  1. Ever since the teaser of 'Kalank' was dropped, Varun Dhawan has been in the news for his super intense role as 'Zafar The Bullfighter'. With never-before-seen intensity, Varun's appearance in the trailer gave viewers all the 'Bahubali' feels during the bull-fight sequence, however, there is one more reason why fans have been super curious about Varun since the past few days. When he stepped out in a super classy ivory Manish Malhotra sherwani, all eyes went behind his left ear, because there was a brand new tattoo there. Take a look. © Instagram/Varundvn He got a number tattooed - '24'. Now, we too were perplexed to begin with, about what it means, just like you probably are right now. © Viral Bhayani We eavesdropped on the gossip mills, but to no avail. While some claimed that this is the date on which he'll get married, others quipped that a major movie is about to release on this date. But we know that 'Kalank' is releasing on April 19th, and it just didn't make sense. Plus, there has been no announcement about a wedding, yet. Right, Ms Dalal? © Instagram/Varundvn 24 is not his age as well (he's 31 already). After a lot of thinking, the only conclusion we could draw was that it's his birthday. Varun's birthday is on 24th April. But, isn't is a little, err, random? Well, we tried to find an answer and this is the best we could come up with. © Viral Bhayani` We're not giving up yet and are soon going to solve the mystery. Unless Varun reads this and decides to tell us himself. Are you reading, Varun?
  2. Varun Dhawan is currently in London shooting for his upcoming film, 'Street Dancer', and so are Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and the other cast and crew members of the film. And we all know by now that when there's Nora Fatehi, dance-offs are bound to happen especially when the entire movie is all about dancing. View this post on Instagram 𥶠#sd3 A post shared by Varun Dhawan (@varundvn) on Feb 12, 2019 at 9:16am PST Recently, Varun Dhawan competed with his co-stars Nora Fatehi and Sheetal Pery in a twerking challenge and won it like a pro. Nora Fatehi is a brilliant dancer and twerking is child's play for her. But, we're sure no one expected Varun Dhawan to give Nora a run for her own money, with his epic twerk on 'Taki Taki'. © Instagram Varun captioned the post, "I often get challenged to twerk competitions on 'Street Dancer' and I will do anything to win." Not just us, Varun's fans are equally impressed with his moves. View this post on Instagram I often get challenged to twerk competitions on #streerdancer3d and I will do anything to win @norafatehi @pery_sheetal17 #takitaki A post shared by Varun Dhawan (@varundvn) on Mar 4, 2019 at 1:57am PST Directed by Remo D'Souza, 'Street Dancer' is said to be India's biggest dance film that will be made in 3D format. Apart from Varun, Shraddha and Nora, 'Street Dancer' also stars Prabhu Deva, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak, Dharmesh Yelande, Shakti Mohan and Aparshakti Khurana. Apart from 'Street Dancer', Varun will also be seen in 'Kalank'. Shraddha Kapoor is working on 'Saaho' opposite Prabhas and on a biopic on Saina Nehwal. It has been raining Bollywood projects for Nora Fatehi, who belly danced her way into our hearts with 'Dilbar' version 2.0 from 'Satyameva Jayate'.
