  1. Father! What's the first thing that comes rushing to your mind when you hear this word? For some, it is their first bike ride, for some it could be the first bicycle and for few it could be even 'papa ki daant' if anything goes wrong! Whatever it might be, the fact remains that fathers are special. In a world where fatherhood has become an increasingly important and sensitive moment in most men’s lives, let’s see what some of our favourite celebrities have to say about their relationship with their fathers: 1. Farhan Akhtar View this post on Instagram “When you really love and respect a human being then it is very difficult to point out one best memory. I feel fortunate that he is my father. I have learned a lot from him about life, work, relationships, culture, etiquettes and languages. I will keep learning from him, so I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be my father.” 2. Aparshakti Khurana View this post on Instagram “My father means everything to me and especially all my work ethics come from him. All the discipline which Ayushmann and I are trying to follow at work comes from him. He is a workaholic. We have never seen him taking off from work. I think that is what keeps us going as well. I think he is busier than me (laughs) and I think that is what brings out the best in us.” 3. Ali Fazal View this post on Instagram “My father always had a habit of making sure everyone got cards even if it wasn't a festival or an occasion that called for it. I learned the art of writing post cards and letters from him. I've barely spent time with my father in the years ive lived. So i cherish the few where he tried his best to teach me things - the short versions compressed in school holidays when I'd visit him. I'll never forget the effect that a personalized card has. You can’t achieve that with emails and fonts on the web.” 4. Shahid Kapoor View this post on Instagram “Initially, he was strict, but that was 15 years ago. He is a strong-minded person, which I admire a lot. Over the years, we have come to understand one another a lot more. Emotionally, we have become very close and when you become emotionally intimate with someone, you can’t be scared of them. The fear is of only hurting them.” 5. Arjun KapoorTo the coolest Kapoor in our family. The original big daddy. I love movies because I saw them thru his eyes... A family man, a true friend & a complete man’s man.. someone who puts others above himself always.. Happy Father’s Day dad.. stay happy, hip & cool !!! pic.twitter.com/mlodbfCJJk — arjunk26 (@arjunk26) June 16, 2019 “To the coolest Kapoor in our family. The original big daddy. I love movies because I saw them thru his eyes... A family man, a true friend & a complete man’s man.. Someone who puts others above himself always.. Happy Father’s Day dad.. stay happy, hip & cool !!!” 6. Sidharth Malhotra View this post on Instagram "Like every typical Punjabi family, my dad and I have always bonded most over food and music. He is a staunch supporter of my work and is my greatest role model. While he has always let me make my own decisions, he has also given me constructive feedback and suggestions. My dad is someone who always motivates me to become a better person in life. Here is wishing him a very happy Father's Day". 7. Hrithik Roshan View this post on Instagram “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn’t miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. .Love you Dad.” We’re glad that these Bollywood celebs have such rich memories with their fathers. Goes to show their importance in our lives! View the full article
  2. Just like his name, actor Kamal R Khan is actually ‘kamaal'. Popularly known as KRK in B-town, the actor has mostly been in the news for his movie reviews and his tweets which are mostly his personal opinions about other people, which don’t go down too well with the public and the celebrities being targeted. Here are 5 controversies that involved KRK and got everyone becoming mute spectators to this ping-pong of war of words: 1. Ajay DevgnWhen Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil were releasing around the same time, Ajay Devgn tweeted an explosive tweet about how KRK was badmouthing his movie and how he ‘claimed’ that he was paid money by KJO to diss this movie over ADHM. Hear what self proclaimed no. 1 critic and trade analyst Kamaal R Khan has to say. https://t.co/wRc7moSlsZ — Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) September 1, 2016 The war got ugly after Kajol boycotted her best friend and the industry took sides between Ajay and KJO. 2. Karan JoharThe producer/director got swamped in the storm between Ajay and KRK’s Twitter war and had his own bitter experience amongst all this. He published various clarifications and even gave interviews explaining how this whole thing was disrespectful for him. Amidst all this, KRK turned the tables and blamed Kumar Mangat for being a bad friend and in fact even tweeted that it was him and Ajay who offered him money to diss karan’s movie instead! Talk about twists in the tale. Kumar+Ajay offered me money to bash #AeDilHaiMushkil as he is offering in the tape also but I refused. I told them that I will do it