  1. Following a remarkable comeback to the tournament last season, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have continued their fine run in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The MS Dhoni-led brigade have won seven out of the eight games they've played so far to go four points clear at the top in the points table. While the Chennai outfit has derived favourable results owing to a collective team effort, Dhoni's success as the one true leader continues to capture the imagination of cricket fans. Arguably one of the most admired and respected cricketers in the world, Dhoni seems to have passed on his leadership skills to daughter Ziva. For a four-year-old, Ziva has already tasted stardom owing to her cute videos that continue to throng social media. But, more recently, her understanding of the fast-paced world around her has left everyone in awe. When you receive your award once again and get to learn how to wear the cap yellovingly! #WhistlePodu #Yellove #KKRvCSK ð¦ð @ImranTahirSA @DJBravo47 pic.twitter.com/nquXsFTiR8 — Chennai Super Kings (@ChennaiIPL) April 14, 2019 In her latest video, Ziva was seen imparting lessons to none other than Chennai's star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on the correct way to wear a CSK cap. The youngster was seen correcting Bravo after he was seen wearing the CSK cap backwards - something that had earlier instigated Sunil Gavaskar to slam the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Dinesh Karthik for disrespecting the national cap. After recording their first win at the Eden Gardens since 2013, Dhoni-led Chennai will be eager to continue their fine form when they visit the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 17th April.
  2. The Captain America-Iron Man reunion was one of the biggest things every Marvel fan was waiting for in 'Avengers: Infinity War' but as we know, it never happened. Then, this particular meeting became the main focus of one of the 'special videos' from 'Avengers: Endgame' and everyone is still very emotional about it. This is all because of the events of 'Captain America: Civil War', of course. They both love each other but a disagreement over the Sokovia accords and obviously a brainwashed Bucky killing Tony's parents years ago tore them apart. In that last fight scene from the movie, the last time they both actually saw each other, Tony basically took away Cap's shield because “he didn't deserve it”. Well, even after so many years and Cap even calling Tony earth's best defender, Tony is not yet ready to give back the shield. The entire cast is doing the press tour for 'Endgame' right now and it's hilarious because it's just all of them having fun together, probably for the last time. RDJ has been very active on Instagram, sharing videos with all his Marvel BFFs and it's so pure. But, since it's RDJ and he has the best bromance with Chris Evans, he of course had to throw some shade. View this post on Instagram #flashback #day1 @avengers #press #tour #2019 Sorry Cap! Not today... #hair @davynewkirk #style @jeanneyangstyle (ð¥ @jimmy_rich ) #TeamStark #sameasiteverwas A post shared by Robert Downey Jr. (@robertdowneyjr) on Apr 9, 2019 at 8:32pm PDT Sorry, Cap. But, let's not forget that even Chris threw some shade at RDJ about this shield debate a few weeks ago. When RDJ tweeted this- BFFs let you share their umbrellas, right @ChrisEvans ? pic.twitter.com/1nJoJrFkZr — Robert Downey Jr (@RobertDowneyJr) March 13, 2019 The best Chris had the best reply. Technically it's YOUR umbrella. But I'm happy to hold it. https://t.co/tFqWFqCSv3 — Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) March 13, 2019 The shade! Yaas Cap! Well, this banter is great and all but I seriously can't wait for this.
  3. Chris Evans and his facial hair is a conversation that will never die down, be it his 'Infinity War' beard or his pornstache. Well, actually the pornstache is even hated by Chris Evans now, and talking about it and looking at those pictures is an act of aggression for him. This is clearly an act of aggression. There are literally hundreds of photos to choose from. What did I ever do to you, Canada? https://t.co/3sAEARiTq4 — Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) February 12, 2019 There was even a 'stache battle recently, started by none other than Robert Downey Jr. This is clearly an act of aggression. There are literally hundreds of photos to choose from. What did I ever do to you, Canada? https://t.co/3sAEARiTq4 — Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) February 12, 2019 But, now the focus is back of the beard. Recently, the debate of Cap's beard was brought up again at a press conference in Los Angeles and was followed by a vote. Since the cast can't spill anything about the movie, obviously, they're sticking to something much more important. The entire cast was asked to vote for bearded Cap or clean shaven Cap, and well, we all know who will win this. The Avengers actors were asked to raise their hands if they preferred Bearded or Not Bearded Chris Evans pic.twitter.com/9O8BJq9fZj — Kyle Buchanan (@kylebuchanan) April 7, 2019 Everyone prefers bearded Cap, except for Danai Gurira, Karen Gillan, and Kevin Feige. Paul Rudd prefers both, because he's the most lovable person and can never hate on something. Also, I will forever be mad at RDJ for not answering, this is not done. What happened to your bromance now? I kind of feel bad for the second best Chris because Cap basically copied his beard and now Cap's beard is the hottest topic of discussion. Well, RDJ is just playing games now. Asked who prefers bearded Cap vs. clean-shaven