  1. Be it 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' or 'Mary Kom', biopics based on sports stars are a sure shot formula for success and filmmakers are always eager to tap into this arena. Bollywood is increasingly looking to sports for inspiration for their stories, and with good reason too. We have had many biopics that have had a successful run at the box office. Earlier, reports stated that Tiger Shroff had been approached for the biopic on Indian football legend Bhaichung Bhutia, which will be helmed by Anand Kumar. Talking about the development, our source said, “Tiger had gone to meet Anand Kumar. Yes, he was approached for the movie and he did like the script. But, his dates and schedules are tightly packed. He might say a no to doing the biopic. That's what is known till now. Tiger is not saying anything official for now. As far as his dates and schedules are concerned, he won't be able to take it up.” View this post on Instagram #inbetweenshots #takingafewshots #ð· @shariquealy A post shared by Tiger Shroff (@tigerjackieshroff) on Dec 21, 2017 at 10:03pm PST When the speculations of the film started to float around, Bhutia had shared that he was honoured to have his life put together in a biopic. Tiger would have been a perfect fit for the role considering his fitness levels and how athletic he is. If not Tiger, then who do you think can play Bhaichung Bhutia on the big screen? Let us know in the comments below.
  2. Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan in a movie together? It's surely a hard pill to digest but reports floating around suggest that the dimpled beauty has finally given a nod to sharing screen space with Khan in 'Kick 2'. Their pairing has been on the cards for a long time, but nothing really materialized. If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, the two will be seen in one frame now. For all their fans, it will surely be a visual delight. A source told the entertainment website that Deepika was the first choice for 'Kick' but things back then didn't really pan out. Jacqueline Fernandez stepped into the role and it was a turning point in her career. The source added that Deepika's role has been given full attention. "Deepika can't play just a typical Salman heroine. Her role has to be as powerful as Salman's. Sajid is working on it, injecting heft into the female lead," said the source. © Instagram/Colors Wondering why the two superstars possibly coming together for 'Kick 2' is a massive development? It's because the two have a history and not a particularly pleasant one. By history, we mean their statements about each other in the public domain weren't too pleasing. Salman, in a statement, had called depression a luxury and said that he can't afford to be depressed as it will work against him. This didn't go down pretty well with the 'Piku' actor and she gave it back saying, "Depression is sometimes perceived as a luxury... (But) It is important to break that myth." Deepika has rejected not one but six big movies with Salman Khan. But now, if this development turns out to be true, it seems like the two have let bygones be bygones. Are you excited to see Deepika and Salman in one frame? Let us know in the comments section below.
  3. It's pretty hard to keep up with acquisitions in the tech world. A lot of companies change hands constantly, so it becomes very difficult to keep a track of everything that's happening. And in Apple's case, it's even more complex, because it's picking up companies all the time and Apple doesn't always tell the world when it buys another company. According to Tim Cook, Apple is always on the lookout for new companies. In fact, he told CNBC last week that Apple purchases a new company every two to three weeks on average. Yes, that's a lot of companies. © Reuters Cook noted that Apple bought between 20 to 25 companies in the last six months alone. Of course, not all of them are huge acquisitions. In fact, you might not even recognize some of the companies. But who's going to stop Apple from throwing all the money? It's said to be sitting on over $200 billion of cash after all. Anyway, here's a short list of companies Apple has acquired since November: · Laserlike · Stamplay · PullString · DataTiger · Platoon · Silk Labs Well, let's hope Apple will end up acquiring some good companies and come up with more innovative products for us consumers. 4. The 2019 season of the Indian Premier League has to be special and unforgettable for both, the former West Indies ODI hero, Kieron Pollard and the young and eccentric, Hardik Pandya, both of whom found themselves hitting long shots on a regular basis in the ongoing month and a half long tournament. While playing for the same franchise, Pollard and Pandya, and Mumbai Indians, have been loyal to each other through the thick and thins of the team's 12-year-long journey and have reaped the benefits of being a part of the most successful IPL team with three championships (tied with MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings). © Twitter/IPL And while this season has not been MI's best, they are still on their way to qualifying for the top four spot of the IPL playoffs by winning 7 of their 12 matches and a total of 14 points in their hands and it is safe to say that on a lot of occasions, the MIPaltan needed some superhuman performances to get out of trouble and the duo of Pandya and Pollard got to work, especially in the death overs. “Even when he came onto the scene, if you remember, in a couple of games for Mumbai (Indians), he finished off with his big hits. He is a small guy but hits the ball a long way. And once he continues to practice well and continues to evolve as a cricketer, you can see him doing great things not only for Mumbai Indians but (also for) Indian cricket,” the Windies legend praised a 25-year-old Hardik Pandya. © Twitter/IPL Pandya, who was in a bit of a fix ahead of the league began as he suffered from a stiff lower back and a life-time of humiliation for his comments at a popular talk-show, has finally collated enough courage to go out there and let his bat do the talking. “It is matter (sic) of him having the confidence and you giving him the confidence for him to believe in himself, because he is one of those guys who is free-spirited and just goes out and tries to use his youthful exuberance to have an impact on the game,” said Pollard, who has been by Pandya's side for ages now.