  3. During his early days, Shikhar Dhawan was busy plying his trade for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy. The left-hander was busy honing his skills as a batsman and soon became a vital cog for his side in domestic cricket. While his batting prowess was gaining recognition, Dhawan's uncanny nature, clubbed with wit and humour, also entertained everyone around him. As his fellow players often recall, Dhawan was infamous for reciting the dialogues of Bollywood blockbuster 'Sholay' during the domestic matches which further saw him earning the nickname 'Gabbar'. For a man whose typical 'Kabaddi' celebrations are cheered by fans, Dhawan gave his followers another gem to cheer for on the social media. "Jatt Shaunkiyaa tey Shaunk poore karda. #horsebackriding #horseriding #learninghorseriding #tuesdaythoughts #TuesdayMotivation," he captioned the video. While Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja reigns supreme when it comes to his love for horses, Dhawan's latest horse-riding video has also struck a chord with the fans. 4. In what turned out to be one of the deadliest terror strikes in recent times, a 20-year-old suicide bomber from Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) sent India and a billion citizens into a state of mourning after carrying out a ghastly strike that led to the demise of more than 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans in the Awantipora town of the Pulwama district, on 14th February 2019. While the horrendous attack has disrupted peace in the country, at the same time, it has united India against the common evil of terrorism. Amid the ever-growing calls for revenge, there has been continuous support for the grieving families who lost their loved ones in Pulwama. While Amitabh Bachchan has announced a donation of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the slain CRPF jawans, Virender Sehwag offered educational support to their children. Joining the burgeoning list of benefactors, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan also came forward to aid the troubled families as a mark of respect for the Indian soldiers. Taking to Facebook, Dhawan shared an emotional video where he was seen praising the CRPF martyrs for laying down their lives for the country. He also vowed to make a donation for the victims and their families while urging others to join the humanitarian cause. Apart from Dhawan, Faiz Fazal-led Vidarbha also made a heartfelt gesture towards the families of the martyrs by donating their prize money after winning the Irani Cup following their triumph over Rest of India.
  5. In the world of cricket, there's nothing better than the batsmen producing the sweet sound of the bat after hitting the ball in the middle and the bowlers sending the stumps cart-wheeling across the ground. And, the first Twenty20 International (T20I) between India and New Zealand in Wellington produced both of those things. The thunderous strokes of Tim Seifert had the entire Indian bowling running for cover early on. The 24-year-old, smashing a 43-ball 84, powered the hosts to a mammoth total of 219 and ensured the opposition bowlers couldn't catch a break. © Twitter If the youngster's brilliant batting display impressed the fans, Lockie Ferguson's speed and accuracy with the ball had the social media buzzing. The 27-year-old didn't get a chance to bat, but during India's run-chase, Ferguson played a key role for his side. Even before coming into the attack, Ferguson made his presence felt through a spectacular fielding effort that cut short Rohit Sharma's stay at the crease. Covering significant ground from deep square leg, Ferguson dived forward to pull off a brilliant catch that gave the hosts an early breakthrough. Woah. 150.8km Yorker by Ferguson #NZvIND #T20 @BLACKCAPS pic.twitter.com/TUaggsrXMN — Bas Bolyn (@basbolyn) February 6, 2019 But, Ferguson's best came in the sixth over when he sent Shikhar Dhawan packing. The Indian opener was looking in ominous form and he had just smashed a boundary after slicing the ball over backward point. But, Dhawan had no answer for the next delivery. Exacting revenge, Ferguson bowled a searing 151 kmph, toe-crushing yorker that castled the stumps, much before Dhawan could react or do anything about it. The right-arm seamer struck again in the 18th over to dismiss Bhuvneshwar Kumar and finished his spell with impressive figures of 2-22 to help his side win the match by 80 runs, but his dismissal of Dhawan was arguably the one that struck a chord with cricket fans who were left in awe of the Kiwi paceman. 