At the Lotus Fashion Week 2019, on the second day, among other designers was a remarkable menswear collection called 'Meld' by Dhruv Vaish. © Studio picsing © Studio picsing © Studio picsing Inspired by modern industrial art, and keeping the masculine sensibility in account, the collection is a fusion of geometric prints, versatile textures and fabrics crafted in slick solids. Introducing fabrics like satin for men, alongside traditional works of cottons and wool. The shiny fabric has been juxtaposed with very earthy handloom cottons in contrasting hues of dark navy, purples, browns and vibrant yellows to put together a stellar outfit. © Studio picsing © Studio picsing © Studio picsing © Studio picsing © Studio picsing © Studio picsing © Studio picsing The collection represents the constantly evolving definition of traditional menswear with a limited range of shapes and colours. Introducing a plethora of unconventional colours and a range of clothing like long coats, hybrids, double layered jackets, high-waisted pants, put together with space age sun glasses represents the on-the-go modern man in Dhruv Vaish's collection.
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsThe Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week just started at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, and Suket Dhir's collection was the highlight, when it comes to menswear. The collection was all about minimalistic layering silhouettes made out of delicate 'Jaamdani' weave, with a contemporary aesthetic. The designer showcased the subtlety of Indian culture through fabric handiworks and artisanal skills, in a heartwarming ode to the 'memoirs of childhood and those days of merrymaking'. Here are 10 outfits from the collection that are giving us major fashion inspo, while teaching us a thing or two about layering. 1. This flowy, rustic white on white ensemble. © Studiopicsing 2. Muted colours, when paired properly, will always up your sophistication quotient. © Studiopicsing 3. Bandhgala waistcoats are here to stay. It's only a matter of reinventing them. © Studiopicsing 4. You can never go wrong with relaxed, comfortable, printed co-ords. © Studiopicsing 5. Dominant floral patterns can be endearingly tasteful. Exhibit A. © Studiopicsing 6. Baggy pleated trousers with an Ikkat patterned Bomber will take you places. © Studiopicsing 7. Kimono pattered jackets should be more mainstream. © Studiopicsing 8. This Jaamdani weave fabric is giving us life. © Studiopicsing 9. Chrome and blue perhaps is the most underrated combination. © Studiopicsing 10. A pop of colour is never unwelcome when it's impeccably stitched and paired. © Studiopicsing Bravo, Suket! We can't wait to see more such exciting layering trends that can easily be embraced by Indian men.
