Franck Ribery Becomes The Butt Of All Jokes For His Weird 'No 7 Haircut' In Champions League
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsEarlier this February, Bayern Munich did relatively well after travelling to the Anfield and restricting a rampant Liverpool brigade to a goalless draw in the first-leg of the Round of 16 clash in the UEFA Champions League. Given Liverpool's form and might, the 0-0 draw had initially tilted the Round of 16 battle in Bayern's favour ahead of the second-leg tie. But, on 14th March, when the Reds travelled to the home of the German giants, the events that unfolded at the Alliaz Arena, broke all myths that people had from the first-leg. Sadio Mane looked at his destructive best, scoring two key goals for the visitors who secured their berth for the quarterfinals on the back of a 3-1 (on aggregate) win. © Reuters The only silver lining for Niko Kovac's men turned out to be Joel Matip's own goal in 39th minute. But, even that wasn't enough to thwart the efforts of Liverpool to progress further in Europe's top competition. If Bayern's hapless performance on a wet in Munich failed to impress their fans, winger Franck Ribery's decision to sport a weird hairdo in the match, further made the butt of all jokes on the social media. For many 35-year-olds, natural hair is an absolute luxury. While some worry about losing it, others are just lucky enough to still have it. And, when you look at Ribery, you know he belongs to the latter category. But, still, for reasons unknown, the Bayern winger made a complete mess of his natural hair. © Reuters His decision to shave the sides and carve a number '7' at one end made him a laughing stock as soon as he stepped on the pitch to face Liverpool. For someone his age, Ribery looked like a kid whose bid to stand out amongst his mates went horribly wrong. Following Bayern's loss, football fans (mostly Anfield loyalists) targetted the French footballer for his surprising haircut. pic.twitter.com/VjvOGay2Tw — airlangga (@gagahyta) March 14, 2019 Franck Ribery's haircut pic.twitter.com/cw9lbEQQ9j — Cardigan Bravo (@Heisenbert) March 13, 2019 Massive respect for Franck Ribery, who paid tribute to James Milner last night by shaving our midfielder's number into his hair, aged 35 ðð¾ pic.twitter.com/obRrL8zdNq — Empire of the Kop (@empireofthekop) March 14, 2019 Absolute hacking bit of kit, this guy! ð — Chris Toft (@ChrisToft1986) March 14, 2019 Pure eye cabbage right there ð — Trev Schott (@shenobi78) March 14, 2019 ðâï¸ Franck Ribéry will be 36-years-old next month and he's still getting haircuts like my little cousin...#BAYLIV pic.twitter.com/kf3RL9ohSf — The Sportsman (@TheSportsman) March 13, 2019 Franck Ribéry is going to be 36 next month. ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsButt poses are often used as a clickbait to almost any topic related to fitness lately. There are booty shakes and booty shapers being sold on the internet, which unfortunately do sell like hot cakes. Although the shakes and shapers are a scam, building a good butt is not. Your butt or your glute muscles are important and there are benefits associated with having well-developed glutes. Here are the top 4 reasons you should consider training your glutes more often: 1. They Are An Aesthetic Now, I am not talking about the pictures and the poses that some female Instagram models post. That could be an added benefit, yeah. But if your goal is to develop an aesthetic-looking physique, the glutes stand out. They give that look from the side or the back which make you appear more muscular. Having well-developed glutes is also a criterion when it comes to judging bodybuilding and physique shows these days. © Acefitness 2. They Enhance Your Lifts And Performance If your goal is to develop strength and have impressive numbers on your squats and the deadlifts, strong glutes are often the key drivers of force here. Along with that, any sport that requires you to generate a lot of force in a short period of time, will more often than not, require firing from your glutes. What would you like to have at that time? A water pistol or a real gun? You can also see that the world's best sprinters have the best-developed glutes. Take a clue. 3. Reduces Your Risk Of Injuries When you are squatting or deadlifting, a minor mistake could keep you injured and out of the gym for months. Squat injuries are more often caused by knees caving in and your deadlift injuries are usually caused by the rounding of the lower back. Your glutes enable hip abduction and external rotation, which severely reduce the occurrence of a knee valgus or rounding of your lower back. The stronger your glutes are, the more efficient they will be in doing these functions. 