6. Team India claimed victory against New Zealand in the ODI series by 4-1, after winning the 5th ODI by 35 runs. India's victory filled the stadium with cheers for the team and Shikhar Dhawan concluded the celebrations in the coolest way possible. If India's victory on Kiwi soil after 10 years wasn't great enough, Shikhar Dhawan's dance just made it more special for everyone present on the ground and those watching it on TV. Twitter/ Circle Of Cricket Dhawan, who was also the second highest scorer after Ambati Rayudu in the series, was walking on the ground after the post-match presentation when he suddenly stopped and started doing the Bhangra on the beats of Bharat Army's dhol. 7. Back in 2013, Shikhar Dhawan stunned all the spectators and commentators when he stroked his way to the fastest Test hundred by a debutant. Prior to that, the Delhi cricketer had spent eight years in the first-class cricket, patiently waiting for an opportunity to make his mark. For a man who was written off by almost everyone to get a national call-up, Dhawan has surely come a long way to become one of India's preferred openers across formats. Today, in partnership with Rohit Sharma, Dhawan has earned the tag of one of the most feared opening pair in limited-overs cricket. © Twitter From flaying those exquisite cover drives to effortlessly pulling the bowlers for a six, Dhawan has established himself as a pivotal member of the new-age Indian line-up. His batting prowess was in full display during the T20I series in Australia where his consistent performances also earned him the 'Man of the Series' honour. Carrying his blistering form to New Zealand, the 33-year-old was seen playing his shots with relative ease during India's chase of 157 runs at the McLean Park in Napier. The Indian opener continued his fine run, bringing up his 26th ODI fifty in the 23rd over. And, en route his half-century, Dhawan also added another feather to his cap as he reached 5,000 runs in the 50-over format. © Twitter In the process, Dhawan became the second fastest Indian to achieve the milestone. The Indian batsman took 118 innings to bring up his 5,000 ODI runs, beating Sourav Ganguly who took 126 innings to get there. Dhawan is also levelled with West Indian legend Brian Lara who also reached his 5,000 ODI runs in 118 innings. ð¨ MILESTONE ALERT ð¨ Shikhar Dhawan becomes the second fastest Indian to 5,000 ODI runs in the first ODI against New Zealand.#NZvIND LIVE ð https://t.co/Wslkq5ocbd pic.twitter.com/p7nNkSsNoz — ICC (@ICC) January 23, 2019 While Virat Kohli continues to be the fastest Indian to the 5000-run mark as he achieved the feat in 114 innings, Hashim Amla leads the overall list as he took just 101 innings to reach the milestone. At the time of writing this article, India were cruising in their run-chase at 123/1 in 26 overs with Dhawan (60) and Kohli (41) forging a partnership out in the middle.
  8. Following their historic outing in Australia, the Indian cricket team is all set to embark on a new challenge before they head to England for the all-important ICC World Cup. The Virat Kohli brigade will now travel to New Zealand where they'll lock horns with the Kiwis in a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series. And, as the Indian team gears up for their first clash, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has given a glimpse of how he is preparing for the upcoming tour. Taking to Instagram, the Delhi cricketer shared a video of himself sweating it out in the gym. The left-hander was seen pulling off dead-lifts and back row during a training session. While 'Gabbar' was making the most of the team's training session, his teammates Kedar Jadhav and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen mocking the opening batsman with their dance moves in the background. View this post on Instagram No shortcuts to hardwork! Only hardwork can make success look easy. #success #hardwork #mehnat #noshortcuts #MondayMotivation A post shared by Shikhar Dhawan (@shikhardofficial) on Jan 20, 2019 at 9:14pm PST On the cricket front, Dhawan had a pretty decent tour of Australia. His batting prowess was in full display during the three-match T20I series where he was also adjudged the 'Man of the Series'. However, the left-hander, despite getting some starts, couldn't replicate his success in the ODI series. Exercising with such power and intensity, Dhawan seems to have set his sight on tearing the Kiwis bowling line-up apart when Team India takes on New Zealand in the 1st ODI at the McLean Park on 23rd January.
