  1. Christmas is the season of joy and togetherness, a time when our homes are decorated, the tree is decked up and the family gets together to celebrate a time full of love. However, not everyone is lucky enough to have family or a place to call 'home' and that's where the humanitarian heroes of the world come into the picture. The Sikh community has always led by example when it comes to serving the world, and the amazing people and volunteers at UK's 'Langar Seva Society' organised a festive dinner for the homeless and even distributed gifts to ensure that the festival was celebrated together. They had a Santa Claus, carol singers but most impotantly, hearts full of warmth which ensured that the Chrsitmas party was exactly what the festive season was all about; joy, love and a sense of belongingness. This world and of all humanity still have hope in the form of beautiful people, who inspire us everyday to become a better version of ourselves.
  2. Christmas is celebrated globally and pretty much marks the end of the year. Everyone is in a relaxed mood, schedules are filled with holidays and everyone just wants to relax. Seems like the holiday season now extends to "artificial" beings as well. Amazon's Echo smart speakers went down across the network on Christmas Day, with thousands of people reporting that the company's artificial intelligence assistant Alexa appeared to have gone on a festive break. © Amazon Amazon recently reported that it had sold "tens of millions" of the Echo range of smart speakers powered by the company's AI assistant Alexa. It's simple to conclude, a lot of people opened their presents in the morning, fired up the speaker and asked it way too many questions. It's natural for all of us to play around a maximum time when the gadget is new, and this flood of new users downed the servers. Thanks to the tens of thousands, or maybe even millions of commands coming in from all over the globe, the system just couldn't handle it. Even Alexa had it with humans and decided to be Absent Without Leave (AWOL), and I'm sure HR folks at Amazon weren't very excited about it. Oh dear. Red ring of death #alexa pic.twitter.com/aPqlE6LUX5 — Angus Fox ð´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ (@nuxnix) December 25, 2018 Multilingual Alexa, who has more than 70,000 different skills, told over 100 million jokes in 2018, but people were less than impressed with her Christmas day stunt. Rather than give the desired response, when the system crashed at about 10 am, Alexa said: "Sorry, I'm having trouble understanding you right now." Though, the system was slowly back on track by the end of the afternoon. Replying to a query on Twitter, Amazon said they were aware of the issue and a technical team would resolve it within 12-24 hours. © Outage(dot) report The Amazon Echo speaker has a ring on the top, it usually is blue in colour, but turned red on Christmas Day. This obviously, wasn't planned to match along with the festival, but a sign that Alexa is unable to connect with the server successfully. The system wasn't globally down as many users in the U.S.A reported no issues while the most affected seem to be UK and Italy. The Amazon Echo Dot was Amazon's most popular gift in the lead up to the holidays.
  3. Celebrations aren't over for the Chopra and the Jonas clans, and neither are the reasons to throw parties. After hosting 2 weddings and multiple receptions (we lost track after the second one), the couple switched their party mode on once again last night, when they threw a kickass Christmas party for their friends and family. 4. Salman Khan may not be the best dancer Bollywood has seen, but he surely is the best brother Sohail and Arbaaz could have asked for. It is a fact well known that Salman can move heaven and earth for his family, and so he has always stood by his brothers through thick and thin. View this post on Instagram Just a few years ago :) A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) on Oct 4, 2017 at 7:08am PDT While there are very few movies where the brothers have come together and shared the screen space (read 'Hello Brother'), we have otherwise witnessed both Arbaaz and Sohail appear in movies alongside their big brother, and entertain us thoroughly (Read 'Hello Brother', 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya', 'Dabangg', 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' and the likes). But this Christmas, the brothers gave us a visual dose of what it might be like to have all three of them share the silver screen yet again (well, one can always wish), and the end result has left us in high spirits! View this post on Instagram Merry Xmas to all.... A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) on Dec 25, 2018 at 10:00am PST Last night, Salman Khan shared a short video of the Christmas celebrations on his Instagram account. In it we can see that Sallu Bhai and Arbaaz are grooving to a peppy number on the dance floor, while Sohail joins the duo soon. The three brothers can be seen tapping their feet together (almost in-sync) and really having a lot of fun together. Later their brother-in-law and actor Ayush Sharma also joins the trio in the end of the video. View this post on Instagram Emotionally dependent on Independence Day ð A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) on Aug 15, 2017 at 5:00am PDT It's good to see the brothers having a good time together, and we really feel that video set the ball rolling for the season's happy-high spirits, what with Christmas bidding us adieu and the new year peeking at us from right around the corner.
