Urfi Javed has a unique style and a quality to flaunt everything she wears confidently and fearlessly. However, not one day goes by when the Bigg Boss fame star isn’t trolled for her clothes. The sad thing is that it’s not her eccentric fashion choices that irk people (like Ranveer Singh’s wardrobe most days). It’s the length of her clothes that invites hate. View this post on Instagram Urfi, who doesn’t follow any religion, has been branded 'anti-nationalist' and 'anti-Muslim' because of this reason. In an interview with a leading daily she said, “I am a Muslim girl. Most of the hate comments I receive are from Muslim people. They say that I am tarnishing the image of Islam. They hate me because Muslim men want their women to behave in a certain way. They want to control all the women in the community. I don’t believe in Islam because of this.” View this post on Instagram Recently, in an interview with ETimes, she addressed the religion-based trolling and the attacks on her for 'tarnishing Islam' because of her clothes. She said, “Mujhe kaha jaa raha hai Islam ka naam Barbaad kar rahi hai… but tumko kisne bola Islam ka bhaar mere shoulders par daalo? (I am being told that I am ruining the name of Islam, but who has asked people to put Islam’s burden on my shoulders?), I’ve not taken the responsibility to promote Islam.” She added, “Ajmal Kasab killed so many people he did not ruin the name of Islam but just because I am wearing short clothes I am ruining the image of Islam.” View this post on Instagram In the same interaction, she added that the film industry is also not accepting her because of her fashion choices. She shared how one casting director also commented on her clothes and advised her to work in adult web series because of the “bad image”. View this post on Instagram “Industry is not ready to accept me at all. They are not ready to accept the change. Recently, I met a casting director who told me it is so difficult for you now to get work, especially in television because your image is so bad. “Aap ko television mein toh ab kaam nahi milega aap ki image itni gandi ho rakhi hai”. What do you mean by Gandi, excuse me? I asked him. He told me to go for adult web series as I won’t get good work,” she said. MS Dhoni’s decision to relinquish the leadership position at Chennai Super Kings (CSK), just a couple of days before the start of the new season, had come as a huge surprise to the entire cricketing community around the world. From fans to experts, everybody was taken aback when the defending champions announced Dhoni had decided to give up CSK captaincy and picked Ravindra Jadeja as his successor. View this post on Instagram Not just the people on the outside but those inside the CSK camp also didn’t want the legendary skipper to step down from the role, especially the newcomers who had joined the franchise last month and were looking forward to playing under his leadership. New Zealand opener Devon Conway was one such player. The Kiwi batter, who was excited to play under Dhoni’s command, recently revealed the “little conversation” he had with the former skipper after learning of his decision. The 30-year-old revealed that he really wanted to play under his captaincy and even tried to convince the former India captain to reconsider his decision and lead the franchise for one more season but he stayed firm on his decision. “I was wanting to play under the great MS (Dhoni) as captain. I had a nice little conversation with him. I said, 'You're sure you don't want to captain one more season so I can play under you as captain? He said ‘No, but I am always going to be around anyway.’” Conway said in a video posted by CSK. View this post on Instagram Dhoni is arguably the greatest skippers of all-time and most players in the world wanted to play under his captaincy. When Conway was picked by CSK at the IPL 2022 mega auction, he must have been really thrilled that he would get a chance to take the field under the legendary skipper’s command. Conway’s action reminded me of my younger self when I used to constantly push my parents to buy me chocolates, fully knowing that they would never get me one because I had cavities. View this post on Instagram Dhoni’s surprise decision, in a way, broke the Kiwi opener’s heart. Although he knew his request wouldn’t make much of a difference, still he tried to convince the former leader to rethink his decision out of hope. The left-handed opener also said that both Dhoni and Jadeja, despite being superstars of world cricket are “down-to-earth” and very approachable. View this post on Instagram “A couple of days ago I had lunch and sat in between MS and Jaddu. It was really cool just to get to know them better. There are just normal men, down-to-earth. There's no aura about them, easy to get along and easy to talk to,” Conway added. Having lost their opening encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the defending champions would be looking to get on the winning