  1. If there's anything Salman Khan is known for apart from acting, Bigg Boss and controversy, it is the fact that he is also very generous. And every other day, the actor gives us a proof of the same with his random 'acts of kindness' and spoiling his friends by showering expensive gifts on them. And the newest addition to his list of celebrities at the receiving end of expensive gifts, is his Dabangg 3 co-star Kichcha Sudeep. © SKF films Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep, who played the villain Bali Singh in Dabangg 3, was recently surprised by Salman Khan who gifted him a Rs 1.55 crore BMW M5 post the success of the movie. 2. Yesteryears singer Anuradha Paudwal recently grabbed headlines after a 45-year-old Kerala woman named Karmala claimed to be her biological daughter. Yes, you heard it right. But guess what, the lady in question isn't interested in reuniting with her mother. Instead, she has demanded Rs 50 crore as compensation. According to an Indian Express report, Karmala claims that Anuradha and Arun are her biological parents and they gave her to Ponnachan and Agnes when she was just four-days-old. “About four-five years ago, my foster father Ponnachan confessed on his deathbed that my biological mother was actually Anuradha Paudwal. I was told that I was four days old when I was handed over to my foster parents. Ponnachan, who was posted in the Army in Maharashtra at the time, was friends with Anuradha. Later, he got a transfer to Kerala,” Karmala said. After her father confided in her, Karmala reportedly tried to contact the singer over the phone several times but she found herself blocked after a while. After this incident surfaced on the internet, fans of the singer started to react and called out Karmala for being a fraud and said that she is doing all of this to get money and gain some popularity. Check out the reactions below: Waah Beti Waah.. Matlab maa nahi chaahiye, 50 crore chaahiye #AnuradhaPaudwal #FraudDaughter https://t.co/2uFWMp9p6o — Hindustani Bhau (@hindustanibhaau) January 3, 2020 A 45 year old lady is claiming to be singer Anuradha Paudwal's daughter and asking for a 50 cr compensation. Sounds total fraud. People can say and do anything to extract money! — Savitha (@SavithaKartha) January 3, 2020 Definitely fraud. What was she doing all these years? — DarkKnight (@iamshinerk) January 3, 2020 Gain popularity too — Narindar Kumarð®ð³ (@Narindar01) January 3, 2020 What's in a relation when it's being weighed in monetary terms? At most she could get a declaration under Specific Relief Act like Shekhar Tiwari did. Sometimes you lose a lot when you win such a battle. — Singh (@AdvVikramSingh) January 2, 2020 However, Anuradha has refuted all such baseless claims. In a DNA report, she is quoted saying, “I don't clarify idiotic statements made by a****s! It's below my dignity. Thanks for your concern." Anuradha's spokesperson also said, "This girl (Karmala) is a psycho. Anuradha's daughter Kavita was born in 1974 so Karmala's claims are false. This girl (Karmala) is mentioning Anuradha's husband but she doesn't even know that he passed away a while back and if Karmala is Anuradha's daughter, she should give Anuradha money and not demand 50 crores." 3. Being able to use a high-end TV is a surreal experience, let alone experiencing the best viewing experience on a display. We were invited to check out Samsung's “The Wall” that starts at Rs 3.5 crore and goes all the way up to Rs 12 Crore depending on your size preference. It is definitely not meant for the average household and is more of a luxury viewing experience for the affluent. The version we tested can support up to 4K resolution which is 3.7 meters (146-inch) in size. The top model has support for up to 8K resolution. If you want to experience The Wall for yourself, you will not be able to visit any Samsung store as it can be exclusively experienced only at Samsung's headquarters. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla While using The Wall, the first thing you will notice is the sheer size of the display. It literally covers up an entire wall, hence the name. If you have extra space, you can always get a bigger model depending on the size of your wall. The beauty of The Wall is that it uses Samsung's modular MicroLED display which means you can increase the size whenever you want. Unlike modern televisions, The Wall is completely bezel-less and does not have a frame. It is 30mm in depth and the outer frame can be customised with different textures. