But I guess, that is the kind of a bond that siblings usually have, they’re tied to by blood and a bond that is hard to shake off. Even after 74 long years... We are talking about the two brothers who were torn and kept apart from each other for 74 years due to the partition and only recently found their way to each other. ‘Kartarpur - the abode blissful’ has reunited two octogenarian brothers from across the border of Punjab after 74 years. They were separated at the time of Partition. The corridor is indeed a beacon of hope after its opening by Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2019. pic.twitter.com/BMK3Ap334n — Fidato (@tequieremos) January 12, 2022 The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor drowned in teary eyes and in an atmosphere of sentiment after two brothers met for the first time after being separated by the partition back in 1947. Muhammad Siddique held his elder brother Habib in his arms, as tears gushed down both their faces, in a visual that was as emotional as the moment of embrace. The video that was captured is now making rounds on social media and going viral for all the right reasons. The caption of the video of the two brothers from the Kartarpur corridor read, “Kartarpur - the abode blissful has reunited two octogenarian brothers from across the border of Punjab after 74 years. They were separated at the time of Partition. The corridor is indeed a beacon of hope after its opening by Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2019." Religion and pilgrimage aside for a moment… this is a heart-warming story from Kartarpur Sahib The Kartarpur Corridor reunited two nonagenarians friends, Sardar Gopal Singh (94) from India and Muhammad Bashir (91) from Pakistan. They had got separated in 1947. pic.twitter.com/VnKoxhKxLb — Harjinder Singh Kukreja (@SinghLions) November 22, 2021That's too emotional — ........ (@Aelaaa12) January 12, 2022 Through the Kartarpur corridor, Muhammad Siddique, who is now 80-years-old and has been a resident of Bogra on the outskirts of Faisalabad for several years, could finally meet his long lost brother Habib who had been living in Punjab. After a long time, I watched something that really made me a little emotional. Two brothers, one from India's Punjab and the other from Pakistan's Punjab, met in Kartarpur 74 years after they were separated. pic.twitter.com/AIlfPpDEPy — Roohan Ahmed (@Roohan_Ahmed) January 12, 2022 Back in 1947, Siddique’s mother had gone to Pakistan with Habib to meet her parents and after only two days, the partition happened. Siddique kept waiting for his mother and brother but neither of them returned. However, the long wait finally ended as their meeting was arranged by an NGO called "Punjabi Parchar". Several people and torn-apart relatives have been united through this corridor and it is but a heartwarming sight to behold during such bleak times. View the full article

  10. No one can forget the horrific Pulwama attack which took the lives of 40 CRPF personnels in 2019. India lost their bravest soldiers but the families of the martyrs lost their sons, husband and brothers. One such woman whose brother, a CRPF jawan, was martyred in the terrorist attack, recently got married. However, instead of one brother, she got an army of elder brothers at her wedding to walk her down the aisle. © Twitter/CRPF India The colleagues of martyred CRPF soldier Shailendra Pratap Singh showed incredible solidarity as they attended their friend and colleague’s sister’s wedding in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh and performed the brotherly duties. Clad in uniform, they walked her to the mandap, a duty normally entrusted to the bride's elder brother. They also gave the newly wed couple blessings and gifts. © Jagran The heartwarming photos were shared by CRPF India’s official Twitter account, with a caption that read, “Brothers for life: As elder brothers, CRPF personnel attended the wedding ceremony of Ct Shailendra Pratap Singh's sister. Ct Sahilendra Pratap Singh of 110 Bn #CRPF made supreme sacrifice on 05/10/20 while valiantly retaliating terrorist attack in Pulwama.” Brothers for life: As elder brothers, CRPF personnel attended the wedding ceremony of Ct Shailendra Pratap Singh's sister. And, neither is his family that he leaves behind. This perfectly sums up the fact that they are brothers for life and beyond. © Twitter/CRPF India People on social media cannot help but hail the brotherhood. A user wrote, “Great gesture; the Guy must be looking down from heaven, with lots of gratitude. Great way to show solidarity and respect. Big salute !!” Another wrote, “There can't be a beautiful and better picture than this. Lot's of respect.” © Twitter/CRPF India Watch the video here: See how great are India is.....