  5. Last evening's Indian Premier League match between Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings and Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore produced some really incredible moments of the 2019 season of the league. The thrilling last-minute drama with the brilliant direct hit by the RCB wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel allowed his side to win the third game of the season in a nail-biter. However, the innings played by the former Indian skipper has to be the talk of the town. While scoring his career best in the IPL (83 not out), Dhoni looked and played like his old self when he was challenging the age-old techniques of some of the greatest batsmen of the game with his unorthodox style and brute power. Mahi came to play and was focused from the first delivery, scoring a boundary at the deep point. We also got to see the finesse and creativity of the batter that he gathered and evolved through the years and years of playing international cricket as he smoothly directed a wide ball towards the deep fine leg. This career best performance consisted of five fours and a barrage of sixes, one of which was the longest any cricketer had hit this season at 111 metres, with the ball going out of the M. Chinnaswamy stadium onto the busy roads of Bangalore. What looked like an out-of-hand game for the 'Whistle Podu' franchise, came to the final delivery thanks to the superhuman game played by Dhoni. However, with a dot ball and a failed single, his efforts did not lead to a win. Nonetheless, Dhoni's efforts were recognised by the world: Dhoni for PM. 7. While India is going to experience the first phase of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government makes it a lot easier for people of the nation to decide whom to bring back in to power. © Twitter Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on the 27th of March that India shot down a live satellite in space, achieving a pertinent place in the global space power, while also displaying India's anti-satellite missile capability(ASAT). Obviously this action wasn't aimed against any country but it did determine the fact that India is now amongst the countries that are recognised as global space superpowers. © Twitter The PM took to addressing the nation on TV, radio and social media with a speech about the happenstance at noon on Wednesday, and said the following: "In the journey of every nation, there are moments that bring utmost pride and have a historic impact on generations to come. One such moment is today," 'Mission Shakti', as it's called, was a difficult target to achieve but it was completely successful within 3 minutes of the launch, the PM added. The idea was not to release the missile to violate any international laws and treaty and that the satellite was pre-determined target orbiting at an altitude of 300km. There were no other details divulged so we don't know who owned the satellite but there is assurance this wasn't a threat of any sort, to anyone. #MissionShakti is special for 2 reasons: (1) India is only the 4th country to acquire such a specialised & modern capability. (2) Entire effort is indigenous. India stands tall as a space power! It will make India stronger, even more secure and will further peace and harmony. — Chowkidar Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) 27 March 2019 While the PM addresses the nation about the mission, it's actually the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) that is behind this project and they deserve all the credit that has gone into making this mission possible in the first place. The main aim behind the mission is to strengthen the country's overall security and with the success of this very mission, we have become the fourth country after US, Russia and China to acquire such specialised and modern technology. © DRDO "This is a fantastic capability to have and it gives us a deterrence in case our adversaries try to militarise the space or try to prevent us from using our existing space capabilities." said the former DRDO chief Dr VK Saraswat, in an interview with a news agency. #MissionShakti was a highly complex one, conducted at extremely high speed with remarkable precision. It shows the remarkable dexterity of India's outstanding scientists and the success of our space programme. — Chowkidar Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) 27 March 2019 What Is 'Mission Shakti'? While we're happy at achieving such a technologically advanced feat, most of us might be a bit confused about what Mission Shakti entails exactly. Well, we're here to clear out any and every misunderstanding you may have. © Twitter Mission Shakti is primarily a mission that has a team of scientists, who successfully launched a missile at a satellite in low-earth orbit. The anti-satellite (ASAT)that was released into space, hit the mark and destroyed the existing satellite. The missile launched, completed the entire operation in about 3 minutes and it was created by DRDO entirely, for security purposes. . @DefenceMinIndia congratulates the scientists of @isro and @DRDO_India in developing and demonstrating ASAT capabilities. We are proud of you and wish you more glories in future.@PMOIndia @nsitharaman @DefenceMinIndia@PIB_India — Defence Spokesperson (@SpokespersonMoD) 27 March 2019 Former DRDO Chief & NITI Aayog member Dr VK Saraswat on anti-satellite weapon A-SAT: If today you want to have the deterrence capability that if adversaries, that means nation across the world, want to militarise the space, India has the technological capability to match them pic.twitter.com/4XcAp4iUDd — ANI (@ANI) 27 March 2019 What Are ASATs? ASATs are anti-satellite weapons that are specifically designed to destroy satellites during warfare, although they haven't been used during war yet and have only been demonstrated so far, to show force and power. Back in 2010, the then director-general and scientific advisor of DRDO, has said India has the capability to integrate ASATs to neutralise satellites in low-earth orbits. While speculations for developing ASATs to test them out have been ongoing since 2011, on 27th March 2019, the first one was tested to destroy a pre-determined target, making ASATs a success in Indian space technology. © Reuters Other countries with the same technology have already tested their ASATs in space. While US tested it back in 2008, by launching an ASAT to destroy its own satellite, which was decaying in orbit and they were successful in destroying it. China tested theirs in 2007 and had successfully destroyed a weather satellite using a SC-19 ASAT. The non-functional satellite was orbiting at an altitude 865 KM before it was destroyed. Lastly, Russia tested theirs in 2015 and again in 2016 and they have been successfully testing and launching ASAT missiles. While the DRDO chairman talks about DRDOs success by saying : "We have mastered anti-satellite capability and we have today shown that we can hit satellites at long ranges with a few centimeters accuracy," we acknowledge the great extent of work India has put in for the launch, we would also like to throw some light on why the mission is particularly special for space technology advancements in terms of security, for the country. Why Is Mission Shakti Special? There are numerous reasons why Mission Shakti has been given the importance it deserves. One of the prominent ones is that India is now amidst the league of superpowers who have the capability to ward off any threat from a spatial point of view. While China, Russia and the USA are pursuing anti-satellite weapons to a great extent, space has actually become a harsh concern to pursue and India's role in making counter-space capabilities critical by launching an ASAT, is quite significant. © Twitter Apart from Mission Shakti helping to strengthen defence technologies and safeguarding our space assets, the ASAT weapon will likely become an important tool for the armed forces, over the next few decades. Apart from the entire effort has been indigenous and it's a moment of pride to view a spectacular advancement in this generation. Here's hoping India's cohesively strategically work towards it's security continues with utmost honour and success.