free. — KRK (@kamaalrkhan) September 1, 2016 3. Vikram BhattWhen KRK decided to review Bhatt’s 1920: London, he completely went overboard and ended up making some distasteful comments about the director. Vikram Bhatt was quick to file a defamation case and the actor eventually apparently apologised. Vikram Bhatt later cleared the air and the matter was buried. @kamaalrkhan it takes a lot of courage to correct your ways and accept it on a public platform. I admire you for it. — Vikram Bhatt (@TheVikramBhatt) July 2, 2016 4. Anurag KashyapThe tug of war with Bollywood’s ace director goes back to the year 2015 when KRK first tweeted and claimed that he was being offered money by KJO to review Bombay Velvet. Anurag was quick to respond that no such thing happened and brushed it off. Last year, KRK’s entertainment website goofed up Anurag’s name with someone else and actually pronounced him dead! Anurag was yet again quick to throw a comeback with an epic and witty reply. His fans called out KRK on Twitter. Oh! So now Karan Johar sir is offering me 25lakh Rs for good review of #BombayVelvet pic.twitter.com/aZgImC6Pq5 — KRK (@kamaalrkhan) April 25, 2015For the record I have nothing to do with Mr KRK stopping to review films, I think he is shit scared that he will have to eat his words ...1 — Anurag Kashyap (@anuragkashyap72) April 25, 2015We are very sorry that one of our staff misunderstood the name of #AnuragKapoor with #AnuragKashyap and published a wrong news about Anurag Kashyap Ji. https://t.co/fHuZN6YQ5n — Anurag Kashyap (@anuragkashyap72) September 14, 20205. Kapil SharmaBack in 2014, when comedian Kapil Sharma was still carving his niche and being noticed by everyone, KRK tweeted a joke about Nargis Fakhri being approached to star opposite Kapil in his debut movie with YRF. In response to his so-called ‘joke’, Kapil Sharma lashed out telling KRK to “@kamaalrkhan call me… If u have guts… I will show u… How to deal with a punjabi guy.” KRK is currently swimming in murky waters with Salman Khan who has filed a defamation case against him for his review on Radhe and even got in a war of words with singer Mika, who is allegedly ready with a new diss track also. 3. Arjun Kapoor had earlier expressed that he would invest his life’s savings into the online fundraising platform Fankind. He also reacted to the criticism celebrities these days face for their humanitarian ventures. Celebrities often receive a lot of flak for publicizing their charity work and even if they don’t announce it they are trolled for not doing their bit amid a crisis. So, either way, Bollywood celebrities are in trouble. View this post on Instagram Talking about the same to HT, Arjun Kapoor said, “At the end of the day, people have a right to their opinion. Everybody has an opinion about everything. Opinions today are very easy to float because you have a computer or a keyboard in front of you and you can type what you feel. Half the time, people don’t even know what they are typing and they don’t mean what they say. You can’t get upset and react to everything, and I also don’t owe anyone an explanation.” He further said, “If today, I don’t do something, I don’t owe you an explanation. If I do something, I don’t owe you an explanation. If I do something behind the scenes, I don’t need to come out and tell you what I am doing, and if I am doing something and I want to tell you, that is my business, that I want people to know that I am doing something good. Each celebrity, each individual is unique in what they are experiencing and feeling. You are allowed to take care of yourself before you take care of others. You are allowed to take care of everybody and not bother about yourself. It is very individual.” Arjun also expressed how people expect celebrities to act like superheroes and completely forget that they are also human. He said, “Celebrities get bunched up and clubbed into this jhund (flock) of people who are supposed to come together and help the world exactly like superheroes, and then they are supposed to be accountable at all times. They have to also take care of themselves. Some people like to take a backseat, some like to step in the foreground because they have the capability. It’s a human thing, it’s not a celebrity thing. Not every human being you know is going out there and doing everything, right? Some are, some are not in a position to, and celebrities are no different. We are humans. I don’t have a take on it beyond this.” View this post on Instagram “I just feel like there is a lot of noise that comes with the territory. You have to just do what you feel and it is absolutely okay. I say this to anybody watching if they worry or wonder about perception -- ‘Am I doing enough?’ -- it’s okay. Please do not feel pressured. Take care of yourself, take care of people around you. And even if you are doing things, you don’t have to put it out there. And if you are putting it out there, there is nothing wrong with that either, because you are motivating and encouraging people. There is no right or wrong in this, it is very personal and subjective. People have to get rid of their opinions and at least respect some dignity and some privacy about these things. Everybody should be allowed to do what they feel right, whether doing extra and flaunting it at that point so that people get influenced or somebody saying, ‘I don’t like to talk about it or flaunt it.’ Both sides are right and we must learn to be respectful of it,” he added. View this post on Instagram Recently, Arjun Kapoor’s film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was released on OTT, and he was praised for his performance in the film. What do you think? 4. Thanks to social media platforms, celebrities have a space where they can share their opinions with people and connect with them without any barriers. At times, intentionally or unintentionally, celebs do end up offending people with problematic comments. For celebrities in a powerful position who have thousands of followers, people expect them to carry themselves a bit more responsibly. There have been multiple instances when celebs have been targeted for their inappropriate remarks and here’s a list of five such celebs who have been bashed by the public for their casteist or sexist remarks. 1. Randeep Hooda View this post on InstagramRandeep Hooda landed in troubled waters after an old video surfaced wherein he is seen cracking a problematic, sexist joke on politician Mayawati, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. A Twitter user shared the video and tweeted, “If this does not explain how casteist and sexist this society is, especially towards Dalit women, I don’t know what will. the ‘joke’, the audacity, the crowd. Randeep Hooda, a top Bollywood actor talking about a dalit woman, who has been the voice of the oppressed (sic).” if this does not explain how casteist and sexist this society is, especially towards dalit women, i don’t know what will. the “joke”, the audacity, the crowd. randeep hooda, top bollywood actor talking about a dalit woman, who has been the voice of the oppressed. pic.twitter.com/lVxTJKnj53 — Agatha Srishtie please DM with SOS tweets (@SrishtyRanjan) May 25, 2021 Since the video went viral, people on social media have been demanding an apology and have also been trending ‘Arrest Randeep Hooda’. The actor has also been removed as the ambassador of the Convention for the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS), United Nation's environmental treaty, following the controversy. 2. Yuvika Chaudhary View this post on InstagramFormer Bigg Boss contestant Yuvika Chaudhary found herself in major trouble for using a casteist slur. In a vlog posted by her, she used a certain word to describe how she looked. After the video went viral, people started to demand her arrest since they were offended by her inappropriate remark. Now she'll say she didn't know the meaning. Alright. This is how our industry is! Not shocked but disappointed. She is literate but as illiterate #ArrestYuvikaChoudhary #Casteist_Termite #munmunduttavideo @yuvikachoudhary pic.twitter.com/4S7JDlTJjK — Nivedita Bansal (@Nivbansal2403) May 25, 2021 She apologized for her mistake and said that she didn’t have such intentions but people kept dragging her. She shared one more video wherein she said, “I understood my fault, said sorry and learnt my lesson. But now what? People keep on dragging this rather than talking about other topics. We have so many bigger topics to talk about — from women’s safety to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. We’re losing our loved ones, and people are talking about, ‘Arrey usne yeh kar dia’. I feel really bad. The response that I’m getting for my mistake is actually sad. With the way the thing is trending, I’m thinking people have so much time to discuss this, leaving the bigger issues aside, despite me saying sorry for it. Agar mudda banana hai toh bade issue ka banao. If I made a mistake, bol do ke aapko knowledge nahi hai ya correct me.” She clarified, “I didn’t know the meaning of the word I used. Why would I hurt someone? I got to know about it after people started trolling me. I’m really sorry. I never intended to hurt anyone.” 3. Munmun Dutta View this post on InstagramTaarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma actor Munmun Dutta also said she didn't want to look like a particular community member. After facing the backlash, she immediately apologized but people weren’t convinced with her apology. In her apology, Munmun Dutta wrote, "This is about a video that I posted yesterday wherein one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of insult, intimidate, humiliate or hurt anyone's feelings. Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of its meaning, I immediately took the part down. I have the utmost respect for every single person from every caste, creed, or gender and acknowledge their immense contribution to our society or nation. I sincerely would like to apologize to every single person who has been unintentionally hurt by the usage of the word and I sincerely regret the same." View this post on Instagram4. Kapil Sharma View this post on Instagram Kapil Sharma was mired in controversy when he cracked a joke that mentioned the name of a religious deity of the Kayastha community. This didn’t go down too well with the people of the community who demanded his apology. He took to Twitter to convey his apology and wrote, “Dear Kayastha community, I heard about The Kapil Sharma Show episode telecast on 28 March 2020. If the mention of Shri Chitragupta Ji has hurt your sentiments, then I and my entire team apologize to you. Our intention wasn’t to hurt anyone. I pray to God that may you all be safe, happy, and keep smiling. With love and respect.” प्यारे कायस्थ समाज के लिए @kayasthasabha @SubodhKantSahai pic.twitter.com/sord7gTxba — Kapil Sharma (@KapilSharmaK9) May 21, 2020 5. Mukesh Khanna View this post on Instagram Mukesh Khanna, best known for shows Shaktimaan and Mahabharat, made a sexist statement that didn’t go down well with people who then bashed him on Twitter. In the interview, given to The Filmy Charcha, the actor was asked about the Me Too campaign and he said, “Aurat ka kaam hai ghar sambhalna, jo maaf karna mein kabhi kabhi bol bhi jata hu (The job of a woman is to take care of the house). Problem kaha se shuru hui hai #MeToo ki jab aurato ne bhi kaam karna shuru kar diya (The problem of #MeToo began when women started working). Aaj aurat mard ke saath kandhe se kandha milane ki baat karti hai (Today, women talk about walking shoulder-to-shoulder with men).” He added, “Log women’s liberation ki baat karenge, lekin main aapko bata doon, problem yahin se shuru hoti hai (People talk about women’s liberation, but let me tell you that where the problem begins). Sabse pehla jo member suffer karta hai woh ghar ka bachcha suffer karta hai, jisko maa nahi milti (The first person who suffers is the child because he doesn’t have a mother taking care of him at home). Aaya ke saath baith kar Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu dekh raha hota hai (He sits and watches TV with his nanny all day). Jab se shuruat hui, tab se yeh bhi shuruat hui ke main bhi wohi karungi jo mard karta hai. Nahi, mard mard hai aurat aurat hai (It all began when women started saying that they want to do what men do. No, a man is a man and a woman is a woman).” People advised him to keep his mouth shut as he disappointed them with his comments over Me Too. What do you have to say about these incidents? 5. Kangana Ranaut recently tested Covid negative and she has now shared ‘lessons from the pandemic’. Taking to Instagram, she penned several points as ‘thought of the day’ that many might not get. She took to Instagram stories and wrote, “Thought of the day might be complex or too evolved for few but some will get it. Lessons from the pandemic 1) No one is insignificant everyone can help but it's important to recognize your place, role and influence in the society 2) Don't beg from poor people if you are rich. 3) if your influence allows arrange for oxygen, beds or medicines for individuals you might save a few." © Kangana Ranaut IG It further read as, “if you are a prominent personality then don't run after a few, protect and support the one who can save millions if right environment and support given to him..5) When that only power solves more than a billion people's problems of beds and oxygen in less than a week, don't forget to acknowledge your contribution to that outcome however small it may be but remember you invested yourself in it, not many will recognise your kindness, cause in life some do drama and some simple care ... Love Kangana.” View this post on Instagram Her message came after several celebrities have been raising funds for Covid-19 relief. Actor Priyanka Chopra started a fundraiser to help aid covid-19 relief for India. The donation amount had now been increased to Rs 22 crores. Actor Anushka Sharma along with husband Virat Kohli have also raised over Rs 11 crores with the help of the their fundraising campaign. Kangana recently announced that she turned Covid negative and has a lot of tips to share but wouldn’t do that. View this post on Instagram However, later she took to Instagram saying, She said, “It is an internal fight against the virus. And we have to focus on our inner self more. I had lost the sense of taste and smell but homemade kaadha, gargles, and steam helped me a lot. I also did a lot of yoga and also chanted OM." What do you think? 6. With rising cases of COVID in India, people have become vulnerable and helpless as the country’s health care infrastructure is reeling under the second wave. Some celebs did come forward to help the needy and those who didn’t are getting heavily criticised by trolls for not using their reach for the betterment of people in such times of turmoil. Jacqueline Fernandez, who recently launched her foundation You Only Live Once (YOLO) to help the needy, admitted to being privileged but has objected to celebrities being criticized at a time like this. View this post on InstagramIn an interview with Times Now, Jacqueline said, “I want to be there as much as I can for people and not think about myself. Because I know I do come from a space that's a complete privilege right now. I have a roof over my head and I have food to eat. There are people out there struggling to survive because of the pandemic.” She went on to add, “If it’s in your capacity to help, please help, and if maybe, it’s not in your capacity or you don’t have the means, at least don’t spread hate, don’t spread