  1. Do you guys remember the 2012 doomsday âcrisisâ? Not too long ago, doomsayers went on a pilgrimage across the internet, with ancient conspiracy theories and pseudoscience backing up their claims that the world would end in 2012. Not only was that entire, juicy Mayan calendar part of the picture, there was a literal film produced in the years leading up to 2012 - which, by the way, grossed shy of $800 million at the box office. The message is clear - humans, at least in the age of internet memes, enjoy a good bit of chaos every now and then. Set aside the fact that Coronavirus has claimed over 125 thousand patients (and Tom Hanks!) by now - the internet has made major headway using its primary coping tactic other than heated arguments over Twitter - a barrage of jokes, memes and the kind of dark humour thatâs defined an entire generation. One particular Spotify user by the name of Alistair Ryan took things up a notch earlier this week when his playlist began to grab attention on Twitter. The objective of the playlist? Have the best party possible through the epidemic - or die trying. So there's a COVID-19 Quarantine Playlist on Spotity and when I checked the songs I died. Jesus take the wheel Iâ ðð #CoronavirusPandemic pic.twitter.com/vA8a5SdmiK â Alphina (@maleedus) March 12, 2020 After asking whether the listener wants to âraid supermarket or notâ, the playlist kicks off guns blazing with Britney Spearsâ 2003 hit, Toxic - followed up by Futureâs chartbuster, Mask Off. The puns continue relentlessly through all 61 songs, ranging from the mildly titled Bad Disease by Alexandra Savior, to a punk track titled Senior Citizen Killing Spree. Itâs hilarious. As I write this, Ryan seems to have just added a new song - Lana Del Reyâs Born To Die. Thereâs classic hits like the Bee Geeâs Stayin Alive, Blink-182âs All The Small Things and even MC Hammerâs U Canât Touch This - all sandwiched between major current bangers like Travis Scottâs SICKO MODE and Jojiâs similarly capitalised hit, NO FUN. Twitter users scrambled over each other to recommend more songs - with an epidemic on the rise. And seems like the puns literally write themselves. So there's a COVID-19 Quarantine Playlist on Spotity and when I checked the songs I died. Jesus take the wheel Iâ ðð #CoronavirusPandemic pic.twitter.com/vA8a5SdmiK â Alphina (@maleedus) March 12, 2020 The playlist is actually pretty goddamn good, and whenâs the last time a collection of songs made you laugh? 2. We can call Varun Dhawan the most bankable B-town celebrity. A quick look at his style and you would see that he has the most-sought, fuss-free fashion game. Be it for the promotions or at the airport, Varun's wardrobe is what every guy would love to have too. We have to give to his stylists, Priyanka & Kazim AKA The Vainglorious who create every look with ease and total finesse. © Viral Bhayani The latest instance made us fall in love with his style a bit more. Varun slayed the casual outfit like never before as he was seen elevating his debonair with ripped shorts coupled with long black boots. He pulled it off quite effortlessly but wearing shorts with boots is unbelievably the best thing we have seen today. View this post on Instagram ðµHey-hey-hey-hey Beware of the Diamond Dogsðµ Tee - @Botter_Paris Shoes - @RepresentClo from @UJ_NG Sunglasses - @Balenciaga Assisted by @shradhapamnani @priyanka2.0 #VarunDhawan #BenjiAndKenzo #StreetDancer #Botter #Represent #Balenciaga #Bottermania #Wrestlemania #PunkRockOrBretHart #DavidBowie #DiamondDogs A post shared by Priyanka & Kazim (@the.vainglorious) on Jan 12, 2020 at 10:03pm PST © Viral Bhayani Shorts are a casual essential. In addition to that, a pair of long, patent leather boots can instantly change its appearance. It lends a unique aesthetic to any ensemble. You can easily dress up for any causal event since these boots are super versatile and fashionable. At first, boots and shorts combination might seem odd to you, but when you couple it with the right sort of colours, an ultra-stylish repertoire is just a step away! © Viral Bhayani One of the easiest ways to wear a pair of shorts would be with a T-shirt. Varun rather took an unconventional route and teamed the ripped shorts with a quirky graphic tee and layered it with a leather jacket. This is truly a masterstroke and adds more to the laid-back feel of this look. © Viral Bhayani At the moment, Varun is promoting his upcoming movie Street Dancer 3D starring Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva. It's all set to release on 24th January 2020. The overall ensemble has a sleek edge to it and is definitely a fail-safe way to team shorts and boots together. This is really well put, Varun. Kudos to you! View the full article
  3. Australia is going through a severe drought amidst the wildfires and a lot of people and animals are paying for the unfortunate circumstances there, losing both lives and property. Animals too have succumbed to their fate as more than 500 million animals have died due to these bushfires, and many more will be injured or dead, till these fires stop. In all this madness, Australia has decided to kill about 10,000 camels, and we really can't understand why! © Twitter Thousands of camels will be shot dead from helicopters, as a result of extreme heat and drought. While the bushfires have been on for a few months now, the culling isn't dependant on that. They're being culled because of the drought situation prevailing in Australia currently and there are complaints that camels are endangering locals as they desperately search for water. "They are roaming the streets looking for water. We are worried about the safety of the young children" - a woman named Marita Baker, who lives in the community of Kanypi, told the BBC in an interview. The five-day cull has already begun and a lot of aboriginals have complained about camels damaging towns and building trying to look for water. Australia has hired a professional marksman, who will shoot the animals, and ironically, he comes from Australia's department of environment and water. They will eventually be slaughtered in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) area, which is a sparsely-populated part of South Australia which is home to a number of indigenous groups. © Twitter "There is extreme pressure on remote Aboriginal communities in the APY lands and their pastoral [livestock] operations as the camels search for water," says APY's general manager Richard King in an interview with BBC. "Given ongoing dry conditions and the large camel congregations threatening all of the main APY communities and infrastructure, immediate camel control is needed," he added. Camels, though, don't originally belong to Australia and are not native species. They were brought to Australia by British settlers from India, Afghanistan and the Middle East. Although we're not sure how many camels have made Australia their home, more than a hundred thousand camels inhabit parts of central Australia. They're believed to cause havoc in farmlands by damaging fences and farm property and are also believed to drink excess water which is needed by people who live there. And apparently, they also emit methane, a greenhouse gas which contributes to climate change. But even so, are these reasons good enough to kill animals, regardless of how they behave or how much they consume? Well, if that's the case, humans should stand in line next, ready to be executed! © Twitter While camel culling is absolutely unfair in Australia, there is nothing much we can do about it, except just watch and wait. Australia has lost a phenomenal amount of wildlife and even after such devastation, they're ready to kill some more of their animals, which says a lot about how humans actually handle sensitive situations, which need a strong scientific approach to it. But Australia alone has a history of culling its animals due to various circumstances, which we can't seem to overlook. Around 1932, Australia literally went into war with emus while soldiers armed with Lewis Guns were killing emus as they were causing too much havoc and crop destruction. Before seal culling was banned in 2018, Australia was a big advocate for killing seals due to the increased interaction of the long-nosed fur seal. And recently in 2013, Australia was culling (shooting) kangaroos, as the population of 500 million kangaroos was becoming an erstwhile problem for the Aussies. They killed 90 million Kangaroos and wallabies, lawfully, for commercial purposes. © Twitter Seemingly, the only way Australia can handle a crisis amongst the wildlife is by taking extreme measures and this time, 10,000 camels are targeted for the same. We really hope and wish Australia and other nations find a more respectful way of solving a crisis, that does not involve the specie to give its life for it. View the full article
