  1. 'Game of Thrones' is finally over, and no one is happy with Season 8 (what else is new?). However, now that it's over, we thought that it's finally time to hand out a very important award - the award for 'The Goodest Boi Of Westeros'. There were many contenders in Season one, but by the end of Season eight, we saw a lot of eliminations. After a lot of deliberation, we have decided that it should go to our top two finalists - Drogon and Ghost. Even though Ghost was leading with major sympathy votes post Jon's unceremonious 'petless' goodbye to him, Drogon caught up in the final episode, and how. Here are 4 reasons why Drogon and Ghost both deserve the coveted award: 1. They are the only two animals to have fought multiple battles valiantly and survived. Ghost fought in the battle of Castle Black, and then against the Night King's army. He lost an ear, but that did not defeat his spirit. Drogon fought the Lannister army during the loot, the White Walker army beyond the wall, as well as the final battle against the Night King's army. He also was injured multiple times, but did not give up. (c) HBO (c) HBO 2. They always had their parents' back. Ghost always came to Jon's rescue whenever he needed him, and continued doing it till the end. Drogon did the same for Dany. Even though he deserted her to go away for a short adventure for some time, he was right there when his mother needed help inside the fighting pit. Both of them always shadowed their mom and dad, and never gave up, even in the face of grave danger. (c) HBO (c) HBO 3. Both are just very intelligent bois who did their best and refused to let go of their parents, even after their death. Ghost refused to leave Jon's corpse post his death and made sure he sat right next to him till he was revived by Melisandre. Drogon tried reviving his dead mother with his snout, before taking her with him as he flew away from King's Landing. When Jon abandoned Ghost without petting him, one could see the sadness in his blood-red eyes, as he stood far away with his head drooping. Drogon, on the other hand, clearly was a perceptive creature who did not harm Jon, despite knowing he killed his mother. Instead, he burned down the Iron Throne as a final goodbye to his dead mother. (c) HBO (c) HBO All we can say is, both of them deserve this, and so much more. You boys are the best, and we shall always love you.
  2. Virender Sehwag, is known as one of the greatest openers in the history of Indian cricket. Despite the format he played in, he always had a unidirectional approach to batting; and that was to hit the ball beyond the fence. Test cricket was known to be a slow game in India, especially with the legacy of the likes of Sunil Gavaskar. Then came Sachin Tendulkar who brought about a change in the outlook of the audiences towards the longest format of the game. But the real revolution was brought about by the 'Sultan of Multan,' scoring 23 hundreds and amassing 8,000-plus Test runs at an average of just a shade under 50. One of the best moments of his career was when he scored his first triple hundred in Test cricket against arch-rivals, Pakistan in 2004. His knock of 309, including 39 boundaries and six sixes, made him the first Indian to score a triple hundred in Test cricket, surpassing VVS Laxman's 281, the then-highest score by an Indian batsman. View this post on Instagram 14 saal bemisaal #onthisday #gratitude #multan #309 A post shared by Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) on Mar 28, 2018 at 8:31pm PDT As cosmic as it sounds, his next triple hundred too came on the same date four years later, when he crossed his own personal best by posting 319 against South Africa at Chennai, which was made up of 42 fours and five sixes. On Friday, the same date of 29th March, Viru felt the nostalgia of both his incredible scores and shared his happiness with his fans. 29th March- A date which has ended up becoming special for me. On this day in 2004, I had the honour of becoming the first Indian to score a 300 in Test Cricket, scoring 309 against Pak & 4 years later on the same date got an opportunity to surpass 309, while scoring 319 vs SA ð pic.twitter.com/Wyik8NEskl — Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) March 29, 2019 After Sehwag took everyone down memory lane with his tweet, cricket fans and pundits wished the former Indian cricketer on the anniversary of his triple hundreds. 3. Ever since Gully Boy released, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Varma became household names that youngsters started looking up to, thanks to their stellar performances in the movie. However, let's take a moment here and remember who they spent a lot of time with - the one and only Ranveer Singh. Of course, it's only natural for them to take 'fashion' more seriously, and turns out, they've started doing it. © Instagram/itsvijayvarma 'Mc Sher' and 'Moeen Bhai' was just spotted at a screening, wearing super cool outfits - with the chillest ever vibe. © Viral Bhayani While Siddhant wore a statement black tiger sweatshirt from Kenzo, Vijay went the sporty yet classy route with a funky white sweatshirt. © Viral Bhayani We are in love with their choice of lowers and footwear. While Siddhant opted for a pair of khaki jogger pants with a pair of white sneakers, Vijay's ripped jeans and black boots proved to be playful, yet sophisticated. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is, Baba seems to have trained them really well, and we can't see what they have to offer next. All the best, boys!