  8. If mothers are an epitome of love, warmth, and affection; fathers are sometimes the exact opposite! They might troll you in front of your friends, but will also turn into your biggest cheerleaders and at times, go simply overboard with excitement. From cheering at the top of their voice to moving mountains (if needed) if they try to block their way while making a video, fathers are the best people you need in your life and watching them do their 'dad thing' is priceless. And Amitabh Bachchan, too, did the most dad thing ever when his daughter Shweta Bachchan walked the ramp at a recent fashion show. View this post on Instagram To the best .. always .. tonight elegance grace and dignity ðð A post shared by Amitabh Bachchan (@amitabhbachchan) on Mar 24, 2019 at 1:09pm PDT Shweta Bachchan, who recently launched her own brand, was walking the ramp with Karan Johar for Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Big B was attending the show with Jaya Bachchan and the moment Shweta came on the ramp, he took out his phone to record it. Honestly, he reminded us of our parents at our Annual Day celebrations in school, back in the day when the Kodak reel cameras were a thing. But, that's not even the best thing about the video. The best moment was when he apparently whistled at the videographer, to ask him to move as he was blocking his view and once he shifted he continued making the video (zooming in and zooming out in between). View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Mar 24, 2019 at 11:31pm PDT After watching this video, our dads be like "Yeah bro! Been there, done that." 9. The festival of colours is upon us. According to Hindu mythology, Holi symbolizes the victory of good and the end of evil. Celebrated with 'rang and bhang', there is a hint of craziness in the air around which all is forgiven and new friends are made. We love to keep our smartphones at home for once, get out into the streets with packs of colourful power (herbal, hopefully) in our pockets, and paint each others' faces with different shades. It seems as if the fondness for the festival has grown beyond Indian borders as international cricketers have been found to be enjoying looking like a rainbow, plastered with vibrant Holi colours. In 2017, former Australian cricketers-turned-commentators Brett Lee and Mathew Hayden were visiting India for a Test series between the two top teams of the game at that time when Hayden tweeted this photo of him and his former teammate, completely drenched and dipped in colours. A special edition of Maxi's Blog coming soon! pic.twitter.com/K6xgRhQkS0 — cricket.com.au (@cricketcomau) March 24, 2016 Holi seemed to be really popular amongst the Kiwis as well, all the way back in 2011 when the entire New Zealand roster threw the festive colours at each other in the stands during a practice session.
  10. For someone who was mocked as an old warhorse and heavily criticised for his exploits on the field, Mahendra Singh Dhoni made his critics eat their own words on the back of a 'Man of the Series performance' that allowed Team India to script the historic ODI series win in Australia. Thriving in his new role as a sheet anchor, Dhoni continued to impress in the series to follow. In fact, his absence in the last two ODI against Australia was one of the pivotal reasons why India ended up throwing away their 2-0 lead to eventually lose the five-match series 3-2. Whether it's his batting, wicket-keeping or impeccable know-how of the game, Dhoni remains an asset that will undeniably bolster any side he plays for. And, as the cricketers gear up to shed their national colours to pledge allegiance to their respective franchises, the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set for a cracking opening clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 23rd March. Dhoni, Dhoni, @msdhoni or Kohli, Kohli, @imVkohli? We can't wait for this battle of the greats. Match 1 of #VIVOIPL between @ChennaiIPL and @RCBTweets #GameBanayegaName pic.twitter.com/4ZzvAtZ8fa — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) March 14, 2019 With the IPL opener pitting two of the biggest names in cricket - Dhoni and Virat Kohli - against each other, the RCB and its captain faces a major roadblock in the Jharkhand cricketer whose Herculean stats can undoubtedly spoil the party for the Bangalore-based franchise. A key player for CSK, Dhoni has played 175 matches in the IPL so far. He is only second, behind his teammate Suresh Raina, in the list of most games played by a cricketer in the history of India's cash-rich T20 tournament. Out of the 159 games, where he led CSK, Dhoni has managed to win 94 matches - most by any captain in the IPL. His winning rate of 59.49 is another key factor that shows his leadership skills. He is only behind Steve Smith who boasts of a brilliant winning rate of 66.6 to lead the charts in the IPL. Dhoni's winning rate is one of the biggest reasons why Chennai has managed to win the IPL title on three occasions - the joint most in the T20 tournament alongside Mumbai Indians. © Instagram/IPL On the other hand, Dhoni is also one of the three captains to have won multiple IPL trophies as captain with the same franchise. He achieved the feat last season after guiding CSK to the 2018 IPL title. Dhoni had earlier won the title with CSK in 2010 and 2011. He is joined by Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma - who won the IPL titles with Kolkata Knight Riders (in 2012 & 2014) and Mumbai Indians (in 2013, 2015 & 2017) respectively - in the elite list. But, if you thought Dhoni's milestones with his team are amazing, wait till you hear about his personal achievements. A proven leader for CSK in the IPL, Dhoni's individual feats are second to none. The former Indian captain is currently placed second in the list of most runs scored by a CSK player, only behind Raina, in the tournament. In the overall list, Dhoni stands at the seventh spot. © Instagram/IPL When it comes to hitting big, Dhoni also holds the record of most sixes by an Indian player in the tournament. With 186 sixes to his name, Dhoni is only behind Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers who have slammed 292 and 187 maximums respectively. In the wicket-keeping department, Dhoni has effected 116 dismissals so far in the IPL. He is second only to Dinesh Karthik who has 124 dismissals to his name from behind the stumps. While Dhoni's stats in the tournament undoubtedly make him a key player, Chennai will still need to be at their prolific best if they intend to carry on their winning momentum from last season when they lock horns with Kohli-led RCB at the MA Chidambaram stadium this Saturday.
