  3. For all the times that you have found yourself staring across the room into the eyes of a woman and felt your heartbeat skip at the sight of her, only to say, “Bhai, dekh teri bhabhi” to your best friend at the end of a party. This article is for all you guys who wear their hearts on their sleeve and usually, end up getting them broken. via GIPHY These are the people who fall in love faster than one can make Maggi. But in their defence, we can't really blame them for being romantics in a cynical world. After all, who would want to miss out on the exciting and thrilling feeling of love that is said to sweep you off your feet and make the world look more colourful? Right? Which is why, when they see even the slightest chance of things working out with someone, they jump at the chance. © iStock The only drawback to this being that while we are too busy doling out our heart to every girl we start crushing over, we forget the possibility that she might not feel the same way after all. And just like that, we are hurt again. It is precisely to avoid the hurt and pain of falling for someone too fast that we must keep in mind a few things that might help us to hold our horses: 1) Take It Slow (Deliberately) © Yash Raj Films Since you’re aware that you tend to rush into things as much as feelings, it would be a good idea for you to consciously start making efforts on taking things slow. To be able to decrease the intensity of your feelings for the other person, you must decrease the frequency of contact between you and her. It not only helps in holding your ground but also allows you less opportunity to jump the gun. 2) Maintain A Balance via GIPHY This would mean for you to not spend every minute of your every hour of every day either talking to or thinking about your crush. Everything is good, as long as it is done in moderation, and so, when you feel you’ve started to develop feelings for someone, balance it out by continuing to meet other people, hanging out with your friends just like you normally would. Don’t let your life and thoughts revolve around them. 3) Don’t Lose Sight Of Other Important Things © Excel Entertainment One more reason why some people may fall for others harder than anyone else is that they often tend to lose sight of other things in their life and end up making their crush - their entire world. It is important for you to remind yourself that while love may be an important aspect of your life, it is only one of the many others. Don’t lose focus on your job and your career and spend enough time paying attention to what truly matters. 4) Humanise Your Crush via GIPHY When we’re in love, it is very easy to get blinded to some of their obvious flaws. Try to make an effort to humanise them and not glorify them. The moment you start seeing them for who they are - human and for their bad as much as their good, you will be able to cut back on your feelings for them. 5) Don’t Forget Your Worth © Panorama Studios Whether you fall in love with someone for the first or the fiftieth time, don’t ever forget what you’re worth. One reason we may fall for everyone is that we don’t hold ourselves to the highest standard and start to think that just about anyone who walks through the door is good enough for us. You’re worth more than that, and you mustn’t forget that. View the full article

  5. Zander Venezia WASHINGTON: A promising young professional surfer has died at the age of 16 while catching a wave in Barbados during Hurricane Irma, the World Surf League said. Zander Venezia, a native of Barbados, reportedly fell off his board and hit a shallow reef at a beach called Box by Box, it said. He and other surfers were riding a swell generated by the Category Five hurricane. Speaking to the magazine Surfline, fellow surfer named Alan Burke said: "Zander was bleeding, and he wasn´t moving. They tried to get him to the beach quickly, which was very difficult. "Box by Box is a tough place to get in and out of, even if you have the ability." The son of a surfer, Venezia won the Rip Curl Grom Search in the Outer Banks in North Carolina in mid-August, and in April he won the National Scholastic Surfing Association regional championships. The Barbados newspaper Nation News called Venezia one of the island´s most promising junior surfers.
