  1. On days when the nation's bravehearts are not risking their lives to protect us, they are still saving lives with their selfless acts and heartwarming gestures. Constable Gohil Shailesh from the 53 Battalion of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) is one such braveheart who has now become the nation's hero too, after a photo of him donating blood to a young woman was posted on social media. According to the post, the 25-year-old pregnant woman from Kashmir developed some severe complications (and blood loss) during her delivery and was in an urgent need of blood. Reportedly, the woman's family contacted CRPF 'Madadgaar', a helpline that addresses the medical emergencies of people living in Kashmir. The relation of blood. 2. For Lotus Fashion Week 2019, Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi, a renowned campaigner against child labour, led a group of designers to pledge a child labour-free production in the Indian fashion industry. © Twitter "There are about 500 million children in the world who are forced into child labour. Through this pledge, we promise to stop hiring children at workplace," Satyarthi announced. © Twitter The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has collaborated with Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation (KSCF) to launch #Notmadebychildren campaign. The campaign aims to stop child labour in India's fashion and textile industries. This movement, according to Satyarthi, and the initiative is the "start of a new movement in India". © Twitter Designers like Rina Dhaka, Rahul Mishra and Reynu Taandon were a part of the pledge ceremony.
  3. Winter might still be looming on our heads but the winter we all are waiting for is coming in April when the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' hits us with God knows what! The new pictures that were recently released gave away very little, just like the teaser which actually just teased us only a tab bit. Now as per Redditors, there's a new crazy theory around the birth and fate of Cersei's unborn child. According this theory, she might give her child to the Night King and in return become the only immortal in Westeros and rule like the queen that she is. While many theories about the Night King and even Jon Snow have been floating around, this one claims that with her love Jamie now gone, it is possible that he is killed in the big war and when the news arrives, she'll sacrifice her child to save her own soul. © HBO Some theories already claim that there is a pact between the White Walkers and the humans and the Night King's army will be returning for their periodical sacrifice. Now we know what you're thinking--even Khaleesi is pregnant, right? Well, but one of her dragons are already with him and given the fact that this child could mean everything to her, we doubt she'll give it away. The insanity shall roll over us starting 26th April. Till then, keep calm and carry on.

  5. Not all heroes wear capes, some don the uniform of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and do not think twice before risking their lives to save others. And one such hero was spotted in Kerala, which is currently battling one of the worst flash floods seen in the state's history. Amidst the worsening situation, there's one video that has emerged as a silver lining and proves that nothing can wash away Kerala's fighting spirit. We're talking about the video that has been going viral on social media, where a man can be seen running across a sinking bridge with a child in his arms. He is holding a kid in his hands to save it's life. He took the risk knowingly that one more shutter of Idukki dam has opened and water can swallow the bridge within minutes. His name is Kanhaiya Kumar and he is from Bihar. Kerala salutes the brave soldier. @NitishKumar pic.twitter.com/xGoFWwNErw — SANDEEP. G. VARIER (@sandeepvarier) August 11, 2018 Kanhaiya Kumar, an NDRF team member, saw a man with a child seeking help from the other side of the Cheruthoni Bridge near the Idukki Dam, whose five shutters were opened last week after 26 years. The moment he saw the man, Kumar ran towards the child, picked him up and ran towards safety. The bridge submerged in minutes after they crossed it. The video was captured by News18 Kerala and Malayala Manorama. Valiant effort by NDRF constable Kanhaiya Kumar to rescue a child before the water level reached dangerous levels...a heartening scene from the flood affected Kerala... A BIG salute to all those men and women out there who are trying to bring the affected lives back to normalcy pic.twitter.com/Hz26bpVQYS — santhosh kottayi (@kottayimavoor) August 12, 2018 Kumar told NDTV, "I did not even have time to ask who the man was. I knew they had to cross and they were scared. They were many people on the side I was standing. Politicians, locals, officials, but nothing else mattered to me and I dashed off, carried the kid, and ran back, with the father following me." Kumar, who has been working for six years has been trained in deep-diving from the fourth battalion of NDRF at Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. In fact, he has been a part of several disaster rescue missions and relief operations across India. Like a proud father, NDRV sub-inspector Mahavir Singh said, "My team and I are very proud of Kanhaiya. It's not just for himself. He has brought appreciation not just for himself, but the entire NDRF." Instances like these and people like Kanhaiya Kumar reinstill our hope in humanity.