  4. Shah Rukh Khan is an inspiration to every person who wants to make it big in Bollywood. He's the King Khan and has reached that status without any nepotism whatsoever. Even star kids can't imagine having as successful a career as him. To put it simply, his life is a dream come true for anyone and he's fully aware of it. He was recently in Delhi for the closing ceremony of the India's first multiplex, PVR Anupam which has been shut for renovation. At the venue, SRK got nostalgic about Delhi and well, his words are the kind of motivation everyone needs in their life. "Some of the things that you don't think about will happen to you and they are the best things of life. You just don't know it yet," he said recollecting the inception of his journey. I don't want to show off but I'm genuinely a dream come true. I'm a lower-middle-class boy without his parents bound to the city of glamour and become a movie star. The world has showered me with their love. This happens only in dreams but I never thought of it. I haven't believed it, I am still that Delhi boy." Still so humble and down to earth - now that's how you become one of the most loved people in the world. He took a chance and it paid off (kind of an understatement but you get the point). And he's now encouraging everyone to always, always have faith in their dreams, because no one knows when it will become a reality. He also said he never sees himself as a 'star' in Delhi, "It bores me to be a star that way. I love my job and promise to everybody that as Ajay Bijli and Sanjeev Kumar Bijli keep on making cinema theatres, I'll keep on making movies to fill them." With so much 'dream talk', he also mentioned another dream he had - to own a theatre in a five-star hotel. He said, "This was the business I wanted to do, I didn't think I'll become a movie actor." Even SRK doubts himself, and that should make everyone feel so much better about themselves, tbh. He also talked about how much he hated seeing himself on the big screen for the first time. It was the 1992 film Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and talking about it, he recalled, "I found myself so ugly. I had such bad hair. I was doing such bad acting in front of Nana Patekar, Amrita Singh and Juhi Chawla." He went on to add, "I took the late 4.15 am flight ticket that our producers used to get for us at 25 per cent off and went to the airport, thinking I can't work in films. Aziz and Juhi convinced me that it's not that bad. The final cut would be better. Just like Ajay Bijli lied and got Yes Boss to play at this theatre, those two lied to me. I never looked better, I looked just the same." © Dharama Productions Then, he moved on to reminiscing about Delhi, because even though he doesn't live here, he's still a Delhi boy out and out. He said, "I used to roam around on the roads like guys do... My wife Gauri used to live here in Panchsheel. I have roamed around this place a lot to impress her. When I had to really woo her, I borrowed my uncle's Vespa. I remember initially one of the big things for me was 'Main Dilliwala hoon, dilwala hoon'." I love how SRK was literally like every Delhi boy ever at one point in life, that's honestly very refreshing to see. Now, with Diwali upon us, he soon has to get back to Mumbai for some family time, but he knows that "the way Dussehra, Diwali and Holi are celebrated in Delhi, they aren't celebrated anywhere else." Lastly, the biggest tie he has with Delhi is his parents, of course. Their resting place is here and getting nostalgic about the same, SRK said, "Whenever I sit in a plane from Mumbai to come to Delhi, I have one thought in my heart that my mom and dad are here. I visit them in their graveyard late at night. When they say I've become a Mumbai person, I don't know how to express it... But as much as I can leave Delhi, Delhi can't leave me because my parents are here."
  5. Everyone knows who Jeff Bezos is, right? One of the richest men in the world, Amazon CEO, a really big deal? Well, turns out, some people have no clue. Bezos' recent visit to a company-funded computer science class at Dunbar High School in Washington, DC and his interaction with the students there, has now gone viral on the internet. In the video, Bezos is seen talking to the students about Amazon's 'Future Engineer Programmes' which funds the students for courses around the US and while this was happening, a student was seen asking, "who's Jeff Bezos?" twice to another student who was sitting right behind him. Jeff Bezos may be one of the most well-known CEOs in the world, but for this kid, he is just another man. The video was posted by NBC Washington's Caroline Tucker and she tweeted, “This morning @amazon is at Dunbar High School in DC to announce a milestone in its Future Engineer Program. They had a surprise guest... Jeff Bezos. Watch the full video here- This morning @amazon is at Dunbar High School in DC to announce a milestone in its Future Engineer Program. When the teenager got to know that Bezos is the CEO of one of the largest companies in the world, he turned around saying, “Big deal, so what?” Umm...okay! We all want to attain the level of chill this kid has. Caroline Tucker also wrote, “The young man in the class ended up being the only one who spoke to Jeff Bezos about how much he has learned about coding. Later on, he told me he wanted to “seize” the opportunity to talk to the CEO.” FYI...the young man in the class ended up being the only one who spoke to Jeff Bezos about how much he has learned about coding. Here's what the netizens have to say about it- If he's not an Instagram "influencer" how will the kids know about him? Maybe we need a shot of @JeffBezos on the beach in a bikini for the kids to show interest — Tony Singh (@singhton) October 21, 2019 Human... I think the bigger issue is with the education system. Why aren't kids being inspired to be the next Jeff Bezo — Mary Oliver (@MaryOli16643592) October 22, 2019 People is judging the kid, but he is there to learn and maybe high-tech celebrities are not on his wish list. — Julio Acevedo (@Juliomace23) October 22, 2019 Bezos, who owns the Washington Post, is the richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of despite a huge divorce settlement with ex-wife MacKenzie Bezos worth $35.6 billion in Amazon stock -- making her one of the top five richest women in the world and one of Amazon's largest shareholders. Bezos has an estimated net worth of $110 billion, do we really need to say more? So, in case you don't know who Jeff Bezos is, it's time you Google him.
