5 Enemies Who Buried The Hatchet & Became Friends Thanks To IPL's Big Paychecks
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
Over the last 15 years, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has contributed a great deal in developing a harmonious relationship among players from different nationalities. Before this tournament began in 2008, there was little to no interaction between players from different countries. © IPL The only time they spent together was playing for their respective countries. With so much at stake and intense competitiveness among players back in the day, no one actually made any effort to sort out their differences. Given the intense rivalry that existed between India and Australia back in the day, it was hard to imagine Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting sitting on the same table and preparing strategies, that too with a common goal in mind. But IPL has made it all possible. Give us a suitable caption for this photo We'll retweet the best comment #YehHaiNayiDilli @MohammadKaif @SGanguly99 @RickyPonting pic.twitter.com/LEFGv77mp6 — Delhi Capitals (@DelhiCapitals) August 17, 2020 Over the last decade-and-a-half, we have seen several players who never looked each other in the eye keeping their differences aside and becoming friends. In the upcoming edition, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jos Buttler will be seen playing for the same franchises and working towards achieving the same objective. Here we take a look at five such sworn enemy pairings who became friends through IPL: Sourav Ganguly - Ricky Ponting View this post on Instagram The two alpha-males of their respective countries Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting publicly patched up their differences ahead of the inaugural edition of the IPL where they both represented Kolkata Knight Riders. Not just that, they would even go on to coach the Delhi-based franchise several years later. Ponting and Ganguly worked together at Delhi Capitals for a good couple of years before the latter stepped down after becoming the BCCI President. Harbhajan Singh - Andrew Symonds © Reuters Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds were at loggerheads in the ‘Monkeygate Scandal’ during the infamous 2008 Sydney Test. After nearly three years of that controversy, both the players became part of the Mumbai Indians dressing room in 2011. Given their strong feud, people weren’t sure if they would bury the hatchet and call it truce. However, in the end, Sachin Tendulkar who was the MI skipper at the time worked as a mediator and helped the duo bridge their differences. Shane Warne - Graeme Smith © Reuters Australia spin legend Shane Warne and former South Africa skipper Graeme Smith weren’t on best of terms when they joined Rajasthan Royals ahead of the inaugural season. Both the players had made each other’s life difficult while playing for their respective countries. They worked out their differences like adults and guess what, it even reflected on the field as Rajasthan Royals became the first-ever IPL champions. Krunal Pandya - Deepak Hooda © Instagram Krunal Pandya When Lucknow Super Giants picked Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda splashing a handsome amount at the IPL 2022 mega auction, it made them a butt of jokes on social networking sites. Both the all-rounders had a major fallout last year. Hooa has accused Krunal of abusing him in front of Baroda teammates. Both the players are expected to feature in the playing XI and they must have sorted their differences already. Don’t be surprised if they are seen celebrating together. Ravichandran Ashwin - Jos Buttler © IPL Ravichandran Ashwin and Jos Buttler became enemies after the former ran out while he was trying to steal an extra yard to two by leaving the crease early before the ball was bowled. Both these players will be seen donning the same jersey in the forthcoming edition. Buttler was retained by Rajasthan Royals while Ashwin was picked at the auction. Not that they are both in the same team, they shouldn’t have any issue. View the full article -
Hrithik Roshan or the ‘Greek god’ of Bollywood is known for his choice of movies and the kind of work he puts into them. However , sometimes when you read about an actor rejecting an offer, it makes you wonder why they did so. Here are 5 films rejected by the star which went on to become blockbusters. 1. SwadesWhile Hrithik worked with Ashutosh Gowariker in Jodhaa Akbar, he wasn’t too keen to do Swades. In an interview he later explained why he rejected the film. “I had read Ashutosh’s script for Swades. I couldn’t see it from the director’s perspective, and therefore didn’t think I was equipped to perform the part. I wasn’t the best person to translate Ashutosh’s vision. And this was right after Lagaan so when Ashutosh came to me I felt on top of the world. Swades is one of my favourite films. And Ashutosh is definitely one of my favourite filmmakers” he said. 2. BaahubaliThe Greek God of Bollywood was offered the titular role but since he had just finished wrapping up Jodhaa Akbar, he wasn’t in a zone to take up another period drama. Although on a show, the director has mentioned that he only had Prabhas in mind for the role. 3. Dil Chahta HaiAs per reports and various interviews, it was reported that Hrithik was offered the role of Sameer and even Sid in DCH. However, the actor wasn’t keen on taking up the role and well, rest is history. It went on to become one of the most iconic movies of all time. 4. Rang De BasantiAs per reports, Hrithik was approached by the makers for playing the role of Karan Singhania, which was later taken by Siddharth. 