  11. It's true that actions speak louder than words, but for most women, the words still matter all the same. While there might be hundreds of ways how you can sneak into her heart and make a home out of it, there isn't quite anything like a sweet things you can say to her, every once in a while. But mind you, if those are mere empty words, and you don't mean a thing you say, she'll know, and you will end up losing her instead. So, we suggest you tread carefully when it comes to “sweet talking” into her life. Often called sweet nothings, these words and phrases are loaded with love and romance, which are meant to be gently whispered into your lover's ears. Women love sweet nothings, and they always work when you are trying to rev up your romance. However, changing times often demand a change of action, and so nowadays tiny, meaningful poems also do the trick. 12. Disha Patani may be on the 'wanted' list of all movie makers right now (courtesy her insane good looks and of course sheer talent and hard work), but there was a time when the young girl from Bareilly was a struggling actress like most of her contemporaries. View this post on Instagram ð¸ A post shared by disha patani (paatni) (@dishapatani) on Feb 3, 2019 at 10:00pm PST We found the first audition which she did for a brand at the age of 19 and looks like she was always meant for the big things in life. Disha was 19 when she auditioned for the advertisement. She was later known as the 'Cadbury' girl for a long time before she landed her debut role in the Dhoni biopic opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. She is currently rumoured to be dating 'good friend' Tiger Shroff. 13. Amitabh Bachchan might be 76, but there is a reason the man is still recognized as a legend. And no, we're not even talking about his acting chops here. When someone consistently keeps up - scratch that, gives youngsters a run for their money when it comes to style and fashion, that too at the age of 76, he must be doing something right. Big B just reminded us that he's the OG style icon once again, at Akash Ambani's wedding reception. He wore a simple kurta pyjama, but accessorized that with the most regal stole we've ever seen. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani We're in love with that black, white, silver, and blue striped stole, adorned with elaborately embroidered silver birds. Take a closer look here. © Viral Bhayani However, the credit here apparently goes to daughter Shweta Bachchan, because she is the one who chose her dad's outfit for the function, as mentioned by Big B himself in a heartwarming Instagram post. "Daughters are the best .. !! especially when she chooses what the Father should wear !!" - he wrote. © Instagram/Amitabhbachchan View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Mar 10, 2019 at 10:59am PDT We love the super relaxed vibe of the black kurta and ultra wide pyjamas. Age clearly is affecting him like it affects wine! © Viral Bhayani All we can say is, Bravo, sir. Also, Shweta Bachchan probably should become a stylist because she clearly is a natural. *Claps*
  14. The Men in Blue are currently guests in the former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's hometown of Ranchi for the crucial third of five ODIs against Team Australia, scheduled to take place on 8th March 2019. It is a well-known fact that a major reason why the Jharkhand capital is known globally is because of the inspirational ascend of the wicket-keeper batsman, who rose from the streets and went on the win big trophies for the country, in a game which is treated as a religion. Dhoni is a star, nay, a god in Ranchi. Tourists from all over the world visit the city literally to be a part of a 'Dhoni Tour'. Where he went to have tea, his locker room, his favourite place to sit back and experience Ranchi cricket in all its glory, everything has been well documented by the cricketing world. Now that the prodigal son has returned, the streets are his to rule. An automobile enthusiast, Dhoni has a massive garage of beasts like Ferrari 599 GTO and GMC Sierra 3500HD but the car that our 'Captain Cool' is particularly fond of, is his silver Hummer H2 (probably because that's the only car out of his collection that would move on Indian roads and over monstrous speed-breakers). Whenever Dhoni is in Ranchi, he loves to move around in his shiny Hummer. Remember the time Thala rode past the New Zealand squad in his supercar while Kiwi batsman Ross Taylor's jaw dropped to the floor? Remember when Dhoni drove to the ground with his Hummer and NZ players were left in awe ðð. Look at Ross's face. Mass pic.twitter.com/6JpE1AdWEY — Naveen (@ImNsamy) March 6, 2019 This time around, ahead of the third ODI against the Aussies, Dhoni decided to take the youngsters of the team, Rishabh Pant and Kedar Jadhav, for a spin in the H2. As expected, the car was surrounded by Dhoni's most ardent fans making it difficult for the cricketers to even get inside SUV. 15. MWC (Mobile World Congress) is an annual trade show that happens in Barcelona. It marks a very important milestone in the telecom as well as the phone industry, since brands announce their plans for the upcoming year and this helps in setting a proper roadmap for upcoming tech. While one would expect the MWC 2019 to be all about 5G, folding phones shall be stealing the limelight this year. © YouTube For years, we've heard Samsung tease bendable displays, and we're finally going to see them in the wild. In fact, the world's first bendable phone has already been shown off at CES 2019 by Royole. We have a made a list of folding