  9. 'Andaz Apna Apna' is not just a great classic comedy movie but is considered a cult and an iconic movie from 1994. No forced laughter, subtle humour and a light hearted treat packed with a few punches in the form of dialogues. The movie starred Raveena Tandon , Karisma Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the lead. Years later when remakes are in fashion and from songs to movies, everything is getting a millennial spin of its own, then how can this comedy be far behind? According to a report in Filmfare, the iconic comedy is all set to be reprised with none other than Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. View this post on Instagram @varundvn #biggestfan #mylovevarun #everything #Hskd #Mth #Soty #Judwaa2 #Badlapur #Dishoom #Varunlove #Varunworld #Abcd2 #varundhawan #Mrlovesong #Bollywood #Starvarun #luvuvarunð . . @ranveersingh #ranveersingh #ranveer_ka_fan_club #Baba #Padmavati #Befikre #Dildhadkanedo #Kildil #Ramleela #Bajiraomastani #Lootera #Ladiesvsrickybahl #Ranveerlovers #Ranveerlove #Bandbajabarat #Hot #Body #Shirtless #Sexy #Deepveer #Baba_luvu #Ranveer_Luv_Uð A post shared by Varun_Ranveer_Fanclubð (@varun_ranveer.no1) on Mar 14, 2018 at 4:41am PDT Varun is no amateur when it comes to remakes as he has already proved his mettle with 'Judwaa 2' and Ranveer Singh will be a breath of fresh air when we see him in a light hearted comic caper after all those serious movies which he has done. According to sources, “Producers Vinay and Priti Sinha are planning to do Andaz Apna Apna. It won't be a sequel or remake. Nor will Raj Kumar Santoshi direct it. While they have not decided yet what exactly it will be, they are sure it won't be a remake or a sequel but something as exciting. Raj Kumar Santoshi's Andaz Apna Apna, starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor, was a cult movie and one cannot mess with the original. One should not touch such a great film and that too 25 years later and destroy it by a remake or sequel. The director is yet to be finalised. AAA reloaded will be a big film and the makers are treading cautiously as they want to finalise everything before making an announcement. Ranveer and Varun, have been approached for their comic flair to play Amar and Prem – who again will be happy-go-lucky characters but not what we saw in the 1994 movie. Both are good friends off screen and will be able to carry off their roles with ease. This will be set in 2019 and promises to be another laugh riot yet with underlying emotions. While the iconic character of Crime Master Gogo (played by Shakti Kapoor earlier) will also make a comeback with a contemporary actor and his character will be more stylised and modern.” © Instagram Who will play the lead actresses is the main question and we really hope the makers consider Sara Ali Khan for one of the roles as the beautiful actress has already won hearts with her skill and looks. Though remakes are a risky business, we trust our 'baba' and Varun to do a good job.
  10. The 'ABCD' franchise, which is Bollywood's own version of the 'Step Up' movies, is coming back with its third instalment. The makers mean some serious business with this one, as one of the hottest and most fabulous dancers in show business, Nora Fatehi has been signed up for a pivotal role opposite Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. She's one of the most hard working and driven human being that I have ever meet. Welcome to the gang. Gonna feed u cheese and dance with u. Hey @Norafatehi we gonnna kick up a storm. #3iscoming https://t.co/j57NVavcG2 — Varun Dhawan (@Varun_dvn) January 9, 2019 The movie is being helmed by Remo D'Souza and interestingly, Nora stepped in after Katrina Kaif walked out of the dance movie. The reason was her overpacked schedule for Salman Khan's 'Bharat'. The movie is being touted as the biggest Bollywood dance movie ever and will also star ace dancer and choreographer Prabhudeva. The movie is hitting floors and is yet to have a release date. Nora is a super fine dancer and was last seen dancing to 'Kamariya' from 'Stree'. This will be one interesting movie to look out for.