Cap, everyone but Danai, Karen, and Feige prefers bearded Cap. Rudd likes both. RDJ prefers Cap with a prosthetic over his beard for the post-credits schwarma joke at the end of the first Avengers film. #AvengersEndgame — Adam B. Can anyone tell me which one Evans put his hand up for? https://t.co/nbiuioH7h9 — Chandra Rooney (@sakuralovestea) April 7, 2019 The beard! There's one correct answer to this and one answer ONLY. https://t.co/cxvFruCGZ8 — Jenn ð¸ (@jennaywins) April 7, 2019 Same. Paul Rudd represents me pic.twitter.com/4cu56OhKsU — Laru [-17 endgame] (@hiddlesxlarson) April 7, 2019 True. How does he do it? Y'all doing this wrong. The hottest part of Cap are his guns. I'm Scarlett being the first one to raise her hand when asked who prefers bearded Cap/Chris. https://t.co/SmGOaav7vX — Ivey (@iveyleann) April 7, 2019 It might be if RDJ prefers clean shaven Cap. omg they were asked if they liked better bearded cap or clean shaven cap is this civil war 2.0 pic.twitter.com/0UNVCNo5nk — â¡princess isaâ¡ (@shawnyhoney) April 7, 2019 Exactly what we need before we die because of 'Endgame'. ðð»‍âï¸ðð»‍âï¸ðð»‍âï¸ I am here for all of the upcoming avengers press circuit coverage https://t.co/MV9S6Y3GnG — Anna Wisniowski (@annawisniowski) April 7, 2019
  4. This year's Indian Premier League (IPL) has not been short of breathtaking moments. It's still early days in the tournament but we are already witnessing a totally different side of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) allrounder, Andre Russell. Coming in at crucial points and taking the game away has been a trademark for the Carribean giant. He has played three matches till now and in each game has crossed the mark of 40 runs with a strike rate over 200. View this post on Instagram Describe this knock in 1 emoji ð . . . #KKRHaiTaiyaar #DCvKKR #VIVOIPL #Cricket #IPL #IndianPremierLeague #Delhi #Sports #KorboLorboJeetbo #IPL2019 #KKR #KolkataKnightRiders #AndreRussell @ar12russell A post shared by Kolkata Knight Riders (@kkriders) on Mar 30, 2019 at 9:27am PDT In the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday, Russell, once again saved his team from falling in the trap of the Delhi bowlers. Coming in at 61 for 5, he found a suitable partner in skipper Dinesh Karthik to take the team to a par total of 185 in their share of 20 overs, out of which, he scored 62 in mere 28 balls with six sixes and four fours. Along with his exploits with the bat, the West Indian made sure that he contributed with the ball also (1 wicket). Despite all the hard-work though, KKR ended up on the losing side as they fell short in the super over by three runs. Looking forward to continuing his blistering performances for KKR, Russell sits on the third spot in the race of the orange cap, following David Warner and Johnny Bairstow of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
  5. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have continued with their poor form from last year's Indian Premier League(IPL) in this season also. Dependent on a handful of key players, it will be really difficult for RCB to win big in this highly competitive league. Yuzvendra Chahal came out to be the star performer for RCB last night despite their controversial loss to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 7th match of this year's IPL. The lethal looking MI was brought to hold by a brilliant bowling performance by Chahal in the middle overs. Regardless of being hit for three sixes in a row by the mighty Yuvraj Singh, he kept his calm managed to take his wicket on the fourth ball. View this post on Instagram 4⣠wickets ð¥ But like he's telling @parthiv9, that's everyday stuff for @royalchallengersbangalore's top wicket taker - @yuzi_chahal23 ð A post shared by IPL (@iplt20) on Mar 28, 2019 at 9:00am PDT While all other RCB bowlers were having a tough time, Yuzi came on top taking 4 wickets for just 38 runs, making him the most effective bowler for his side. Another hallmark Chahal achieved was the 'Purple Cap,' as he dethroned Imran Tahir by taking a total of 5 wickets in both the matches. With RCB and Chahal finding momentum, it will be interesting to see how they move ahead in the tournament.
  6. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made a solid entry in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL). Winning their opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), they again went victorious on Wednesday against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), but this time at home. The only thing common in both the matches other than winning is, Nitish Rana, the star performer of KKR who played some stunning strokes and went on to score 50+ runs in both the games. Rana was called on the pitch after the early departure of Chris Lynn on 10 runs. But once he arrived, he made sure that he sticks around for long and eventually played a crucial knock of 63 to help his team reach a mammoth total of 218 in their share of 20 overs. His thrilling 68 against SRH and now another 63 against KXIP takes him to the top of the leading scorers in the league, earning the 'Orange Cap' with 131 runs in the bag. View this post on Instagram What a (k)night, what a moment ðð» #KKRHaiTaiyaar A post shared by nitishrana_official (@nitishrana_official) on Mar 28, 2019 at 12:38am PDT The Mumbai lad looked in prime form even in the Domestic Cup and has made sure that he continues his form in the IPL also. Talking of KKR, having their middle order stabled by classic batsmen like Rana and Robbin Uthappa, and later having a power-hitter like Andre Russell in the team, makes them the favourites of the IPL in the early stages.
