  1. PM Modi is back from his meditation trip in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand and so is reel-life PM Modi aka Vivek Oberoi, with the biggest and the most controversial movie of his career. In case you were too busy partying over the weekend and failed to check your social media feed, PM Modi was recently clicked meditating in a cave (Rudra Meditation Cave to be specific) in Kedarnath. © Twitter While PM Modi was relaxing in a meditational retreat, away from the political husle-bustle, actor Vivek Oberoi was gearing up for the comeback of 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic and today he unveiled a new poster of the film that will finally see the light of the day on May 24th, a day after the elections results are out. According to reports, Vivek launched the poster along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and producer Sandip Ssingh, in Nagpur, Maharashtra. भारत मà¥à¤ हर बड़ॠà¤à¤¾à¤® à¤à¤¿ शà¥à¤°à¥à¤µà¤¾à¤¤ शà¤à¤ बà¤à¤¾ à¤à¤° à¤à¥ à¤à¤¾à¤¤à¥ हà¥... However, more than the poster, it was the taglines that caught people's attention. The poster reads, "Aa rahe hai dobara...PM Narendra Modi...Ab koi rok nahi sakta." We don't know if they meant it for the biopic or otherwise. What do you think? © Legend Global Studios As the film's release date nears, we guess Vivek Oberoi's fans and all those eagerly waiting for Vivek Oberoi to make a comeback, can now finally rejoice. But, after Vivek Oberoi's distasteful (meme) post against Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, we wonder how many people will continue to be his fans. That post was really uncalled for and so not cool, Vivek. Haha! ð creative! No politics here....just life ðð Credits : @pavansingh1985 pic.twitter.com/1rPbbXZU8T — Vivek Anand Oberoi (@vivekoberoi) May 20, 2019 Earlier, the movie's release was put on hold citing the Lok Sabha elections. The filmmakers later got another major blow when they found out that the trailer, which had over a million views on YouTube, had been mysteriously taken down from YouTube and other social media platforms. Directed by Omung Kumar, 'PM Narendra Modi' also stars Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Sengupta and Darshan Kumaar, among others.
  2. Actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim needs no introduction. At least not anymore. She is the one who went against and beyond everyone's expectations to take home the 'Bigg Boss 12' trophy. However, before she won the trophy or entered the 'Bigg Boss' house, she was known as Simar, a 'bahu' who has to deal with witches, ghosts and eventually become a house fly to save her family. © Twitter Yes, we're talking about 'Sasural Simar Ka', a show that made researchers quit their jobs after they failed to find the logic behind the show's existence. But, jokes apart, that show had its own fair share of fans, who might even be waiting for a sequel of 'Sasural Simar Ka'. We don't know about the sequel, but Dipika is coming back with a new show and don't worry, it will hopefully have nothing to do with witches and house flies. What's more, it will be the same show with which the 'Nawab Of Bollywood' aka Saif Ali Khan will make his TV debut. © Instagram Saif will apparently play cupid to bring together two star crossed lovers - Dipika and Karan V Grover. In fact, according to reports, Saif has already started shooting for his portions at Mehboob Studios. Saif is currently working on 'Sacred Games 2' and 'Bhoot Police' that also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh and Ali Fazal.