  6. The world of sports is not new to rivalries between participating nations. The political standoffs and cross-border tensions over the years, has placed India and Pakistan at loggerheads. The intense rivalry between the neighbouring countries has also transcended into sports which makes their meetings across sports a scintillating affair. Just like India and Pakistan, North and South Korea share a rivalry, whose seeds were sown back in the closing days of the second World War. A struggle for power and control of a devastated Korea saw two antagonistic states, which would later become separate countries of the Republic of Korea and South Korea, emerging with diametrically opposed political, economic and social systems. A three-year Korean War ensued, claiming the lives of over three million civilians and soldiers before leaving the two nations devastated. Since then, the two rival nations have been involved in a military standoff with periodic clashes. Owing to their political differences, the two countries have rarely faced off against each other in the world of sports. © Twitter But, despite their fierce rivalry, the two nations, as members of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation, can be drawn against each other in international football competitions - something that pitted them against each other on the pitch recently. It's not too rare for the two sides to face off, but almost unheard of to play in North Korea's capital Pyongyang which has hosted the unique clash just once, in 1990. And, the last time the two sides met in a World Cup qualifier, in Seoul 10 years ago, North lost 1-0 before accusing South Korea of poisoning their players' food ahead of the match. © Twitter While sports partly broke the ice after some progress in 2018, the ties between North and South Korea are at a low which probably explains why their clash on recent clash was strange. In what turned out to be the weirdest World Cup qualifier in ages, the much-anticipated match was played with no fans, no media and, sadly, no goals. â North Korea vs South Korea â First match in the North in almost three decades ð Attendance: 0 â½ Result: 0-0https://t.co/Z5ZcoRupdb — Twitter Moments (@TwitterMoments) October 16, 2019 With popular stars like Son Heung-min (South Korea's No. 7) and Han Kwang Song (North Korea's No. 7), who play for Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus respectively, on display, the entire match was a closed event with no live broadcast, robbing the fans of the two countries the chance to watch their teams in action. And, the fact that North Korea has promised to provide footage of the match on DVD pretty much sums up the strangest football clash. © Twitter "We would need time for technical checks but despite some delays our people will be able to watch the game," a South Korean unification ministry official was quoted as saying by The Guardian on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue. If no one is there to watch did it even happen? 𤠗 stephanie (@honesteph) October 15, 2019 Before this match, two earlier qualifiers that had been scheduled for North Korea had to be switched to Shanghai after Pyongyang refused to raise the South's flag or play its anthem in the stadium. While many Korean football fans missed the opportunity of watching their respective teams in action, they'd be hopeful of better luck when North Korean football team travels to South for their away match in June next year. While the Korean War ended in 1953 with an armistice after the intervention of the United Nations, North and South Korea are, technically, still at war as the two countries reached a truce, but are yet to sign a peace treaty - whose effects are quite visibly hampering sports in the two countries.
  7. In an act of humanity, a Dubai-based Indian businessman bought one-way flight tickets for 13 prisoners facing deportation, to help them to fly back home. The prisoners, reportedly from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uganda, Afghanistan, Nigeria, China, and Ethiopia, were released on Monday as they had completed their jail term but didn't have the money to buy flight tickets to go back home. Joginder Singh Salaria, the Chairman and Managing Director of Pehal International Transport and founder of Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT Humanity) told Khaleej Times, “Unfortunately, the men could not afford to pay for the air tickets. Dubai Police works with PCT Humanity on several charitable activities, including blood donation campaigns. Now, we are providing travel assistance to 13 people from different countries so they can fly home to meet with their families. © Twitter He also said, “Police authorities provided us with a list of names of prisoners. Most of the convicts were jailed for committing minor crimes such as overstay cases and small disputes with their employers. They did not have anyone to help them out,” The Dubai Police was also very supportive and cooperative in this initiative. Salaria has also installed over 60 hand pumps in the poverty-stricken district of Pakistan's southeastern Sindh province. We need more people like Joginder Singh Salaria who do good for mankind.
  8. The next launch of a brand new iPhone is a few months away but a new patent has popped up that may give us a hint about a new feature. Ever since iPhone X was announced, Apple phased out the Touch ID biometric system in favour for an edge-to-edge design. We still got to see the feature on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. However, it was later replaced by FaceID on the iPhone XR. © Apple The iPhone XS and XS Max uses the same FaceID unlock system as its predecessor but a notable feature was missing. It seems like Apple is now looking to bring back TouchID according to the patent. The Cupertino giant is developing a fingerprint sensor that lets users unlock the smartphone by touching anywhere on the screen. The patent was granted to Apple earlier this week and was spotted by Patently Apple. © Patently Apple It would be a cool new feature if seen on the upcoming iPhone 11 and we have something similar to Apple's version developed by Vivo for a concept phone. The patent calls Apple's version as an "acoustic imaging system”. Another weird feature spotted in the same patent was the new sensor's ability to map a user's ear. The system would simply map your ear and unlock the smartphone for seamless call answering and other features. As usual, patents don't really translate to a final product every time and we would not keep our hopes high until its fully revealed or made official by Apple. We sincerely hope this feature does come to the iPhone 11 as many users still prefer to unlock smartphones with a fingerprint or at least want the option. Source: Patently Apple
  9. Finally, the wait for 'Game of Thrones' season 8 premiere is over and most of us have already witnessed what goes on ahead in the series. If you haven't seen the episode yet (and I wonder why), then let me warn you this article contains heavy spoilers and you may want to consider reading it. The first episode of season 8 has everything elemental. From Jon Snow's return home, with the queen by his side, to infamous dragon rides across Winterfell, everything was placed in a manner that was in accordance from one revelation to another. The revelations made may have been small in gravity for now, but they were very impactful to further build the story and the characters. © HBO The most obvious element of episode 1 were the string of dysfunctional family reunions that took place, once Jon entered Winterfell with his troop. Some were very overwhelming (like imagine seeing your brother after seven years), while some were just oddly strange. Here's a list of the most looked-forward to reunions in season 8, episode 1 of 'Game of Thrones'. (1) Jon Snow & Arya Stark © HBO This was one of the most overwhelming parts of the episode, at least for me. When Jon was standing in front of the Weirwood tree, Arya sneaked up from behind and gave him a hug. It hits you the most when you realise the last time the two saw each other. It was before Jon left for the wall and handed Arya her sword, Needle. This time around when he noticed Needle on her, he asked her if she's ever used it and she said 'once or twice'. Well, it's only time till Jon finds out how many times Arya has actually used Needle. (2) Jon Snow & Bran Stark © HBO Jon and Bran last met before Jon left for the wall and at the time Bran was on bed rest, recovering from his fatal fall. Jon wasn't allowed to spend sufficient time with him before leaving as his mother, Catelyn Stark didn't allow Jon the time. So you can only imagine the emotion that went into this reunion! When Jon saw Bran, he went straight for his forehead to kiss it but realised the reunion was stunted considering Bran is now the Three-Eyed-Raven. Even so, we could see Bran was happy to see Jon and also shared his fair warning about the White-Walkers marching to Winterfell. (3) Arya Stark & Gendry © HBO The last time the two were seen together in season 3 were when they joined the 'Brotherhood', before Gendry was taken by Melisandre to Stannis