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla In terms of the specifications, The Wall has a peak brightness level of 2,000 nits and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The higher refresh rate on the display helps in two scenarios, stutter-free and smooth live sports viewing experience and fast reaction times when playing games. The higher refresh rate is probably the most under-rated and the least talked about feature of the display. Samsung says that The Wall Uses Quantum HDR technology, AI upscaling and Chroma Max technology to improve the overall picture quality. While using The Wall, we can confirm that the colours were popping, vivid and rich enough to make theatre-quality image look redundant. The picture quality was anything like we've seen on a display before and we've experienced the Samsung Onyx Theatres as well. HDR capabilities are most noticeable in games and we played Forza Horizon 4 on an Xbox One S to see how HDR comes into play on this display. We've played the game on PC before but the game looked absolutely beautiful on The Wall. The game had better contrast than our PC version of the game we've tested on OLED TVs. Overall, it looked more immersive than usual as it was brighter and the colours had a wider range/depth. Usually, games look the same with minor differences on high-end TVs and monitors but Forza Horizon 4 looked like a completely different game on The Wall. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Having a display the size of a wall can be a bit distracting and to counter this problem, Samsung has included an Ambient Mode in the software. This turns the display into a piece of art or runs live wallpapers to make the large display feel less awkward. Users can choose art content such as Decor, Nature or even camouflage the display entirely by capturing the textures of your room's wall via a Samsung tablet. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla For users who like to watch movies and tv shows, just like Samsung Smart TVs, The Wall comes with native support for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Plex, Zee5, Apple TV, and other applications that can be downloaded from the Samsung app store. All of these modes can be triggered easily from the dedicated remote that communicated with a box that houses all the connections for the display. The Wall is definitely not an experience that can be replicated by any other television or display and is reserved for the affluent. Having said that, Samsung backs its asking price for The Wall with an experience that can't be matched by anything you have seen so far. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us and we can confidently say that this technology is the future of home entertainment that might become mainstream in the next decade. 4. Anil Kapoor is a magician, if you ask us. We cannot recount the number of times we have seen his pictures on Instagram and asked ourselves, “How on earth does he manage to look so young?” And more to the point, far better than people half his age. © Instagram/anilskapoor Well, we do know that he has an impeccable eye for details and style, and that he takes what he wears very seriously. All of this, however, are just superficial, albeit, very important things. A sense of style of and an eye for detail will only help you to a very limited extent, if you don't have a strong base. Having a healthy and fit physique, A-level energy always at your disposal, is a major aspect that people often miss out on. © Instagram/anilskapoor Now, it seems that we finally know how exactly Anil Kapoor manages to stay jhakaas. It turns out, a lot of it has to do with the way he trains. Now, it's no secret that the man is nothing short of a beast when it comes to training. Even though he is touching 63, he trains in a manner which would leave 20-something Millenials gasping for breath. Take a look - View this post on Instagram Ain't no rain or shine getting in my way! The thing is, he trains with the best people. Recently, when Yohan Blake, a Jamaican track Olympian was in India, Anil took the opportunity to invite him to the track and train with him. © Instagram/anilskapoor And we're not speaking of a walk in the park, warm-up as training - it was a full-blown session, with Yohan spotting for Anil, timing his runs and doing everything that a track athletic trainer does. © Instagram/anilskapoor © Instagram/anilskapoor For people who do not follow athletics enthusiastically enough, Yohan Blake was crowned as the youngest 100m champion back in 2011 at the 2011 World Championships. In the 2012 London Olympics, he was just a fraction of a millisecond behind Usain Bolt, in both, the 100 metre and 200 metre sprints. © Instagram/yohanblake Saying that Yohan is the second-fastest man on earth, and clearly, one of the fastest in the world, ever, would not be farfetched. © Reuters What caught our eye was the watch that Yohan was wearing. After all, you don't see someone wearing a signature piece as unique as that. Yohan is seen wearing the Richard Mille RM 59-01 Yohan Blake edition. That's right, the athletic champion has a watch dedicated to his own name (two, actually). The particular piece that he is wearing retails for about $ 620,000 or Rs 4.42 crores, and is limited to just 50 pieces in the world. © Instagram/yohanblake That being said, we still cannot take our eyes off of Anil Kapoor. After all, who isn't enamoured by eternal youth. We will take what Anil has, over the RM any given day. View the full article