  3. EA's new battle royale title became a breakaway gaming hit of this year. The game quickly became one of the top titles of 2019 by attracting over 50 million players in just a few months' time. Now, the company wants to bring it to mobile devices. Yes, it's finally happening. In its earnings call, EA noted that “it's in advanced negotiations to bring Apex Legends to China and to mobile.” Unfortunately, they don't have an ETA for the same, but we believe that it'll arrive sooner rather than later. After all, they'd want to continue the momentum of the game and attract some players to take on the likes of PUBG Mobile and Fortnite. © Respawn EA didn't confirm whether it's planning to bring the game to both Android or iOS, but we assume the game will arrive on both platforms. It is, however, worth pointing out that the game may arrive first on iOS before making its way to Android. Given the success of Fortnite and PUBG Mobile on mobile platforms, it only makes to sense bring the game to both platforms. © Respawn Anyway, let's hope Apex Legends doesn't end up becoming a new found addiction for mobile gamers. Seriously, the last thing we want to see is people getting arrested for playing games. But let's face it, PUBG Mobile is going to have some serious competition because a lot of playing ditched PUBG to play Apex Legends when it arrived on PC and consoles earlier this year. 4. It's almost time for one of the biggest launches of the year and there's now a new leak which has nothing to do with the phone. Instead, we get to see everything that will be launching alongside the new OnePlus smartphones. The leaked images look more like the reviewer's box which includes everything from the smartphone to the accessories. © Twitter_Ishan Agarwal The leaked image gives us a glimpse of everything else OnePlus is planning to launch. At first glance, you see the OnePlus Wireless Bullets 2 which is rumoured to be a triple-driver Bluetooth earphone similar to what 1MORE makes. Apart from the wireless OnePlus bullets, the Chinese company is also looking to launch a Warp Charge 30 car charger. © Twitter_Linus Tech Tips The OnePlus 7 Pro also reveals that the in-car charger will be based on the Warp Charge 30 charger that was introduced with the McLaren edition of the OnePlus 6T. This also kind of confirms that the wall charger will be the same as the McLaren edition as well. © Twitter_Ishan Agarwal The leak of the images came from an accidental tweet by Linus Tech Tips and more were shared by Ishan Agarwal on Twitter. The images shared by Mr Agarwal show more details about the packaging; however, the actual device has not been pictured yet. The packaging has the 'Go Beyond Speed' tagline we've seen in previous rumours. However, the accessories in the box are what impressed us the most and we can't wait to check them out ourselves.
  5. In case you missed the news, Disney announced its streaming service in the US last week called Disney+. It'll have content from Disney Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, National Geographic, to name a few. Yes, that includes all the Marvel superhero and Star Wars movies. As expected, Disney+ is not coming to India, however, Disney will route all the original content created for Disney+ along with its movie library to Indian audiences through Hotstar. That's right, Hotstar in India will host all the Disney+ content, and it's also planning to localize Disney+ movies and shows by dubbing, or by adding subtitles in Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. © Disney Disney's plan to route the Disney+ content instead of launching a separate streaming service does seem like the logical thing to do. Hotstar, a streaming service owned by Star India, is a part of Walt Disney Group after all. Also, Hotstar has over 300 million active users in India, so yes, Hotstar clearly has a wide reach. It's also worth pointing out that Hotstar already hosts content from other services like ESPN and Hulu. That said, India will now be the only market in the world where content from services such as Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+ will live under the same name. © Marvel Lastly, coming to the pricing, Star India is planning to continue with its current subscription plans. While, globally, Disney+ will be priced at $7, Hotstar plans to continue with its current subscription plans i.e. Rs. 299 per month and Rs. 999 per year.
  6. Siddhant Chaturvedi was introduced to us as MC Sher in 'Gully Boy' this year. After a power-packed performance in 'Gully Boy', Chaturvedi is the next big thing that has happened to Bollywood. Not only did MC Sher charm us with his performance and made us believe in the genuinely talented guy who was more than willing to help Murad through his journey of becoming a rapper, but we also loved his sense of style and the way he strutted like a boss in the song 'Sher Aaya Sher'. And it's fascinating to watch a first-timer in mainstream movies garner so much attention with just one film. Siddhant Chaturvedi has recently started getting a lot of projects including that of advertisement series with Tata Harrier. At the 12th IPL, Tata Motors announced a 'Mini-Series' a unique TV campaign themed 'Love At First Drive'. This features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Fatima Sana Sheikh. Here are four parts of the series that are already out. Take a look: and then there are more pictures, here's a peek: © Instagram/ Siddhant Chaturvedi © Instagram/ Siddhant Chaturvedi © Instagram/ Siddhant Chaturvedi © Instagram/ Siddhant Chaturvedi © Instagram/ Siddhant Chaturvedi © Instagram/ Siddhant Chaturvedi We can't wait to see more parts of this series because we clearly can't get enough of Siddhant.