  11. Diwali is around the corner, and most of our homies are struggling to sort out outfits that will do justice to the festive mood. However, most people don't have an idea in terms of what to go for, other than the super safe kurta-pyjama. While that is a staple, there are other pieces too one can wear, just like Varun Dhawan has been. Take a look. 1. Yes, white is safe, but it doesn't have to be boring. Varun's white Bandhgala on top of a white kurta-pyjama is an absolutely classy ensemble that will definitely make heads turn. © IANS 2. Yellow as a colour is essentially festive, and when you wear it with a pair off-white pyjamas and pair it with shoes, a sophisticated outfit is created. © Instagram/Varun Dhawan 3. 12. When it comes to iconic movies, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' will definitely secure a spot in the top 10 list in Bollywood. This KJo potboiler had everything a Bollywood movie should have- drama, good music, trendsetting style statements, and tearjerker moments. We all grew up with the distinctive memories of Rahul, Anjali, and Tina. Clearly, Bollywood star kids are no different when it comes to their appetite for entertainment. The best example probably is Varun Dhawan, who proved it last night. He attended the 20th anniversary bash of 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', wearing a super fun custom-made T-shirt dedicated to the movie. Take a look: © Viral Bhayani Now, you must be thinking why does the T-shirt say 'uncool' and what can it possibly have to do with the movie? Take a look at the next picture. © Viral Bhayani Ta-Da! 13. Often labelled as one of the most exciting and fiery draws in international cricket, the Super Four clash between India and Pakistan in the 2018 Asia Cup on 23rd September, failed to live up to the expectations, just like it did in the group stage earlier. Expected to be a livewire, Sunday's clash was nothing more than a damp squib. After a dismal show in the group-stage tie, the Pakistani cricket team was expected to take the field against India with more vigour, but it soon turned out to be yet another mediocre performance by Sarfraz Ahmed and his boys. Failing to negate the Indian bowlers, Pakistan crawled their way to a below-par total of 237 runs. And, while defending their score, Pakistan ran into the formidable opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, who ensured India didn't break a sweat to secure an emphatic nine-wicket win. Making a mockery of Pakistan's bowling attack, Rohit and Dhawan looked in majestic touch during their record-breaking 210-run opening stand, that laid the foundation of India's triumph in Dubai. Arguably one of the most prolific opening pairs in the modern era, Rohit and Dhawan eclipsed the 201-run partnership between Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag (against New Zealand in 2009) to register the highest opening stand by an Indian pair in run-chases. © Reuters It was India's biggest opening partnership against Pakistan in ODIs. The opening pair of Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar previously held that record for their 159-run stand recorded in 1998. When it comes to the Asia Cup, the partnership between Rohit and Dhawan was also the highest opening stand in the history of the tournament. While Dhawan played a blistering knock of 114 runs before eventually being run-out in the latter stages of the game, Rohit remained unbeaten on 111 runs and cruised the Indian ship to a convincing victory. Though the Indian bowlers proved pivotal in the match, it was undoubtedly the 'Hitman & Gabbar Show' that completely nullified Pakistan. Ravi Shastri presents the Hitman & Gabbar Show. What happens when coach @RaviShastriOfc turns presenter and does a rendezvous with captain @ImRo45 & @SDhawan25 ? You wouldn't want to miss this - by @28anand ð¹ð¹https://t.co/M8N2oSkwhN pic.twitter.com/gkP4PaKDQJ — BCCI (@BCCI) September 24, 2018 But, giving India a flying start and hitting the opposition bowlers to all ends of the ground isn't the only thing that this Indian pair is good at. Batting together at the top for India over the years, Rohit and Dhawan share a good rapport and complement each other both on and off the field. Following their triumph over arch-rivals Pakistan, the Indian openers were seen engrossed in a candid chat with coach Ravi Shastri. In a video shot by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Shastri switched his role from being a coach to a presenter, as Rohit and Dhawan revealed inside secrets about each other. © Twitter/@BCCI The prolific form of Rohit and Dhawan has been pivotal in India's unbeaten run at the Asia Cup. While Dhawan has amassed 327 runs including two hundreds in four games, Rohit has slammed 269 runs including two fifties and a ton in the tournament. And, the fact that these two batsmen currently lead the list of top run-getters in this year's Asia Cup goes on to show how good they have been for India. The two marauding openers will once again be expected to carry the baton for India when they take on Afghanistan on 25th September. Having decimated Pakistan, Team India has virtually secured their berth for the tournament's final which is scheduled to take place on 28th September..
