Hachi Probably the only 'dog' movie I have ever been able to watch in my life because it is easy for me to watch humans die in a story but the pain of a dog is unfathomable for my soul. However, no dog deaths are involved in this but it explores the pious relationship your canine love shares with you. Please watch it when you need a hearty cry. 5. Room A young mother and her son are kept captive for years, and the mother fights hard for survival. A small movie that can leave a big impact on your heart and make you love things in life harder as you appreciate them. 6. Taare Zameen Par If the song 'Maa' was not enough, this movie can melt the strongest of hearts. A pair of axe-wielding thieves pulled off what might be the greatest art heist in decades, after breaking into one of Europe's most valuable vaults and escaping with treasures worth upwards of $1 billion. The heist took place at Grünes Gewölbe (The Green Vault), a museum in Dresden, Germany. Dresden has been a historical capital of culture and the arts for Germany, surviving through horrific bombings during World War 2 and retaining a legacy that has lasted since the early 1700s. It has since been used as a display venue for a collection of about 3,000 antique jewellery pieces, and many consider it to be one of the oldest and most valuable collections in the world. So How Did They Do It? At the heart of any good heist story is a good plan, and the people behind this theft were clearly well-prepared to deal with potential challenges. The plan was set into motion at 4am on a Monday morning, when the thieves set a controlled fire at Dresden's Augustus Bridge. © There has been a bridge at this very spot for nearly ten centuries - a testament to Dresden's rich culture. (Wikimedia) The fire was a carefully planned move to destroy a nearby power box. Once the unit failed, it cut off power to all security systems in the museum, except for the CCTV cameras. The stolen items include the diamond-laden breast star of the Polish Order of the White Eagle, a hat clasp with a 16-carat diamond, a diamond epaulet and a diamond-studded hilt containing nine large and 770 smaller diamonds, along with a matching scabbard. That's a lot of goddamn diamonds. According to German tabloid Bild, the jewels are worth around $1.1 billion, or nearly Rs 8,000 Crores. Marion Ackermann, General Director of Dresden's state art collections, said it was likely impossible to estimate the price of the stolen items due to their historic cultural value. The loot could have been even more ludicrous if the museum's 41-carat 'Dresden Green Diamond' wasn't on loan to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art - the incredibly rare gem was mined from Kollur in Andhra Pradesh some 300 years ago. The very popular comedy group AIB is a bag of controversies, and once against it is trending on social media for all the wrong reasons. AIB comedian and YouTuber Utsav Chakraborty has been accused of sending sexually explicit and obscene messages and texts to women, some of whom were minor. It all started with a Twitter thread, where a female comedian shared stories of several women, who claimed to have recieved explicit pictures from the comedian. In fact, he has been accused of asking women for nude pictures too. Instagram She wrote, "I want everyone to know @Wootsaw is a piece of sh*t. He sent me a d**k pic, was creepy, then cried saying I'll ruin his career if I tell others." She further mentioned that she told "two of the most influential men in comedy in India" but nothing happened. Saw this on my tl. Sanju (2018) © Rajkumar Hirani Films It is common knowledge that Sanjay Dutt has always shared a rocky relationship with his father for a number of reasons. Yet, Sanjay Dutt continued to regard his father as an almighty saviour. 'Sanju' beautifully captures all the bumps that marked their relationship, be it fighting against his father's opinions on his acting skills or not living by his father's ideologies. Yet, when life brought him to the edge, he turned to his father for help and Sunil Dutt continued to place his faith and hope on his son regardless of the shortcomings. 3. Mulk (2018) © Benaras Media Works This may not come across as an ideal father-son relationship but on a closer look, Bilaal Ali Mohammed's portrayal of Shahid's father significantly captures a father's innate essence. He depicts a father who places undying trust and faith on this son he has reared and would move mountains to protect and love. Bilaal continuously tried to bring Shahid back from devil's side and onto the path of repentance, but when he realises there remains no coming back for his son, he literally gives up on Shahid, thereby exhibiting a father's wrath in the truest sense. 4. Chef (2017) © T-Series 'Chef', the official Bollywood remake of the Hollywood movie by the same name, is the story of Roshan Kalra who is a Michelin star chef at New York's Gulli restaurant. Having gotten fired from his job, he has to come back home to his son and wife in Kochi. The trip helps Roshan to mend his relationships that had gone sour, especially his bond with his son. This story beautifully charts out how the duo reclaims and rediscovers their relationship, which ends up changing their lives and they set out on a culinary journey together. 5. Dear Dad (2016) © Peppermint Studios A coming of age movie in the truest sense, this one explores how a young son steps up to stand by his father's side, much against the inner conflict he faces. Based on a difficult subject, the story follows the son's battles of coming to terms with his father's sexuality. It truthfully showcases how testing situations can become when family becomes the one to hurt you and how you make peace with the reality of the situation. He (Ranbir) is also wearing the best streetwear out there, with only Ranveer Singh as the closest sartorial competition on the horizon. And while Ranveer thrives on shock value (he wore an Alexander Wang bathrobe at a recent event for Adidas), Ranbir's style is cleaner, more streamlined and expensive. Like this Gucci sweatshirt. Or this $200 sweatshirt from his airport style look yesterday. However, Ranbir's look at the special screening of 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' at PVR in Lower Parel made us question our love for fashion.
