When we say the word ‘pillow fight’, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it a brother-sister duel over the TV remote? Or something a little more sensual, fantasy-like visual where two women are dressed in their silky satin pyjamas and playing with pillows and cushions, as the feathers ruffle out? © iStock An image that has forever been replaced in our heads, with something more risque, violent and definitely less sexy. We are talking about a certain Pillow Fight Championship that was organised in Florida, US and needless to say, was the first of its kind. The championship rules were simple, opponents in the ring had to land pillows on one another and not kicks or punches. The fantasy game was now transformed into a proper combat sport with a winning prize that consisted of a title belt and $5,000 (approx Rs 3.73 lakhs). The pay-per-view event had 16 men and 8 women take part in this unique and cushy championship and soon after the videos were released on social media, there was a lot of ‘pillow talk’ on twitter that talked about the sport. © Twitter Brazil's Istela Nunes won the coveted title on the women's side, giving a tough competition to American Kendahl Voelker. Of course it wasn’t even close to how men would imagine women fighting with pillows, but it was still a sight we couldn’t not behold.