  14. Though nothing can beat the Anushka memes when it comes to the promotions (a happy accident, this one) of 'Sui Dhaaga', homeboy Varun Dhawan isn't taking any chances. He has been going all out - right from wearing tri-coloured T-shirts that say 'Made In India' to showing off his sewing skills in reality TV shows, Varun clearly is as dedicated as 'Mauji' is. Probably that's why he got himself a super hypebeast-y jersey (or is that a delightful spin on the longline T-shirt?) that says 'Mauji'? © Viral Bhayani The red and white jersey with black detailing is exactly the kind of playful number that new age streetstyle is all about. It fits the streets, the ramp, as well as the football field. © Viral Bhayani However, what stole our focus away from the 'Mauji' jersey were the shoes he is wearing. Varun is sporting a pair of edgy black studded boots from Givenchy. The statement high tops are a pair that are totally capable of stealing the thunder of all other pairs around it. Take a look. © Instagram Along with the boots, his black ribbed leather finish pants from Balmain are just the kind of pants that go with an outfit as statement as the one he's wearing. Let's just say his stylists Priyanka and Kazim of 'The Vainglorious' really know how to pull all the stops out. © Viral Bhayani All we can say is that we're loving the quirk Varun is bringing along with all his outfits these days. Well done!
  15. You know your movie isn't going in the direction you want it to when people talk about memes more than the plot or the performance of the protagonists. And no one can understand this better than Anushka Sharma, who has been the favourite muse of trolls since the day the trailer of 'Sui Dhaaga' was released. © Yash Raj Films I know we shouldn't be making fun of Anushka or the movie, but I have to admit it guys, these memes are pure gold and the people creating them are f**king genius. And if someone tells you they don't know what 'Sui Dhaaga' is or why people are going crazy over the memes, look at them closely because that's how a liar looks like. There is no way on earth that people haven't seen the memes, but if there's anyone who was living under a rock all this time, these are what we're talking about. In fact, he has a new name for Anushka and it is 'Memes Ki Rani' and we couldn't agree with him more. Varun even shared one of the golden memes. #MEMESkirani #mamta hhahaha https://t.co/vtaLSUf1lP — Varun MAUJI Dhawan (@Varun_dvn) August 29, 2018 Folks, let's be honest, no matter how many times people say "Ok, one last meme", the truth is we just don't want them to stop. What do you think?
  16. Varun Dhawan's latest movie 'Sui Dhaaga' has already generated enough buzz with its trailer that most movies fail to get even after the release (courtesy poor Anushka and the memes). As if that wasn't enough, he clearly has taken it upon himself to continue with it, in ways that are subtle but effective nonetheless. His latest airport appearance is proof, where he was spotted strolling out of the airport with a huge multicoloured turban on his head. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Varun clearly has developed a strong affinity for Indian weaves and fabrics. The casual pink kurta he's wearing over his grey trousers is the perfect summer wear, when it comes to Indian ethnic wear. © Viral Bhayani The best thing about Varun's look is that it's delightfully desi, while not being overbearing at the slightest. Anyone who digs the 'cultured boy next door' vibe, will approve in a heartbeat. © Viral Bhayani While we completely dig the relaxed vibe, we aren't quite sure about the choice of shoes with that outfit. But well, the way he has just let his trousers hang loose over them shows he clearly is absolutely comfortable with how it has turned out, and sometimes that's all that matters, isn't it? © Viral Bhayani Coming to the 'hero' piece, we are completely in love with the multicoloured 'pagdi' he's sporting. The hues of magenta and blue are doing wonders to give it that playful, festive vibe, and Varun is all about that TBH - perhaps he even tried to physically emulate that bit of his personality through an accessory? © Viral Bhayani All we can say is we dig the look. Go for it, Varun!
  17. I don't think there's anyone who doesn't know about the upcoming Bollywood movie 'Sui Dhaaga'. Even before its release, the movie is trending on social media, not because of its brilliant trailer but for Anushka Sharma memes. The trip we all dreamed of! . . #memes #haha #funnymemes #sarcasm ##goa #trip #letsgo #parents #struggle #meme #meme #happiness #finally #wanderlust #pain #discussion #dialogue #anushkasharma #suidhaaga #letsdothis #keepitcoming #more #better #fun #travel A post shared by Ishita Mathur (@ishitamathur9) on Aug 14, 2018 at 5:49am PDT However, keeping her priceless expression aside today we're going to talk about Mauji, the new tailor in town. Varun Dhawan is one of the most hard working actors in Bollywood right now and with each passing day or should we say with each movie, he's proving his mettle to the world. YRF Varun Dhawan plays Mauji, a tailor in the film and for this he practiced tailoring for three months. He attended workshops to perfect his sewing and stitching skills and become a real 'darzi'. Yash Raj Films shared this behind-the-scenes video on YouTube and Varun too shared it on his Instagram and wrote, "Three months of training, learning and becoming Mauji! Thanks to Darshan (the costume designer) and Noor bhai (the tailor on the sets), I can finally say I now know how to stitch." As a part of this training session, Varun stitched a blouse, a shirt and a pant and is now sort of a bonafide tailor who can probably open his own 'Mad In India' clothing line if he wants to. In fact, Varun even made a shirt for his father David Dhawan and gifted him on his birthday. Directed by Sharat Katariya, 'Sui Dhaaga' is a heartwarming tale of Mauji and his wife Mamta (Anushka Sharma) and their struggle of becoming self-employed. The movie is releasing on September 28.
