  1. Ever since he was waived off his duties as a Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has maintained a stern silence over his former employers. Whether it be a situation that led to his sacking or his hefty release clause, Mourinho has maintained a high standard of professionalism. After losing the dressing room at Old Trafford and failing to garner performances from key players like Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial, the English club hierarchy decided to pull the plug on Mourinho's contract and appointed former player and legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the caretaker manager. Ole Gunnar has proved to be a breath of fresh air for both, players and fans. After winning 14 out of his first 17, which includes wins over arch-rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, it's a matter of when, not if, Solskjaer will get the win. Having adopted a new role during his time off, Jose Mourinho is doing his punditry duties with the Russian network RT. In a recent analysis program, the 'Special One', he talked about Ole's impact and how pleased he was for Manchester United after the English club registered a historic win and knocked out PSG from Champions League. Mourinho: “Ten Hag from Ajax, Solskjaer from Manchester United, incredible results, so credit to them. Manchester United, I would say the mental side of it, the self-belief, very special days for these two men” #mufc [RT] pic.twitter.com/ufETK2c2eu — United Xtra (@utdxtra) March 7, 2019 Unlike some others, (*coughs* Paul Ince) Mourinho was in awe of Solskjaer and Ajax manager Ten Hag's achievements. It is a testament to his professionalism how he gave full credit of Manchester United and Ajax's qualification to Solskjaer. Considering that Ole was the man who made him jobless, Mourinho's respect in our hearts = 1000000%. If you're the one of those who is really into such programs, then you'll know that Jose's analyses are almost always spot on. No matter what people say about him being an outdated coach, his tactical knowledge still makes him a 'Special One' of punditry game.
  2. If there has ever been a perfect owner of a football club, it has to be Paris Saint Germain's (PSG) Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The Qatar Sports Investment's president, Al-Khelaifi has left no stone unturned in order to make, what originally was an interesting and ambitious project into a successful project. What he couldn't seem to get his hands on is PSG's luck. On a night when the odds were in Les Rouge et Bleu's favour, considering the two-goal cushion from the first leg and 10 first team players injured for Manchester United, this really should've been a walk in the park, but Manchester United had other ideas in mind. United came from 2-0 first-leg deficit to beat PSG 3-1 and qualified on away goals. It was in the summer of 2017 when PSG decided to get over 'that' round-of-16 loss to Barcelona and signed Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the same transfer window. A real fantasy manager stuff. These latest acquisitions made the French side look strong both mentally and physically. But as is the case most of the times, fortune favours the brave and last night, it was the Red Devils who proved to be the braver one. Considering this is PSG's second 'they-cannot-lose-now' kind of loss, here are a few similar moments from the two: 1. Early Goal “It's never Mission Impossible, it's more difficult”, admitted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his press conference. He stressed a lot on scoring an early goal and then staying in the game till the very end and United did just that, scoring the first goal after two minutes courtesy of Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku's goal to make it 0-1 pic.twitter.com/23paOFjNbk — DILLINGER ð¹(@DillanMUFC) March 6, 2019 Wonder where the tactic came from? Barcelona 1 - PSG 0. After just two minutes on the clock, Luis Suarez scored from a defensive mix-up and sparked the historic comeback. 2. Weird Penalty You do need a bit of luck when you're trying to accomplish such mammoth tasks. Not taking anything away from Manchester United and Barcelona, but the penalties given against Presnel Kimpembe and Thomas Meunier were both a little bit harsh. Man United had VAR to thank for the penalty, whereas the referee consulted his assistant before giving the penalty to Barcelona which he denied initially, in 2017. Marcus Rashford's historic winning penalty is even better with Titanic music! pic.twitter.com/ZSRrScw47O — The Man Utd Way (@TheManUtdWay) March 7, 2019 3. Late Late Goal © Reuters Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was one of the major personalities in that era of 'Fergie Time'. The man, who himself knows a thing or two about late goals, saw his team score one thanks to the winning penalty from Marcus Rashford. © Reuters This time, it was Marcus Rashford and the last time, it was Barcelona's academy graduate Sergi Roberto who was found perfectly by Neymar's lofted pass and broke Parisian's hearts. 4. Historic Wins The thing both the games had in common was the 'No-One-Has-Ever-Done-That' factor. For Manchester United, no team had ever overturned a 2-0 home leg defeat in order to qualify. Whereas for Barcelona, no team had ever qualified after losing the first leg away from home 4-0. To everybody's surprise, these teams did the impossible. As for PSG, the project they have and are working on is really an enticing one. Their owner can buy anything, any player, any facility in the world. What we really want to recommend them is to buy some luck as well. As it turns out, PSG is the Tottenham of the Champions League.