  7. The casual fans of the Indian Premier League (IPL) may not be aware of the name, 'Nitish Rana' who enjoyed a supreme 68-run innings in Kolkata Knight Riders' season opening game against Bhuvneshwar Kumar's SunRisers Hyderabad on Sunday. However, the left-handed batsman has made quite a name for himself in the first-class cricket circuit and has come to be known as more of a game-winning player for his side much like the former skipper of the Indian cricket team in Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rana, who hit eight boundaries and three maximums in a heroic run-chase by his KKR last evening, is a Delhi born athlete who made his first-class cricket debut during the 2015-16 season of the Ranji Trophy and ended up being the lead-scorer of the team (557). He also scored a total of 218 runs during the 2015-16 season of Vijay Hazare Trophy and was the second highest run-getter for Delhi. The 2015–16 season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has to be the highlight of the cricketer's career (until yesterday) during which he helped a struggling Delhi survive through tough games against Andhra, Baroda and Jharkhand whilst scoring a total of 299 runs in 8 innings at a staggering strike rate of 175.88. With an aggressive batting style and the ability to fill in the bowling lineup as a part-time off-spinner, Rana eventually made it to the roster of Team India A for the 2018-19 Deodar Trophy and the squad for last year's ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. On Sunday, Rana contributed immensely towards Kolkata's successful 183-run chase while forming a decent partnership with Robin Uthappa (35) only for Andre Russell and Shubman Gill to seal the deal and bring a great start to his side. For his efforts, his fans took to Twitter to praise the 25-year-old: Nitish Rana showing positive character, prevailing his fantastic form , how prudently he hit reverse sweep to Rashid Khan.#KKRvSRH #KKRHaiTaiyaar — amey guthe (@amey_guthe) March 24, 2019 Russell you beauty ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥ Nitish Rana ð¥ð¥ð¥ Subhman Gill ð¥ð¥ð¥ — A Quantum Dot (@aQuantumDot) March 24, 2019 Nitish Rana's cut shot is a thing of beauty.#KKRvSRH — Naresh Singaravelu (@NareshVelu) March 24, 2019 Nitish Rana On ð¥ Great batting.#IPL2019 #KKRvSRH — Prince ð®ð³á´°áµË¡Ê°á¶¦ á¶áµáµá¶¦áµáµË¡Ë¢ (@iPrince55) March 24, 2019 Nitish Rana >>> Rinku Singh End of debate.#KKRvSRH — Akshay Sharma (@akshaypasu) March 24, 2019
  8. As one of the five key players for SunRisers Hyderabad, David Warner has a crucial role to play in the twelfth season of the Indian Premier League and surely the Australian realises his role. Add to that the need for Warner to work towards getting rid of the scar on his identity due to the infamous ball-tampering case in South Africa last year and make the cricketing fans of the world realise his worth and how talented a batsman he is. What a comeback @davidwarner31 ðð#VIVOIPL #KKRvSRH pic.twitter.com/hPQ1I5QX3f — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) March 24, 2019 Warner has, time and again, poured his heart out to the public and spoken about how important are his integrity and respect in the eyes of his fans. For him, it maybe even bigger than the winning the IPL trophy for his franchise for the second time. After being found guilty of ball-tampering charges in March last year, Warner had decided to step down from his role as the captain of SunRisers only to get banned by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) from playing the IPL altogether. This, however, cannot and did not take away any credibility from the fact that Warner has been one of the most dominating batsmen in the history of the IPL and has the silverware to prove it. Before the 2019 season began and despite missing an entire season of play, the Aussie batsmen held the record for scoring the most runs by an overseas player (4,014), most half-centuries (35) and the highest individual score by a captain (126) in the league. What a comeback @davidwarner31 ðð#VIVOIPL #KKRvSRH pic.twitter.com/hPQ1I5QX3f — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) March 24, 2019 Most importantly, Warner has been the leading run scorer of the IPL for two entire seasons and won the well-celebrated orange cap in 2015 and 2017, both of which were while he played for his current team, SunRisers Hyderabad. It looks like Warner has no intentions of getting rid of the cap anytime soon as he went off in Hyderabad's season opener, scoring 85 runs off just 53 balls which included nine 4s and three huge 6s in a loss to Dinesh Karthik's Kolkata Knight Riders. If Warner continues with his ferocious batting form, the day is not far when he will once again be known for his shots going out of the park and not for the incident that got him disgrace a year ago.
