  4. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way since the first Iron Man movie which came out in 2008 and has enjoyed global fame since then. One of their biggest fan-following comes from India so it is only obvious that the guys in the studios try to give us a shoutout from time to time. Here are the five major Indian references made in The Avengers and other MCU Movies: 1. Bruce Banner In Kolkata - The Avengers (2012) At the very beginning of The Avengers, Natasha Romanoff is given the task of locating Bruce Banner, who was trying to keep his calm in the “slums of Kolkata” and looking after the sick. 2. Terror Attack In Mumbai - Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) At the near end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Alexander Pierce tries to explain his plan to the World Security Council and talks to Councilman Singh dirently. Pierce asks him if he will be willing to use the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s resources to deal with a situation in which Pakistan attacks Mumbai. 3. Tony Stark Attends Indian Wedding - Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Although Robert Doney Jr. wasn’t really in India, the moment in the very first Spidey movie as an MCU product in which Stark is in the middle of an Indian wedding, surely surprised a lot of Indian fans. 4. ‘Glory To Hanuman’ - Black Panther (2018) When M’Baku makes his first appearance to challenge T'Challa for the throne, he says “Glory To Hanuman” signifying that the people of his Jabari tribe were the devotees of the Hindu god. However, the Indian Censor Board felt that this reference might hurt people’s religious sentiments and decided to bleep the god’s name from the film. 5. ‘Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba’ - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) This last one’s a bit tricky. While Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 didn’t really have any Indian reference, one of their marketing campaigns involved redoing the movie trailer with 1980’s superhit song Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba. While this experiment received mixed reactions from the fans, the film did exceedingly well in India and it is safe to say that the marketing stunt paid off. 5. When you are an outsider, it gets ten times harder to find that opportunity to enter the Bollywood industry. It gets a tad bit easier when you have someone from the industry supporting and pushing you to get a dream debut. If you have heard stories of outsiders, you would have a vague idea about how it took them years to get that golden opportunity but for people who have a solid backing like that of godfather Salman Khan, it’s easy to break in. We are not talking about how things are when you enter the industry as then it all depends on your acting skills but it’s all about that one single opportunity that outsiders crave for. As we mentioned that Salman Khan has been the godfather to many actors and some made it big like Katrina Kaif but sadly, some are still struggling to make it big. Today, we will be talking about the actors who were launched by Salman but failed to make a name they thought they could have made as they had a strong push. 1. Aayush Sharma View this post on Instagram Arpita Khan’s husband and Salman Khan’s brother-in-law got his messiah in the form of the Bodyguard actor and he made his debut with Loveyatri. Aayush will now be seen in Kwatha with Katrina’s sister Isabelle Kaif who will also be given a launchpad by Salman. His debut movie didn’t work out at the box office and it somewhere backfired for the superstar. According to a source quoted by Deccan Chronicle, “Salman wasn’t keen on launching his brother-in-law. But what to do? He’s the family’s son-in-law after all, and everyone knows Salman won’t deny his baby-sister Arpita (Khan) anything.” “He tried to get an A-list heroine for the film, but everyone excused themselves pleading lack of time. Only Katrina Kaif could have said yes. But since she’s so closely associated with Salman, it would have been odd for her to be seen romancing his brother-in-law. So he had no choice but to sign a newcomer opposite Aayush. All of Salman’s established director-friends also backed out, and a new director had to be brought on board,” he added. We really hope Aayush gets to impress the audience with his further projects but he did get the launchpad easily and there’s no denying that. 2. Sooraj Pancholi View this post on Instagram Salman Khan’s protege Sooraj Pancholi might have got a bumper push by the superstar but the bigger fortune lies with the audiences who haven’t accepted him wholeheartedly yet. Salman launched Sooraj with Hero, the remake of Subhash Ghai's directed 1983 film by the same name. 3. Athiya Shetty View this post on Instagram Just like Sooraj, Salman also launched Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty in a disastrous remake of Subhash Ghai’s Hero, which was co-produced by him. And ever since the unsuccessful debut, Athiya has been trying to find her bearings in the cinematic hierarchy. 