  3. It's never too late for anyone to follow their dreams. India's Mohammed Shami has proven that to be a true as he has made a historic return to the Indian cricket team after more than a year and a half and has flourished against the toughest of rivals the Men in Blue have gone against ever since. The year 2018 was extremely tough on the Indian pacer had he was not only on his way to recovering from a career-threatening knee injury but was also being slammed by the media and the judicial system for the ugly divorce case was he going through. For an athlete, the mental impact of an injury as severe as Shami's can be a lot more devastating than the physical damage. Add to that the constant stress of the infamous case being broadcasted nationwide and the results can be beyond repairable. Thankfully for Mohammed Shami, who not only won the case against his ex-wife but also was able to make a fantastic comeback, overcame the demons in his head and now is one of the more dependable bowlers for the Indian roster who has a great chance of getting a berth in the World Cup roster. But what led to the heroic comeback of the pacer? According to his interview with India Today, Shami was able to return to his glory days because of the sudden change in the culture of the team. “The fitness awakening that we have had has had a huge impact on me. I looked at others and worked on my game. I have enjoyed it fully. The fitness culture that we have in our team is amazing, you cannot even think about it,” said the cricketer. Taking inspiration from the more athletic teammates with the likes of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, Shami, who had failed the famous 'Yo-Yo' fitness test last year, not only passed by also became one of the top performers ahead of India's long multi-national tour began in late 2018, according to the team's head coach, Ravi Shastri. In the series against Australia and New Zealand, Shami was not only one of the most successful Indian bowlers but also became the fastest Indian bowler to take 100 ODI wickets (56 matches) breaking Irfan Pathan's record of 59 matches. 100 ODI wickets and counting for @MdShami11 ðð#TeamIndia #NZvIND pic.twitter.com/3RVvthg1CH — BCCI (@BCCI) January 23, 2019 “I am thankful to God that I have been able to make this record. There are many reasons behind it. Biggest is the unbelievably brilliant atmosphere in the dressing room, followed by the confidence that I have in ability right now and also the things that I continue to learn from our coaches,” said Shami. “Everything has contributed and combined to take me to the another level. There are many minute things which bring in a lot of confidence and help us to get into the rhythm. For instance, not just on the ground, have a look at the way we (Indian players) treat each other off the field too. We enjoy every little thing. This helps a great deal,” said Shami. Shami is named for the final squad for the five-match ODI series against Australia and will also be playing for King XI Punjab in the 12th edition of the Indian Primier League (IPL) this season.
  4. The WWE Universe was in absolute shock when in October last year, the one-time Universal Champion, Roman Reigns let the world know how he had Leukemia and had been fighting blood cancer for 11 years behind-the-scenes. On a later October episode of Monday night Raw, the Samoan wrestler let the audience know that in order to battle the disease more intimately, he had to go away from the WWE for some time and had to give up his title in the process. Breaking his character for maybe the very first time, Reigns had said: “My real name is Joe and I have been living with Leukemia for 11 years.” People were crying and hurting but were united in support of the 'Big Dog'. Thank you to everyone who's reached out...I can't put into words what it means to me. Your energy and positivity motivate me to get better quickly to get back in the ring, but for now I'm going to spend time with my family and focus on health. Thank you - Joe/Roman — Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) October 23, 2018 But, Reigns didn't forget to mention that he is in no way retiring from WWE and once he was done “whooping Leukemia's ass,” he was going to be back on Raw, healthy as ever, to take what was rightfully his, the WWE Universal Championship. Now, exactly four months since Reigns let the world in on his painful secret, WWE.com made an official statement saying that Reigns is set to make a comeback to the franchise show, albeit for one night, to address the update on his battle versus the cancer. WWE CEO, Vince McMahon too, took to Twitter with an update: .