  18. Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan's 'Sui Dhaaga' trailer dropped yesterday and so did our jaws after we saw how brilliant it was. From Varun and Anushka's crackling chemistry to highlighting a small town couple's struggle to chase their dreams, the trailer has all the ingredients for a blockbuster. YRF On one hand, where half the world was busy applauding Anushka, Varun and the director of 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' for giving us a movie like 'Sui Dhaaga - Made In India', Twitter on the other hand was busy doing what it does best - churn out hilarious memes out of anything and everything. And this movie wasn't spared either. Just like the trailer, the memes too are pure gold. His wife Mamta (an embroider) suggests he does something of his own and that's when the duo begins their struggle to achieve their dreams and come up with their own Sui Dhaaga, which is 'Mad In India'. In case you missed the trailer, you can watch it here.
  19. How often have you come across a trailer, that has every element in it to make it look like a promising blockbuster film? The trailer for Varun Dhawan & Anushka Sharma's 'Sui Dhaaga' Trailer falls under that category, as you are hooked right till the very last second. © YRF Coming from 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha's Sharat Katariya, the movie has already grabbed everyone's attention and the new jodi on the block looks intriguing. This small town movie is filled with budding romance, the chaos of daily life and life's many ups and down. © YRF The movie teaches us some perfect life lessons, giving us all that we need for a motivational Monday. Yes, we already love the theme, the vibe, the screenplay and obviously, the actors. Donning role of Mauji is Varun, a tailor from Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh who is married to an embroidery expert Mamta played by Anushka. The two are still trying to discover each other but the household work makes it impossible for the duo to find the time to do so. © YRF The movie is about finding your path, respecting your roots and finding love and admiration for each other in the process. © YRF Needless to say, the movie is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy and campaign for Indian-made products and clothing, that changed the phase of India. © YRF The trailer takes us through Mamta and Mauji's journey that is simple yet incredible. Mauji, who can't find a job as a tailor sells sewing machines for a living and he is often insulted and mistreated by his employer. © YRF Mamta hates the way her husband is treated and can't help but break down in front of him. She then insists that he starts something of his own and together, they embark on a new journey. However, their new expedition is full of struggle as making it on your own is never easy. © YRF But they stand together and fight for something that is their own. Sharat Katariya's movie is beautiful in its own way and a story that millions of Indians will definitely connect with. © YRF Get ready to witness the hustle-bustle of a common family, and the couple's constant grapple to get close to each other and achieve what they have started. The movie looks promising and worth a watch. © YRF Varun is exceptional and Anushka, as his wife, is the glue keeping everything together. This new couple will give rise to various emotions within you and be prepared for that. Check out the trailer here: The movie will hit the screens on 28th September 2018
  20. Virat Kohli and Co., who are set to go against England in the five-match Test series that starts on August 1 at Edgbaston, have been warming up by playing a three-day practice match against Essex in Chelmsford. Although their game did not pan out the way they wanted and ended abruptly thanks to the heavy downpour, skipper Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan made sure that they enjoy their last day in the county to the fullest. How? By doing the Bhangra to the beats of the dhol, of course! Twitter In a moving gesture, the Indian cricket team were welcomed on the field to the beats of dhol. And we all know that when you have Team India's livewires aka Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan and the dhol in the same vicinity, their inner 'Dilli Ka Munda' will take over them and that's exactly what happened. Twitter Kohli and Dhawan put their dancing shoes on and showed off their killer moves as they walked onto the field. The official Twitter account of Essex Cricket shared the video with the caption, "Two BCCI players have enjoyed their time at Chelmsford! Well played!" Well played, @imVkohli & @SDhawan25! ððð#ESSvIND pic.twitter.com/Uz8W7p2xoh — Essex Cricket (@EssexCricket) July 27, 2018 In terms of the game, India failed to bowl out Essex in 94 overs, and given the poor batting form of some really good players, the fans were slightly disappointed with their performance. We hope the team works on their form to take down England in the Test series.