4. Daisy Shah View this post on Instagram Daisy Shah was a co-dancer in the song Lagan Lagi in Salman Khan’s 2003 superhit film Tere Naam. She later went on to play his leading lady a decade later in the film Jai Ho. She got a launchpad but failed to make a mark with her future projects. Post Jai Ho, she appeared in films like Hate Story 3 and Race 3. 5. Bhumika Chawla View this post on Instagram Salman launched Bhumika in Bollywood with the movie Tere Naam and she was well appreciated for her performance. Post that big launch, she was hardly seen in Bollywood movies. She was last seen in MS Dhoni in a supporting role. All these actors were launched by Salman Khan but haven’t been able to make a mark. 7. Dressing well is an art and it's not just for men who have washboard abs and a summer body but fashion and style can really help men who are overweight as well. Whether you have broad shoulders or a round belly, there are some comfortable and fashionable hacks that can prove helpful for your shape. 1. Choose Black Or Dark Colours © iStock While it's not a fashion rule to follow, but if you wish to give an illusion of a slimming effect, black is the way to go. It is said that black clothes zap the fat as it hides all the shadow cast. What it means is that, when there's no colour, there's no contrast. Hence, a black ensemble will always work in your favour. 2. Try Wearing V-Neck © iStock People might have always told you that V-necks are not a good idea and are an outdated version. Turns out, for your body type, they are a perfect match. A mid-plunge V-neck in your case has the ability to make your face and body look lengthened when layered correctly. As for the fit, choose a roomy style, that lets your body breathe. And, don't tuck in the jumper in your jeans, as it could outline your belly. For a slimming effect, you can also try V-neck tees, polo shirts or Henleys. 3. Wear Shirts With Broad Collars © iStock Broad or spread collars, differ from brand to brand. Look for styles that go with your body type. These type of collars, make your face look proportional. If you opt to wear a tie with your shirt, make sure you go for the big neck-tie knot to add to the slimming effect. 4. Wear Caps Or Hats © iStock When you are plus size, you need to put more focus on creating length vertically, as it helps one look slimmer. The way to do that is by utilising accessories that are a bit large, for example, baseball caps or hats. This will help take away the attention from the body. 5. Switch From Belts To Suspenders © iStock One of the most common mistakes that big guys make is that they use belts to hold their pants. This often makes the lower area look flabby. For men with protruded stomach, using suspenders can create an ideal shape for you. It has the ability to mask the stomach. They can certainly look fashionable if worn correctly with the right type of outfits. 6. Opt For Simple Clothing © iStock When we say simple clothing, you basically need to ditch those heavy, vibrant. huge prints. Simple dressing is one of the best style hacks for big guys. Prints add volume to the body but you can opt for colour-block pieces in dark hues, like khaki green, navy blue or charcoal grey. Going for bright colours can kill the look for you. 7. Try Using Shapewear © iStock Shapewear is still a grey area for men. But shapewear sits perfectly underneath your clothes, giving an illusion of a slimmer body. So if you aren't into gymming but still wish to look stylish, go for shapewear. They are your best bet to show that you have shed some pounds and look fashionable too. View the full article
  8. There have been countless rumours of a smaller notch iPhone 13 due this year but now a leaker known as “DuanRui" shared images that could give us our best look at the smaller notch. Apple’s redesigned notch for the iPhone 13 was also compared with the existing iPhone 12 notch to put things into perspective. © Twitter_DuanRui The leaker posted three images that originally appeared on Weibo; however, the source of the images still remains unverified. These images appear to be "film samples" or screen protectors for the next iPhone which could give us a better idea of what to expect. One can clearly notice that the new notch’s width is smaller than the current notch design but still isn’t a radical change. The reduced width was possible because the earpiece is now being integrated into the top bezel, right about the TrueDepth camera and Face ID sensors. According to a similar report by Mac Otakara, the iPhone 13’s TrueDepth comer system is getting narrower because the receiver at the top of the display will move to the edge instead. © Twitter_DuanRui Other reliable Apple leakers such as Ming-Chi Kuo has also said in the past that the iPhone 13 will have a smaller notch but did not mention any further details. According to previously leaked 3D-printed mockups, the new notch design will be 5.35mm in height, as opposed to 5.30mm, and 26.80mm in width, down from 34.83mm. © Twitter_DuanRui It’s been five years since Apple introduced the notch with the iPhone X in 2017 and has not changed the design since then. Apple will probably redesign the notch with the iPhone 13 to give users more screen real estate on either side of the notch. The iPhone 13 is shaping up to be a bigger upgrade than expected as other rumours suggest the smartphone will also feature a 120Hz “ProMotion” display, larger batteries, a fast A15 chipset amongst other upgrades. Apple’s new flagship devices are expected to launch sometime in September this year and we should know more about the new iPhone closer to its launch date. View the full article