  4. It's 2019 and a lot of people - and comedians - still haven't got the memo that if they need to be insensitive and not politically correct, then they're not as funny as they think. The lastest, most unexpected person who needs to hear this is Trevor Noah. Trevor Noah, the host of 'The Daily Show', ended up making a very untasteful joke about the Indian-Pakistan tensions on an episode of his show recently. We know how the turbulence between the two countries are at an all-time high right now, and that absolutely nothing about this situation is a joke. So, Trevor's racist take on the situation, obviously, did not sit well with the desi people. He started off by saying that if India and Pakistan did go to war, “it would be the most entertaining war of all time”. Umm? What? Does he really think he can make a joke about war? And, call that war “entertaining” for crying out loud? © YouTube He then followed with his reason why it would be entertaining. He said, “Cause the Indian soldiers would run out on the battlefield and be like - 'Time for you to die'.” The last part is said while singing in a very bad, racist accent, think Apu from The Simpsons, but 10 times worse. It was then followed by some random singing for some reason. Yeah, because every war has background music right? Then, keeping up with this racist narrative, he also thought it would be the longest war of all time because of all the dance numbers. Yes, Trevor, all the soldiers here are practising new dance numbers, that's what a war is, of course, it's not serious. For the longest time, India has been stereotyped as the nation with just dancing and singing and for years, people have been making fun of that because obviously, real life is just like a Bollywood movie, right? What's disappointing is that it's still going on, it's about damn time people stop with the racism. This whole controversy has obviously enraged every sane person, and people aren't holding back while calling him out. Moreover, even with everything going on between India and Pakistan, people from both sides have united to drag him. Even though this is against India and I am a Pakistani, this is still pretty racist @Trevornoah We may have our issues but **** you for racism.pic.twitter.com/qxN9ORh9Dl — Waqas (@waqas_x) February 28, 2019 So disappointing. How tremendously disappointing, @Trevornoah. War is NOT a form of entertainment. You spend 80% of your time criticizing Trump and the violence he could be stirring, but the possibility of India and Pakistan engaging in actual war is a filmy song and dance to you? https://t.co/dlR0gdvHQU — Riddhi Chakraborty (@thisisridz) February 28, 2019 Everyone should be worried. Usually I like @Trevornoah but his remarks on the India-Pakistan situation really irked me. You cannot compare an ongoing enmity originating back to the British empire to a petty squabble between two rappers. I'm Indian, my family are in the Air Force and frankly I'm worried. — ⬡ðððððð⬡ (@ThePsychoNyx) February 28, 2019 Seriously, stay in your lane. Hey can the white left come collect their South African import Trevor Noah because nobody has the fucking patience to listen to his hot takes about escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. Stay in your lane motherfucker. — istanbul (not constantinople) (@haryanagrandey) February 28, 2019 War is not funny and it's honestly surprising it actually needs to be explained to people. i dont fucking understand how ANYONE can find this funny,, he said it would be "entertaining"??? war is not funny? the entire world has to mourn for the loss of an american life but it's funny when it's for brown people?? what the **** pic.twitter.com/gJ9BMdjTFK — sage ð¦ (@thelastrm) February 28, 2019 Just horrible, man. @Trevornoah Your recent take on India-pakistan was a disaster and you should be ashamed of calling yourself a comedian or a host! the entire world has to mourn for the loss of an american life but it's funny when it's for brown people, right?? https://t.co/ZaoBiyHhX4 — Rahul Kapoor (@rahulcode) March 1, 2019 Obviously not. This is outrageous! War is not a joke @Trevornoah #WTF ! The Indian mumbles are no less racist. You should be ashamed of yourself! You of all people should know better! 5. There's probably not a single person in the country right now who doesn't know the simmering tensions between India and Pakistan, which are at an all-time high right now. The recent turbulence started with the deadly Pulwama terror attack on 14th February and then escalated after India's air strike on a JeM terror camp in Pakistan on 26th February. Amid all this turbulence and rash cries for a possible confrontation, a lot of people from both countries have come together to call for peace and got the hashtag #SayNoToWar trending on Twitter. This hashtag started yesterday, but right now, it's much more important after Pakistan announced that it is releasing captured IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow as a 'gesture of peace'. #SayNoToWar is not cowardice. The father of the nation was opposed to any war and he certainly was no coward. In fact he was one of the bravest that humanity has ever seen. Social media jingoism and mindless warmongering should not be mistaken for bravery!! — Prashant Kishor (@PrashantKishor) February 28, 2019 It's great! 6. After being on board to be a part of the Rakesh Sharma biopic 'Saare Jahaan Se Acha' for the longest time, Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly quit the movie. It's rumoured that King Khan has chosen to continue playing Don in 'Don 3' instead of the biopic, but nothing is apparently confirmed since Aamir Khan also recently said, “Isn't Shah Rukh Khan doing that film? Those are only reports, let's wait until he makes an announcement about it.” View this post on Instagram Hug from the Thug....!! Beat that! A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) on Oct 31, 2018 at 8:35pm PDT So, no one knows what's exactly going on. But, now it seems like Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, and even Kartik Aaryan are in the running for the role, according to Bollywood Life. All three actors have obviously proven themselves as brilliant actors and it's no surprise that they could be replacing someone like Shah Rukh Khan. Moreover, on top of this, the recent success of movies by younger and relatively newer actors in contrast with the failures of all the movies by the 'Khans' last year may indicate that the era of the Khans ruling the box office may be over. And, this could also be the reason why after SRK, actors like Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao will take up the role he was supposed to portray. But, there's also some bad news for Kartik Aaryan; according to a source, as reported by Bollywood Life, “Kartik is not really considered. The character demands a performer who can pull it off very well. Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao both have what it takes to play this character.” Sorry, Kartik. But, whoever ends up doing the movie - Vicky or Rajkummar - we all know it's going to be great.