@WWERomanReigns (aka Joe Anoa'i) will address the status of his fight with leukemia this Monday on Raw. #fighter #proud #classy pic.twitter.com/kgXD8SHwVc — Vince McMahon (@VinceMcMahon) February 21, 2019 Well, it looks like Reigns kept his word after all. Four months ago, 'The Guy' had said that he would soon be back to the ring, to 'his yard', as he so proudly claims it to be and Roman is finally going to be home. A couple of weeks ago, former WWE wrestler and Hollywood star, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had expressed his love for Reigns, his cousin, over his tireless war against Leukemia and how it had evolved Reigns' “state of mind”. Very proud of him. His leukemia recovery has elevated his state of mind to a whole other level. And it was fuuuun to go legit beast mode with my cousin in our movie where he plays my brother. #LetTheBodiesHitTheFloor #HobbsAndShaw AUG 2nd. https://t.co/bqpLFQC1Z1 — Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) January 28, 2019 In the process of defeating the disease, Reigns believes that his return to the WWE would not just be about wrestling and winning titles but will come with a purpose: “I am coming back because I want to show all of you, the whole world… that when life throws a curveball at me… I will always swing for the fences.” Reigns' fans finally took a breath of fresh air and reacted in joy over the internet: Hell yes the Big Dog returns. I hope his battle with leukemia is either over or almost there. 5. If you've been using smartphones since the early 2000s, you may remember the iconic Motorola RAZR and how it took over the world. The slick flip phone was probably the hottest looking smartphone that everyone owned. It was a marvel when it came to the aesthetics, however, the hinges kept breaking easily. It was the first phone that generated a “craze” among the consumers and now, it seems like it will be making a comeback. According to Wall Street Journal's sources, the new phone is expected to launch soon. Photo: © YouTube (Main Image) © YouTube Lenovo, the company that also owns Motorola, is now looking to revive the nostalgic phone, however, there is some rather bad news if you thought you could get it easily. Rumours suggest that the Motorola RAZR will launch in partnership with U.S. Carrier 'Verizon'. However, that's not the disappointing development, it's the staggering price. The price tag that Lenovo will ask for this piece of nostalgia is a mind-numbing $1500 (Rs 1,06,990). That's a hefty price tag for a piece of nostalgia if you ask me. It seems like that this price tag will obviously not result in good sales numbers. © Motorola Apart from the fact that this is a folding phone, there's no news about its specifications, design or anything else. We could speculate that a phone that folds, better have two screens or great specifications that would make it worthy of paying that hefty price tag. There's a good chance that it might a fully foldable phone which could justify its high price tag. As of now, this particular Motorola RAZR phone is just a part of a rumour which should be taken with a pinch of salt. Who knows what the device will look like and what specifications it has to offer. For now, we just hope it's a real device and delivers the same spectacular device as its older counterpart. Source: Wall Street Journal
  6. Hugh Jackman may have left Wolverine behind but his fans are not ready to let go of the iconic character just yet. Even the slightest hint towards the return of Logan makes everyone go crazy and no one would mind the return of Wolverine, of course. Moreover, Ryan Reynolds is also not helping Hugh convince everyone that Wolverine is gone for real. Hugh posted a workout video and everyone thinks there's only one reason that he could be working out - Wolverine's return. It's not like he's an actor and has to stay in shape for his job, nope, he can only workout to play Wolverine. 7. Remember the Oppo R9 that took the world by storm with its chic metallic red look? This was way back in 2016 when the 'selfie' trend was at its peak. The Oppo R9 was the key player in the selfie revolution with its selfie shooter that supported multiple levels for flashlight and not to forget, the brilliant Beautify 4.0 Mode. From what we remember, at that point, when every other brand was focussing on silver, gold and rose tones, this Chinese smartphone maker shifted its focus to a classic red hue at an affordable budget range. Fast forward to 2017, which marked the entry of the Oppo R11, a smartphone that pioneered the crescent curved design offered at a mid-range price structure. If you ask us, we remember this smartphone for all the right reasons - a spectacular 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED panel, a powerful AI-capable Snapdragon 660 chipset and dual rear cameras with 20MP and 16MP sensors. Speaking of Oppo's 2017 lineup, we cannot ignore the dynamic R15 that went two steps further to introduce the ruby red and cosmic purple gradient colours to spoil us with choices. What's more? Think AI Scene Recognition, Game Acceleration Mode and a Super Full Screen that only made this smartphone bigger and bolder. Glam part aside, Oppo has made a constant effort to up the performance game of the R Series in terms of hardware. In fact, the R15 Pro is the ultimate celebration of that notion with its latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, large storage, impressive battery life and a technology that has quite literally been a life saviour, the VOOC Flash Charging that ensures you can charge your phone in a flash and it will last throughout the day. In India though, the last R Series that graced the showrooms was the R7 (Lite and Plus) in 2015. Yes, it has been a while! What's the good news? Well, the R Series is now making a huge comeback to India with the R17 Pro and we cannot really keep our calm for the big reveal. Are you as excited as we are?