smartphones that we expect to see at MWC this year: 1. Samsung Galaxy Fold or X: © YouTube We aren't sure what the official name of the phone will be and the rumour mills have churned out a lot of them. This is the same phone Samsung had showed-off last year for a few seconds, and we expect it to go on sale by the end of this year. Reports suggest that Samsung will call it the "Infinity Flex" display and it'll measure 7.3-inches with a resolution of 2152 x 1536 pixels. It's slated to cost a whopping US$ 1,800 (Rs 1,29,000) at launch and will sport a gigantic 6,000+ mAh battery. The battery shall be split and divided into the two sides. Reports also suggest that Samsung will call the interface OneUI and will let the user open three apps at once. Obviously, it shall be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 processor or even Samsung's own Exynos chipset. 2. Huawei's Foldable Phone: © LetsGoDigital Huawei has emerged as a major long term player and is currently among the few to compete with Samsung in the flagship range. While Samsung has been officially teasing foldable phones for years, we've seen multiple patent filings by Huawei to confirm the brand is serious about the segment. Not much is known about its phone right now, but Huawei's CEO had told in an interview once that the foldable phone can replace your laptops. Reports suggest it will sport a 7-inch display and support 5G. If Huawei is serious about marketing the phone as a laptop replacement, it shall also have a blazing fast processor for top-notch performance on the go. 3. LG: © LetsGoDigital Samsung and LG not only compete indirectly selling smartphones but also have a rivalry in the display panel segment. The two supply a huge chunk of panels to other OEMs and Samsung has managed to get an edge with OLED panels. With folding displays, LG doesn't want to miss out on the opportunity. LG has registered three brand names: Flex, Foldi, and Duplex. Flex could be a curved phone, Foldi could be a folding phone, Duplex could be a larger tablet cum phone with two folds. For now, we haven't heard much about their plans, and given the poor sales record of LG phones, we expect the brand to go hard on this concept to make a comeback. 4. Motorola: © WikiMedia The brand was insanely popular back in the day for its RAZR phones. The flip phones had created a hype of their own and the series had helped Motorola become a top phone maker. Now, the brand is owned by Lenovo and intends on making a nostalgic, but modernised comeback with Razr branding. Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said that foldable screens may be the key to reintroduce the RAZR. There have been patents registered that suggest the company is exploring this design line. 5. Xiaomi: © Xiaomi Last month Xiaomi released a prototype video that showed both sides of the phone can be folded to transform it from a tablet into a more compact phone. Xiaomi's president revealed that they have employed a four-wheel drive foldable shaft technology and a foldable display to achieve the form factor. The prototype visible in the video demonstrates only the folding functionality of the device and all other specifications remain unknown. Xiaomi has become a major player globally and is capable of derailing other products in the segment with aggressive pricing.
  16. As WWE India's Twitter handle suggests, it has been 20 years of pure destruction as Paul 'Big Show' Wight made his first WWE appearance in a special Valentine's Day steel cage match between the Texas Rattlesnake 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and the company's owner, Vince McMahon. His first appearance on the show was one of the best debuts by any in-ring performer during the 'Attitude Era' as the 7 footer emerged from underneath the ring as McMahon's bodyguard and tossed Austin into the metal bars of the cage head-first. Having already wrestled in organisations like the World Wrestling Association for over a couple of years, Show had already made a name for himself. However, the fact that he had signed a deal with Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Entertainment (https://www.mensxp.com/search.html?q=WWE) was kept under the radar and nobody had a clue about the plans for the giant's huge debut. “It was such a cool impact because no one really saw it coming. No one knew that I was committed to WWE, no one expected me to show up at Valentine's Day Massacre and the way they introduced me was pretty cool,” Wight told WWE. Wrestlers tend to lose out on fan-following from time to time and need to work on their kayfabe characters regularly to be liked by the WWE Universe and stay relevant with the changing times and a regular influx of great, young talents to the main roster almost every year. But, there was something about Wight as a person that made him likable throughout. Being a heel or a babyface didn't matter to him as whatever character he used to bring to the audience, they used to welcome it with open arms. Big Show has had one of the most illustrious career with the WWE. He is a 2x WWE Champion, 1x ECW Champion, 2x World Heavyweight Champion, 3x Hardcore Champion, 1x United States Champion, 1x Intercontinental Champion, 3x WWE Tag Team Champion, and a 5x World Tag Team Champion. He also won the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy in 2015. Talking about what an amazing run he has had with the brand Show said: “I know a lot of people would think differently because I don't have enough 'wins'. It's never been about winning or losing for me, it's been about the show and the talent that I work with.”