negativity. It’s not the time or the place for that.” She also said that criticizing Bollywood celebs is completely uncalled for as people might not know how others are dealing with the situation mentally. “Don’t add just negativity. It's really uncalled for... There are actually people out there who are doing what they can and probably not talking about it. You don’t know what someone’s going through or what someone’s doing, so please don’t make yourself a judge of that. Even if it means keeping your negative opinions to yourself, please do that,” she added. View this post on InstagramOn the work front, Jacqueline was recently seen alongside Salman Khan in a special song in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. She has a number of films in the pipeline, including Attack, Bhoot Police, Cirkus, Bachchan Pandey, and Ram Setu. What do you have to say about her statements? 8. From award ceremonies to Bollywood chat shows hosted by celebs, there’s a lot of glamour that comes along with the industry but at times, on such shows, some actors end up getting in trouble for rubbing other stars the wrong way. We all know that somewhere these award ceremonies and chat shows might be scripted but sometimes, it so happens that the celebs do lose their cool. Here are 5 incidents that have happened in the past where celebs have engaged in verbal banters: 1. Neil Nitin Mukesh Gives It Back To Shah Rukh Khan & Saif Ali KhanIn one of the Filmfare award shows, Neil Nitin Mukesh lost his cool and we also might have been offended if we were in his position. Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan cracked a joke focusing on Neil's name and the actor gave it right back. In the video, he can be heard saying, “That is an insult for me actually. It’s not right that... I think you haven’t seen my father sitting out here also. I think it is ridiculous on both of you all to ask a question like this. I personally find this an insult. I think you guys just need to shut up.” 2. Salman Khan, Arijit Singh & Mithoon’s Show DownerThis verbal spat did give fodder to many gossipmongers. When Salman was hosting the Star Guild Awards back then, Arijit Singh won an award for his track Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2. Salman mocked him for sleeping during the award show and Arijit gave it back by saying, “Aap logon ne sula diya yaar.” It did affect Salman who made fun of the song saying that such songs are meant to make people sleep. In the same show, Singer-Composer Mithoon won an award for his composition for the same track and when he was giving his acceptance speech, the Bodyguard actor interrupted him and pointed out a piece of paper that was stuck to the composer’s backside. Salman also went on to say that his singer was sleeping and to this, Mithoon responded to the actor that it was bound to happen as the evening is dull due to Khan’s long speeches. Mithoon’s response didn’t go down well with the superstar who replied saying, “Chal jaa. Nikal yahan se” to which the composer said, “Sir, main aap se nahin darta.” An eyewitness told TOI, “Salman’s prank backfired totally. He looked very flustered. This was the last thing he expected. Nobody challenges Salman Khan like that in public. Seeing that the situation was snowballing into an ugly incident, Salman went up to Mithoon and hugged him lightly.” 3. Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Verbal War With Sajid KhanIn 2009, Sajid Khan was the host of an award show. During the awards night, he made fun of Harman Baweja's acting skills which triggered Ashutosh Gowariker. Back then, Ashutosh was working with Harman Baweja in What's Your Rashee? When Ashutosh was called on stage to receive an award for Best Film for Jodhaa Akbar, he couldn't help but lash out at Sajid for his remarks. Ashutosh Gowariker said, "I don't like one thing that film industry is made fun of at such award nights. I feel it ridicules the award itself. On the one side, I am feeling very happy that I received an award for the best film. But I don't think the demeanour of the award night has been at a good standard. No offence Sajid and Farah [Khan]. Personal remarks can also be made by me. Fun can be made even by me." 4. Kamal R Khan’s Heated Argument With Ali Asgar & Suresh MenonDuring the Zee Gold Awards, host Ali Asgar and Suresh Menon handed the Lifetime Achievement Balti Award to KRK. This irked the actor as he took it and threw it on the floor. Before throwing it on the floor, he lashed out at the hosts saying he was not a TV actor and these awards were meant for those who acted in TV serials. Kamal Khan gave a tongue-lashing to the show hosts saying they were "Do Rupaye ke Joker". After the heated argument, he walked away from the ceremony. In a telephonic interview from Dubai to India TV, Kamal Khan said, “This was sheer foolishness. I threw away the Golden Balti, but I did not insult anybody.” 5. Ritesh Deshmukh’s Verbal War With Sajid KhanRiteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan have been friends for a long time but in one of the director’s shows that he hosted, he ended up upsetting the actor. Sajid took a dig at the actor’s sexual orientation and Ritesh simply walked out of the show. When Sajid asked Riteish if he was gay, the livid actor said, “What sort of a question is that Sajid? First, you call me for your chat show, and then ask me such stuff,” said Riteish. What do you have to say about it? Let us know in the comments section below. View the full article