  8. It's been 21 years since the classic Winamp media player was released for Windows, and it seems like the audio app will be making a return next year. It will be re-launching in the form of a mobile app that will be able to run all your music, podcasts and radio shows all in one place, according to TechCrunch. Radionomy's CEO Alexandre Saboundjian, the company that bought the application from AOL said: "There will be a completely new version next year, with the legacy of Winamp but a more complete listening experience. You can listen to the MP3s you may have at home, but also to the cloud, to podcasts, to streaming radio stations, to a playlist you perhaps have built.” © YouTube This new version of Winamp will be coming to both iOS and Android platforms while Winamp is already present in the Google Play Store. Having said that, the new version is expected to give a completely different experience and will also be updated on the desktop. Winamp faced tough competition from mobile apps that led to its decline, as most of its user base was on desktop computers. Saboundjian claims that the mobile app will have everything in one place as currently, mobile audio services are currently fractured and inconvenient. © Nullsoft As of now, there are no details as to what services would be a part of the Winamp app. It could work similarly to the Sonos app and provide services from different applications such as Spotify, Apple Music, Google Music Library and others. We can't wait to relive the good old glory days once the application is released and see what services the new application has to offer. For more information, stay tuned to MensXP Technology. 9. In what has been an incredible tournament for Croatia thus far, they ensured that they would make one last trip to the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Sunday, as they were the deserved winners against England. While a lot was expected of the 'Golden Generation' of Croatia, no one quite expected them to reach the finals, while playing some of the most exceptional football we've seen in this tournament. While, the likes of Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, and Mario Mandzukic have been the driving forces for Croatia, a relatively lesser-known Ivan Perisic's performances have gone under the radar. However, Perisic's performance against England proved that the Croats aren't called the “Golden Generation” for no reason, as he played a decisive role in his team reaching the final. © Reuters Ivan Perisic is a rare combination of seemingly mutually exclusive physical qualities. His physical appearance would give the impression of a lanky footballer, but he possesses tremendous pace, strength and a vicious left foot. At his best, Perisic combines all these traits almost perfectly and plays exhibition-like football. Luckily for us, Perisic was in full form as he saved his best display of the tournament for one of Croatia's biggest matches in their history. After a meek first half, Perisic began bombarding down the right-hand side as he became the attacking outlet of his side. All long balls, either from Lovren in defence or Modric in midfield were directed to him. Moreover, he was a constant menace to all English defenders, as he kept switching flanks and made runs inside towards the centre, thus making him impossible to mark. © Reuters However, his breakthrough moment came in the 68th minute. Just as England were looking too stubborn to break, Sime Vrsaljko floated a cross in from the right, which wasn't particularly aimed at Perisic. However, he escaped his marker in the box and got in ahead of Kyle Walker, to guide the ball into the goal with his heal. While there were doubts about the legitimacy of the goal, as Perisic had raised his foot too high in the air, it was certain that his goal was the result of an exceptional piece of skill, that not many could pull off. Perisic did not stop there, as just 4 minutes later, he was on the end of a loose ball that fell to him, as a result of a mistake made by the English defenders. He once again outwitted Walker as he performed a stepover on him, and shot at the goal only to be denied by the post. Perisic frowned as he knew what the margins were. However, despite the miss, he had managed to take the game into extra time. © Reuters And that is when he made his most crucial contribution. With the match deep into extra time, Walker cleared Ivan Strinic's cross which went high into the air. However, his kryptonite of the day, Perisic headed the ball into the path of Mandzukic, who netted the ball home. His first assist of the tournament was the most crucial one in their history. After such a thunderous performance, he becomes so much more important to Croatia in the final. France possess ample quality on the wings themselves, and Perisic will be key in nullifying that threat. However, whatever the outcome on Sunday, Perisic has given us a performance that he will be remembered for.