  5. Samsung is one of those brands that makes kickass televisions. Their panels are among the best ones in the market, and there's hardly anything out there that comes even close. And Samsung is also a brand that often makes us realize that luxury doesn't come cheap. The company's new range of Smart TVs for India is something we think only the Elite will be able to afford. We say that because Samsung's new Smart TV can cost you up to Rs 12 Crore. Yes, you read that right. © Samsung Samsung has officially announced the launch of a new large-formal MicroLED display with a new range of 'The Wall' Smart TV. We're looking at three different variants including 146-inch in 4K resolution, 219-inch in 6K definition and 292-inch in 8K definition. Again, it's not a typo. It is indeed 292-inches and supports up to 8K resolution. For that price, you'll be getting an immersive viewing experience and never seen before picture quality at the comfort of your home. The MicroLED display technology, for those of you who don't know, uses AI up-scaling, Quantum HDR technology along with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It also supports a 120Hz video rate, which means you'll get a rich and superior visual experience. The TVs also come with a 100,000-hour lifetime of self-light emitting diodes, with the help of which it will always be on. Add Ambient mode to that, and you are looking at a panel that can display art from paintings, photographs and more just like a digital frame. © Samsung The new Wall TVs also come with Quantum Processor Flex technology, which is essentially a machine learning-based picture quality engine that analyzes millions of image data to automatically calibrate a low-res image. So, what about the pricing? Well, the prices for the latest TVs range from Rs 3.5 Crore to up to Rs 12 Crore. And, these are exclusive of taxes, which means they'll be more if you decide to bring them home. That's what you have to pay to bring home one of the most sophisticated pieces of technology. The Wall Luxury Edition will be exclusively available at Samsung's briefing Centre in Gurugram and you can also book private viewings from starting today. Source: Samsung View the full article
  6. The Jonas Brothers are breaking all the music records and topping the charts, but they just took their competitive or should we say, winning streak a notch up by breaking the records of real estate in Los Angeles. Our "Desi Girl" Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas "Jiju" just spent a whopping $20 million (Rs. 144 crore approx.) on a swanky mansion in LA and became the costliest neighbours in the neighbourhood of Encino. © Instagram But, wasn't it just last year when Nick bought a mansion for USD 6.5 million for his lady love in Beverly Hills? Well, looks like, it's new year, new house, new housewarming, and tons of party opportunities for the Jonas Brothers and 'J Sisters'. According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, Nick and Priyanka's new LA mansion is a 20,000-square-foot property with 7 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, mesmerising view of the mountains and swimming pools that we don't need to look at because we're swimming and some are drowning in our own pool called 'I am broke AF', quite literally! © Instagram According to a report in Variety, other features of this magnificent mansion are a two-lane bowling alley, mirror-walled gymnasium, restaurant-quality wet bar, movie theatre with an IMAX screen, an indoor basketball court, a garage in the basement that can hold dozens of luxury cars, lounge room with a pool table and enough space to throw lavish parties for friends and family. Can someone hire us to serve popcorn and coke at their in-house movie theatre? I can wait if you want to scroll up and read the features again. © Instagram Nick's elder brother, Joe Jonas too has bought a 15000-square-foot mansion just three miles away from his at $14 million approx. So, what happens to Nick Jiju's $6.5 million mansion? He sold it to 22-year-old tennis star Naomi Osaka for $6.9 million. Priyanka was last seen in The Sky Is Pink with Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. She will now star in the adaptation of The White Tiger alongside Rajkummar Rao. View the full article
  7. Salman Khan has always maintained that he does not give much credit to the reviews by the critics, instead, it's the box office collection which is the key validating factor to a movie's success. Salman's latest release 'Bharat', which is an official remake of the South Korean film 'Ode to My Father', started off on a great note but then lost its pace at the box office market and now, it looks like it has run out of steam. The movie has managed to earn Rs 188.65 crore at the ticket windows and is struggling to cross the Rs 200 crore mark. The movie opened to mixed reviews from critics, as some called it bland while some termed it the perfect Eid blockbuster. We wonder if the movie will be able to make Rs 200 crore at the box office. 