Baratheon. But this reunion was playful and flirtatious and both seemed rather content and happy to find each other alive. Arya also asked Gendry to make a weapon for her and I think it's the most romantic thing an assassin can ask her crush to make, especially if he happens to be a blacksmith. We're not sure yet what the weapon entails but we do know it has two pointy-ends, according to the design Arya handed over to Gendry. According to GoT's weapon master, Tommy Dunne, there's one creation in season 8, which is an absolute showstopper and I wonder if it's the weapon Gendry makes for Arya. (4) Arya Stark & Sandor Clegane aka The Hound © HBO Arya and The Hound have had a rather love-hate relationship but by the looks of it, The Hound is glad to see Arya alive and that's what he tells her too- "You're a cold hard bitch, aren't you? Guess, that's why you're still alive". The last time the two were seen together was in season 4, when a duel between The Hound and Brienne of Tarth left the Hound completely wounded. Arya escaped his companionship soon after, leaving him to die. (5) Jon Snow & Samwell Tarly © HBO With great difficulties, after escaping the Citadel, Samwell, Gilly and Little Sam come to Winterfell to fight for Snow. Sam learns about the death of his father and his brother by the hands of the queen and disappointed and dejected, he runs in to Jon, who he last saw at the Night's Watch. Their reunion is the most pivotal part of the show, as Sam reveals Jon's true identity, that he's not Ned Stark's son and neither is he a bastard. He is in fact Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen's legitimate child and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. This scene surely gave us goosebumps! (6) Sansa Stark & Tyrion Lannister © HBO This is one of the most rewarding reunions in the episode as it was bound to happen and Tyrion had to see how Sansa has actually evolved. And he does notice that and states "I underestimated you". The two were last seen in season 4, at the memorable wedding of Joffrey with Margaery Tyrell, after which Sansa fled with Littelfinger. Their conversation is short-lived in this episode but quite impactful. It tells us Sansa has truly evolved and that she knows Cersei better than anyone else. Even her own brother. That's because while Tyrion is convinced Cersei is on their side and that the Lannister army will march to Winterfell, Sansa is well aware of her schemes and knows for certain Cersei won't do such a thing as she has her own motives and she tells Tyrion the same. (7) Yara Greyjoy & Theon Grejoy © HBO Their reunion wasn't an elaborate deal but it was surely something to look forward to. When Theon arrives to rescue Yara from Euron Greyjoy's clutches, she's relieved to see him alive but also gives him a mighty head-butt (because he abandoned her in the past), before giving him her hand to stand up again. The two flee and head towards the Iron Islands, a definite place where she can stand guard for the folks in the North, as the White-Walkers supposedly can never reach the Iron Islands. She figures Theon wants to go back to Winterfell and assist Snow in the war and she tells him to do just that. (8) Jaime Lannister & Bran Stark © HBO Leaving the best for the last, this one reunion was the most superimposing and anticipated one. The two obviously met in season one, where Bran, a little boy climbed one of the towers of Winterfell to find Jaime & Cersei in a, well, a compromising position. Fear of their relationship being revealed to the rest of the family, Jaime pushed Bran down the tower, making him loose both his legs. I am not sure what the two will even talk about, or if they ever will, but I have a feeling Bran will tell Jaime he isn't that little boy anymore and that he's the Three-Eyed-Raven and that it probably doesn't matter, hopefully forgiving Jaime?! Well, Jaime's character has been the most evolving one out of the lot, so maybe he should be forgiven. So, there you go! 8 most endearing, overwhelming yet strange reunions in the first episode of the final season. We're awaiting some more reunions by the second episode, namely Jon and the Night King. But we're not going to go more in to that. For now, let's just take a week or less to digest this episode first!
  10. If you are a fan of some long shots that give the ball-collectors present in the stands a literal run for their money, then you have to appreciate the knock played by the West Indies cricketer and interim Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Kieron Pollard in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Ravichandran Ashwin's Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). His thunderous innings which included a 83-run-barrage in just 31 balls with 10 humongous sixes and three fours successfully delivered on the expectations of all of 33,000 MI fans present at the Wankhede Stadium and millions watching at home. However, when the captain got dismissed by getting caught out by David Miller off of an Ankit Rajpoot delivery in the final over, MI had to make only 4 runs off 4 balls. Such was the impact of Pollard's bat. Ashwin and the rest of the bowlers of Kings XI tried every single trick from their book but could not shake the batsman's concentration. Hardus Viljoen tried to get under Pollard's skin by walking up to him and checking for a ball's print on his shoulder but couldn't. Rajpoot himself tried to irk the veteran ahead of the final over when he took a long run-up down the ground only to stop in the middle with a smile on his face followed by a wink directed across the pitch to the man. In return, Pollard sent his delivery (which turned out to be a 'no-ball') for a six and a four in the following free-hit delivery. Things became so frustrating for the losing skipper that he even tried a different bowling action after Pollard swung for another maximum in the previous ball. Now, despite having a decent IPL season, Ashwin has been in the news for his odd behaviour on the field. Earlier being thrashed for 'mankading' Rajasthan Royals' batter Jos Buttler and getting a photo of his face shredded by Buttler's English teammate James Anderson for the same, later on. So when the Chennai-born all-rounder changed the way he bowls, the cricketing world wanted to know what's up: What is wrong with Ashwin! He has 3 actions to bowl now. — Miraj. 11. In early January 2019, it was announced that a biopic on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the works. It was also revealed that actor Vivek Oberoi would be seen essaying the titular role in the film titled 'PM Narendra Modi'. 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic will narrate PM Modi's journey from his humble beginnings, to his rise as the Prime Minister of India, and it has been reported that the film will be released in 23 Indian languages. © Legend Global Studio The makers of the film recently released the 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer and all throughout the trailer launch, the makers and actors of the biopic had just one thing to say, “Modi hai, toh mumkin hai”. While it is understood that the movie traces PM Modi's journey, the trailer also gives us an insight into more private and not-so-public aspects of PM Modi that a lot of us might be unaware of. Whitewashing or not, the trailer did do a fine job of capturing our complete attention and left us craving for the complete picture. © Legend Global Studio Here are the 5 most important moments from 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer: 1. 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer gave us a glimpse into PM Modi's childhood, his tryst with selling tea, his stand on patriotism, his days during RSS training, as well as the time when he decided to leave everything behind and become a sanyasi in order to learn the meaning of life and his purpose. © Legend Global Studio 2. The trailer nicely follows the transition of Modi from his years of association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a Sevak, his extensive tenure as Gujarat CM and moving on to BJP's clean swipe during the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. There is a promise of deeper insights in those recreations. 3. 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer also touches upon one of the most sensational aspects of PM Modi's life - the 2002 Gujarat riots. He is shown to be rescuing Muslims and taking personal initiatives related to the 2002 attack on the Akshardham temple. © Legend Global Studio 4. PM Modi's version of nationalism is loud and clear in the trailer, wherein at one point it is shown that he places the nation above any religion, as he salutes the Indian flag. 5. The trailer presents PM Modi's stand against terrorism pretty clearly and it finds a voice in the trailer more than once. The trailer also tries to bring in an element of gender equality when we hear PM Modi say, “jab tak iss desh ki mahilayen majboor hain, yeh desh kabhi majboot nahi ho sakta.” © Legend Global Studio 'PM Narendra Modi' directed by Omung Kumar of 'Mary Kom' and 'Sarbjit' fame will release on April 5, just a week before the beginning of the General Elections on April 11.