  7. The biggest movie and possibly one of the biggest battle royale titles are about to collide once again, just in time for Avengers Endgame. Yes, it appears that 'Fortnite X Avengers' limited time mode from last year is going to be back. Epic hasn't officially announced the return of the mode yet, but as always, data miners have found some solid clues in the latest patch, pointing to the return of Thanos. © Epic Games Dataminer 'Skin-Tracker' has discovered a new kill feed message with the string “Yielded to the POWER of Thanos.” Apparently, there are more references to ice fiends and unleashing an "inferno" of some kind. New Kill Feed messages (1st image) and new Death Feed messages (2nd image) "unleashed an inferno on" sounds interesting...#fortnite pic.twitter.com/ROZnzTfLXo — Skin-Tracker (@SkinTrackerCom) April 10, 2019 The new kill feed also includes a message about being “zapped out of the sky”. What does that mean? Well, it's not entirely clear, but it sounds like a kick-ass weapon, which we simply can't wait to try. But that's all the info we about the return of this crossover event for now. It'll be interesting to see if Epic has made any changes to the LTM itself. Not like Thanos needs any new abilities, but it'll be interesting to something new. Anyway, we'll find out very soon.
  8. If you love to run on the streets or on the road and can do that only in the evenings due to our shitty weather or hectic work schedules, there's a sneaker especially for you. Often when running in the night, you're concerned about safety or enough lighting to get noticed by oncoming traffic. The answer to these concerns came to us way back in the 1980s and Adidas is bringing back the retro-styled sneaker to India. © Adidas The sneakers are ideal for runners who prefer a soft mesh knot and a lightweight ripstop that is essential in a running sneaker. These sneakers are specifically designed for night running as it has a hi0vis reflective body much you get to see on safety jackets on construction workers. It automatically catches the light from oncoming traffic's headlights or streetlights keeping the runner safe from accidents. You can find this reflective detailing on the laces, stripes, and other key strategic points. When it comes to the kicks, it's a hybrid of modern sneaker design with 80s aesthetics that make the sneakers perfect for running. It has a cushioned sole that keeps the overall experience comfortable and follows a chassis similar to the Ultra Boosts. It's got the right amount of width and roundness that may have been a borrowed design from Yeezys. © Adidas When it comes to breathability, the mesh and nylon ripstop makes it one of the more ultra lightweight sneakers you can find out there. The Adidas Nite Jogger will available to buy for Indian customers from 11th April 2019 with a price tag of Rs 12,999. These kicks will be available across all Adidas Original retail stores and the official website.