'Bharat' was released on 4,700 screens in India and on over 1,300 screens overseas. In one of the group interviews, while promoting the movie, Salman said, “My validation comes from the box office collections... that the people have liked or not liked a film. It doesn't make a difference if someone (a critic) has given it so many stars (ratings) or ridiculed the film. It's their bread and butter. God bless them, give them two more (slices of) bread.” View this post on Instagram Thank you so much for all the love and support you have shown towards 'Bharat' #BharatAudienceReactions @bharat_thefilm @aliabbaszafar @atulreellife #BhushanKumar @katrinakaif @tabutiful @apnabhidu @sonalikul @dishapatani @whosunilgrover @norafatehi @iaasifsheikhofficial @nikhilnamit @reellifeproduction @skfilmsofficial @tseries.official A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) on Jun 13, 2019 at 3:03am PDT Now that the movie is struggling to touch the Rs 200 crore mark, we wonder what Salman has to say seeing the current scenario. 'Bharat' is produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. 8. Ever since 'Cyclone Fani' wreaked havoc in Odisha, the state has been struggling to get back on its feet. Amidst the worsening situation, Bollywood's OG Khiladi Akshay Kumar emerged as a silver lining, by donating Rs. 1 crore to the cyclone victims in Odisha. © Instagram Although there might be controversies regarding his citizenship, the fact remains that Akshay Kumar has never refrained from going the extra mile for the country and society. This time around too, he reportedly donated Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to help the Odisha cyclone victims. According to a report in Hindustan Times, a source revealed this news and said, "This is not new. Akshay has always been contributing for causes, be it his Bharat ke Veer initiative for the armed forces, or his contribution to the Kerala Floods or Chennai floods earlier." © Instagram Earlier in 2015, Akshay had donated Rs. 1 crore for the Chennai flood relief work. He has also been actively donating and urging his fans to contribute to 'Bharat Ke Veer', an initiative launched by him and the Government of India, for the bravehearts and their families. Nature showed its wrath in Odisha with 'Cyclone Fani' recently, and we lost many innocent lives and there are videos that show the extent of infrastructural damage the state has gone through. So far, more than 30 people have been killed and hundreds of houses have been destroyed, despite the planned evacuation. © Instagram But, Odisha refused to give up and so did the entire nation, by coming forward to support the relief work and pray for their safety. Once again, people of the country proved that nothing can break their spirit. Currently, Akshay Kumar is working on his upcoming film 'Sooryavanshi'.
  9. Who is a BFF? The one who's grown up taking all our crap, negating all the bad stuff around us, making life awesome and keeping secrets like no one else could, right? Yes, but in the adult and the rich world of Hollywood, BFF goals are all of these and besides staying through each other's thick and thin, our favourite Hollywood stars also shower their best friends with some insane gifts. 10. Getting into prestigious institutions like IIT, and scoring a job by top global companies like Google, Facebook, etc., is a dream of almost all the aspiring engineering students in the country. But imagine how cool it would be if you get your dream offer for doing something that you're passionate about? Well, a 21-year-old engineering student in Mumbai just got lucky! © TOI Abdullah Khan, who's currently pursuing BE (Computer Science) from Shree LR Tiwari Engineering College in Mumbai, scored an offer from Google. How, you ask? Well, he takes part in many online programming competitions in his free time, and his profile apparently impressed the folks over at Google. So they ended up offering him a Rs. 1.2 Crore job at their HQ in London. According to the Times of India, Khan had to appear for a series of online interviews and a final screening at the London office before landing the job. He'll be working with Google's site reliability engineering team starting this September. His six-figure package at Google includes the base salary of Rs 54.5 lakh per annum, with 15 per cent bonus and stock options worth Rs. Rs 58.9 lakh over four years. In an email, Google officials mentioned that they had seen Khan's profile on the programming site, and they were looking for resources in locations across Europe. © Google Khan, on the other hand, noted that he wasn't expecting such an offer when he took part in these competitions. “I used to participate as it was fun. I did not even know that firms check programmers' profiles on such sites. I showed the email to my friend who knew someone who had received such an email in the past. I am looking forward to joining their team. It will be an amazing learning experience for me,” he said. What's more interesting is that he did his schooling in Saudi Arabia and moved to Mumbai only after class XII. He also tried getting into an IIT, but he couldn't manage to get in.