  7. Bollywood is the place we look for when it comes to new trends. What might seem like a mistake to us lesser mortals, may just be the start of something new when it comes to fashion. A good example: Sidharth Malhotra's mismatched shoes. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Sidharth stepped out wearing a pair of shoes that look like they have been paired mistakenly, at the first glance. Even though they are a pair of white sneakers, one has a shade of red on it, while the other features a grey airbrush pattern. © Viral Bhayani Mismatched shoes are not the norm yet, but we definitely do predict that they might just be a part of the biggest trends of 2019. Street style has been evolving rapidly, and after the rapid popularity of mismatched socks, it's only natural that mismatched shoes should be the next big trend. © Viral Bhayani Coming to the rest of his outfit, we are in love with the dope black 'Criminal Damage' jacket with bold red and white stripes. He paired it with a basic black T-shirt (or is that a tank top?) and a pair of smart blue jeans. A classy combination, we must say. © Viral Bhayani Our favourite thing about the outfit is that despite having eclectic elements, it looks like an extremely cohesive outfit. Those shoes pair perfectly with that jacket, and the mismatched statement is doing wonders for his footwear game. Well done, Sidharth.
  8. Making a difference with content driven cinema in 2017, Rajkummar Rao showed us the powerhouse of talent in him, in films such as 'Trapped', 'Bareilly ki Barfi' and 'Newton'. Not only did he win the National Film Award for Best Actor in 'Shahid' but also won our hearts with diverse roles in his early films like- 'Ragini MMS', 'Kai Po Che!', 'CityLights' and 'Aligarh'. With so many challenging roles in a span of 7 years and being a critic's favorite, Rajkummar Rao has since proved that there is no looking back for him. © UTV Motion Pictures In 2018, Rajkummar Rao has left us confused once again with his upcoming releases - 'Fanney Khan', 'Stree', '5 Weddings' and 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' (ELKDTAL). Let us see why. In his upcoming films, while he can be seen playing characters he has already played earlier, Rajkummar Rao seems to clearly differentiate them from his previous outings. It will be interesting to see how Rajkummar Rao adds his personal touch to each of his forthcoming releases: 1. 'Fanney Khan' - releasing on 3rd August 2018 Going by the trailer of his next project 'Fanney Khan', Rajkummar Rao brings back the vibe of the badass Babua Pritam Vidrohi from his 2017 sleeper hit 'Bareilly ki Barfi'. © Twitter Starring alongside Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao is sure to bring alive the rangbaaz actor in him in this inspiring comedy, which is a remake of the 2000 Belgian film, 'Everybody's Famous'. 2. 'Stree' - releasing on 31st August 2018 His next film with Shraddha Kapoor is a horror movie, which is based on a ridiculously true phenomenon. © Instagram Though his character details are yet to be revealed, going by the teaser, it reminds us of his super-natural indie drama Ragini MMS. With the tagline “Mard Ko Dard Hoga”, hope this one too gives us enough spine-chilling moments. 3. '5 Weddings' - releasing on 21st September 2018 In '5 Weddings', we will see him don the avatar of a police officer opposite Nargis Fakhri. The last time we saw him as a police officer was in 'Talaash' (2012 film) alongside Aamir Khan. © Twitter Given that both the films belong to different genres, his avatar in '5 Weddings' seems to be more relaxed and romantic compared to his intense character in the latter. 4. 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' (ELKDTAL)- releasing on 12th October 2018 Featuring alongside Anil Kapoor once again in 'ELKDTAL' and opposite Sonam Kapoor, the film is a family drama. Just like his previous films - 'Queen' and 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana', the theme of this film is also centered on marriage and romance. © Instagram Hopefully, the film directed by Shelly Chopra and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkummar Hirani, gives him his necessary due as a mainstream commercial actor. P.S. - All of the above films will have a fresh pairing opposite Rajkummar Rao in the lead.