  9. It takes more than mere skills to face the camera and enact a scene based on a narration and some lines peeking at you from between the white sheets of paper dabbed in black ink. It takes more than a few years of training at a film school, or the sweat and tears you expend backstage for every play that's presented in the theatres. There is a lot more that goes into the making of an actor. The talent and skills are but mere prerequisites in this line of work. So even before the cameras start rolling and the call to action is barked, it is an actor's struggles, continuous reinvention and unceasing passion for the craft that makes an actor, one who is worthy of spending our precious three hours over. © Instagram Irrfan Khan undoubtedly tops the list when it comes to actors who are worth every single 'paisa' of our money, and every minute of our time that we spend watching him spill his magic on-screen. Irrfan's journey in the Hindi film industry is a psychedelic, riveting montage of the many characters he portrayed to perfection throughout an acting career spans over 30 long years! From a meager role of a letter writer in Mira Nair's 'Salaam Bombay!' in 1988, to playing a jilted husband with a streak of wickedness about him Abhinay Deo's 'Blackmail' (2018), Irrfan's journey in Bollywood has almost all the shades of the colour (read acting) palette to his credit. © Instagram The big guns of the industry lost a bit of their sheen against the glory of this actor who persistently worked his way up the ladder. From often being a comic relief or kept at the sidelines as a prop to the larger storyline, he made his own path with titles such as 'Haasil', 'Maqbool', 'Life In A Metro' and 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' under his belt. However, it would be the 2012 release 'Paan Singh Tomar' that would finally bring Irrfan Khan his due in the Bollywood industry. Every actor and directed stopped and took notice of the actor who brought soldier-turned-bandit Paan Singh Tomar to life on the silver screen. © Instagram Soon enough people fell in love with this ruggedly handsome man, raw around the edges and bearing a sheepish smile, who was running his own race. The dark horse was finally here, and people simply couldn't get enough of the underdog making it to the “elite” category. 'The Lunchbox' was another massive win for the terrific actor, followed by marvels such as 'Qissa', 'Piku' 'Talvar', 'Madaari', 'Hindi Medium', and 'Qarib Qarib Singlle' that allowed us to witness and appreciate the actor who was changing the face of Hindi cinema one film at a time. © Instagram The wheels of fortune turned for Irrfan and this time it was not just Bollywood, but Hollywood too that wanted more of him on-screen. Hollywood had found the modern day actor for all things Indian. However, the roles Irrfan was being offered were not average, with limited screen presence like his predecessors. Irrfan bagged diverse, meaty roles in big Hollywood films such as 'The Warrior', 'Namesake', 'Jurassic World' 'Life of Pi' and 'The Inferno'. Now they say, with all the good comes a little of the bad, and the same came true for Irrfan. Last year in March, Irrfan announced that he had been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour and left for London soon after to undergo treatment for his condition. © Instagram All through his treatment the actor kept his fans and well-wishers updated about his condition and the progress he had made with the treatment. The past year was also the time when Irrfan had the time to introspect and come to terms with the bigger truth of life. Irrfan not only accepted the vulnerability of human life, but he was also vocal about the fact that at the end of the day we are nothing but human beings on this journey called life. © Instagram After a length of a long, arduous year, the 'Karwaan' actor officially announced that he is back in the game after kicking cancer to the curb - stronger than ever, and grateful for a second chance at life. He took to Twitter and shared that, “Maybe somewhere in the pursuit of winning, we forget how much it means to be loved. In our vulnerability, we are reminded. As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support, it soothed me in my process of healing. So I travel back to you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart.” © Instagram The picture that accompanied this post warmed our hearts, and we are equally thankful to get one of our best back. All of us are looking for his next film to hit the screens ASAP, and for now it seems there won't be a long wait. Irrfan's journey is proof that once a winner, always a winner.
  10. We got to check out Huawei's first foldable smartphone and the Chinese company has confirmed that it will launch in India later this year. The Mate X unfolds and transforms a 6.6“ full screen to an eight-inch tablet, that essentially doubles the viewing area. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Huawei Mate X is also 5G ready and has massive 4,500 battery capacity that can be charged with a supplied 55W charger. The display is essentially an 8-inch OLED display that basically folds at the centre and becomes a smaller smartphone with a screen on the back and the front. It's sturdy and has a very comfortable form factor that makes it practical and easy to use. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Commenting on the India availability, Mr Wally Yang, Senior Product Marketing Director, Huawei Consumer Business Group said, “India is an important market for us and we have been consistently investing and expanding our footprint in the market. We are focused on delivering the user experiences that defines the future of smartphone in the smart era. The unveiling of the Huawei Mate X was the first key for consumers to open the door to 5G smart living. As the leader of the 5G era, we are bringing an inspired, intelligent experience to global consumers in every aspect of their lives. We want our customers here to witness Huawei's global 5G technological strength, and experience this technology marvel.” © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Huawei Mate X runs on the Balong 5000 chipset, which is able to support 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G with a single chip. It is capable of downloading at speed of 4.6Gbps in Sub-6GHz (low-frequency band, 5G main frequency band). When it comes to processing power, the Mate X is powered by the Kirin 980 chipset. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla For more information on the Huawei Mate X and how it fares against the Samsung Fold, you can read all about it here.