  11. Kangana Ranaut is a fierce woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. The brilliant actress is known for her strength on screen and off screen as well because be it taking off-beat roles or speaking her mind, Kangana is not someone who is scared of brewing a controversy or mincing her words. After the critical success and the accolades she's earned from her last movie 'Manikarnika', Kangana is all set to embark on a journey of Jayalalitha's biopic, which is a bilingual project and will be made in Tamil and Hindi. As per recent reports, Kangana will be paid close to Rs 24 crores for the project, which means she'll dethrone Deepika Padukone as the highest paid actress in Bollywood. Deepika was reportedly paid close to Rs 12 crore for 'Padmaavat'. The producers have already signed a contract with Kangana and the movie will be titled 'Thalaivi' in Tamil and 'Jaya' in Hindi. In a recent interview, Kangana spoke about taking up this huge project. "I always wanted to work in regional films because when we go to Tamil Nadu or Andhra Pradesh, we realise that people over there only watch films made by their local film industry. So there is a disconnect with that part of the country. I was waiting for a good opportunity to work over there and this film just came my way. I was working on my own biopic, but her (Jayalalithaa) story is very similar to my story. In fact, it is a bigger success story than mine. When I heard the narration of this film, I found many similarities between both the stories. So when I had the option to do a film based on her story or my story, I decided on the former.” She is also planning to take Tamil lessons to play the part correctly. Well, there is a reason we call her the 'Queen', after all .
  12. India was shaken to its core on February 14, 2019, when a JeM suicide bomber rammed his car into a CRPF bus and killed over 40 jawans, in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The whole nation mourned the loss and wept for the martyred jawans, but also came forward in large numbers to do whatever it takes to show that they stand strong with the jawans' families. © AP In another moving gesture, a 44-year-old blind scientist has now offered to donate Rs. 110 crores for the welfare of the martyred jawans' families. Murtaza A. Hamid, who hails from Kota and is currently based in Mumbai, has offered to give Rs. 110 crore from his taxable income to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. Reportedly, Hamid has even sent an e-mail to PMO seeking an appointment with PM Modi for the same. © Instagram "The inspiration to help and support those who lay down their lives for our motherland should be in the blood of every citizen of the country," said Hamid, who is blind since birth. Hamid is currently working as a researcher and scientist in Mumbai. In fact, Hamid regrets that his innovation wasn't recognised timely by the government, else tragic incidents like Pulwama attack could have been averted. © BCCL According to a report in The Times of India, Hamid claims that he created 'Fuel Burn Radiation Technology' which helps to trace and locate any vehicle or object without GPS, camera or any other technical equipment. He forwarded the proposal to hand it over to the government and National Highways Authority of India free of cost, in 2016 but he got the approval in 2018. From celebrities to commoners, everyone has been raising funds for the Pulwama martyrs' families. Be it through Bharat Ke Veer, donating their salaries to cancelling their wedding reception to donate money; people have proved to be like a big family, who have each others' back. 13. The nation saw a star in the making when a 20-year-old PV Sindhu stepped up to the occasion in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and went head-to-head against Spain's Carolina Marin in the match of a lifetime, was overwhelmed by the experienced Spaniard and won the silver medal in the Badminton women's finals. © Reuters Since then, Sindhu has dominated women's badminton. Winning significant awards like the silver medal in singles and the gold in mixed doubles during the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, she had established herself as one of the greatest, most talented sportswomen in the world. But, it was time for her to get paid for her greatness and China's sports accessories giant Li-Ning realised her true worth. Sindhu, who was once a brand ambassador for the Chinese brand back in 2014-15, signed with the brand for the second time in 2019. While back in the day, India looked at Saina Nehwal as the only successful female shuttler, now, this young Hyderabad-born prodigy has shown to the world that she is worth every penny (maybe even more?) as Nehwal. In this extremely lucrative four-year contract between Li-Ning and Sindhu, the star is going to be paid â¹40 crore as sponsorship money while approximately â¹10 cr. for equipment, making for a deal worth a sum total of a whopping â¹50 crore. © Reuters One of the biggest deals in Badminton, the handsome contact came Sindhu's way a month after Kidambi Srikanth signed a four-year â¹35 cr. deal with the same brand. Sindhu was ranked seventh on the Forbes List of the richest sportswomen of 2018 according to which, the shuttler was worth $8.5 million (Rs. 64 cr. approx.). Add this big fat paycheque to the mix and you've got yourself a really comfortable lifestyle. Sindhu's deal is remarkably similar to that of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who signed an eight-year deal with Puma for a total of â¹100 crore split in annual payouts, i.e., â¹12.5 crore per year.