  12. If there is one English Premier League side that has underachieved in Europe, it has to be Arsenal. The North London club claims 'London Is Red' but has so far, failed to make the same statement in Europe. Currently competing in UEFA's second-tier competition- Europa League, Arsenal had a fairly easy group stage run, winning five and drawing one out of their six matches. The Gunners were confident of their chances for qualification in Round-Of-16 when they were drawn against the Belarusian side, BATE Borisov. But last night turned out to be a different story, as BATE beat Arsenal 1-0 after Stanislaw Drahun scored with a header right at the stroke of halftime. Though Arsenal came close to scoring on various occasions, they failed to make their chances pay. This shocking defeat came against a team that hasn't even kicked a ball since December 6. All this and Alexander Lacazette's red card in the closing stages of the game sent Arsenal fans into a frenzy, leading to some hilarious Twitter reactions Arsenal Fan Tv & Chill #Arsenal fan tv tonight be likeððððð¥ð¥ð¥ #BateArsenal #emeryout pic.twitter.com/bnq6HbeTmO — UnitedTrinity68 (@UnitedTrinity68) February 14, 2019 Wiki-Edits Are So Underrated Arsenal losing to a factory club. 13. Fortnite has been dominating the gaming world and is probably the most successful free-to-play game in gaming history. The game managed to make $2.8 billion in revenue in 2018 and it doesn't seem to die out in popularity soon. The Battle Royale genre was made popular by PUBG and the game has held its own when it comes to earnings. © Blue Hole 2018 was a huge year for PUBG and according to Superdata figures, the game made over $1 billion in revenue last year. That made PUBG the highest grossing paid game in 2018 and the earnings don't even include money made from PUBG mobile. If we take earnings from PUBG mobile into consideration, it is probably the second highest grossing game right behind Fortnite. Here's the full list of both free-to-play and paid games ranked according to their earnings: Top Free-to-play Games Fortnite, Epic Games - $2.4 billion Dungeon Fighter Online, Nexon - $1.5 billion League of Legends, Riot Games, Tencent - $1.4 billion Pokemon GO, Niantic - $1.3 billion Crossfire, Neowiz Games - $1.3 billion Honour of Kings, Tencent - $1.3 billion Fate/Grand Order, Aniplex - $1.2 billion Candy Crush Saga, King, Activision Blizzard - $1.1 billion Monster Strike, Mixi - $1.0 billion Clash Royale, Supercell, Tencent - $0.9 billion Top Paid Games PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Bluehole - $1.028 billion FIFA 18, Electronic Arts - $790 million Grand Theft Auto V, Take-Two Interactive - $628 million Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, Activision Blizzard - $612 million Red Dead Redemption 2, Take-Two Interactive - $516 million Call of Duty: WWII, Activision Blizzard - $506 million FIFA 19, Electronic Arts - $482 million Monster Hunter: World, Capcom - $467 million Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft - $440 million Overwatch, Activision Blizzard - $429 million PUBG has been continually losing players after it peaked with 3 million concurrent players worldwide however it still ended up being the top selling and most-played game on steam. Considering how Fortnite has been destroying everything in its path, it's impressive to see the game earn this kind of figures. © MensXP The mobile version of the game has become more popular thanks to its popularity in India and other regions. The mobile version earned $32.5 million in November 2018 alone and it seems like the popularity of the game will only seem to rise. It's not only the mobile version, the game saw a sudden rise in concurrent players on Steam I.e. 1 million players in December 2018. This may have been due to Blue Hole's effort to purge hackers that initially led to the game's stagnant growth. It would be interesting to see how PUBG will fare against Fortnite in 2019 and whether it would be able to rake in similar revenue numbers. Still, it was reassuring to see PUBG hold it's own against a juggernaut like Fortnite. Source: Forbes
  14. NVIDIA launched a brand new GPU for users who are budget conscious but still want to get the best experience for that price, and AMD, just days after, announced its new chip that will compete directly with the RTX 2080. © AMD In a roundtable attended by Gizmodo, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang laughed off the competition and described AMD's announcement as “underwhelming”. He claimed that the RTX 2080 will “crush” AMD's Radeon VII in benchmarks. “The performance is lousy,” said Huang, referring to AMD's latest GPU, Radeon 7. © AMD NVIDIA introduced a ray-tracing to their new GPUs and you can read all about it here. The technology has been developed over the past ten years in collaboration with Microsoft and game developers. You can read our review of the RTX 2080 and about its performance here. In our tests, the RTX 2080 performed extremely well with certain games and you can see our results below: © MensXP Ray tracing basically traces light in real-time that basically results in better textures, lighting effects, reflections and accurate shadows. AMD's latest GPU does not support this technology at the moment and the company claims it is 25 per cent more powerful than the previous generations. When asked, AMD CEO Lisa Su about Jensen's comments, Su responded, "What I would say is that we're very excited about Radeon VII, and I would probably suggest that he hasn't seen it yet." So, I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to see how things shake out with final hardware and drivers, and independent performance testing.