  11. 'Call of Duty' publisher Activision is teaming up with Tencent Timi Studio to bring its massively popular first-person shooter franchise 'Call of Duty' to Android and iOS. The game will simply be called 'Call of Duty: Mobile'. 'Call of Duty: Mobile' is a free-to-play multiplayer title which draws inspiration from some of the popular 'Call of Duty' titles like Modern Warfare and Black Ops. Here, watch the trailer - Activision has also promised that the game will have competitive multiplayer modes from the original franchise including Search and Destroy and Free-For-All. Additionally, the game will also have series staple maps like Nuketown, Crash, and Hijacked. Also, much like the other 'Call of Duty' games, the 'Call of Duty: Mobile' players will also earn and unlock classic 'Call of Duty' characters, weapons, scorestreaks, and more. The trailer also teases some other multiplayer modes, maps, and character customization, so be sure to check it out. Commenting on the release, Activision VP of mobile Chris Plummer said, “Together with the amazing team at Tencent, we're bringing together a collection of the most beloved maps, competitive modes, familiar characters, and signature weapons from across this storied franchise into one epic experience for the first time on mobile.” © Call of Duty In case you're just as excited as we are about this game, you can head over to the game's official website and sign up to be the first one to get notified about its launch. We still don't have an official release date yet, but a public beta is coming this summer, so stay tuned for more info.
  12. Samsung launched the company's latest flagship devices for India, however, many users were also interested to know more about the Galaxy Fold. The foldable smartphone is expected to go on sale in April and it seems like there will only be limited units available for purchase. The foldable smartphone's India availability remained a mystery, however, the company has now confirmed that the 'Galaxy Fold' will come to India. © YouTube/Samsung Speaking to select journalists, Dj Koh, President and CEO of Samsung's IT and Mobile Communications Division said that the Galaxy Fold will launch in India, without revealing any more details. “Indian market is, I clearly said, most important market — not only investment and everything, my long-term commitment is towards the market. In this market, why will I not deliver my newest technology innovation? Yes, I will do,” Koh said to Gagets360 in an interview. Samsung has not revealed the exact launch date of the smartphone, however, reports suggest that it could launch sometime in May. There's a good chance that the Galaxy Fold will be more expensive in India as it may not be manufactured here. Koh confirmed that Samsung would like to manufacture the phone in India, to keep the costs low. "Because of taxes, we must make it in India, to sell in India," he added Samsung is also working with Indian telecom companies for a smooth roll-out of 5G smartphones. There's a good chance that Samsung may launch the 5G version of the Galaxy S10 when it deems fit. India is already a very important market for Samsung as the company has already set up the world's biggest manufacturing plant in India. Some of Galaxy S10's camera features were also developed in India thanks to the company's R&D team in Bengaluru. © YouTube/Samsung It's awesome to see Samsung launch the Galaxy Fold in India, however, it would be prudent for the company to keep a realistic price. Having said that, the Galaxy Fold is going to be the company's most premium device and will demand a hefty price tag. It already carries a price tag of $1980 (approx Rs. 1,40,000) and is expected to cost even more in India. Source: Gadgets360
  13. There's probably not a single person in the country right now who doesn't know the simmering tensions between India and Pakistan, which are at an all-time high right now. The recent turbulence started with the deadly Pulwama terror attack on 14th February and then escalated after India's air strike on a JeM terror camp in Pakistan on 26th February. Amid all this turbulence and rash cries for a possible confrontation, a lot of people from both countries have come together to call for peace and got the hashtag #SayNoToWar trending on Twitter. This hashtag started yesterday, but right now, it's much more important after Pakistan announced that it is releasing captured IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow as a 'gesture of peace'. #SayNoToWar is not cowardice. The father of the nation was opposed to any war and he certainly was no coward. In fact he was one of the bravest that humanity has ever seen. 14. It's February right now and there are two kinds of people here—the first category which is waiting for Valentine's Day and the other happy category which is only awaiting the arrival of Winter in April when the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' drops. While we have been hanging on a cliff-hanger since the epic finale of the last season dawned upon us, the wait keeps getting harder since 2018 was a no-show for 'GOT' lovers. The makers have promised that the wait will be worth it, so I guess we have to trust them. However, to announce that the winter is truly arriving soon, the makers have shared some new pictures from the final season. 