  14. Vicky Kaushal is currently basking in the success of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' and he totally deserves all the praises being showered on him. 15. Frenkie de Jong is not the kind of name (at least, not yet) to be recognised at the sound of it. And, for a 21-year-old, who has five national caps with Netherlands and currently plies his trade in Eredivisie (Dutch football league), this youngster still has a long way to go to establish himself. That's generally the impression when a young and relatively inexperienced footballer comes to mind. But, this youngster is a class apart. One of Europe's most sought-after young players, De Jong had some of the biggest football clubs in the world chasing him with big bucks in the offering. Defending Premier League champions Manchester City were on their toes to secure his services, while Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain were willing to break the bank for the youngster. © Reuters But, after multiple interests and weeks of negotiations, the Dutch wonderkid eventually answered the call of Spanish football powerhouse Barcelona who outsmarted other clubs by splurging a staggering 75 million euros (a little over 605 crore in rupees), plus a further 11 million in variables for the next five seasons (through to 2023-24). So what really makes this youngster worth all that cheddar? Here's the answer. Touted as one of Europe's most promising midfield talents, the 21-year-old has proved himself as a polyvalent player with an excellent reading of the game and ability to provide that 'killer pass'. Honing his skills in the famed Willem II academy, De Jong had spent just a year in Tilburg when he caught the eye of Ajax who secured his signatures in 2015. © Reuters However, he was loaned back from Amsterdam to his former team to ensure he got enough playing time to fully reach his capabilities and develop as a player. The Dutchman, then, returned to Ajax to lead its reserve team in the Jupiler League. A year on from then, he earned first call-up for first team duty, and appeared for the final minutes of the Europa League final against Manchester United in 2017. From there on, De Jong became a regular face and eventually an essential part of the Ajax setup. ðµð´ Ajax talent Frenkie de Jong will join Barcelona in the summer on a five-year-deal... â¹ï¸ All you need to know about the new @FCBarcelona midfielder ððð — UEFA Champions League (@ChampionsLeague) January 23, 2019 To further bolster his resume, De Jong has lost possession with only 9.7 per cent of his touches in the Eredivisie since his debut - a lower percentage than any other player (minimum 500 touches) in that period. On the other hand, the youngster boasts of an impressive 91.8 per cent take-on (an attempt to regain possession) success rate and 91.6 per cent pass accuracy to strengthen his case. Frenkie de Jong, Ajax 18-19. Barcelona purchased one hell of a player. That price is eyewatering for a player from the Eredivisie, but given how many super clubs wanted him, it's not a huge surprise. pic.twitter.com/KRaXoWiOmf — Ted Knutson (@mixedknuts) January 23, 2019 Of the 177 players to have attempted more than 25 dribbles, De Jong has a better dribble success rate (86.2 per cent) than any other player since the start of the 2017/18 Eredivisie season. Apart from that, De Jong has not lost a single game in his last 10 matches (for both club and country). © Reuters Right footed and strong in the one-on-one duels, the Dutch wonderkid can play either as a defensive or attacking midfielder. His immaculate vision and natural ability to find the right pass in crunch situations is what makes him the perfect choice as a central playmaker. Other than that, he has the acceleration, craft, control, tactical nous and sharp decision-making abilities. All the necessary skills that'll make him fit into the Blaugrana midfield like hand-in-glove. "With the arrival of Frenkie De Jong we add talent, youth and Barça style to our sporting project. We are convinced that he will be a key part of our team for years to come," Josep Maria Bartomeu said after his deal. And, for all this young gun brings to the table, we couldn't agree more with the Barca president.