  17. "...Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries That all started with the big bang!" The Big Bang Theory song is everything you need to know about how we (read: Earth) came into existence. Although, to think about it, the first ever big bang marked the beginning of the world. Ever wondered what will happen if and when a second big bang happens? Even better - What is the last thing you would do if it all ended with a big bang? I think I am going to stuff myself with a cheesecake. Because why not? Who cares about carbs now that everything is coming to an end. Then again, it's me. So, I asked some what is the last thing they would do if it all ended with a big bang, and here are some of the top answers: 1. I think I am going to grow a pair and tell my crush how I felt about her for the last seven years. 2. I have been saving up for a solo Paris trip. Might as well do that! 3. Have *** for one last time! No doubt about that. 4. Delete texts. Because someone ALWAYS survives and I would not want to take that risk. 5. I think I am going to treat myself with every kind of biryani that is there on the menu. And oh, have beer too! 6. I am going to go up to my school bully and punch him hard in the face. No holds barred! 7. Have the last cigarette with my best friend. 8. Tell the next-door 'sanskari' aunty, "Your *** life cannot EVER be is as exciting as mine. And now you are going to die too!" 9. Watch my favourite show live from L.A. Now that can be a possibility. No kidding, guys! It really is. How, you ask? Our favourite series on Zee Café - 'The Big Bang Theory' is coming to an end, and as much as we are unhappy about it, here is a silver lining to this sad news. Zee Café is running a contest, till February 15, which gives all The Big Bang Theory fans an opportunity to watch the show live in Los Angeles. All you have to do is answer the question - 'What is the last thing you would do if it all ended with a Big Bang?'. Use #FlyWithCafé on your answer, and don't forget to tag Zee Café on your post. 18. If you're prepping for the big date that you've been looking forward to for a very long time, it'll be very unfortunate if you blow it off with your own silly mistakes. So, here's a guide for you so that you don't make any disastrous mistakes that'll probably turn the other person off. Apart from a lot of things that could go wrong fashion-wise, there are also certain grooming mistakes that you're likely to make. Here is a checklist to avoid these mistakes: 1. Bad Breath This tops the list of things you might forget to check before you step out. Before the big date, you could either take a look at these steps or pop a few mints to make sure your mouth doesn't reek of anything bad. It's important to have clean white teeth too. If you think your teeth have started to turn yellow, it's better to book a dentist appointment and get the routine cleaning done beforehand. 2. Body Odour View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tiger Shroff (@tigerjackieshroff) on Jan 3, 2019 at 10:55pm PST If you have a date at the end of a long working day, it doesn't hurt to freshen your pits with a dash of deodorant or a roll on, so that you can raise your hands freely like Tiger Shroff. 3. Unkempt Hands © Instagram One of the many things that your date will notice about you is the way you keep your hands. If they look like the picture above, she will be disturbed by it even if she doesn't show it. Think about it this way, if you spot dirty nails you would be equally grossed out too, right? It works both ways. 4. Unkempt Beard & Hair © Instagram If your hair and beard are dishevelled and you look like you just got out of bed for a date, probably because you want to send out a message that you want to keep things casual by being casual, it's a bad move pal. This won't get you a second date in the very least. Get a salon appointment before you go for your date and make sure your final look is clean and polished. This will definitely get you brownie points, trust us. 5. Not Making An Effort © Instagram Remember, the Beyonce-Ed Sheeran concert? It was outrageous for Ed Sheeran given the sheer contrast in his and Beyonce's get ups. She wore an elaborate gown and he turned up in jeans! The idea is not to go over the top with your efforts. However, keeping in mind where your date is set, you certainly can make some quality effort that goes on to show that you care, which will most certainly be appreciated by your date.
  19. Paul Wight, more commonly known as Big Show, has been in the business of bursting his opponents' chests with open-arm slaps and knocking them out with a direct punch to the face with a fist as big as a freaking frying pan for a little over 24 years. Making his not-so-impressive debut with the World Wrestling Association on 24th December 1994 - a match he lost by countout - Big Show made it to the big stage a year later with the World Championship Wrestling. Getting into some of the greatest duels with the biggest names of the wrestling world like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, Big Show soon became one of the top in-ring performers in the world. According to his fellow wrestlers, an extremely 'safe' wrestler to perform against, the 7-feet-tall Show had constant health issues because of his massive size and heavy weight resulting in major medical problems such as having an irregular heartbeat, chewed out joints and constant agony for years. Shifting between 'fat' and 'less-fat' body types, over the years, Big Show often asked the typically jacked colleagues like Triple H and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson about their diet plans but could never get a definite response out of them. “When you take the time and do the research (about nutrition) it's more about what suits you, not what suits everybody,” Show spoke out on Conan O'Brien's chat show. One fine day, in what was a comparatively short conversation between Big Show and John Cena, Show talked about how weird it would be for the giant to have abs and Cena said: “Yeah. A giant with abs. That wouldn't be marketable at all,” as he walked away. Cena's words brought a reality check for the wrestler. He realised that coming up with a complete transformation would not only bring him better health, it could also bring along a new in-ring life for the athlete who was desperately searching for his lost mojo. “You don't make the transformation I've made without a serious commitment to changing 40 years of improper diet and improper training,” he told WWE.com. “I wanted to make a change, and I was given the time and opportunity to make a change, so I took advantage of it.” While in the initial days of Show's new determination to transform himself, his body didn't respond to his efforts uniformly, but as the kilos dropped, his muscular physique soon began to come out, which further motivated the big man to do better. The result? Hey @Shaq...glad your training!! Because so am I! #GiantAbs #WrestleMania pic.twitter.com/1WepdkHqWj — “The Big Show” Paul Wight (@WWETheBigShow) January 15, 2017 Show's heaviest was 244 kg. He brought it down to 210 kg and finally Show's current weight is a phenomenal 170 kg! What's really worth marvelling at is the fact that Show not only lost so much weight but also kept his muscles. And guess what, a giant with the giant abs and giant biceps looks a lot more terrifying (a lot more sellable) as compared to a blob moving around the ring with a broken hip in his black tiny spandex! We hope to see Paul 'Big Show' Wight back on the WWE roster soon. Until then, let's leave the big guy to himself with a small 'Happy birthday' note.