  9. At a time when India has been left ravaged by the tsunami of a second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, many celebrities have continued to embark on their pursuit of chasing the sun on sandy beaches and scenic views of places like Maldives and others. © Instagram_Disha Patani Be it Remdesivir injections, plasma, hospital beds, or oxygen cylinders, the whole of social media within the nation has been working effortlessly to help provide for their loved ones, friends, relatives, and people they have never even met in life. However, instead of using their worldwide influence to contribute to society in the urgent time of need, many Bollywood A-listers have flown abroad to smell the sea-breeze in safer havens. © Instagram_Janhvi Kapoor Well, there is some fresh piece of news for vacationers everywhere! Following the decision by many nations including the UK and the US of discouraging their citizens from travel to India, the Maldives has decided to ban flights from India due to the fear of Covid-19 cases in the country. The Maldives' Ministry of Tourism used its official Twitter handle to issue the announcement on Sunday (April 27). With effect from 27 April @HPA_mv suspends tourists travelling from #India to #Maldives from staying at tourist facilities in inhabited islands. We thank you for the support in our endeavour to make tourism safest possible with minimum inconvenience. — Ministry of Tourism (@MoTmv) April 25, 2021 "With effect from 27 April, @/HPA_mv suspends tourists traveling from India to the Maldives staying at tourist facilities in inhabited islands. 10. Bollywood industry has enormous talent and some actors are talented but they don’t essentially get the right chance in films to showcase their talent. Some films miserably fail at the box-office and also fail to create any impact on audience. Some movies have zero storylines but they cast A-listers in movies to make it a hit. However, such films become the biggest embarrassments for those actors. So, here are a few Bollywood celebs who wasted their talent in these movies- Akshay Kumar In Chandni Chowk To China The film starred Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in lead roles and we have to agree that the film did nothing for their careers. The film failed miserably at the box office and was only able to make 62 crores worldwide whereas it was shot on a budget of 80 crores. Akshay Kumar played the role of Sidhu, who used to cut vegetables at a Delhi food stall and later consulted astrologers in hope of a better life. Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag The film starred Amitabh Bachchan and just because he is a great actor and Bollywood’s megastar we expected a lot more from the film. The film revolves around the story of two bodyguards who flee to Mumbai in search of work when their old boss gets caught up in a scandal. They eventually end up with a gangster and start doing illegal work. This film tortured the audience and left them disappointed. Rajkummar Rao in Raabta Some of us didn’t even know that this film starred Rajkummar Rao as Mohak in the film. Honestly, some of us didn’t even notice that he was in the film. He played the role of 324 years old man and it was a waste of his talent to play such a role. Vicky Kaushal in Zubaan Vicky Kaushal played the role of a young boy, Dilsher in the film. The film revolves around him and how he loses his father and develops a speech impairment post that. He also wanted to pursue singing but becomes extremely hesitant to do that. However, a girl enters his life and changes everything. Ranveer Singh in Kill Dill The film stars Parineeti Chopra, Govinda, and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. He played the role of Dev in the film, who was only involved in bad activities. However, he falls in love with a girl and then decides to leave all the wrongdoings. View the full article
  11. In 2020, everything came to a standstill amidst the pandemic. The whole nation went in complete lockdown, withdrawing us from leisures, including travel plans as well. By 2021, the situation got better but we are again in the second wave of the pandemic. © Instagram/Shruti Haasan In the midst of all this, several tourist spots including Maldives and Goa became a travel destination for many, especially celebrities. After Amit Sadh, now actress Shruti Haasan and author Shobhaa De are raising their voices and calling out celebrities who are enjoying the holidays and posting pictures of their vacation amidst the pandemic. © Instagram/Shruti Haasan As per reports, Shruti Haasan spoke about how some celebrities are rubbing their vacation in people's faces in such stressful times. She mentioned “Glad they had a great holiday, they deserved it. I did not personally feel it was a time to go maskless in a pool. It has been a tough time for everyone and for some people much more. I think gratitude and being