5. LagaanHrithik was originally offered Lagaan but again the actor wasn’t too sure about the script. When Aamir took over the project, the film eventually went on to reach the Oscars. Meghan Markle 'Suits' co-star became laughingstock for Duchess for THIS reason

Meghan Markle 'Suits' co-star Patrick J Adams shares hilarious anecdote from show -
The hard reality is that a lot of relationships break because one of the two people needs more stability (financial and otherwise) than the other is willing or capable of providing. It won’t be wrong to say that some women who are looking for a successful partner do end their relationship or turn down a man on the basis of his financial or professional stature. © iStock However, what if she realises she made a huge mistake by letting him go when she sees him doing well in life and decides to return? Yes, it might sound filmy and far from reality but it has, in fact, happened to a lucky few who got the chance to take the bitter-sweet revenge from the gold-digger exes and women who didn’t see their worth earlier. © iStock Someone asked men on Reddit, how they reacted when their “former one-sided love returned” after they became successful. And, here is how men responded. 1. “It's going to be different for everybody, I suppose. I wasn't mad. Wasn't rude. Wasn't happy. Wasn't anything. Told her that ship had sailed. Because it had.” –reddit_bandito 2. “I was appalled and lost what little respect I had for her. My reaction would've been one of indifference if she hadn't made it so obvious.” –thenameclicks © iStock 3. “Got married, she cheated, it nearly killed me, self deletion. Divorce ruined me, lost the house, kids, and dealt with false allegations. Sold a lot of software code, rights and intellectual property rights. Made money on the sale, a lot of money. She came back asking to try again...She still asks to try again.” –akihonj 4. “It was petty satisfaction but it felt really good when my ex started to text me trying to hookup after she saw the size of the engagement ring I bought for my now wife." 5. “Gave her a taste of the good life then dumped her. I know it sounds petty but she really f*cked with my emotions and needed some closure.” ––oilyproman © iStock "She broke up with me after I lost my job and was struggling to get back into my industry…Started my own company instead of continuing the job search and now I’m BALLIN lol. Felt so good to tell the ex to go **** off.” –SoGnarRadar4 6. “Left her on read.” –chillest_dude_ 7. “I walked away without saying anything. I didn't want to say anything because I would have ended up screaming insults at her. I thought it was best if I just ignored her and don't give her the time of day.” –aldric864 © iStock Most of the men who answered tried the same approach by not saying or doing anything but respectfully turning them down and probably slept peacefully. As they say, silence and success is the best revenge. View the full article

The former captain of the Indian cricket team and all-time legend Sunil Gavaskar has finally reacted to 2-1 defeat that the Men in Blue suffered in South Africa just a couple of weeks after he had predicted a 3-0 whitewash in favour of the touring side. Ahead of the second Test, Gavaskar had boasted about the fact that Virat Kohli and his team were in the middle of an exceptional winning streak, considering they had just defeated New Zealand at home. He also bragged about how the squad was doing exceedingly well against the rest of the SENA countries after having won back to back Test series in Australia and dominating England on their own turf. Alternatively, Gavaskar also mentioned the fact that the South African side did not have some of their biggest names including Anrich Nortje in their corner due to injuries. Furthermore, he stated the lack of cricket being played in the country because of the rise of COVID-19 there and several teams declining to visit for bilateral series. Based on all these assumptions, Gavaskar was pretty certain that this tour would finally allow the Indians to win their first-ever red-ball series on the land of the Proteas. So just imagine his reaction when Kohli and Co. not only managed to lose the series 2-1 but also did so with an extra day of play still left in the bank. Sunil Gavaskar predicted a 3-0 test series win for India or Har baar overconfidence marwa deta hy inhy pic.twitter.com/GZcILDiROR — Mairaj Ahmed (@MairajAhmmed) January 14, 2022 While present in South Africa as the commentator and analysis for the series, the former Indian batter was simply