ways when they take on KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) later tonight (March 31). More than the players Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked in the auction, it was Suresh Raina’s exclusion that has been making all the headlines. The fans couldn’t believe a player who was their leading run-scorer and the most consistent performer for more than a decade would not be wearing the yellow jersey in the upcoming season after he was snubbed by the ownership . Suresh Raina is on fire pic.twitter.com/vBIPbKivCy — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) April 23, 2019 Barring last year, Raina was one of the key reasons behind CSK’s incredible success and many believed he had done enough to at least deserve a place in the 25-member squad, if not the Playing XI. However, the CSK top management, including skipper MS Dhoni and head coach Stephen Fleming, had made their mind to move away from him and build a squad for the future. #ChinnaThala @ImRaina wins the race against Virat Kohli to become the first batsman to scale 5000 #VIVOIPL runs #CSKvRCB pic.twitter.com/DczcxCMsUH — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) March 23, 2019 Explaining the reason why they didn’t think ‘Chinna Thala’ was fit enough to be a part of the squad, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that their decision was dictated by the team composition. He even added that not picking a player who was their most consistent performer for over a decade was “very difficult” for them but their decision was in the best interest of the team moving forward. “Raina has been one of the most consistent performers for CSK for the last 12 years. Of course, it was very difficult for us, not to have Raina but at the same time, you should also understand that the team composition depends on the form and kind of team which any team would like to have so that’s one of the reasons why we thought he may not fit into this team,” Kasi said in a video posted on CSK’s YouTube channel. “We will miss him, we will miss Faf who has been with us for the last decade, that’s the process and dynamics of the auction,” he added. x4 We know he likes to hit big and @ImRaina now has struck his 500th boundary in #VIVOIPL https://t.co/dvbR7X1Kzc #VIVOIPL #CSKvSRH pic.twitter.com/u6nV1nav83 — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) April 28, 2021 However, fans were not ready to buy CSK’s explanation for snubbing arguably their second most popular player. They felt that the real reason for snubbing Raina was not his poor form or lack of cricket, but something else. That's FIFTY for @ImRaina. Half-century No.37th in #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/6ewj19ajFu — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 1, 2019 Giving the example of Test veteran Cheteshwar Pujara, who they had picked in the last year’s auction despite knowing he wouldn’t get a chance to feature in the starting XI, some angry fans argued that if they wanted they could have easily included Raina in their squad. Another example they gave was of Krishnapa Gowtham who they had signed last year for a whopping Rs 9.25 crore but never gave him a chance to play. Yeah form and fitness matters, but its so obvious that something happened between raina and csk management when he pulled out his name for personal reasons — Hari Krish (@HariKrish_D95) February 14, 2022ms dhoni has also not good form. Coincidentally, they had finished second from bottom that year – their worst season in IPL history. And, here comes the FIFTY for @ImRaina. This is his third half-century in #VIVOIPL 2018.#RRvCSK pic.twitter.com/PjmRxMlBTe — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 11, 2018 Rumours had it that Raina was not happy with the hotel room that was given to him and apparently had a fallout with the skipper Dhoni over the same issue. Another reason why fans believe CSK management is concealing the true reason was the way they operated in the auction. They were the only teams that filled all 25 slots in their squad, leaving no place for Raina to make a late entry. Up & Away!@ImRaina has completed 200 sixes in #VIVOIPL and is the 7th batsman to do so. https://t.co/wpoquMXdsr #CSKvRCB #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/YZr1gxT7PH — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) April 25, 2021 At the end of the auction they were left with Rs 2.95 Cr in their purse but there were no slots left. They knew they would face severe opposition from the fans who might coerce them to sign him after the auction which perhaps explains the reason why they filled all their slots. CSK perhaps had not forgiven Raina for what he had done a couple of years ago and it was their way of telling him who was the boss. View the full article