  5. While Christmas is a time with family and close friends, it also brings in some form of romantic closure. It could be because cosying up with someone in the cold harsh winter is the ultimate thing to do, while the festivities are in order. So, in case you're looking for date idea to brighten up your holiday, we have some rather swanky ones, that are away from boring Christmas traditions. © Pinterest Here are 5 different ways to spend the Christmas holiday together: (1) Cook A Grand Meal Together Since Christmas is all about good food, why don't you two take that up as a chore and get to work? Look up some Christmas lunch recipes and whip up something you've never tried your hand at before. Trust me, cooking together as a couple is quite therapeutic and of course, brings you a lot closer. © Pinterest (2) Go About Town In Ugly Sweaters Ugly sweaters are to Christmas what boners are to mornings. They're uncomfortable but natural! So, make a thing of it and wear the ugliest one you have in your closet and venture out during the day. You could go for lunch, watch a movie, or just stay home and chill, as long as you're in your ugliest sweater! © Pinterest (3) Soak In The Sun Head out for a picnic in the sunny afternoon and get drunk on some wine. While drinking may be prohibited in public places, I am sure you can sip some wine in a chosen picnic spot and spend the afternoon just catching up with some sun. © Pinterest (4) Have Some Wild Christmas *** Yup, role-playing is bang on (pun intended) on Christmas. You can dress up as Santa, she can dress up as a naughty elf and you can spend your afternoon just playing out festive fantasies! It's a good day to stay in, lock your doors and lose inhibition! © Pinterest (5) Spend Your Evenings Making Cocktails That's a brilliant way to spend Christmas with your SO. Fish out some cocktail recipes from the internet and get all the mixers and tonics in place and churn out some mean cocktails. They can be very festive in nature and hit the spot just about right. Imagine the fun you'd have wasted in the kitchen whipping up some amazing cocktails together! © Pinterest You can obviously do some clichéd stuff too like sitting around in your pyjamas and Netflix and 'chilling' or you can head out for a fabulous Christmas lunch somewhere or have a regular date night. The point is, it's a joyous festival, so doing something different is just an add-on, as long as you have fun doing it! So this Christmas, make the most of it with your plus 1 and have a fabulous holiday!
  6. 'Black Mirror' is one of the best shows to have ever existed and I'm not even exaggerating. It's so brilliant and every episode is so well-made and very memorable. All the fans of the show always get a great Christmas present a few days after 25th in the form of new 'Black Mirror' episodes every year and it seems like we won't be disappointed this year as well. Just last week, I was looking up the season 5 release date and finally got an answer today. Netflix is finally giving up something related to the new season and the excitement is at an all-time high. There's one problem though, as instead of an entire season, we might just be getting one Black Mirror Netflix Original movie called 'Bandersnatch', at least according to the easter egg on Netflix right now. If you search for 'Black Mirror' on the site right now, the results look something like this - © Netflix I like how they used 'Be right back' instead of 'Coming soon' because the first one is the title of an old episode. We see you, 'Black Mirror', we see you. Just a week till 28th - the tentative release date - and we'll know for sure what all we're getting and what the episode will be about. It's not yet clear if it will be a standalone episode like 'White Christmas' or a part of the fifth season and include the 'choose your own adventure' narrative. Upon closer look, it's titled as 'A Netflix Film: Black Mirror - Bandersnatch' With the image consisting of other Black Mirror episodes, is this a feature film? Or something to do with those 'Choose Your Own Adventure' reports. pic.twitter.com/3k0MDYyJAf — Scott Bryan (@scottygb) December 20, 2018 Someone found the synopsis as well! finally! the synopsis of the black mirror movie (taken from a korea rating website) can we fast forward to next friday, please? pic.twitter.com/ZGMIG3txgq — ana (@bluesgrady) December 20, 2018 And, here's some more information about 'Bandersnatch'. Turns out there was an ill-fated game named 'Bandersnatch' developed by a UK studio back in 1984, which is the year 'Bandersnatch' the Black Mirror episode takes place (we know this because a set photo shows Bob Marley's 'Legend' at #1 on the charts in a record store). pic.twitter.com/rytyTl22sP — Ebejeevezner Scrooge âðððâï¸ (@jeeveswilliams) November 21, 2018
  7. Christmas is around the corner, and it's only normal to have themed parties. Hell, it's even cool to have them. But, things might just take a tricky turn when you've been pranked by your buddies. Looks like Ryan Reynolds just had to go through that when Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal pulled one on him. Actually, now that we look at it, it sure looks like Wolverine and Mysterio teamed up against Deadpool. © The Hollywood Reporter Ryan Reynolds just put up an Instagram post where he attended a party, wearing a super festive and ugly sweater that legit looks like a gift was wrapped with a massive golden ribbon (that has been made into a bow). His headline reads: "These fu*king a**holes said it was a sweater party." © Instagram/vancityreynolds Clearly, he's not amused. Hugh and Jake, on the other hand, look like they're about to collapse from laughing so hard. © Instagram/vancityreynolds Who needs enemies when you have friends like this? Anyway, what we discovered is that we are ready for another crossover that has Wolverine, Deadpool, and Mysterio. Marvel, are you listening?