15. If you've enjoyed the Netflix original Indian series 'Scared Games', then I am sure you'd be happy to know that the pop-culture induced show will be back again for season 2. The show will definitely be packaged brand new, while the crew has decided to shoot in foreign shores for the second instalment. © Netflix The show will be concluded in Africa and we hear co-star Saif Ali Khan just finished shooting in Mumbai, while Nawazuddin had a long shoot schedule in Africa. We're hearing all sorts of stories about the show and the shoot, but the best one so far is Nawazuddin teasing the fans of 'Sacred Games' claiming the second season of the hit Netflix series will be the 'baap' of season one! “This season will be the baap of the first one. Even if people know Ganesh Gaitonde, they won't know what to expect from him. We shot extensively across Mombasa, Cape Town and Johannesburg,” - Nawaz told a popular entertainment weekly. © Netflix In the series, Nawazuddin plays the character of Ganesh Gaitonde, a gangster who is trying to trace his origins, while Saif, in a parallel plot plays Sartaj Singh, a cop who is trying to save Mumbai from an impending attack. Gaitonde was killed in the first episode of season one and the story is a narration of his past in a flashback. Season two. However, there will be more depth in his character, as the story will unfold his life further, unfolding nuances of his relationship with 'Guruji', played by Pankaj Tipathi, who was shooting in Africa for season two as well. As the show moves ahead with its plot, Vikramaditya Motwane will step down as the co-director for season two and the reigns will be given to Neeraj Ghaywan who directed 'Masaan', with Anurag Kashyap. Nawaz and Anurag have created some good history together and they'll be seen joining forces once again in 'Sacred Games'. “When Anurag is working with me, he is constantly pushing me to break my own boundaries. It comes from familiarity and my ability to go on a roller coaster with him. As an actor, I am someone who enjoys twirling myself up.” Nawaz told a popular entertainment weekly. © Netflix Nawaz didn't realise earlier how phenomenally hit the show was as he wasn't tracking its success on Netflix, where it was originally aired, neither did he know about how many people were watching it, not just in India, but in the western world too. In fact when he was shooting in Rome, he was caught off guard by a few people who recognised him and wanted to click pictures with him. “I realised the impact of the show when I was shooting in Rome, a week after its release. People came up to me to click pictures. My team would show me the memes that were doing the rounds on the Internet.” © Netflix We really hope season two is way more tight and interesting and really does turn out to be the 'baap' of season 1!
  16. We all, as adults, at some point, move out of our parents' house. People who are living alone will understand how stressful it gets when your parents announce their annual and sometimes sudden visit. From fake office trips to a friend's wedding to what not, people have often come up with interesting excuses to stop their parents from coming home. But, what is the wildest thing you've done to stop them? Whatever it is, it cannot top this 23-year-old guy from France who made a hoax bomb threat, just because he didn't want his parents to come home. Pexels This student's parents were coming to see him, in a flight from Lyon to Rennes in France. Reportedly, he anonymously made a hoax call regarding the bomb, which caused the flight to turn around shortly after the take-off. His parents boarded the EasyJet flight, EZY4319 on January 18. Wikimedia The public prosecutor of Rennes said in a statement, "the author of the facts has been identified." The dude has been held in custody and charged with "false news compromising the safety of an aircraft in flight." If the guy is prosecuted, he could end up facing up to five years in jail and might get slapped with a fine of 75,000 euro (Rs. 60 lakh approx.) Pexels Seriously, what was he hiding in his house or what could have possibly happened between him and his parents that he took this extreme step to stop them?