Dan Bilzerian lives up to his grandeur lifestyle and his social media is proof. If there are two things we cannot imagine his social media posts without, it’s the flock of women hanging around him and his glorious, groomed and impressive beard. © Instagram/Dan Bilzerian Well, we happened to stumble upon a very old picture of him on social media that had none of these two very dear things to him which made our jaws drop. While the ‘no women’ thing we can still wrap our heads around (can we, really?), the missing beard and the way he looked beardless is something we just can't fathom! © Instagram/Dan Bilzerian His trademark beard is what makes him the masculine idol, among other things, and it’s hard to believe that he once went without the scruff. However, he once posted a throwback photo in 2014 from 10 years ago in which he pulled off the no-beard look. © Twitter/Dan Bilzerian He shared the photo on his Facebook and Twitter account before he was an Instagram star. He wrote in the caption, “10 yrs ago before I had a beard, when girls just used me for *** and didn't want to date me.” © Facebook/Dan Bilzerian He must be in his early 20s in this picture before he even made his name in the poker game. There’s absolutely no sign of facial hair and although he does look unrecognisable without the fuller beard, he doesn’t look bad at all. In fact, he looks young without the stubble. © Instagram/Dan Bilzerian While the massive beard is a little too perfect, his fuzz-free face too makes him look godly. That jawline, tho! Safe to say that he’s the man who can pull off both. He’s the coolest man in the world for a reason! View the full article

Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the Indian cricket team with great aplomb and produced some terrific results. During his tenure, Dhoni won us everything that was there to be done whereas under Kohli’s command we learnt how to win Test series away from home. © Reuters Both the leaders had their own ways of leading the side and the Indian team achieved great success playing under both of them. While MS Dhoni was known for his calm and composed demeanour, his successor was famous for his aggression. While Dhoni had mastered the art of handling the spinners, Kohli liked attacking through his fast bowlers. © Reuters It was under Dhoni that India reached the top of the world Test rankings while under Kohli we finished on top for five consecutive years. They both had a different approach but their end goal was the same – help the Indian cricket scale new heights. The Indian cricket fans should be proud that we had such leaders who provided us with countless memories to cherish for throughout our lives. © Reuters But rather than enjoying their achievements, we often engage in unnecessary comparisons, pitting one great against the other, in order to find out who among them was the best. And it’s not just fans, sometimes even renowned cricket experts create unnecessary controversies by comparing two players with massive fan following. © Reuters Sometimes on purpose, sometimes unknowingly, they say things which upset one set of fans and provide them with the fodder to start a fight. Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar during an interaction with CNN-News 18 compared the two former captains of the Indian team, Dhoni and Kohli. © Reuters Comparing the two, he raised a question on Kohli’s aggressive attitude on the field. The former India batter argued that the way Dhoni conducted himself on the field showed us that it was possible to win matches without being in the face of the opposition all the time. Manjrekar further added that while many people felt that Kohli’s aggression was his strength and it brought out the best in him, it was not true. The 56-year-old said that Kohli won matches not because of his aggressiveness but due to players’ performances. #IndianCricketWar Former Indian cricketer @sanjaymanjrekar in an exclusive conversation with @ShivaniGupta_5 speaks on Indian Cricket churn. He says, 'This is like a crisis, but the problem can be solved easily.' Manjrekar also speaks on Ravi Shastri & #ViratKohli, Listen in! pic.twitter.com/BMyCjlum46 — News18 (@CNNnews18) January 25, 2022 “MS Dhoni didn’t have the same energy on the field but he had great results. So Virat didn’t win or lose only because of this. I judge a leader by the playing XI; that was a major issue with Virat,” Manjrekar said during the interaction. “No, he did have a couple of years, especially in Tests where his spirit was key. His playing XI selection hasn’t been good, a legacy that is left behind by previous management. So he did have a couple of years, but his form was a problem,” he added. © Twitter/BCCI What Dhoni achieved in terms of trophies is a benchmark for all the future leaders but just because Kohli couldn’t win any silverware, doesn’t mean his accolades were any inferior. Raveena Tandon, who is basking in the success of her Netflix series Aranyak, was among the top female stars of the 90s. She had no godfather in the industry and made her own path by delivering several successful films. Her pairing with Govinda, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar among other actors was a hit among fans. But, did you know that an actor's insecure girlfriend (also an actress) got her replaced in a few films back then? Well, that's the truth! View this post on Instagram In a recent interview, the Mohra actress opened up about the same without revealing the actor and his girlfriend's identity. In a conversation with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Raveena recalled the time when she lost films because an actor's girlfriend was insecure. She said, "I was replaced intentionally because this girl did not like me, was insecure about me. She was dating a hero at that time and forced him to replace me because we were a hit pair. Forced him to replace with other heroines. So I lost out on 1-2 films on that account". The Satta star went on to say that the same heroine had requested one of her co-stars not to work with her. Raveena concluded by revealing that the lady dumped the actor later who came to the Aks actress to replace his ex-girlfriend in a film. View this post on Instagram She stated, "The best part was she dumped that hero after a few years and he came to me, ‘arey uski film thi yar, tu please abhi mere liye karde, wo beech me chhod ke chali gai (It was her film but please you do it for me, she has quit in between).’ Maine kaha main to tereko pahle se bolti thi ki uski fitrat hi aisi hai (I told him that I had already warned you about her nature). It was very funny actually. It didn't make a difference to me because to a certain extent, I do believe that there is a certain path your destiny has to follow". Well, that's interesting! For the unversed, Raveena made her Bollywood debut with Patthar Ke Phool opposite Salman Khan in 1991. The film was among the highest-grossing films of the year post which the actress appeared in several hits including Dilwale, Laadla, Dulhe Raja, Mohra among others. On the movie front, she currently has KGF 2 in her kitty. The pan-India film is slated to hit the theatres later this year. Source: Bollywood Life View the full article

Anushka Sharma is blissfully married to cricketer Virat Kohli, and Ranveer Singh is enjoying his marital life with ladylove Deepika Padukone. But, the two were reportedly dating each and they have worked in three films together- Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Dil Dhadakne Do. View this post on InstagramInterestingly, they never publicly announced their relationship but it was quite evident in their public appearances. Back in the day, Anushka and Ranveer also appeared on Karan Johar's chat show. Despite denying being in a relationship with each other, it was clear that the two were dating. According to Zoom Entertainment, back in 2011, a report by Hindustan Times had claimed that Ranveer is a possessive boyfriend and didn’t like that a flirtatious fan walked up to Anushka to declare that he had a crush on her. As per the report, a source said, "This guy walked up to Anushka and told her that he had a crush on her when he saw Rab Ne…. She took it in the right spirit and jokingly asked if he still had a crush on her. The guy hesitantly admitted that he did. Though Anushka was enjoying the chat, Ranveer, sitting beside her, got really angry. He told the guy, 'Mind your language. She is my girlfriend. I will break your nose'." There was no official confirmation about this spat as Ranveer’s manager denied it and called it baseless rumours. As per a report in India Today, Ranveer mentioned in an old interview that a distance had grown between them, and they had stopped talking to each other like before. He also admitted that he missed her. "Yes. I miss her tremendously. She is full of love. Too many people have misunderstood her. Too many people just don't get where she is coming from and the kind of person that she is.” "She is one of the purest and honest people I have ever met. It's a big thing to say therefore it may sound to the reader like an exaggeration. Honestly, I've met few people who have nothing but purity in their heart and soul. I get angry when I read negative articles about her. It infuriates me more than my own negative articles,” he added. The two have let bygones be bygones and proved that exes can be cordial with each other and be friends. In fact, Anushka was one of the first Bollywood celebrities to wish Ranveer and Deepika on their wedding." She said, "Wishing you both a world of happiness and a beautiful journey together. May the love & respect you have in each other, grow leaps and bounds. And welcome to the club.” Interestingly, she also attended their wedding reception in Mumbai. On the work front, Anushka and Ranveer were last seen together in 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do. View the full article