  13. There are several reasons why man boobs happen and trust us, it's not a bad sign at all. Fortunately, there are ways in which it's possible to conceal them with a few adjustments in your style and wardrobe. Starting with what you wear below to utilising accessories, here are six ways in which you can take the attention away from the chest area and look fashionable. 1. Stick To Dark Colours © iStock Dark colours usually work for man boobs. They have the potential to add the slimming down effect. The darker hues do not draw any attention to the chest area. Choose colours like black, charcoal grey, dark blue, etc. as they are your safe bet. You can also try pastel hues, to minimise the appearance of man boobs, as they look better than plain white. 2. Opt For Compression Shirt © iStock A compression shirt is designed in spandex or neoprene fabric. It's a functional base layer, which helps to conceal the chest area and a comfortable style that offers stability around the torso. They come in a variety of silhouettes, including a tank tee, T-shirt and full-sleeve T-shirts. If you can't afford to go for compression shirts, buy undershirts in blended fabrics that are a size smaller than your original size. 3. Hide It With Small Patterns © iStock Patterned shirts are a good and bad idea both. The right ones can distract from the chest area whereas the wrong ones will highlight it. In that case, favour smaller patterns that are closer together. For example, opt for ones that don't create a lot of colour contrast. Smaller blue checks or all-over print are some good options. 4. Slim Down With Pinstripes © iStock When it comes to suits, they are naturally slimming due to the colour and the texture that's uniform from head to hoe. When you are shopping for suits, ensure you go for narrow pinstripes instead of large patterned suits. Steer clear of windowpane or glen plaids, as they can emphasise your man boobs. 5. Wear Thick Fabrics When Possible © iStock Going for thicker fabrics is a great way to conceal man boobs. While that's possible for colder locations, you can still opt for other textured fabrics that are suitable for all weather conditions like canvas, corduroy, denim etc. These materials are not thin and will take the attention away from your chest area. 6. Wear Other Accent Pieces © iStock Wearing accent pieces, for example, a pair of sneakers, or a wristwatch helps create an alternative focal point. The idea here is to use accessories as a trick. That in no way means you end up wearing every accessory in your wardrobe. Also, avoid wearing low necklines and other accessories like chains or necklaces. View the full article
  14. The show Scam 1992 became an unexpected blockbuster hit and the show starred fairly new actors mostly. Pratik Gandhi played the role of Harshad Mehta in the series and became people’s favourite overnight. The story of the show was loved by the audience but it was once again retold. The Big Bull, a film starring Abhishek Bachchan that tells the same story was released recently. The film also stars Samir Soni, Saurabh Shukla, and many more. View this post on InstagramIn an interview recently, Pratik Gandhi was asked what he thinks about Abhishek Bachchan’s portrayal of Harshad Mehta in the film and show’s comparison with his film. He had the sassiest reply. He said, “There can’t be competition between actors. Had it been products, there would have been competition. If I was a biscuit or a soap, there would be competition.” He told IANS, “I am a human being. How can two people, looking so different and having distinct types of acting, be compared? I don’t take the pressure that your next thing has to be bigger than the previous one." Not only this, the Gujarati actor’s name is also included in Limca Book of Records for a monologue that he performed in three languages. View this post on Instagram According to Pratik Gandhi, the success of his series Scam 1992 is due to his steady rise as an actor. The success of the show also opened up how the show has opened up more opportunities. He said, “I would convert this as excitement where people are giving me different opportunities now. They are open to working with me on different subjects — which is very exciting for me as an actor, and I am just looking forward to playing another character. So yeah, I don’t think that much. My theatre background is helping me here". What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below! View the full article