  17. Ninja, the prolific games streamer whose real name is Tyler Belvins, has been ruling the internet with streaming games online. Ninja was already a competitive Halo player for the year; however, he achieved new found success after streaming Fortnite with rapper Drake in 2018. © YouTube The success has obviously paid off and he told CNN in an interview that he made nearly $10 million (Almost Rs 70 Crore) in 2018. He told CNN in an interview that 70 percent of his earnings came from Twitch and YouTube via ads and subscriptions. 30 percent of his income came from sponsorship deals with companies like Samsung, Red Bull and Uber Eats. Let's not forget that Ninja's $10 million earning is probably before tax. However, it's still a lot of money for a streamer to make in 2018. Earlier in 2018, Ninja reported that he was making around $500,000 every month from various sources. © YouTube In the interview, Ninja mentioned that he spends around 12 hours each day streaming, and in 2018, he estimated he played over 4,000 hours of Fortnite. Ninja has also seen success in other areas such as a cover star of ESPN magazine and also made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's late night show. Fortnite and other Battle Royale games have been taking over the world for the past two years and it doesn't seem like the game will lose steam anytime soon. Life can throw you a curveball when you are least expecting it, but what do you do when the ball hits you smack in the face when you are sleeping, and realise upon waking that you are still living a nightmare? As per a BBC report, when Lin arrived home at 3 am on Sunday, he found out that his mother was unwell, and hence decided to drop off an order for her at a temple. 19. Given the spike in cybercrime where the end users are the most affected, most technology giants are always focused on keeping their platform or product secure to avoid any untoward cases. Our internet footprint is extremely large and with everything getting online, we entrust a huge part of ourselves online. To keep their products clean, tech giants have encouraged bug bounties and welcomed white hat hackers in the last decade. This rewarding stance of companies has created a new line of hackers, who intend to discover cracks in the system and then inform the admin so that a patch can be applied. This way, the hackers aren't legally penalised for the unauthorised entry, but rewarded for being ethical. © LinkedIn / Sahad NK Sahad NK, who works as a security researcher with cybersecurity portal Safetydetective.com, came across multiple vulnerabilities that left over 400 million Microsoft users' accounts, from Office 365 to Outlook emails, open to intrusion. When these vulnerabilities are chained together, an attacker can take over any Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Store, or Microsoft Sway account simply via the victim clicking on a link. © Reuters "Immediately after finding these vulnerabilities, we contacted Microsoft via their responsible disclosure programme and started working with them," said Safetydetective on Tuesday. Microsoft was informed about the susceptibility in June and then a patch was in place by November. "While the vulnerability proof of concept was only made for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Sway, we expect it to affect all Microsoft accounts including Microsoft Store," said Sahad. © Safetydetective A Microsoft operated subdomain "success.office.com" wasn't configured properly and the same bug was also found in Microsoft Office, Store and Sway products. Since the subdomain belongs to Office.com, a majority of the safety tools like anti-virus and malicious link detectors failed to flag it as unsafe. Even when clicking the link, the user was transiting through an official Microsoft domain. © Reuters Sahad, along with a fellow researcher Paulos Yibelo, reported the bug to Microsoft who, after fixing the bug, awarded them with an unspecified amount as bug bounty. "Anyone's Office account, even enterprise and corporate accounts, including their email, documents and other files, could have been easily accessed by a malicious attacker, and it would have been near-impossible to discern from a legitimate user," TechCrunch said. 20. Everyone knows that if you have a big Bollywood star in a movie, it's going to easily cross the 100 crore club, the 200 crore club or the 300 crore club, and it doesn't matter if it's even a good movie or not ('Race 3' and 'Thugs of Hindostan', I'm looking at you) But, all that usually happens after the movie. However, things are different in the case of '2.0', as you need some real star power to recover almost the entire budget before the movie has even hit the theatres. Yep, it seems like only Rajinikanth has the power to do that, and adding Akshay Kumar in the equation has its benefits as well. lyca productions '2.0' is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and apparently the costliest movie as well. With a budget of about 530 crores, the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer is the most expensive movie to come out of India, surpassing even the two 'Baahubali' films. lyca productions With a crazy budget like that, forget profit, you would think that it's going to be an enormous task to just recover all the money back, but nope, the makers didn't even have to wait for the release of the movie to earn mone Reportedly, the movie has already earned about 490 crores. Yep, that means only about 40 crores to go, which seems no big deal at all. #2Point0 TN Pre-release Theaterical total advance is valued the highest in Tamil Cinema.. Nearly â¹ 120 Crs.. Those days are long gone, new entrants in the market have completely changed the dynamics in the last few years and homegrown brands are nowhere to be seen. The top four smartphone brands in India include Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, OPPO, and Huawei. Out of these, only Samsung is from South Korea, and all others are based out of China. 