  16. Okay, let's be real, people were excited for the movie 'Venom' but not that excited. Even the trailers didn't help with building up the hype and that's quite unfortunate, to be honest. Actually, the most I've heard about the movie was when everyone was thirsting after Venom. Yes, the internet is a weird place. But, even though Tom Hardy was successful in making everyone horny in his alien space suit, he still wasn't able to save the movie, and the first reactions of 'Venom' are proving just that. Just a disclaimer, there are no spoilers ahead, just tweets by people who've already seen the movie and who are talking about it without giving away any plot points. So, it's like 14 years too late? Social embargo for #Venom is up. I talk about this a lot in my review but this is a movie that somehow slipped through a wormhole from 2004. That's my biggest take. It's a movie that spilled from the pre-MCU era through a crack in time and space. — The Mothmegð NYCC (@rustypolished) October 2, 2018 Well, this isn't totally negative. Action-sequences and Eddie and Venom's odd relationship are the highlights of #Venom but if Sony wants to move forward with a universe, it needs to just keep the few parts that work and scrap the large portion which does t. — Brandon Davis (@BrandonDavisBD) October 2, 2018 Poor Michelle Williams. She did the best she could with what she was given, I think. https://t.co/fyK1gsmTvo — Brandon Davis (@BrandonDavisBD) October 2, 2018 Finally, a good reaction! So #Venom. I went in fearing the worst, BUT I actually liked it quite a bit more than I thought I would. I still wish it was rated R, but it seems like they set up something to cross over into Spider-Man's movies, and it was funnier than I imagined. — ð»ashleyð (@AshleyEsqueda) October 2, 2018 And, we're back. Sorry to say that #Venom is pretty much a complete failure - a tonal mess that feels 15 years old, ignoring the storytelling strides that the superhero genre has made in recent years. A few fun Venom-centric moments aside, it has nearly nothing to offer. Don't get your hopes up. — Tom Horrorgensen (@Tom_Jorgensen) October 2, 2018 This is harsh. In regards to #Venom, I haven't felt that way walking out of a superhero movie since Green Lantern. — Joshua Yehlblazer (@JoshuaYehl) October 3, 2018 So, Tom Hardy is the saving grace? @JimmytotheO had a good time with @VenomMovie. While it has its flaws, he calls it “fast paced, funny and sometimes thrilling...” Plus “Tom Hardy is pretty phenomenal.” Full review soon! pic.twitter.com/CKYdLPRyAL — JoBlo.com (@joblocom) October 2, 2018 So much sarcasm, love it! You mean to tell me a movie about a Spider-Man villain without Spider-Man and made outside the context of the Marvel Universe simply as a money grab isn't good? Stunning. #venom — Robin Lundberg (@robinlundberg) October 2, 2018 I haven't even seen the movie, but I totally get her point. It's...not a complete disaster? At least I was never mad watching it? But it is an excruciatingly surreal experience. The humor, the story beats, everything right down to the Eminem theme song feels like it emerged Kimmy Schmidt style from a sealed off early 00s bunker. — The Mothmegð NYCC (@rustypolished) October 2, 2018 Well, after all, it is Tom Hardy. Tom Hardy's performance in #Venom is either Johnny Depp in the first PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN or Chris Klein in STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI. Either way, it's not boring. — Scott Mendelson (@ScottMendelson) October 2, 2018 Very neutral. Not sure if Tom Hardy's weirdness sabotaged #Venom or saved it, but it has a self-aware cartoonishness, especially in its latter half. It's not "good," but it's better than expected. Doesn't feel like an R-rated film, am guessing the deleted 40min is just Hardy clowning around. — Scott Mendelson (@ScottMendelson) October 2, 2018 Almost every review summed up in one sentence – “It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.” #Venom wasn't as bad as everyone was saying it was going to be. Tom Hardy is and always will be a great actor, and I laughed a lot — but I'm not sure whether that was intentional or not. Post-credit scene is 𥠗 Beatrice Verhoeven (@bverhoev) October 2, 2018 The first person who liked it a lot. #Venom was only the best superhero movie I've seen in along while. It's refreshing to see a superhero film that wasn't bogged down by years of movies and characters. Def a worth see. Sony really gave it their all. — Aaron- Certified Rotten (@Bizarnage) October 2, 2018 Okay then. Significant chunks of #Venom don't work *at all* but there is some serious charm to the Eddie/Venom relationship. Not sure I had the intended reactions to some scenes but fun is fun - even when it's totally ridiculous, right? It's too bad they didn't go for the R rating though. — Deweystein's Monster (@PNemiroff) October 2, 2018 Okay, this is my favourite tweet from all of these. #Venom is like a buddy comedy in which one of the buddies has to prevent the other from biting people's heads off, which is another way of saying I liked it. — Michael Nordine (@slowbeard) October 2, 2018
  17. Horror movies are supposed to scare the sh*t out of you, but Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are coming out with a scary movie that will leave you rolling on the floor laughing. The movie is 'Stree' and thanks to the recently released trailer, we've already seen a glimpse of how brilliant it is going to be. Maddock Films If Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao didn't entice us enough to go and watch this horror-comedy, Kriti Sanon with her on-screen skeleton boyfriend and Badshah have further intrigued us all with their 'Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe' invite. Maddock Films If 'Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe' doesn't ring a bell to you, trust me you don't deserve to be on social media and might as well start using owls for communication. YouTube It was one of the most viral memes for most part of 2017 and early 2018, and the makers tried to cash in on the same meme by creating a whole song on it with a twist of spooky romance between Kriti and a skeleton. Maddock Films It's a peppy dance number by Nikhita Gandhi, Badshah and Sachin-Jigar, and begins with Kriti as a corpse who suddenly becomes all glamorous after swiping right and matching with a skeleton on a dating app. Maddock Films She invites him to the haveli for a romantic date and soon Rajkummar and Badshah join in too. Honestly, this song is fine but Amrish Puri's 'Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe' invite was and will forever be the most iconic thing ever. 'Stree' is a movie about a witch who preys on male villagers at the same time every year during a particular time. The movie is expected to release on August 31.