Recently, a Twitter user called Abhishek Bachchan a third-rate actor after watching his latest release The Big Bull. The actor didn’t take the comment to heart. Instead, he replied in a very positive and humorous way. A Twitter user called Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in The Big Bull extremely disappointing and also said that Pratik Gandhi and Hansal Mehta’s web series, Scam 1992 was far better than the Abhishek Bachchan film. 17. Harshad Mehta was often referred to as the 'Big Bull' of Dalal Street or the 'Amitabh Bachchan' of the Indian stock market. It was his involvement in the scam of 1992 that exposed the loopholes in the country's banking system. We saw the story in detail when Pratik Gandhi collaborated with Hansal Mehta for the Scam 1992 web series. Just months later, we were given one more opportunity to see Harshad’s life but this time in the form of Abhishek Bachchan starring as The Big Bull. The film went on air yesterday and I certainly had high expectations because I wanted to see what new the film could bring to the table. One cannot help but compare it with last year’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. It’s not that Abhishek didn’t do his part well but there were shortcomings in quite a few departments. Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of Hemant Shah, a lower-middle-class Gujarati who dreams about making it big and stumbles upon stock market investing as a way to achieve everything he has been desiring for. We have Sohum Shah as Hemant’s younger brother Viren. Ileana D’Cruz plays the role of the journalist who exposes the big scam while Nikita Dutta plays the role of Hemant’s wife in the movie. We also get to see Ram Kapoor in the role of Hemant’s lawyer. If you have seen the movie, you might agree with the fact it did fall short of expectations. And here are five reasons why we feel it didn’t hit the bull’s eye. 1. Characters Lacked Depth and ConvictionAbhishek does show patches of great performance as Hemant and reminded us of his character Dhirubhai Ambani in Mani Ratnam’s Guru but he still couldn’t manage to convince us as he couldn’t sink his teeth into the character. The character lacked finesse that might have made it seem more believable. With Sohum Shah, we had high expectations because of his strong performance in Tumbbad but he fails terribly here as he didn’t get enough material in terms of the screenplay to make his character feel real. Ileana D’Cruz also looked unfit for the character of a journalist who exposed such a big scam as she was sidelined by the writer. She has a strong part to play as she is the narrator of the movie. Nikita as Hemant’s wife was only reduced to just a pretty face. View this post on Instagram 2. Nothing New To Offer And Wavered ScreenplayAs we had already seen the story in detail, we were expecting something new and fresh. The film was surely at a disadvantage because the show had raised the bar way too high. The director could have taken a different take on the entire fiasco, maybe he could have focused on the emotional journey of Hemant. There were some scenes that weren’t just required and didn’t fit in. One more thing in the screenplay and plot that we found off was Bachchan’s evil laughs in between because that was genuinely annoying. View this post on Instagram 3. Dialogues Lacked PunchThe dialogues seem half-baked and badly written. Why do we say that? For instance, there’s a scene wherein Ileana’s character and Hemant are in conversation after he gets to know that there’s someone from his team who’s exposing all his secrets to her. He asks her, ‘Vibhishan Kon Hai’. Yes, you heard it right. There’s one more dialogue in the movie that makes you feel like the writing needed to be a tad bit sharper - ‘jo baadal garajte hai, woh baraste nahi.’ Dialogues are the soul and backbone of the movie and they didn’t do justice here. The characters fell victim to overdramatized writing. 4. Too RushedYou can argue with us on the fact that it’s a movie and it wasn’t easy for the director to put in everything in just 2.5 hours. We somewhere agree too but the way it has been shown, it looks rushed and the damage could have been fixed if the age-old method of flashback story-telling was avoided as the movie missed detailing. Perhaps, had the movie followed the linear progression, it wouldn’t have looked this rushed. Also, the director could have focused a little more on his initial struggles. 5. Great Supporting Cast Left With No Scope To ActThe supporting cast consists of Saurabh Shukla, Samir Soni, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ram Kapoor and Supriya Pathak but unfortunately, they didn’t have enough screen time to make their mark and it’s sad that such talent was wasted. Final Verdict:It could have been much better if the characters didn’t fall prey to the overdramatized writing style. Have you watched the movie yet? If you have, then do you agree with us? 18. Abhishek Bachchan’s film The Big Bull has finally released on Disney+Hotstar on April 8 and has been getting mixed reviews since then. The film is based on the stock market scam by Harshad Mehta which happened over ten years from 1980 to 1990. Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead role in the film and the movie is produced by Ajay Devgn. Abhishek Bachchan is being lauded for his portrayal of Harshad Mehta in the film. However, the narrative of the film has failed to impress the audience. Checkout the teaser of the film- Introducing The Big Bull... The mother of all scams!!! Trailer out on 19th March. #TheBigBull releasing on 8th April only on @DisneyplusHSVIP, stay tuned! #DisneyPlusHostarMultiplex @Ileana_Official @nikifyinglife @s0humshah @kookievgulati @ajaydevgn pic.twitter.com/U4v3S6odZj — Abhishek Bachchan (@juniorbachchan) March 16, 2021 The film also stars Nikita Dutta, Ileana D’Cruz, Ram Kapoor, Sohum Shah, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Saurabh Shukla among others. The film was supposed to release in theatres but was shifted to an OTT release due to the ongoing pandemic. About releasing the film on an OTT platform Abhishek said, “From digital to television to screen, there is going to have to be a variety on how you tell your stories. And there lays the biggest hurdle for Kookie (director Kookie Gulati) as he made this movie for the 70 mm screen and now because of the situation we were in and due to the pandemic, he had to now adapt his storytelling style to make it conducive to a digital streaming platform.” Here’s what people have to say about the film- Abhishek has done well.. He tried his level best to save this film but..... Rest all starcast decent, this film could have been much much better if there would have been a proper guidance by any senior person... Its looks unpolished#TheBigBull #TheBigBullReview @DisneyplusHSP — Rohitt Jaiswal (@rohitjswl01) April 8, 2021Really enjoyed #TheBigBull with family its super duper hit — Mahatma Gandhiji (@MK_Gandhiji) April 9, 2021#Scam1992 @juniorbachchan was lucky because there was no Guru released before his Guru. But now there was #Scam1992 before #TheBigBull — Raj Boruah (@theblrdevopsguy) April 9, 2021The bar set by #Scam1992 is very very high... #TheBigBull stands no where near to be honest. Way to go @juniorbachchan.@ajaydevgn — Gaurav .... (@ashugaurav13) April 9, 2021Don't compare #TheBigBull to #Scam1992 They're both good in their own ways. Stop showing unnecessary hate! — Ruhi Prasad (@ruhiinoor) April 9, 2021The film is constantly being compared to the series Scam 1992 and has received mixed reviews. A user also commented that the film failed to impress the audience and fell flat. Abhishek Bachchan also spoke about playing the role of a morally dubious man, “When I was discussing the film with Kookie, I had said that if you’re going to whitewash somebody then I am not up for it, because that makes a character very unidimensional, and that’s not what I am interested in doing. Today’s audience’s taste has also changed and evolved, from my understanding, they want to see the protagonist be more human, they want to see his flaws, they want to see grey characters.” Have you watched the film yet? 19. If you follow Abhishek Bachchan on Twitter, you would know that the actor specialises in the art of handling trolls and replying to random questions by his inquisitive followers. Today, someone asked him on Twitter why he should watch The Big Bull when he has already watched Hansal Mehta’s The Scam 1992. Abhishek, who never fails to amaze us with his sense of humour and wit, didn’t disappoint this time either. In response to the tweet, Abhishek wrote, “I’m in it” with a winking emoji. Well, Abhishek is surely one of the most underrated actors because he is a powerful performer and deserves way more recognition than he's got. I’m in it. 🤣 — Abhishek Bachchan (@juniorbachchan) April 5, 2021 People also agreed with Abhishek and said they will watch the movie as he has been giving some mind-blowing performances of late. © Abhishek Bachchan Twitter © Abhishek Bachchan Twitter The Big Bull tells the story of a stockbroker named Hemant Shah and is inspired by Harshad Mehta’s life. When the trailer was released, people drew comparisons between Pratik Gandhi and Abhishek Bachchan and also went on to say that they might not watch it as they already know the story. Earlier in an interview, The Big Bull director Kookie Gulati called the comparisons “unfair.” He told PTI that he, “hope(s) people do give me a chance, watch the film and realize they are two completely different projects. I am hoping our film also does as well as their series but if someone wants to compare, they’re welcome to. Once you see the film you’ll understand how there’s a completely different approach.” Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Abhishek had said that he is used to being compared to others. "I don't think I'm worthy of being compared to Pratik. I think he did a fantastic job, and I wish him all the best for his future endeavours," he said. He also shared that he has watched the show and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Big Bull is slated for a streaming release on Disney+ Hotstar on April 8. View the full article