  17. The Galaxy S10+ is expected to launch soon. However, we've previously seen various leaks and renders that suggested its design. It was rumoured to have a large Infinity-O display with a wide cutout for front-facing cameras. The cut out was in the shape of a pill that suggested it would sport a dual front-facing camera setup. It seems like the rumours may have been true all along as it was spotted in the wild and we finally have a real-life image. © Slashleaks The image was posted on Slashleaks where the alleged smartphone was being used in a bus. The image is not as sharp as we would like it but it still gives away quite a few details. We can see on the top right corner of the screen where the pill-shaped dual camera setup is present. The bezels have also been reduced considerably as we can see the display covers most of the front. © Twitter/VenyaGeskin1 We've already seen a punch-hole design on the Honor View 20; however, it would be interesting to see if Samsung's front-facing camera actually works in the favour of the user. It could be a bit more intrusive. However, we can only know that once we use the device for ourselves. Previous rumours have suggested that the Galaxy S10 and S10 E will have a similar punch-hole camera setup as renders have shown a smaller cutout. The Galaxy S10+ is also said to have a 4,000 mAh battery just like the Galaxy Note 9. © Twitter/Evan Blass The launch date for these phones have already been confirmed and will launch on February 20th in San Francisco. The company has decided to skip the Mobile World Conference and it is unlikely that we will see any other major announcements from the South Korean giant that week. It's not the first time Samsung has skipped the conference, as in 2017, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S8 at a separate event in March. The smartphones are also rumoured to have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack. If you want to know more about the upcoming smartphones you can always check out our previous coverage here. Samsung is also expected to launch the first 5G phone alongside the Galaxy S10 and is expected to have souped-up specifications as well. You can read all about Samsung's 5G phone here.
  18. In December 2009, when James Cameron's 'Avatar' hit theatres, it smashed all previous grossing records. Till date, this science-fiction holds the record for being the world's highest grossing movie of all time. The film took 15 years for completion and also made James Cameron one of the greatest film-makers of all time. © Lightstorm Entertainment The director had once told Discovery that he sat down in 1995 to write a film that would push the CG art! And so it did. 'Avatar' redefined modern film-making and set benchmarks for world cinema. It gave the audience a completely new perspective about the modern-day filmography. © Lightstorm Entertainment Years later, when moviegoers have got their hands onto the IMAX and 5D experience of movie viewing, all they crave for is newness with every single film they watch. In times, when we have got the best from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and especially when fans have gotten deeply used to watching the next versions of their superheroes with every passing year, what should one expect from James Cameron's upcoming 'Avatar 2'? Almost a decade later, are fans still waiting for the film's sequel? Read below to understand more. Well, let us tell you that James Cameron's team is working day and night to bring the unseen from the world of Pandora on the silver screen back again. The franchise makers are taking their time as they have plans to make 'Avatar 2' a much grander experience than its previous instalment. The maestro recently dropped a major announcement saying that actors have wrapped up their shoot for the upcoming sequels i.e 'Avatar 2' and 'Avatar 3'. The cast of these sequels include actors Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Matt Gerald, and Sigourney Weaver. Academy Award winner Kate Winslet is the newest addition to the cast. Though we were only expecting 'Avatar 2' to be under production, the announcement of the third part of the film happened to be a complete surprise. The principal photography of these two films has been completed; the actors have been working over the same for the past two years. Now, the toughest part of the production process has just begun for James Cameron's team. For the same, the director will now sit with experts to look after the CGI and other technical aspects. © YouTube/Discovery The stakes are already too high on these sequels and the production team would not leave any stones unturned, considering the previous records set by the film. 20th Century Fox and Lightstorm have already announced the release dates of the two films. 'Avatar 2' will be releasing on December 18, 2020, whereas 'Avatar 3' will hit the theatres on December 17, 2021. That's not all to it! Academy Award winner Kate Winslet, who has worked earlier with James Cameron in his iconic film 'Titanic', did a very tough training for a few scenes in the film. © Pinterest Free-diver Kirk Krach (a world champion) was hired as an underwater instructor by the film's team. From him, Kate Winslet learned to hold her breath underwater and nailed it by holding it for more than seven minutes. Apparently, the actress visibly turned blue! That's so Pandoran! Now, this is a sure shot reason why one must look forward to the film's sequels. It is time to sit back, wait for the film and thank the director for finally giving wings to 'Avatar 2' and 'Avatar 3'. It is better late than never!