  18. Xiaomi has officially confirmed today that it will be bringing the Pocophone lineup in India soon. It has long been rumoured that the company is working on a new branding, POCO, that will concentrate on premium phones. Just yesterday, Xiaomi launched the much anticipated Mi A2 in India. Xiaomi India's Lead Product Manager, Jai Mani, confirmed the upcoming launch of POCO on Twitter and everyone is excited to see what the company will be launching. Wish me luck! @IndiaPOCO @GlobalPocophone pic.twitter.com/tZcAUjmgI5 — Jai Mani (@jaimani) August 9, 2018 The Pocophone F1 has been leaked multiple times in the past and is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor along with at least 6GB of RAM. The leaks also suggest the phone will have a metallic build along with a notched display. The phone also has liquid-cooling technology along with a massive 4000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge. On the front, it will sport a 6-inch display and the rear is expected to have a 12+5-megapixel dual camera setup. The front camera will be a 20-megapixel shooter and have AI-powered features like the portrait mode. © SlashLeaks The handset is said to be equipped with 6GB of RAM, 64GB storage, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It's likely to come pre-loaded with Android Oreo-based MIUI 9.0. However, the exact information regarding the POCO range of smartphones hasn't been officially confirmed yet. Leaks have also confirmed that the phone will sport a USB-C port along with the headphone jack. © SlashLeaks The device will be competing against the recently launched ASUS Zenfone 5Z, OnePlus 6 and Huawei's Nova 3. While the midrange segment has always been very competitive in India, the last few months have seen a rise in top-tier devices as well. India is a huge market for Xiaomi, hence it comes as no surprise that the new POCO branding will be unveiled first here. This won't be the first time Xiaomi has started a sub-brand though, it already runs the BlackShark branding in China for gaming phones and also has Amazfit for smartwatches. What do you think about the new lineup that Xiaomi is bringing to India? Let us know in the comments section below!
  19. The first time we ever heard about a Harley Davidson electric motorcycle was way back in 2014 and since then it has been anticipated to debut soon. The project was dubbed as 'Project LiveWire' and has since got some design changes and will be one of the very few electric bikes to launch next year. © Harley Davidson The news comes from Harley-Davidson's future strategy to inspire the next generation of bikers. "The LiveWire will be the first bike that will have a no-clutch 'twist and go' system which has been designed to establish the company as the leader in the electrification of the sport," wrote the company in a press release. Of course, the images released by Harley Davidson is only a prototype and is not for sale yet. © Harley Davidson Since it is a prototype, it may undergo a few changes and have different features on the final outcome. The company is also working on two other electric bike models — one resembles a dirt-bike while the other looks more like a city commuter version. Both electric versions of the bike are expected to launch sometime in 2022. © Harley Davidson The company will continue to work on traditional non-electric bikes and the company plans to launch its first adventure touring model called the “the Pan America 1250” in 2020. The company will also be looking to launch a 975cc StreetFighter model for 2020. It seems like Harley Davidson has been busy with updating its current lineup as a "stripped down” styled motorcycle is also expected to launch by 2021 that will have 1250cc of power.
  20. Tata Nano was an ambitious project kickstarted by the Chairman of the Tata Group, Ratan Tata. Ten years back when it was launched, everyone's eyes were on the "cheapest car" in the world and how it brings about a change for the Indian middle-class. Fast forward today, the dream is up in smokes as Tata Motors has decided to end the production of the Nano due to poor sales. While India is a developing market and automobile sales have been increasing steadily, the Nano just couldn't find a customer base for itself. The company produced only one unit in the month of June compared to 275 units produced in the same period last year. In comparison, passenger vehicles have seen a jump of 38 percent in sales. © Reuters In fact, Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest automobile maker posted a growth of 40 percent. To top that, India still hasn't picked up on electric vehicles and consumers are actually opting for smaller cars that are easier to drive in densely populated urban areas. So, why did the Nano fail? I've spoken to a lot of marketing experts as well as automobile aficionado's and the major point of failure has been Nano's marketing. The company wanted to make a point, that the base variant should cost only Rs. 1 lakh, excluding taxes, which was never practically achieved. The base variant, in turn, was nothing but a metal box with an engine. © BCCL Purchasing a car is everyone's dream, and when you are open to spending on a four-wheeler, you'd want it to have at least some basic comfort features. These were missing from the base variant of the Nano, and if you wanted them, the cost escalated quickly to nearly at least Rs. 3 lakhs. Now, it must be noted that Tata's marketing of the vehicles was always around it being the cheapest car in the market. The "cheapest" tag didn't actually go well with the buyers, who are under societal judgment and pressure of having a status when purchasing a four-wheeler. The company tried multiple new ways of marketing it, giving new colours, improved interiors and fuel efficiency, but all this faded in front of the "cheapest" tag. © TATA In the last few years, Tata did realize what's wrong with their marketing efforts and tried to shift the campaigns. It tried to woo the young buyers by giving the car a more youthful aura and marketing it as an urban traveler that can easily seep through traffic. But, irreparable damage was done long back. The people's perception about the car wasn't going to change. In comparison, the competing cars like Alto 800, Eon, and the Kwid have been posting amazing sales results. These cars, even though small and in the same price bracket, are actually perceived to be just a "car" and not the "cheapest car". © MotorBeam Secondly, the Nano was plagued with electrical issues at the beginning that saw cars catching fire. The Nano's engine is located in the back, similar to where Indan rickshaws have an engine. Even the exhaust note has often been compared to that of a rickshaw. All these minor factors also hampered its sales and made the buyers keep their distance. There is no doubt the Nano indeed is a revolutionary product. India has long been known for cutting costs and focusing more on the utility than the looks or other superficial factors. There are lakhs of families out there who own a car, just because of Tata's efforts. These users do not regret their decision of opting the Nano. But unfortunately, the dream car remained a dream for the company. Source: Bloomberg
  21. You know how people say 'don't fix it if it ain't broken'? Something like this can be applied to movies as well, specifically Bollywood with just some tweaking – 'don't remake it if you can't do justice to the original'. That's exactly what everyone is saying about the upcoming movie 'Dhadak', which is a remake of the 2016 Marathi movie 'Sairat'. As soon as the trailer came out, people were not impressed and were afraid the original will be ruined after this Bollywood remake starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. And today, the video for the popular song 'Zingaat' was dropped and for a moment it seemed that the angry horde would calm down. But it seemed to have the reverse effect. Far from being calm, people are super pissed with the song saying it didn't live up to the original Marathi version at all. And the best way to show your displeasure about something? Troll it hard and yeah, that's all you need to do. Memes, tweets, and just plain anger have been flooding everyone's timeline on Twitter. But, before we proceed, here's the song 'Zingaat' from 'Dhadak' – And, this is the original one from 'Sairat' – Now, you can yourself compare and see which one is better, or have Karan Johar and nepotism ruined something brilliant, again? My biggest fear today revolves around the havoc this new #Zingaat will wreak when it reaches the dark world of Musically! — pnkj (@AskThePankazzzz) June 27, 2018
