Sanju Baba has given us films like Yalgaar, Gumrah, Dushman, and many more. He has been the Bollywood heartthrob and people have loved him for the roles he played and the movies he did. But, it’s not always rainbow and sunshine! And Sanju baba has also tasted failure with some of his films. So, here we go- Zila Ghaziabad The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Vivek Oberoi, and many more. The film’s plot revolves around a gang war that takes place in a district of Ghaziabad due to the rise of the rivalry between gangsters Fauji and Satbir. 5. ‘1917’ defeats ‘Star Wars’, marches to box-office victory in North AmericaLos Angeles: Universal's war drama 1917 took command of the North American box office this weekend, riding its Golden Globes success to earn an estimated $36.5 million, industry watcher Exhibitor Relations reported Sunday. The film's unexpectedly strong showing was timely, with Oscar nominations set to be announced on Monday. Last Sunday it won Golden Globes -- often a predictor of Oscar success — for both best drama and best director (Sam Mendes). 1917, filmed as if in one long, continuous shot — one critic called it a "protean display of virtuoso filmmaking" — flourished despite a lack of A-list stars. The central characters, two British lance corporals on a desperate mission, are played by George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman; Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch have minor roles. Disney's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fell to second place after a month in first with a take of $15.1 million. The finale of the nine-film Skywalker Saga has now taken in a global total just shy of $1 billion. In third, down one spot from last weekend, was Sony's action sequel Jumanji: The Next Level, which earned $14 million for third place in the Friday-through-Sunday period. It stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart. Tied for fourth place were Paramount's new release Like a Boss and Warner Bros. drama Just Mercy, each with $10 million. Like a Boss stars Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne and Salma Hayek in the story of two friends whose small beauty company is targeted by an industry titan. Just Mercy, with Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson, is based on the true story of a black man on death row in Alabama who appeals his wrongful conviction for the murder of a white woman. Rounding out the top 10 were: Little Women ($7.7 million) Underwater ($7 million) Frozen II ($5.8 million) Knives Out ($5.7 million) Spies in Disguise ($5.1 million)
  6. LOS ANGELES: Hollywood may be suffering through a spiritless patch but Halloween films can still lend a needed jolt, as Lionsgate´s new Jigsaw horror film and a clutch of other scary films showed by boosting an otherwise flimsy weekend box office. Jigsaw the eighth chapter in Lionsgate´s Saw horror franchise, took in an estimated $16.3 million over the three-day weekend, according to industry website Exhibitor Relations. It beat out the same studio´s "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween," with $10 million. But after that, no film in the top 10 made as much as $6 million, with audiences distracted by baseball´s World Series and the hugely popular Netflix series Stranger Things. Even Jigsaw fell some $4 million below expectations in its opening weekend, Variety.com reported. That movie, the first Saw sequel in seven years, has police investigating a string of horrific murders committed in the style of the supposedly long-dead killer Jigsaw. Made for just $10 million, the film is already in the black. Boo 2 strikes a somewhat lighter tone. The comedy horror sequel has Tyler Perry (who also wrote, directed and produced it) and his gang heading to a haunted campground, where -- no surprise -- monsters lurk. Geostorm, a new release from Warner Bros., took third place, earning $5.7 million. The sci-fi disaster thriller follows Gerard Butler as a satellite designer tasked with saving the world from an apocalyptic storm caused by climate-controlling satellites run amok. Happy Death Day, another comedy horror flick, took in $5.1 million. The Universal film stars Jessica Rothe as a college student who repeatedly relives the day she was murdered until she discovers who killed her. In fifth place was sci-fi reboot Blade Runner: 2049, taking $4 million. The film features Ryan Gosling as a Los Angeles Police Department "blade runner" charged with killing bioengineered androids who are becoming too much like humans. He goes on a search for Harrison Ford´s character -- the original blade runner -- who had disappeared years earlier. With ticket sales in October some 5 percent below the same month last year, Hollywood is eagerly awaiting next week´s domestic premiere of Marvel and Disney´s "Thor: Ragnarok." It took in an impressive $108 million in its international opening. Rounding out the top 10 were: Thank You for Your Service ($3.7 million) Only the Brave ($3.5 million) The Foreigner ($3.2 million) Suburbicon ($2.8 million) It ($2.5 million)