  20. PUBG, more specifically the 'PUBG Mobile', is the most popular game on the planet and has gathered quite some steam in India. A new update that was released for the PC version of the game introduced a new map called Vikendi. The new map is covered with snow where players can track each other in the snow. © YouTube The new map is now coming to PUBG Mobile with some of the features. For example, the green ghillie suit has now been replaced with a similar outfit but is completely white. This will let users blend in with the snow environment to get an added advantage over enemies. The feature to track enemies may not be able to make it on the Mobile version as it is graphics intensive and requires a lot of juice which smartphones lack. The new map will also have snowmobiles for users to traverse the environments and also introduce new weapons. © YouTube PUBG mobile servers will not be active today as Tencent will be applying the new update and the new map to its servers from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm IST. The new update will also provide rewards for players who update their games before 25th December. Tencent will be giving away Outfit Box III and 1,888 BP points for users who will update the game before the above-mentioned date. © PUBG The new map will be available from the main menu and PUBG mobile will also get a new snow theme. New important features now include giving users the ability to report suspicious behaviour while spectating after dying. PUBG Mobile's new version will also get added Season spending rewards and added Firearms Finish Upgrade system.
  21. Which instant messaging app or service do you actively use? Your answer will definitely include WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Hike, or Skype. Now, can you send a message from WhatsApp to a contact on Hike? No, you can't. These apps have their own protocols for data transfer and services work inside their own bubble only. RCS (Rich Communications Services) is a new protocol that is meant to replace SMS (Short Message Service). With SMS, you can send a text or compressed image to anyone via a mobile number. SMS is a standard protocol and hence supported by every other phone or OS. You can send SMS from an iPhone to an Android phone. Unlike third-party apps, these protocols are universal and hence easily usable. © Google SMS is an age-old standard and supports just 160 characters in each transfer. While everyone has shifted to third-party IMs, SMS is still very important because of its reliability. It doesn't require a separate internet connection and is dependent completely on the carrier or telecom operator. This reliability gives a very crucial edge to SMS. Now, RCS will soon be the de facto protocol for messages. Google is a primary backer of RCS and major telecom operators around the world are working on supporting it. Google is rolling out the new features afforded by RCS as "chat" and it's part of the existing Android Messages app - alongside SMS and MMS. © Google RCS is very similar to Apple's iMessage service. It's a more interactive protocol that allows you to start group chats, send video and audio messages, and send high-resolution images. You'll also be able to receive read receipts and even see when someone is replying to your message in real time. If a user on the other end does not support RCS, text messages are sent in as SMS. The same practice is also seen on iMessage, if the two users have an Apple device, the chat happens over iMessage, else via SMS. Instead of using a cellular connection, Chat will rely on your data connection. © GSMA Though, RCS service doesn't support end-to-end encryption, meaning messages exchanged through this new protocol are less secure than those sent and received via competitors like iMessage and Signal.