  6. SAN FRANCISCO: A ´phishing´ scam that tricked people with what appeared to be Google Docs links was doused by the internet giant after spreading wildly. The purpose of the scam, and the culprits behind it, remained unknown late in the day. "We have taken action to protect users against an email impersonating Google Docs, and have disabled offending accounts," a Google spokesperson said in an email response to an AFP inquiry. "We´ve removed the fake pages, pushed updates through Safe Browsing, and our abuse team is working to prevent this kind of spoofing from happening again." The scam combined "a phishing attack and a worm," using a deceptive email to get people to open the door to malicious code that wriggled into their messaging programs to spread itself to others, according to Electronic Frontier Foundation staff technologist Cooper Quintin. Email sent from a known contact´s real address would arrive containing a link it claimed led to a file to be shared at Google Docs online service, according to a rundown of the chicanery. Read more: WhatsApp back online after global outage of ´a few hours´ Clicking the link led to a real Google web address and asked for authorization to run an application the attacker had cleverly called ´Google Docs.´ Permissions granted to the application included allowing it to read or send email on a person´s behalf. "It doesn´t immediately look like a phishing email," Quintin said. "When you authorise the app, the very next thing it does is send the same emails to everyone in your contacts." The application, along with online domains it was connecting to, were disabled within hours of it starting to spread wildly, according to Quintin. "I suspect that it was far more successful than whoever released it into the world hoped or expected, and was maybe undone by its own success," he said. "The domains went down pretty quickly. Google disabled the app, so it is no longer a threat." The campaign affected fewer than a tenth of a percent of Gmail users and was stopped within an hour, according to the California-based internet powerhouse. Gmail is reported to have more than a billion users. Google determined that while contact information was accessed, no other data was gleaned by the ruse, according to the spokesperson.
  7. The Internet is an archive of so many things, some stupid, some pretty good stuff. You can use the powerful tool to spread awareness or spread mere stupidity. With this world being stripped off brains everyday, here is one more ‘challenge’ that the millennial world is “actually loving”. It’s called the ‘Butt Flip’ challenge. The women flip a cup with the power of twerking their butts. If you thought that only a Kim K or a Nicki Minaj could move their derriere like some magic weapon, then you are wrong. Many people have jumped on the bandwagon and Instagram is a ground for all the proof.   8. We all know how the Galaxy Note 7 performed when it came to bursting into flames. However, a recent video shared by Brianna Olivas on Twitter shows a smoking iPhone 7. The video shows the device burning at such high temperatures that you can see the case melting away. You can also see smoke from the sides of the phone, which confirms a fire in the innards of the device. Apple responded to the video in a very brief statement to Mashable and a spokesperson said that the company is looking into the matter and is in touch with Olivas. “We are in touch with the customer and looking into it,” an Apple spokesperson said. Olivas says that her iPhone 7 Plus started acting up a day before the actual incident. She took the phone to her local Apple store when the phone refused to switch on. Apple representatives said that everything was in working order at the time after running a few tests. The device started working again after running the tests however, Olivas faced even more issues the next morning. Olivas said that she left her phone charging while asleep and when her boyfriend picked up the phone he noticed the smoke. “The next morning I was asleep with my phone charging next to my head, my boyfriend grabbed the phone and put it on the dresser. He went to the restroom and from the corner of his eye, he saw my phone steaming and heard a squealing noise. By the time he got over to the phone it had already caught fire, he quickly grabbed the phone and threw it in the restroom. As soon as he threw it in the restroom is blew up and more smoke started coming out of the phone.” It is not the first time an iPhone has caught fire due to overheating where in the past it was caused due to the phone being under a pillow or in a pocket. However, Oliva’s case is very strong thanks to the video that was posted and some users on Twitter have blamed Olivas’s ‘liquid case’ for the cause of the fire. Nevertheless, one should not jump to conclusions that every iPhone 7 Plus device is going to face a similar problem as this is a one-off incident. Since the Note 7 fiasco, there has been a cautious focus on smartphones that are prone to catching fire, however, this incident does not come close to anything of that magnitude. Check out the video below which shows the iPhone 7 Plus emitting smoke from its sides before it caught fire. So my IPhone 7 plus blew up this morning ? was not even using it, literally no explanation for this pic.twitter.com/sQ8CJt4Y69 — Bree✨ (@briannaolivas_) February 23, 2017 @briannaolivas_ pic.twitter.com/MLllo8DvSa — Bree✨ (@briannaolivas_) February 23, 2017 p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica} p.p2 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica; min-height: 13.0px} span.s1 {font: 11.0px 'Apple Color Emoji'}