4. It Improves Your Posture A lot of people, due to busy lives and being sedentary, suffer from lower back issues. They often have a slouch when sitting and having lower back pain is as common as the common cold due to the same. Developed and strong glutes allow you to maintain a good posture by aligning your lower back. It does not directly translate to better lower back health, as a lot of people suffer lower back health issues, simply from being overweight or doing stupid stuff at the gym. But stronger glutes do correlate to lesser chances of a lower back injury or pain. So yes, if any of the above-mentioned things like better aesthetics, better posture, lesser chances of injury, increased athletic performance, better lower back health or quality of life seem desirable to you, then you should include some direct glute training and develop these muscles. Here's the rock building his behind – View this post on Instagram Fun warmup activating glutes and hips before destroying legs. 5 second hold at the top, squeezed, with resistance bands above the knees using 225lbs. Gotta warm up properly due to all my sexy lower body injuries from years of wrestling and football (two L4 & L5 low back disc ruptures, five knee surgeries, torn Achilles, tore both my quad and adductor from my pelvis and repaired three hernias all in one lovely emergency surgery). Lots of fun pain, but we fight thru it and come back stronger and better. Plus this exercise showcases the relentless power in my thrust game which is my jam when we practice making babies. ððªð¾ð¦ Who wants extra cheese on their pizza? Because I got endless amounts with that last paragraph. Bottom line/ do your warm ups. ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsIn what is turning out to be a scintillating tournament, the ICC Women's World T20 has finally found its semifinalists following some exciting contests in the group stage. While West Indies will be seen locking horns against Australia in the first semifinal, the Indian women's team will take on England in the second. And, the winners from the two crucial games will fight for the coveted trophy in the summit clash on 25th November. Ahead of the first semifinal, the ICC put out a poll on Twitter to ask fans who they thought would contest the all-important World T20 final. The governing body listed out four options: West Indies vs India, West Indies vs England, Australia vs India, Australia vs England. Who do you think will contest the @WorldT20 Final? ð¤ #WT20 — ICC (@ICC) November 18, 2018 While many cricket fans voted for their favourite option, the ones from Pakistan targetted the ICC for leaving out their national team from the Twitter poll. Irked by their team's omission, the Pakistan cricket fans began trolling the ICC and some even expressed their surprise at how the international governing council can leave out the No. 1 ranked side in T20Is. Are you ICC is blind? — TAHIR MARWAT (@marwat33) November 19, 2018 Taking note of the barrage of tweets coming from the Pakistan cricket fans, the ICC clarified their stance with a savage reply - one that they'll not forget for a long time. The absolute state of these mentions! ð Pakistan didn't get out of the #WT20 group stage guys ð — ICC (@ICC) November 19, 2018 The four options listed out by the ICC in its Twitter poll were derived from the semifinalists who had progressed further in tournament. Surprisingly, the Pakistan cricket fans didn't realise that their national team crashed out of the tournament after losing to New Zealand in the group stage. The Pakistan cricket fans also misunderstood their No. 1 T20I ranking which is held by the men's side, and not women's who are currently languishing at the seventh spot. In what eventually turned out to be a forgettable tournament for Pakistan, the women's side had a tough time in their group where they were placed alongside Australia, India, New Zealand and Ireland. The team was completely outplayed by their opponents, winning just one match (against Ireland) and losing three in Group B.