  22. “India's music festival scene seems to have taken a leaf out of the big fat Indian wedding booklet. They keep getting grander,” I overheard a fellow attendee who was attending her first major music festival in India. First of all, let's establish that I'm no expert on the subject. But music fest regulars keep telling me about amplified audiences and improved logistical arrangements in the last few years. These efforts have definitely put India on the world map of parties and merrymaking in the name of music. I assume that most of you reading this are at least aware of the Fyre documentary on Netflix; so we know how bad things can get. My friends from the PR industry insist that Budweiser, especially with its vertical Budweiser Experiences (BE), has had a critical impact in this space. To be honest, it's hard to ignore the good things that have happened in electronic music via BE fests like Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Sensation. In India, it has also introduced 'What's Brewing' – a global music platform where local and international artists perform exclusive sets and BUDx Boiler Room, which claims to be the first global electronic music lab in India. © Budweiser/MensXp Budweiser Experiences calls itself an innovative platform curated with an aim to shape youth culture in India and provide world-class experiences for our consumers across the passion points of music, art, sport and lifestyle. And going by our experience at Sensation, when they invited us over for arguably India's most well-known dance music festival Magnetic Fields, we had to answer the call. It was my first trip to the magical land of musical experiences in the North West corner of Rajasthan, Jhunjhunu. The festival takes over the ostentatious Alsisar Mahal every December to bring together the most regal rave in India. Around 4,000 partygoers gather to freely glamp in the sand, meander across sunbaked roofs, and enjoy the fluid nature of the festival's structure (you aren't given the Festival Guidebook until you arrive at the venue) across three days. Plot twist: I was sober throughout the rave. I'm not averse to experiments, but ingesting psychedelics didn't feel as inviting at that point in time. It's easy to feel like a misfit in that sea of 3,999-odd others in that situation but I got through and had a lot of fun in the process. With the party season is in full swing right now, you might also find yourself in similar situations. That's why your saviour has made you a proper guide to stay sober and yet make the most of India's big fat music festivals. And it goes like this: Immerse in the travels © Budweiser/MensXp There's only one way to approach Alsisar Mahal i.e road transport. Most attendees chose to drive but our media junket was provided with our own bus from Delhi. The camp site was around 225km away and the landscapes after exiting the NCR confines were a huge relief from city life. More so for the music journalists who were travelling from Mumbai. There's only one midway restaurant on the way though. Cars had made a beeline and the costumes of their passengers were a definite giveaway about their destination. Do try their pakodas with chaai, and have a plate of the biryani if the hunger pangs are too intense. Pro tip: Carry your own cigarettes and carry your own snacks. Everything else you're too careful about, I'm sure. Make friends © Budweiser/MensXp I met a few familiar faces from my Mumbai circles, in Delhi. But little did I know about India's music journalist community. Some of them, just like the sports and auto sectors, are true nerds of their craft. And eventually, nothing beats a good old glass of rum to make new friends. The rest of the fest's audience was drawn from across the country, particularly the party-friendly cities of Mumbai and Bangalore. There were also expats from the Gulf and a number of Europeans, of the backpacking, hippy variety, who were climaxing on this orgasmic intersection of 'culture' and history. “Ek bottle paani,” I heard a white dude ask a local vendor. A few quick exchanges later we exchanged numbers and promised to host each other in Germany and Delhi respectively. Pro tip: Just go up to people and talk. Most fest goers don't bite. Eat well © Budweiser/MensXp Speaking of local vendors, don't fall into the trap of glamping restaurants; rather eat at the by lanes running along the palace's boundary walls. The entire village comes to life during Magnetic Fields and locals conjure up tiny eateries, extending from their patios. Try out all the local food and especially some of the desi chicken and mutton preparations. It was so cold I couldn't resist the Maggi and eggs either. Pro tip: Carry toilet rolls if anything goes wrong. You're in the middle of a fucking desert. Colder climates don't run a high risk of dehydration unless you're drinking. Alcohol can easily be obtained at one of these makeshift local shops. Prices are nearly double the standard rates, but that's the least you can pay for that convenience. Either way, stay hydrated under the day Sun (which can be scorching at times) and pee responsibly. Enjoy the countryside © Budweiser/MensXp Apart from satiating gastronomic requisites, the Rajasthani countryside also offers unique handloom shops and other surprises. It likes to pride itself in being a capsule illustrative if a time when the land was ruled by Rajput warriors. Look carefully and you'll find ancient frescos and carvings on the medieval era buildings. Lucky ones, like yours truly, also get guided tours from the palace's prince himself. He followed him around the maze-like gullies and arrived at a pop-up staged called Pukaar. No trip to Rajasthan is ever complete without a dose of folk music and Kutle Khan's group was just that glimpse of the region's melodic prowess. Pro tip: Talk to the locals, they're fascinated by everything that's happening around them. PS: The more orthodox ones might just be a little pissed Let the music guide you © Budweiser/MensXp And finally, the variety of musical experiences is a fitting exhibition of the festival's essence. There's a stage called Oasis, which is a cute little setup in the sand. DJs from Monica Dogra to Kristy Harper, and Delhi Sultanate played under the winter Sun here across the three days. Grab a six-pack from a nearby counter and you're sorted for a few hours. The sundown magic begins at the terrace party, where I discovered the effortless coolness of Lifafa and the nights then unfold at the North Stage, the South Stage and the BudxYard. Along with the likes of Daphin, Pangaea and Carista at these arenas, a Delhi band called Submarine in Space enthralled a niche crowd at Piano Man Jazz Club's 'The Peacock Club' stage. My personal favourite at the festival though was undoubtedly Tajdar Junaid. Before his participation was announced, big acts including Nabihah Iqbal were cancelled. Music journalists were especially bummed, but Junaid put a smile on everyone's face and a tear or two in a few eyes. Pro tip: Keep listening, there'll be a tune for you. So there you go. Next time you're feeling left out at Mag Fields or any other big fat Indian music fest, here's your tried and tested guide to merriment. Thank me later.