24. Looks like 2018 so far has been a great year for Bollywood movies, money wise. There have been a bunch of hit movies and also some really terrible ones that basically sucked, but still managed to join the elite 100 Crore Club for no apparent reason. (I'm lying, I know the reason, some people prefer mediocrity over actually good movies with substance) So, here's a list of all the movies that a lot of people wanted to see and well, that worked out in the favour of the makers because, let's just say, these movies made a shit ton of money. Here's the list of Bollywood movies to cross Rs. 100 crores in 2018 so far: 1. Padmaavat I mean, after all the controversies and so much hate and riots, if this didn't do well at the box office, we all should've really been worried about the universe being broken. After its release, it became one of the fastest 100 crore earner ever by managing to earn a whopping amount of Rs. 166.50 crore within a week. It even went on to collect around 500 crores overall, and I feel like a lot of people just went to see what the hype was all about and why some people wanted to cut off Deepika Padukone's nose. 2. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety I don't think people initially expected this movie to do so well, but hey, we were all in for a pleasant surprise. The movie ended up crossing the 100 crore mark within a month of its release. 3. Raid Ajay Devgn's 'Raid' has a lifetime collection of Rs. 103.07 crore at the box office so it just tipped over and its way into the club. 4. Baaghi 2 People love Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani for their respective talents, but they love them, even more, when they're together, so this movie was destined to do well from the beginning as it seems. By being a truly entertaining movie, it managed to collect about Rs. 164.38 crore. 5. Raazi Everyone loves Alia Bhatt and everyone loves Vicky Kaushal, and when you add a kickass storyline with some stellar acting, the movie honestly starts selling itself. The movie ended up getting great reviews and joined the Rs. 100 crore club in less than a month. 6. Sanju This one shouldn't really surprise anyone, to be honest, since 'Sanju' is like the movie of the year. The movie was watched by people who love Bollywood, and also by those who don't, but it was applauded equally by everyone. The movie has not only earned more than Rs.100 crores, it has also made its way into the top 10 highest grossing Indian movies, not just Bollywood movies. 7. Race 3 Now, this one doesn't surprise me, but it disappoints me immensely. But, what can you do, people can't help but watch Salman Khan movies, apparently. The movie has reportedly earned more than Rs.166 crores at the Box Office and mediocrity won! 8. Stree Another surprise hit, but we all know how great of an actor Rajkummar Rao is and his movies deserve at least one watch. The movie ended up crossing the Rs.100 crore mark within three weeks after some great reviews. 9. Gold Of course, the list wouldn't have been complete without Akshay Kumar and he literally struck gold with 'Gold'. The movie has a total collection of over Rs. 105 crores. 10. Veere Di Wedding I don't think people liked the movie that much, but with such a huge star cast, everyone was curious about it and well, it paid off. The movie has reportedly earned over Rs. 138.80 crores.
  25. Usually, when there are manufacturing defects in products, their value decreases - or at least so we thought. But things in fashion work differently, as we have always maintained. The biggest proof of this is a pair of Nike sneakers, that costs a whopping $146,000, which when translated to INR, is more than a crore. Take a look at the pair. © Instagram/highsnobiety This pair of 'Reverse Shattered Backboard' Air Jordan from Nike costs a bomb because of a manufacturing defect, which is the presence of a reverse swoosh. Usually, the signature swoosh in the Nike branding is always upright, but in this case, it is upside down. A lucky mistake? © Instagram/highsnobiety Andrea Canziani, a sneaker enthusiast, ordered this pair online, and when the shoes arrived, he discovered that one had the swoosh in reverse. The pair, a US size 7, meant hitting the jackpot for him. Usually, a factory flaw translates to lowering down of the product's price, because of obvious reasons. But in this case, it transformed this pair into a collectable, thereby rendering it expensive beyond sale logic. Earlier this year too, a similar incident had happened, where a pair of Nike Air Jordan 'Gold Toe' arrived with a similar flaw. That particular pair sold for a rumoured $96,000 (around INR 69 lakhs).