shell-shocked by the defeat and explained his surprise rather dramatically when he said that his “dream had turned into a nightmare”. "India's cricket after lunch has just baffled me. One would've thought that you would make one last-ditch effort, bring Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami on to bowl. Because after an interval, batsmen have to reset. India's dream of winning a series for the first time in South Africa has turned into a nightmare," the former India cricketer said on-air while commentating on the match. My man. They wheeled Sunil Gavaskar out to hype this Indian team and say 3-0 to the Indians only for him to watch his team lose another test series in South Africa. Pain man. — simmi (@simmiareff) January 14, 2022 The ex-skipper felt as if the entire team had given up hope of even trying to take a shot at winning and had accepted defeat way before the winning runs were scored by the hosts in Cape Town. With the series win, the South Africans have overtaken Team India in the ICC World Test Championship points table for the 2021-23 season based on the percentage of points (PCT), even though the latter has the most number of points in the entire table based on the number of matches each squad has played so far. Leonardo DiCaprio Almost Became Spider-Man & Here's Why He Rejected It
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
(SPOILER ALERT) For all the fellow Spider-Man fans out there, Tobey Maguire gave us the first peek at the first cinematic Spider-Man. © Sony Pictures Tobey starred in Sam Raimi's first three Spider-Man films and he is obviously remembered fondly by everyone for the role. Since then, the superhero character has been played by English actors Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland, in their own The Amazing Spider-Man and Marvel Studios' Spider-Man franchises. © Sony Pictures © Marvel Studios In what was a treat for all fans, the three Spider-Men actually united together in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and boy, it was amazing seeing Tobey and Andrew's Spidey come back to the screens. However, did you know that things could have been a whole lot different for all these movies? I mean, what if I told you that there would be no Tobey Spider-Man. Yep! Sounds weird, right? Well, it was almost the truth! As reported, Tobey Maguire wasn't the first actor who was called up for the Spider-Man role. It was actually Don't Look Up actor, Leonardo DiCaprio! © Reuters James Cameron, who directed movies like the Titanic and Avatar, was set to make the first Spider-Man movie and there was even a script ready for it, with James preferring a young Leonardo for the role, having worked with him in Titanic. © Paramount Pictures While speaking about it with Empire Magazine, Leo said, "There was a screenplay. I know he was semi-serious about doing it at some point, but I don’t remember any further talks about it. We had a couple of chats. I think there was a screenplay that I read, but I don’t remember. This was 20 years ago!” He also spoke on how things wouldn't have changed even if he had starred in the movie. “I’m not sure anything would have changed,” said Leo. Wow! Things might not have changed for the Oscar winner but we're pretty sure things would be a lot different for us. According to Screen Rush, Cameron's Spider-Man screenplay was what the director said, “greatest movie I never made.” As per reports, the script was a lot grittier and there was also a *** scene between Spider-Man and love interest, Mary Jane while being webbed to the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. It was also reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger was also eyed for the movie. However, it didn't happen, and as per reports, Leo actually went on to recommend his 'best friend' Tobey Maguire for the role of Spider-Man. © Sony Pictures The rest is history, folks! In the web space, a troll is defined as a person who posts abusive and offensive messages or posts in an online community. It has become a trend of sorts that if a person doesn’t like a celeb’s way of dressing or his or her posts, people think it’s okay to send them derogatory messages without realizing how deeply it can affect them. Over the years, these celebs might have developed a thick skin for these trolls but that doesn’t mean a faceless person has the right to demean them. While going through many articles that represent a psychological analysis of these nasty trolls, we understood that it’s more about showing strength by providing an indirect threat. This is why the best way to defeat these trolls is to simply ignore them and not feed them but if required, there’s no harm in shutting them down. We realized there are a few celebs that have been subjected to trolling again and again in 2021. Here’s a list of the celebs who became a victim of this nasty practice: Rashmika Mandanna Just recently, Rashmika Mandanna was spotted at an event while promoting her movie Pushpa and was massively trolled. She chose a shimmery green coloured outfit and completed it with minimal makeup. In the event, she spoke in Hindi, danced on a