The first match of the India-South Africa ODI series ended with the sudden collapse of the Indian batting order after a phenomenal start provided by the 92-run partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli. South Africa’s 296 proved to be too much to chase and many critics feel that the Indian bowling attack could have restricted the hosts well before that stage. One of the biggest questions of the match was why didn’t KL Rahul make some space in the bowling lineup to fit in debutant Venkatesh Iyer, who has proven to be more than useful both with the bat and the ball in domestic cricket and during the Indian Premier League. View this post on Instagram Cricket analysts like Sanjay Manjrekar had suggested having Iyer within the squad in order to add a sixth bowling option into the mix just in case the skipper needed some variety between the overs. Nonetheless, Iyer was not presented with the opportunity to roll his arm. After the loss, Dhawan, who ended up becoming the leading scorer for the Men in Blue with 79 runs, attended the post-match conference where he kept it extremely real as to why wasn’t Iyer given the ball. According to Gabbar, Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal were doing a great job and the Men in Blue simply didn’t require Iyer’s assistance with the ball. View this post on Instagram “We didn’t need him because the spinners did well and there was some turn in the wicket. Fast bowlers were mostly used at the end. In the middle-overs when the wicket was not falling, our thinking was to bring back the main bowlers to get the breakthrough but we couldn’t do that. Then, in the end, it was important to bring our main bowlers, like our spinners,” said Shikhar Dhawan in the post-match press conference. Dhawan has been around the Indian dressing room for over 12 years now. He has seen a lot of young players come into the team and get replaced by someone better right in front of his eyes. Based on all those years of experience, the 36-year-old had some special advice for the young-bloods of the squad who are looking to make a name for themselves - the team comes first, always. View this post on Instagram “That you need to play according to the demands of the situation, should always put the team first, that your individual game is important but at the same time practicality and knowing how much you can mould your game for the team is also important. Like if the team needs a partnership, then you should build one and those kind of things. And I feel that it will all get refined with time and experience,” he added. Venkatesh Iyer did not get the start to his international career that he would have hoped for. Walking down the pitch to bat at the number six spot and under a lot of pressure to deliver for the team and the country, the 27-year old only managed to face seven deliveries and score two runs before being sent by a Rassie van der Dussen catch in the deep off a Lungi Ngidi delivery. Sunil Gavaskar has expressed that Virat Kohli was on the verge of getting fired by the BCCI had he decided not to resign as the captain of the Indian Test cricket team after taking a 2-1 loss against South Africa in January 2022. View this post on Instagram While on a video conference with India Today, Gavaskar did not take long to speculate that the Indian cricket board were already on their way to take away Kohli’s position as the leader of the red-ball squad because the board officials are unlikely to forget overseas losses. The fact that the South African team was without some of its biggest players and the Men in Blue were expected to return home with a series win also didn’t help make Kohli’s case any stronger. The Little Master said that regardless of how good a captain performs in such a series, if the final result of a series which was presumed to be one-sided and in favour of the tourists goes against the expectations, it is the skipper’s head that is the most likely to end up on a spike. When asked if Gavaskar thought if Kohli’s personal struggles with the bat and the over-the-top drama that he had created while yelling into the stump mics and blaming the broadcasters for manipulating the HawkEye technology, the former skipper disagreed and doubled down on his theory that the sole reason behind Kohli’s departure from captaincy was because of the utterly shameful defeat that the Men in Blue had to incur against such a short-handed Protea side. Kohli and Indian players on the stump mic #SAvIND pic.twitter.com/fXs6x8RFtD — Xolani (@ThatXolani) January 13, 2022 The legendary batter also feels that the removal of Kohli as the captain might be the beginning of a much-needed transitional phase within the Indian cricket team and that the fans might also see some of the most common names not make into the Playing XI anymore. With the next red-ball series scheduled to take place at home against a touring Sri Lankan roster, it would be interesting to see who among the current squad will be replaced and by whom. On the basis of the series in South Africa, it may be time for Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane to say goodbye to their spots in the team. View the full article