thankful for privileges is what is most important to know versus throwing your privileges in people’s faces.” She also said, “I was really thankful to go back to work. There were some teams which were extremely responsible and careful. And then there was “one” basically that wasn’t. And I never forgot that we are still in a pandemic. Now it is easy to say ‘oh we’re still in a pandemic’. But, I knew this three months ago. People thought that I was crazy, a psycho aunty yelling all the time. I was always on the edge about it and I don’t think many people appreciated it.” View this post on Instagram Even Shobhaa De posted on her Instagram and re-shared Rohini Iyer's photo that read “For all of you vacationing in Maldives and Goa and exotic locales, remember, it’s a holiday for you. It’s a bloody pandemic all over. So don’t be an insensitive idiot and post pictures of your privileged life. You’re not only coming across as brainless but also completely blind and deaf. This is not the time to boost your Instagram numbers. This is the time to step up and help or if you can’t do anything, then shut up and stay home! Or stay quiet in your holiday home.. Masked up. No Photos. This is not fashion week or Kingfisher Calendar time!” © Instagram/Shobhaa De Shobhaa De captioned it and wrote "It is the height of vulgarity to flaunt those ridiculous pictures. Enjoy the Maldives by all means. You are blessed if you can get such a break in these bleak times. But do everyone a favour… keep it private.” © Instagram/Shobhaa De © Instagram/Shobhaa De As soon as Shobhaa De posted this image, people spoke in complete support of the author. Some wrote, "Thanks you've said that we all wanted to say." Another person wrote, "As always you put it perfectly well. Your words convey the opinion of very well informed Indian. Always look forward to reading your articles in newspapers." After India has been hit by yet another insane second wave, many B-towners have resumed travelling. What's your take on this? Do tell us. 12. A few days ago, Amit Sadh had quit social media with a long heartfelt note. We've been dealing with coronavirus pandemic for over a year now, with a recent second surge of cases, it looks like we won't be going to the old 'normal' any time soon. With more people staying at home, a lot of people are taking to social media to interact with their followers and bridge the physical gap we've all been experiencing. View this post on Instagram Amit Sadh, however, approached social media with a different point of view at this time. While saying that he will be taking time off, he wrote, "I AM GOING OFFLINE. The recent events have made me reflect on whether I should be posting my pictures and reels. Especially when my city Mumbai and the entire state is under strict COVID restrictions, the whole country is going through a difficult time. I believe my posts and reels of the gym sessions, the silly things that I do will not heal or entertain anyone. This is not a criticism to anyone. I personally feel the best way to be sensitive about the situation is to pray and hope for things to get better (sic)." View this post on Instagram The actor added, "Reach out to people who make very few salaries, who have two 0s or three 0s in their salary, help the daily wage earners because they suffer the most. Life must go on even though I feel burdened. I am disheartened when we do not acknowledge the seriousness and do not address it. We cannot behave that everything is okay; this is a pandemic. I will continue to do what is expected of me, wear a mask, maintain a social distance of 6 feet, step out when necessary, follow protocols and rules. I am going to be vigilant, and I urge you all to do the same. I hope things get better to a point where I can start being goofy and silly again (sic)." View this post on Instagram Adding to that, he also added, “I personally feel the best way to be sensitive about the situation is to pray and hope for things to get better.” In a follow-up interview with TOI, Amit Sadh strongly suggested that many celebrities post on social media in a way that shows that they're ignorant of our current reality. He further said that "Is Brad Pitt showing you that he is on an exotic island while the rest are battling corona? No, right?" he continued. "There’s so much suffering around and how can you pretend that it’s all okay because it hasn’t affected you? This has been on my mind for weeks. Everything is fake, where’s the place for simplicity?” View this post on Instagram Clearly, this is an empathetic approach in dealing with social media currently. View the full article