  22. The FIFA World Cup 2018 is in full fervour and we're all glued to our screens just like how we had imagined. It's the World Cup after all and even if India is not among the qualifiers, we're still as enthusiastic as every other ardent football fan out there. But India is not totally disconnected from the World Cup so to speak. We have some adorable representatives making their way into the World Cup, and we couldn't be more proud! Meet 10-year-old Rishi Tej and 11-year-old Nathania John Kandathil, who are the designated Official Match Ball Carriers (OMBC) for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and they're both from India! Rishi already became the first Indian ball-boy in a World Cup match, when Belgium played Panama in Sochi. The 10-year-old carried the football onto the pitch during the pre-match ceremony between Belgium and the World Cup first-timers Panama, where the Red Devils beat Panama 3-0. © Twitter 64 kids were selected across the world to be a part of the OMBC programme, a campaign organised by KIA Motors (FIFA's official partners), which is actually a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for enthusiastic football-loving kids across the world, to watch some great matches and walk alongside the biggest names in the football world. "I am so excited, you cannot measure it even. It is like I am still dreaming. In Russia, I want to live every moment. During the match, I just don't want to enjoy but analyse how they play," - Rishi Tej (as told to a popular publication). © Twitter The Bangalore boy admitted having not slept well at all after his selection was finalised. And that's absolutely understandable! Imagine sitting with your favourite sportsmen while representing your country, all at the same time! Tamil Nadu's Nathania is the only girl to make it, after a tough competition against 50 boys, impressing the selection committee with her on-point football skills. Her big day is yet to come though. She'll walk along the big players, with the official match ball in her hand, on June 22, when Brazil will play against Costa Rica. Exciting times are ahead of her and I am sure she's kicked about it. You can definitely watch her during the starting ceremony. © Twitter Sunil Chhetri, the Indian football team captain conducted trials for the selection last month for the OMBC programme & he had a lot to say. “I am overwhelmed to see the kind of talent these little kids have. They are not only just passionate about the game but are also well-versed about its nuances. I shall envy the kids who eventually go over to Russia to watch the game's greatest players in action. It will be a life-changing experience. I must thank Kia Motors for giving me the opportunity to interact with these kids and be part of such a wonderful initiative,” - Sunil Chhetri (quoted by a popular news network). © Twitter Great to see India's 1st ever Official Match Ball Carrier at the @FIFAWorldCup thanks to @KiaMotorsIN. Super initiative. Well done Rishi Tej from #bengaluru. @chetrisunil11 @squareConsult #football #lifetimeopportunity #worldcupâ â #FifaWorldCup18 pic.twitter.com/mXUkw0Oium — Vishal Jhunjhunwala (@vj2w) 18 June 2018 Well, all we want to say is three cheers to KIA Motors for organising such a heart warming initiative which will witness kids who love football, across the globe, participate in the World Cup and witness one of their biggest dreams come true! As for now, we're super proud of both Rishi and Nathania for making it to the World Cup and connecting India to the biggest Football tournament in the world.
  23. There are different types of football fans that we have during a World Cup – while most will stay up till late to catch all the matches, some will even travel to where all the action is happening, if they can afford it. And then there are some people, whose passion to watch the match is so strong, that they will do anything to make it happen, even if they don't have the money for it at that point. This one person took the trip of a lifetime to go to Russia, where the FIFA World Cup 2018 is underway. We're talking about 28-year-old Indian Cliffin Francis, hailing from Cherthala, Kerala, who completed his goal of watching the World Cup action in person by cycling all the way to Russia. Yes, he travelled by a cycle till Russia. He started this exciting journey back in February 23 after saving up for a few months. Okay, so he didn't cycle all the way through; he took a flight to Dubai and started cycling from there, covering over 4,000km across UAE, Iran, Azerbaijan and finally reached Russia. Talking to The Times Of India, he said, “I loved football since childhood and Argentina is my favourite team. Watching a World Cup match was my dream, but it is very expensive. I will watch a group match between France and Denmark, spend some days in Russia and return home on my cycle.” Cliffin finally made it to Russia on June 5th after traversing through Iran and Azerbaijan. He said, “I hope to reach Moscow in a week to see the group match.” Further talking about his incredible journey, he said, “I stayed in a tent to save money and the officials and residents gave me a good treat when they realized I am an Indian. I also met Malayalis in Azerbaijan, who treated me like a brother.” His extraordinary experience has also inspired him to write a book – “This journey has turned into a wonderful experience and I will pen a book soon.” He's almost there and he's so close to his one 'goal' – to get his cycle signed by none other than Lionel Messi. Well, we sure hope he meets him and fulfils his dream. I think we can all agree he's worked hard enough for it.
  24. Neymar is not really having a good time these days – on the field and on Twitter. From making fun of his weird 'spaghetti' hair to memes about him getting continuously tackled on the field, people can't stop making jokes about him. Fine, whatever happened at the Brazil vs Switzerland match was kind of out his hands, but seriously what was he thinking with that hair? As everyone on Twitter is saying, it does look like he has a bowl of pasta on his head and you actually can't unsee it. So, in the spirit of the game, let's have some laughs at Neymar's expense because why not. Oh, that's bad. 25. Now that iOS 12 Beta is now available to developers, it is open for them to poke around and find information that is not meant to be seen by the public yet. Guilherme Rambo was one of those developers who looked closer at the code and found something that has only been a rumour until now. © Twitter Face ID is coming to iPads as found in the video and screenshot found by Rambo in iOS 12. The screenshot shows the setup UI and other settings relevant to the new unlocking feature. These references show that a device is already equipped with Face ID sensors and has been credibly reported as a rumour for a 2018 release. This basically confirms an iPad with Face ID is definitely coming sometime in the near future. The Face ID setup UI is finally working on iPad. Clearly not done yet as can be seen by the descriptions mentioning "iPhone". But it's a start :) pic.twitter.com/PVQgfbne15 — Guilherme Rambo (@_inside) June 5, 2018 We already know today that iOS 12 is going to bridge gesture control between the iPhone X and the iPad as soon as the update starts rolling. At the moment, users can access the Control Center by swiping down from the top right corner, similar to the iPhone X. Once can also notice from the screenshot that the clock has been moved to the left corner, in order to make room for the impending notch. © Youtube Would you care for facial recognition on the iPad, it sure will make it easier to use the tablet simply because of its larger screen size. Let us know what you think about the much-rumoured iPad and whether it would be revolutionary or not. For more information on WWDC18, keep tabs on the MensXP Technology section.