song, and even gave a Korean-style kiss and heart to her fans in attendance. In no time, the videos went viral and people were harsh towards the actor. People said she is someone who overacts. She was also trolled for her outfit at the airport when people said disgraceful things about her look. View this post on Instagram Rashmika told Bollywood Bubble, “Recalling the first time that it happened, “Oh majorly. It hit me like a bloody tsunami. I didn’t see it coming, I didn’t even know what trolling was, wasn’t even aware of it. I was this girl who had come 100-200 followers and I was following some 400 people. I was just that girl. To one point I was body shamed and they were talking about my personality, my character, my family, my school, my upbringing, and all that. I remember all of this happening and the first time it happened I was like why is there so much negativity.” View this post on InstagramShe went on to add, “The thing is, when people are trolling you, you feel like the whole world is trolling you. It was such a new concept that I started losing myself in all of this. I don’t want to be seen, I want to behave this way, I want to talk this way. It was bad.” Ranveer SinghRanveer Singh has also been at the receiving end this year. People have trolled him mercilessly for his outfits which is not a new trend because he has faced the heat every time he has gone bold. He has been called a ‘joker’ numerous times but the actor doesn’t pay heat to these trolls. He was recently bashed for his glittery golden outfit at the Dubai promotion of his recent movie 83. View this post on Instagram In one of the earlier live sessions in 2019, he did respond back to these mean comments and said, “Tumlogo ko kuch kaam dhanda nahi hain? Tumlog kuch aur jaake karo na mere life me kyu aaye ho? (Don’t you people have jobs? Go do something else, why are you entering my life?).” Ranveer to haters Baba so many lovers log in just to chat with you, don’t bother about the haters PS - also reply to some lovers na...apne friends se toh aap phone pe baad mein chat karlena... pleaaase pic.twitter.com/6QsJ71LC8u — Ranveer’s Cafe (@ranveercafe69) November 7, 2019 Well, we completely agree with Ranveer on this. Alia Bhatt View this post on Instagram Alia Bhatt has been trolled for various reasons in the past but this year around she came under the radar of these comments because of not treating the paparazzi well. Not just that, she also brutally bashed her for wearing a bold blouse to Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal's wedding. Malaika Arora Malaika is also one of the most loved celebrities by the paparazzi and she is often snapped outside her gym. On one of the occasions, she was clicked going to her Yoga class during which the actress was brutally trolled for the way she walked. A comment read, “Just for enhancing her back, she is walking like a duck.. lol” View this post on Instagram She was also massively trolled for her choice of clothes while getting vaccinated. As per Hindustan Times, she was quoted as saying, “I don’t bother at all. It’s really sad trolling etc. I feel social media has become a very negative space and that’s really sad. Nobody wants to see negativity at the end of the day I feel you should spread happiness and positivity. To answer your questions, I don’t care and I don’t bother. I feel logon ka kaam hai kehna (I feel no matter what, people will talk), they will do that and I can’t go around and stop someone. People will continue talking so let them.” Kareena Kapoor KhanKareena Kapoor Khan is not new to trolling and social media bullying. She was massively trolled when there were reports of demanding Rs 12 crore for playing Sita started to do the round on the internet. She was also trolled for sharing a video on Instagram of her doing 108 Surya namaskars. She was trolled harshly for being a Muslim and doing Surya namaskars with trolls stating how Muslims should not be doing yoga. View this post on Instagram The incidents are countless this year and she didn’t pay head to these trolls. Shilpa Shetty View this post on Instagram Shilpa Shetty Kundra had been in the news for all the wrong reasons as her husband businessman Raj Kundra had been arrested in connection to producing porn content. Raj Kundra and the 10 other people who have been taken into custody used to publish pornographic content through mobile applications. She was brutally trolled for her statements that said she had no idea about her husband’s involvement in the porn business. Samantha Ruth Prabhu Samantha Ruth Prabhu was in news for her separation with husband Naga Chaitanya. People trolled her as the fake news of her extra-marital affair hit the headlines. She was also trolled for her recent item number. View this post on Instagram A case has been filed against Samantha's dance number in Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' by a men's association. As a report in TOI, they have reportedly filed a lawsuit against the song for portraying men as lustful through its lyrics. They have asked for a ban on the song in the Andhra Pradesh court. People on social media also bashed Samantha for being a hypocrite. They have been trolling Samantha citing her old tweet regarding her objection to Mahesh Babu’s 1 – Nenokkadine's poster. The said poster showed Kriti Sanon falling at Mahesh Babu's feet in a playful manner. Trolling should be banned for good! View the full article