Many famous celebrities who we know today have their own share of struggles and some have pretty interesting back stories of being rejected as well. Here are 5 celebrities who were rejected on a reality show, only to become a big face in real life: 1. Rajkummar RaoThis stupendously talented actor, who fits a role like a hand in a glove, has managed to make us believe that he is one of the finest actors of this generation. However, besides being rejected in numerous auditions back in his struggling days, not many are aware that he had a thing for dancing and was rejected at the age of 16 when he auditioned for Boogie Woogie, everyone’s favourite dance reality show back in the 90s. View this post on Instagram 2. Kapil SharmaThe uncrowned ‘comedy king’ who has the entire nation rolling in splits with his comic timing and his own show has not had it very easy as well. 16. It’s not the first time that Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhasker have got into a sarcastic war on Twitter. The two are equally strong-headed and do not mince words when it comes to putting out their opinions in public. Kangana and Swara are at loggerheads once again after Swara shared a video of Kangana performing a dance number in her 2013 film, Rajjo. Swara's post came after Kangana attacked Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Katrina Kaif for performing item songs in films. Kangana had said, “Whoever this fool does he know I am no Deepika Katrina or Alia... 17. Abhay Deol can’t stop praising actors Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker and jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali. Wondering why? It’s because these women were among the few Indian celebrities to voice their support for farmers' protest and against the near-identical “India against propaganda” tweets by other actors and cricketers including Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and others. Sharing screenshots of tweets made by the three, Abhay wrote in an Instagram post, "The popular expression, 'having the b@!!$' means to say 'having the courage.' Looking at these lovely ladies’ media feed and I think we should replace 'b@!!$' with 'V@£!/@' @taapsee, @farahkhanali @reallyswara ya’ll should be in the next @badgalriri video! Right wing trolls in 3, 2, 1." View this post on Instagram In her tweet on Thursday, Taapsee had made an indirect comment about the social media outcry that Rihanna's comment on the farmers' protests evoked. "If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others," she'd written. Farah expressed her disappointment and reminded everyone of the distinction between ‘reel-life heroes’ and ‘real-life heroes’. “Disappointed with the fraternity tweeting identical tweets that make it more like a marketing gimmick. Whatever their reasons & I’m no one to judge at least u could have tried to make it more original. Now you have given yourselves away. Reel Life Heroes VS Real Life Heroes,” she wrote. Actress Swara Bhasker has also been tweeting on the topic. घटिया लोग! ओछे लोग! दिमाग़ में गटर!!! #Shame pic.twitter.com/DmJfoQka5A — Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) February 4, 2021 The BackstoryOn Wednesday, a host of Bollywood celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Suniel Shetty, posted similar statements about the ongoing farmers’ protest with the hashtag #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. 19. Virat Kohli is a man of great taste who appreciates the finer things in life. Whether you speak of his ridiculously expensive watches, or perhaps his insanely expensive wallet, the man knows how to live life king size. © Instagram/virat.kohli Well, he just showed us another example of why, among the Indian cricketers, he is a contender for the title of King Of The Bling. © Instagram/virat.kohli Recently, Virat Kohli was spotted at the Mumbai Airport, with a rather dope looking carry-on bag. At first glance, the bag looked like a vintage piece from some European luxury luggage maker. It sure did turn heads. © Viral Bhayani But first, let’s have a look at his outfit. Virat was seen wearing a pair of khaki coloured chinos, and a rather understated sweatshirt from Amiri. Designed by the American designer Mike Amiri, the piece comes from his line of urban streetwear and retails for about $490, or roughly Rs 36,000. © Viral Bhayani Along with this, Virat also had a dope looking Tissot on his wrist, which had a rather chunky looking strap on it. The basic-looking tennis sneakers also look dope with the outfit that Virat has chosen. © Viral Bhayani Coming to the carry-on bag that Virat was seen carrying, that is the Keepall Bandouliere 50 from Louis Vuitton that we see here. © Viral Bhayani The Keepall is a Louis Vuitton icon and was first introduced in the 1930s, and has remained a staple among their line up ever since. The current iteration of the bag keeps things very subtle and understated. © Louis Vuitton What we get, is a specially treated leather with the label’s branding embossed all over it. The matte black finish of the leather actually goes rather well with the all-black black embellishments, and black hardware, such as the zippers, the buckles and the chains. © Louis Vuitton Given the carry-on’s legacy, and the fact that this is a piece from Louis Vuitton that we’re speaking of, assuming that the price would be sky-high, wouldn’t exactly be wrong. © Louis Vuitton The Keepall Bandoulière 50 retails for just over 1050 Euros, or roughly Rs 92,000. Add to that your regular customs and excise duties, and you’re looking at a figure that crosses the Rs 1.25 Lakhs quite easily. © Viral Bhayani Now that’s how a celebrity of Virat’s stature is supposed to roll. An incredible piece of luggage to show off one's style moves. A great move indeed! View the full article