  7. For the third consecutive weekend "The Hitman's Bodyguard" was the top film in North American box offices, but the cinematic scene remained deep in the summer doldrums, website Exhibitor Relations reported Sunday. The US Labor Day weekend was shaping up to be the worst in 17 years, industry watchers said, noting the lack of any major new releases. But Lionsgate's "Hitman" managed to take in an estimated $10.3 million for the Friday-to-Sunday period, the only movie this summer to cling to the top for three straight weeks. The action comedy, starring Ryan Reynolds as a bodyguard protecting a notorious hitman (Samuel L Jackson), outperformed Warner Bros's horror film "Annabelle: Creation" for the second straight week. "Annabelle," part of the popular "Conjuring" franchise of movies, took in $7.3 million, giving it a shot at passing the $100 million mark domestically, website boxofficemojo said. Crime thriller "Wind River" from Weinstein Co came in third, taking in an estimated $5.9 million, up from the previous week's $4.4 million. It stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen as federal agents trying to solve a murder on an Indian reservation. In fourth, also from the Weinstein brothers, was the animated family picture "Leap!" about a young orphan, voiced by Elle Fanning, who dreams of becoming a ballet dancer in 19th century Paris. It netted $4.9 million. Staying steady at fifth was Steven Soderbergh's droll action film "Logan Lucky," which for the second straight week netted $4.4 million. It stars Channing Tatum, Adam Driver and Riley Keough in an unconventional heist comedy set at a NASCAR race in North Carolina. Rounding out the top 10 were: "Dunkirk" ($4.1 million) "Spider-Man: Homecoming" ($3.7 million) "The Emoji Movie" ($2.5 million) "Despicable Me 3" ($2.4 million) "Girls Trip" ($2.3 million)
  8. "Hitman" pulled in an estimated $21.6 million to lead the three-day weekend LOS ANGELES: Two new movies -- "The Hitman´s Bodyguard" and "Logan Lucky" -- soared to the top three in North American theaters this weekend, with "Logan" scoring well with critics, but "Hitman" far luckier in ticket sales. Lionsgate´s "Hitman" pulled in an estimated $21.6 million to lead the three-day weekend, according to industry website Exhibitor Relations. That was considered a respectable take on what has been the lowest-grossing weekend of the year. The film tells the story of a famous bodyguard (Ryan Reynolds) hired to protect a notorious hitman (Samuel L. Jackson) who is about to testify in a high-profile trial. Salma Hayek, as Jackson´s formidable wife, adds to the movie´s star power, but critics gave it an unimpressive 39 percent rating on RottenTomatoes.com. Steven Soderbergh´s "Logan" came in third in its first week out -- after Warner Bros.´s "Annabelle: Creation" -- but with ticket sales of just $8.1 million. Critics, however, loved Soderbergh´s first film since his self-proclaimed retirement four years ago, giving it a 93 percent rating. The Bleecker Street production stars Channing Tatum, Adam Driver and Riley Keough in an unconventional heist comedy, with a sort of dysfunctional "Oceans 11"-style team planning a huge robbery at a NASCAR race. "Logan" came in third in its first week out The relatively low-budget "Annabelle" continued to pull in viewers, slipping slightly from last week´s No. 1 opening to take in $15.5 million. The horror flick, starring Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Miranda Otto and Anthony LaPaglia, is part of the "Conjuring" franchise, which has now grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. Warner Bros.´s war film "Dunkirk" remained a strong performer, placing fourth with sales of $6.7 million. Starring One Direction singer Harry Styles, the movie depicts the heroic 1940 evacuation of hundreds of thousands of Allied troops from northern France. And in fifth place was "Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature" from Open Road Films, with sales of $5.1 million. The animated adventure tells the story of a group of animals trying to save their home from the bulldozer. Overall, it has been a tough season for the studios: summer ticket sales are about 13 percent behind last summer, according to ComScore. Rounding out the top 10 were: "The Emoji Movie" ($4.4 million) "Spider-Man: Homecoming" ($4.3 million) "Girls Trip" ($3.8 million) "The Dark Tower" ($3.7 million) "Wind River" ($3 million)
