that she ended up brutally beating him, that too in public. After a point, the husband even tried to run for his life and even feigned a heart attack, but nothing stopped her and her fists of rage. Some onlookers then took the couple to the police station, after first recording the incident, of course. A police officer revealed to TOI that this was the woman's second marriage. “After separating from her first husband, she and her child were staying with her parents. She had married the young man after a love affair,” the officer said.
  14. After Isha and Akash Ambani's extravagant pre-engagement and engagement parties, the world thought that the celebrations might have come to a halt for some time and will now resume in December, when the two are said to get married to their respective partners. Reuters But, today the Ambanis gifted themselves another reason to celebrate and hold parties. Why? Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd, today added another title in front of his name and that is - 'Asia's richest person'. Reuters Reportedly, Ambani has toppled Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma to become Asia's richest person as he places Reliance Industries Ltd. to disrupt the e-commerce space in India. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ambani's net worth was estimated to be $44.3 billion and Jack Ma's wealth was at $44 billion. Reuters While Jack Ma reportedly lost $1.4 billion this year, Ambani has, on the other hand, added $4 billion to his fortune as Reliance “doubled its petrochemicals capacity and investors cheered the success of his disruptive telecom upstart Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.” Does that mean all the Jio users can pat their backs and take credit for Mukesh Ambani becoming Asia's richest person? Well keeping the jokes aside, we guess both the Ambanis and Bollywood found another reason to party like there's no tomorrow, at Antilia. Source: The Times Of India
  15. I am surprised that this EKG doesn't show any escape beats. I mean, 4 dropped beats? That should induce at least Junctional Escape Beats or PJCs and more likely Ventricular Escape Beats or PVCs. So why are there no escape beats or premature beats in this sinus arrest? I also know that this EKG shows the first stage of a heart attack, the hyperacute phase where the only change is in the voltage and symmetry of the T wave(high voltage and symmetric vs normal low voltage and asymmetric).