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsGlute training or butt poses have become way too popular due to the female fitness models on Instagram flexing the muscle or selling booty bands or booty building programs. Due to this, there has been unnecessary sexualization of the booty, with men almost skipping booty work in the gym, as they consider it feminine or associate it with female fitness models. If you are one of them, you are horribly wrong. As wrong as you were about BCAAs helping in muscle growth or the anabolic protein window. What are the benefits of stronger glutes for men, you ask? . You Are Stronger & You Look Better Glutes are literally the powerhouse of a muscle in your body. Stronger glutes mean that you can generate more power from your lower body and it builds a good looking butt. Believe it or not, women like men with a strong butt. And another thing, strong glutes are never found on weak men. . They Improve Athletic Performance Glutes provide power for quick and explosive movement. Go check out any Olympic sprinter, you will never find one with weak glutes. If a sprinter has weaker glutes, they won't be competing in the Olympics in the first place. . They Ensure You Do Not Have Lower Back Pain When you are not doing anything at all, the glutes work to keep the lower back area aligned. It does not mean that developed glutes always mean a guaranteed good lower back health. That is not always the case, though it does give a higher chance of better lower back health. So, now that we have established the importance of developing the glutes, let's look at the top exercises that you can include in your gym routine right away: 1. The Barbell Hip Thrust © Stack You can also do this using a Smith machine if you are a total beginner and feel that it is overworking your lower back. Put your feet on the ground and set up the bar at your hips and your upper back is on the bench. Keeping your back straight, drive the bar off the floor with maximal power until you are at a 45-degree angle to the floor. Come down, pause for a bit and repeat. 2. Single-Leg Romanian Deadlifts © Stack Most people in the gym fail to do a Romanian Deadlift with a proper form. To them, this exercise should be done with extra caution or better yet, after learning the normal Romanian Deadlift properly. Hold a barbell in the top deadlift position, so that you are standing up with the bar in your hands. Now, slowly raise one of your legs off the ground in the opposite direction while lowering the bar down. Ensure that you are maintaining a straight flat back while doing so. Lower the bar until you feel a stretch in the hamstring of the leg planted on the foot and then come back to neutral standing position. This is one rep. Caution: Handling a barbell right from the first time you do this, may not be a good option. Start with a dumbbell, progress to an empty bar, and then move to the loaded bar. 3. Kettlebell Swings © HIIT This exercise will help you develop immense power and speed in your hips. Hold the kettlebell in a half squat position almost touching the ground and drive your hip forward swinging the kettlebell. The hip drive should be as explosive as possible and you should feel the movement in your hips. Ensure that the hip hinging is done and you are not taking the movement on your lower back. Start doing these exercises today and develop some mean and badass glutes. Author bio: Pratik Thakkar is the co-founder and director of GetSetGo Fitness, an online fitness company. Bhuvneshwar Kumar Becomes The Butt Of All Jokes After Bowling A 'Huge No-Ball' In The Nets
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsWhile sports fanatics were engrossed with the events unfolding at the FIFA World Cup, the Indian cricket team began their much-anticipated tour of England to a comparatively lesser fanfare. For a team that was touted to get a tough competition in the hostile territory, Team India did relatively well to kick-start their campaign with a 2-1 win in the Twenty20 International (T20I) series. Building on their momentum, Virat Kohli's men continued to get the better of the hosts before taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series. In the second ODI at Lord's, the Englishmen bounced back with a much-improved showing to register a comprehensive 86-run victory and, in turn, leveling the series 1-1. © Twitter With the series evenly poised, both the teams will surely be eager to put their best foot forward, as Leeds plays host to what appears to be a befitting finale. And, ahead of the crucial clash, the visitors got a major boost after Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who missed the last three games for India, was seen sweating it out in the nets. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently shared a video of the Indian seamer bowling in one of their practice sessions. While the sight of Bhuvi bowling in the nets has surely bolstered his side, his rare error - a no-ball - which is clearly visible in the video, made him a subject of immense criticism. Look who's having a go at the nets.#ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/D7LMR2GVVt — BCCI (@BCCI) July 16, 2018 Over-stepping during his delivery stride, Bhuvi attracted all sorts of comments from the Indian fans, who wasted no time in trolling the Indian bowler. You'll know this if you have ever been to nets. — Nandivardhan (@nandivardhan917) July 17, 2018 huge overstepping — Aditya Acharya (@aadiacharya) July 16, 2018 Its a big no ball ðð — ð®ð³ Anuradha ð®ð³ (@AnuRadha9082) July 16, 2018 It's a very huge no ball. So not bhuvi.ð — Manish (@i_manish17) July 17, 2018 Important thing to note is he is overstepping.. That's why our bowlers bowl no balls in match situations. — tarun sharma (@tarun_sharma_82) July 16, 2018 On the other hand, if Bhuvi manages to clear his fitness test ahead of the series decider, it will undoubtedly be a major boost for the Indian bowling department, which was pretty much all over the place in the second ODI against England. Bhuvneshwar's inclusion will not only add teeth to the Indian bowling unit but could also restrict England from getting off to a flyer early on.