  21. Looks like we just found Bollywood's new dancing jodi and they look pretty cool together! Varun Dhawan and Vaani Kapoor had an amazing time last night hitting the dance floor together, as the two danced like nobody's watching, grabbing eyeballs with their awesome moves. © Instagram Taking to the dance floor at Bhumi Pednekar's birthday bash, the two grooved away on 'Nashe Si Chad Gayi' from Vaani's movie 'Befikre'. Though we would have loved to see Ranveer Singh himself, who starred in the movie, blowing minds with his drop-dead sexy moves, Varun was no less. © Yash Raj Films It was amazing to see them letting their hair down, probably because this is the first time they have ever been spotted together. Which brings us to the point that, they indeed make a great jodi. Looking at their on-floor chemistry we can say for sure that they would put the screen on-fire as well, if given a chance. We are loving this new pair and can't wait to see if someone will soon cast them together. Maybe, Karan Johar, as the filmmaker himself was present at the birthday bash. Check out the amazing video that is making the internet crazy here: @nikhilthampi insta story Varun Dhawan dancing with Vaani Kapoor at Bhumi's Birthday Bash. @varundvn @_vaanikapoor_ #VD #VarunDhawan #VarunDvn #Varun A post shared by VARUNâ¡DHAWANâ¡FANð (@varundvn__.fanturkey) on Jul 18, 2018 at 6:37am PDT On the work front, Varun is busy with his upcoming film 'Sui Dhaaga' with Anushka Sharma, and an untitled dance flick with Katrina Kaif. Meanwhile, Vaani will soon be seen in a dance-action movie alongside Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan.
  22. Meeting your partner's parents can be harrowing, especially if it's for the first time. Plus, if you want them to approve of you (of course you do), leaving a good first impression is a prerequisite. Conversations come later, as the first step to ensure that they are bowled over by how charming and well-behaved (!) you are, is by choosing your outfit sagaciously. Wear something that will bowl them over, even before you've uttered a word. Varun Dhawan just happened to have stepped out in an outfit exactly like that, which checks all of those checklists. Take a look: © Viral Bhayani You know what parents want to know? That you're not lazy and don't shy away from putting in effort, in any area whatsoever. A three-piece suit screams of class, and the fact that you consciously 'make an effort'. Plus, it is very sophisticated. You just can't go wrong with it. © Viral Bhayani Choose a vibrant colour, preferably, to portray that you're sophisticated, but definitely not stuck up or dull. Flexibility is an extremely important trait, and parents want that in a probable match for their child. The bright royal blue Varun is wearing is perfect for that. © Viral Bhayani Make sure the fit is good. It has to be relaxed, definitely not tight, but also looking like it was tailored just for you. You'll end up looking tacky if it's tight, not to mention the awkwardness resulting from the lack of movement. Make the pants tapered, and they can be cropped at the ankle, but not too much. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to what to wear underneath, choose a solid colour shirt that is bright and happy - preferably white, or the lightest shades of pink or periwinkle blue or lavender. These are the perfect colours for this occasion. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to accessories, keep it absolutely minimal (with perhaps a pocket square if you want to). Go for brogues or monkstraps, and most importantly, a huge chunk of self-confidence to boot. All the best!