Akshay Kumar is a Bollywood actor who is known to be a daredevil in real life. I mean, he's literally that one Bollywood superstar who still chooses to do his own stunts regardless of how dangerous they might be. This is pretty much one of the reasons why Akki is labelled the 'Khiladi' (player) of Bollywood. © Netflix Now, having played a proper action hero in a lot of his films, did you know that the Sooryavanshi actor actually did become a real hero off the screen as well. Yeah! Apparently, Akshay has that in his blood. To save the day on cinema screens as well as off it. He literally ended up saving co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's life. This was way back in 2004 when Akki and Aishwarya had been shooting for their action-thriller film Khakee that had a big star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Tusshar Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, and Lara Dutta. © Prime Video For people who've seen the film, you'd know that Khakee really was a proper action film with a lot of crazy action sequences. Ranging from the plotline, the acting, and the action-packed sequences made the film one of the biggest hits of 2004. However, there was something else that the movie was also famous for. A crazy accident on its set involving Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who essayed the role of 'Mahalakshmi' in it. As per reports, what happened was that Aishwarya and Tusshar had been shooting for a scene where a speeding jeep had to come and stop 20 feet from them. © Netflix However, the driver of the jeep suddenly lost control and ended up hitting both of them and pushing them off the edge of the road. This led to Aishwarya falling into the bushes wherein she got a fracture on her left foot. Things could have been much worse for her, however, it was then when Akshay Kumar jumped to save the day. According to reports, Akshay laid instructions that the jeep be pulled off the mud rather than being reversed to minimize the risk factor. Following this, Akki himself rushed Aishwarya to the hospital. This clearly did help Aishwarya as she could be treated on her injuries faster. Now, talking about the dreadful incident during an old interview, Akki humbly said, "I did not 'save' Aishwarya Rai's life. That sounds very dramatic. I just happened to be there when she was in a distressed situation. So I did the most logical thing: I drove her to a hospital. That is it. I would do the same for anyone." Ah! We get you, Akshay. Heroes usually are very subtle about their accomplishments. We respect you nonetheless. Source: IndiaToday View the full article

Kissing scenes in Hindi Bollywood films have always been a thing of intense debate. I mean, be it flowers brushing against each other in film, actors and actresses cupping their mouths while pretending to kiss on screen or the camera showing the back of the actor fooling audiences, Hindi movies have tried everything in their power to not show explicit kissing scenes. © iStock However, things have certainly changed in the last few years, and no longer do we sweat at the idea of maybe witnessing a kissing scene, as it has become just too common. The boom of Netflix, Prime Video, and other OTT platforms bringing worldly shows and movies to India has been one of the reasons why we are now okay with explicit *** scenes probably. © Netflix Now, slowly and steadily, Bollywood, too, has become adept at including *** scenes and kissing scenes in movies without being scared that The 'Censorship Ka Mandir' will create a huge problem for them. Having said that, there is one steamy Bollywood kissing scene that really raised the stakes! I mean, it was apparently even too hot for the director itself. We're talking about the intense kissing scene between Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan in Zoya Akhtar's 2011 film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. © Prime Video In the scene, Katrina's character rides a motorcycle to chase Hrithik's character somewhere in the middle of Spain before going on to kiss him passionately. However, as per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the kiss was way too long for the film. According to the report, the kissing scene was actually a three-minute-long scene and the makers of the film, including director Zoya, were left wondering whether they should keep the scene that long or cut it. After much consideration, Zoya took the decision to edit it in order to shorten the screen time. The movie, all in all, was a very good coming-of-age film and we doubt audiences would have been troubled by watching that long a kissing scene. Anyway, I don't think Hrithik or Katrina, who is going to reportedly tie the knot with Vicky Kaushal in a grand wedding, lost any sleep over the shortened scene. View the full article
