  1. Salma Begum says Shah family will attend Aamir's burial ceremony in Karachi if the govt provides them security
  2. It’s not easy to end a marriage. It takes months for the unhappy couple to contemplate whether they should take the drastic, life-changing step or not. It’s even more complicated in India since a divorce or a broken marriage is seen as a social stigma and as the worst that could happen to any desi kid. © Colour Yellow Productions Most young people today fear getting married, especially in an arranged set-up, because of this very reason. If your likes and dislikes don’t match and you find out that you are not compatible with your partner that your parents found you, you are left with only two choices–live unhappily ever after or stand up for yourself and your happiness and end it. © Yash Raj Films A guy going through a similar situation asked Reddit men what it’s like being divorced in India. He wrote, he is “in a very strained marriage, both very unhappy and contemplating divorce, fear and social stigma is the main thing holding us back. what to know what to expect if we do it.” And, to our surprise, the answers are not scary, rather heartwarming. 1. “I got married and divorced at 27 within 3 months. She cheated on me and I filed for divorce. 5 years have passed quickly but I found my purpose in life and eventually started dating, found a girl who gets me and am now pretty confident that I will marry her in a year or two. If we don't get married for some godforsaken reason, I will continue on my path and not afraid of dying alone.” –Bombaysux © Colour Yellow Productions 2. “Got married 2.5 years ago, the girl left 10 days later, turned out it was an alimony trap all along and there was another guy. We finally reached a mutual consent agreement now, after 2+ years of mindless courtroom bickering. Living alone has been great and no one really judged me. I was lucky enough to have a family that had their full support.” –butyl_bladder 3. “My friend's brother Married his long time college girlfriend in a very fancy wedding. Divorced within 7 months. She got into an arranged marriage and now he has a son. He's very happy.” –DangerousIntercourse © Colour Yellow Productions 4. “Arrange married at 27, stayed a year together. I had filed under mental cruelty section.. due to very abusive wife. That shit played for 5 years, finally divorced in Jan this year. I would say in metro/metro-like cities.. it doesn’t matter that much... no one cares. But boy if you wanna remarry.. people ask weird questions... I was asked if I beat my wife? Was I impotent? Did she cheat? Did I cheat?...I am not a monster if I am divorced….Life sucked for that time.” –vaibhavdeveloper 5. “It is best to leave a sinking ship than living miserable for the rest of your life mate, seen too many around me. You still have time.” –tpzck © Yash Raj Films Getting divorced is not the end of the world but can be the beginning of a happier life for both of you. View the full article

Arjun Rampal & Mehr Jesia © Twitter Arjun and Mehr Jasia divorced each other after two decades of marriage, shortly after Arjun packed his bags to move out of their rented apartment. According to reports, the couple's marriage started wearing out due to their association with Shah Rukh Khan. Weird, right? Well, as per reports, Arjun really wanted to be a part of Ra.One, which he eventually was, and well, Arjun's wife wanted SRK to provide a higher remuneration for her husband. 4. Starting his career as a stand-up comedian in Assam’s legendary Bhaya Mama group, Adil Hussain rose to fame after he learnt theatre from the National School Of Drama. He has left his footprints in both Bollywood as well as regional cinema, and quite well known among foreign actors too. Adil was recently seen in Voot Select's Love In The Times Of Corona that had three parts. Adil’s Tea and A Rose is about two middle-aged individuals who have lost their respective partners and it was their unexpected meeting with each other that changed their lives as they found solace in each other. View this post on Instagram The message in the movie was loud and clear that age doesn’t matter when you are in love. In India, we feel that we still have a hitch as we can’t imagine our parents falling in love after a certain age. On this, Adil told, “Well, I feel that heart is the youngest of the biological cells. I am not talking about the physical heart but the heart that falls in love. It’s not the heart that pumps blood. It’s like Dil toh bachcha hai! I think if children find it embarrassing, it’s the cultural conditioning that we have. It’s understandable but at the same time, children should be okay with it because if they are right to fall in love, why can’t their parents if they have separated or have lost their partners. It would be a crime if we stop them from falling in love once again. Isn’t it a beautiful thing to have company at an older age?” When asked about the relevance of short movies, “I am extremely proud of VOOT for doing this and it takes a lot of courage to show short movies as it’s not in fashion. I want VOOT to keep continuing this as there are many young filmmakers who want to talk about things are unique and issue that matter and engaging at the same time. I hope people watch these short movies and be vocal about it.” View this post on Instagram Adil has done a good job in displaying his emotions through his character in Tea And A Rose. But it has actually happened. Apparently, two women from Hyderabad were divorced by their husbands, who live in the United States, over Whatsapp and e-mail. No, we’re not kidding. Syeda Hina Fatima and Mehreen Noor were married to two brothers and have now reportedly lodged a complaint against their in-laws, who threw them out of the house. "My husband put `Talaq Talaq Talaq` as his WhatsApp display picture and messaged the same, saying everything is finished. He said this is how it is done these days. How can it be done on WhatsApp? The notice came to my house, but I rejected it," Mehreen Noor said. Mehreen Noor was married to Usman Qureshi, who works as a senior analyst at Seven Heaven Medical Agency. Heena Fatima, who was married to Usman`s elder brother Syed Fayazuddin, also went through the same thing and was divorced in a similar manner, six months ago. "I am pregnant and he gave me divorce which is not possible because one cannot give divorce to a pregnant woman," Fatima said. A lot of women have filed a petition before the Supreme Court against the triple talaq practice. However, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board said it is better to divorce a woman than kill her, defending the practice. "The rights bestowed by religion can`t be questioned in a court of law," they said.