  23. Apple has already flirted with the idea of providing a gaming experience on your TV via Apple TV. However, a new report suggests that the Cupertino giant is now looking to make a new product that will work on a subscription model. It will work similar to Xbox' Game Pass and plans are still in the early stages, the report said. Another idea was suggested that Apple may also play the role of a publisher with a few development studios. In the gaming world, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all offer a subscription service for their respective consoles. It provides gamers access to a large catalogue of games for a monthly subscription fee. Xbox Game pass already offers access to Xbox 360, Xbox Exclusives and other games for $9.99. The Microsoft-owned gaming company also plans to launch a streaming service called xCloud next year. Sony also provides gamers with the ability to stream games via PlayStation Now which includes titles from platforms like PS4, PS3 and PS2. Even though Apple is not known for providing hardware gaming titles on iOS devices, the App Store is home to millions of casual games and players alike. In fact, mobile gaming revenue is expected to reach $106 billion in two years because of titles like Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Pokemon GO and others. © Youtube Apple has also co-designed a gaming controller with SteelSeries that works with Apple TV. Apple as already patented other input methods and is planning increase in graphical capabilities. For example, the latest iPad Pro is capable of delivering similar graphics performance as the Xbox One S. That's because The A-series CPUs and GPUs found in iPads and iPhones can rival the current generation of gaming consoles. © Youtube/CultofMac Services are a big source of revenue for Apple and since hardware sales have plateaued, a gaming subscription could potentially ad a new source of revenue for Apple. In fact, if Apple provides AAA games with more serious titles rather than casual games, it may just turn the tide in the gaming industry. With the rise of games like Fortnite, PUBG and Clash of Clans, gaming is about to become bigger than ever before and Apple's new subscription could be the game changer for the industry. However, it remains to be seen whether Apple will host AAA games or continue to provide casual games on their platform.
  24. Hafþór Björnsson is probably the only human in the world who could play and justify the character of The Mountain in the iconic show 'Game Of Thrones'. The giant Icelander, who stands at 6 feet and 9 inches, obviously shares nothing in common with the brutal character he essays, except for his size, of course. 25. An interview is an essential process and the first step towards getting a dream job. While prepping answers and getting the company's history that you're interviewing for is the most important aspect of the interview prep, your physical presentation also matters. The first impression to the interviewer is how you look. There is an unspoken rule book of things that you should never wear to an interview. But besides that, there are certain general common mistakes that people tend to make before going for interviews. For example: 1. Not Planning Your Interview Outfit You might spend all your time in interview prep and not give a single passing thought to the outfit that you're going to wear. That's a big problem. What if your pants don't fit you right anymore? What if the shirt that you usually wear has an ink stain on it? What if the tie doesn't go with the outfit and stands out but in a bad way? Too many whats and ifs. However, if you plan your outfit before hand, it saves you from last minute anxiety and otherwise easily preventable disasters. 2. Not Ironing Your Outfits Even if you're sorted with the exact details of the outfit in your head, it doesn't mean your job is over. Hey, you need to to take that outfit out and iron it to perfection. Make sure you get that middle crease with the pants. Also, hang your clothes and put them away in a corner so that all that hard work doesn't go waste. 3. Not Getting A Fresh Shave And A Haircut You need to get a formal beard that is sharply cut and a presentable hairstyle for your interview. You don't want the interviewer to think you're going to lounge around in the office once you get the job (even if that is exactly what you plan to do) © allstyles 4. Not Wearing The Right Kind Of Shoes You can't wear open toe-d shoes or sneakers to an interview. An office's environment might allow you to make these changes later to your outfit. However, for the interview it's best to keep it formal because you don't know the mindset of the interviewer. © farfetch 5. Not Polishing Your Shoes Even if you have the right kind of shoes, not polishing them is a huge eye-brow raiser. If you have everything else going right for you, don't forget to polish your shoes. 6. Not Using A Mouthwash It is very likely that an interview might take place after hours of waiting. You don't want to take the chance and have your mouth stink when you open it in front of the interviewer. Always keep emergency mints and a travel mouthwash bottle with you and use it whenever you feel the need to freshen up. Trust me, it makes all the difference. 7. Not Removing Your Jewellery We're talking lockets, bracelets, rings, studs. You don't want to heavily accessorize before the big day. Feel free to wear these trinkets once you get the job but during an interview, you don't want to let an interviewer's opinion of your metal trinkets affect your career prospects, right?
