  1. Karachi’s total water demand is 1,100 million gallons per day (MGD), but only half of the requirement is met, which is 550 MGD
  2. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI revealed the updated annual contracts for the various Indian cricket players who were a part of the regular rotation of the squad during the 2021 season and may potentially remain active during the 2022-23 season. And as always, the fans of the Indian cricket team have formed various opinions about the kind of money being handed over to all these players. While some players have been shown a lot of sympathy for losing out on the previously held contracts, other cricketers were hated upon for earning more they should be (in the eyes of the fans, of course). "Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah in the A+ Contract in the new BCCI annual contract." - According to Dainik Jagran — CricketMAN2 (@ImTanujSingh) March 2, 2022 The former captain of the Indian cricket team and arguably the most polarising man in all of cricket, Virat Kohli belongs to the second group of people and has been slammed all over the internet for being granted the A+ category contract by the Indian cricket board, despite what has been a sub-par year for the cricketer - as compared to the kind of years he has had in the past. Going purely by performance, Kohli shouldn't even have a BCCI contract. India would have been decimated by Aussies if not for the class of Rahane and Pujara. — Praveen Verma (@Praveen09166903) March 2, 2022Why Chokli-The Finished Player aka Politician of ICT in A+? — (@Rohit_GOAT264) March 2, 2022Sneaked in virat in A+ He should be in C grade — NOone (@factsman2003) March 2, 2022CHOKLI IS GETTING A+ GRADE WHILE DHAWAN IS GETTING C GRADE CONTRACT SHAME — ´ (@Extra__Cover) March 2, 2022Chokli should kick out of team without any contract — Ankit (@BruceWa75808922) March 2, 2022A lot of negative things have happened to Kohli, especially this last year. He resigned as the captain of his IPL squad, Royal Challengers Bangalore following a heartbreaking end to the IPL 2021 season. He stepped down as the captain of the Indian T20I squad following a disappointing run at the ICC World Cup 2021. Kohli was also sacked by the BCCI as the ODI captain after the selectors decided to give the entire white-ball captaincy to Rohit Sharma. And finally, he resigned as the captain of the Test cricket team after losing the three-match series in South Africa against a short-handed Protea team. View this post on Instagram The batter has also been under the spotlight for the last two years as he has not been able to score a single century in any of three international cricket formats since November 2019. One of his greatest weaknesses while batting has also been highlighted across multiple series - how Kohli continues to play unnecessary cover drives that often lead to an outer edge catch behind the stumps. Having said that, Kohli continues to be one of the top 10 batters in international Tests (rank 7) and ODIs (rank 2). He has only recently fallen out of the top-10 list in T20Is as well. Despite such stellar performances and a great batting record across formats, the fact that he is being called out for not doing enough to earn the greatest BCCI contract is only a testament to how great of a player he is and how the world has managed to expect nothing but absolute excellence from him over the years. Babar Azam still at the top Rohit Sharma closes in on Virat Kohli Fakhar Zaman and Joe Root sneak into the top 10 Here’s how things stand after the latest update to the @MRFWorldwide ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings for batters More details https://t.co/gkPWgLbUCq pic.twitter.com/JOgc1SpQKm — ICC (@ICC) February 9, 2022 Based on the contractual set-up of the BCCI, players who belong to the A+ category earn a handsome Rs. 7 crore per year. This is on top of the match fee they receive for playing across the three forms of international cricket, the IPL contracts they receive during or before the auction and all the endorsements they do throughout the year. 5. Jr. NTR needs no introduction as the name is enough for people to know the lineage he brings with that name, and his loyal fan base is proof of his popularity. The superstar will next be seen in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR with Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. While his work is notable, an actor’s career is a mix of hits and misses. Here are five super hits which he rejected that went on to other actors: 1. DilReleased in 2003 and directed by V.V. Vinayak, this movie was a hit with Nithiin in the lead role. However the role was previously offered to Jr. NTR, who rejected it as he wasn’t too keen on playing the role of a student. Dil went on to be remade in Oriya as Premi No.1 (2004), in Kannada as Student, and in Tamil as Kuththu (2004). 2. AryaThis was a big one for superstar Allu Ajun, but if Jr. NTR had not said no to this, it might have not made it Arjun’s kitty. Allu Arjun became a big name with this movie which also won many awards for him. 3. BhadraThis movie was passed around for a while before it got Ravi Teja’s stamp on it. Reportedly, this was rejected by Jr. NTR and also by Allu Arjun. The big hit was later remade in Tamil as Saravana, with Silambarasan & Jyothika, and in Kannada as Gaja. 4. KickOne would wonder why the actor rejected this hit which went on to actor Ravi Teja. Apparently, Jr. NTR had some apprehensions after Surender Reddy's last two films, Ashok and Athidi didn't fare too well at the box office. The role was offered to Ravi Teja with Ileana D' Cruz. The film was remade in Tamil as Thillalangadi, in Hindi as Kick starring Salman Khan, and in Kannada as Super Ranga. 5. OopiriNot a lot of people know this but apparently Jr NTR refused this movie due to a particular scene which involved the character touching the feet of Nagarjuna , and the actor thought that it might not go well with his fans. However the makers later cited date issues as a reason for him refusing this project. The role was then taken over by actor Karthi and the film was a big success. 6. SrimanthuduThis one was a big project starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role but the role was initially offered to Jr. NTR , who couldn’t come on board for various reasons. View the full article
  6. Released in 2010, Dabangg had turned out to be a huge money spinner at the box office and even won a National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The film marked Salman Khan’s rise at the box office and was the second film after Wanted that started his golden run. Two years later, its sequel titled Dabangg 2 was released which was a big box office success but failed to receive the critical acclaim of its prequel. © Arbaaz Khan Productions Years later in 2019, Salman once again returned to his iconic character of Chulbul Pandey with Dabangg 3. However, this time the film failed critically as well as commercially. It seemed like we may have seen the last of Chulbul Pandey on the big screen, at least for the near future, but that is not the case as Bhai is not yet done with the character. Recently, there were reports that filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia is currently busy writing the script of Dabangg 4 and if all goes well, he will also helm the fourth installment in the franchise. When asked about the same, Tigmanshu confirmed in a recent Bollywood Hungama interview that he is indeed working on the script of Dabangg 4. He said, “Abhi writing chal rahi hai. Uspe jab sab sehmati ho jayegi fir decide karenge. (Currently, it’s in the writing stage. Once the script is finalised we will see about the film direction.)” © BCCL When further prompted how interesting it will be to see him directing Salman, the filmmaker left it all on fate saying, “Dekhte hain sab kismat pe chod rakha hai yaar..” He was further asked if he has interacted with Salman’s father, the legendary writer Salim Khan, he said, “Not yet” and added it is not possible to move ahead without consulting him first. “Even I wouldn’t want to move ahead with the script without consulting him. I like him a lot.” He further praised Salim Khan and said one learns a lot just by being in his company. As for the Dabangg franchise, while Salman Khan plays the lead character of Chulbul Pandey, Arbaaz Khan plays his half-brother Makhanchand Pandey and Sonakshi Sinha plays Rajjo. © Arbaaz Khan Productions It will be interesting to see what new narrative Tigmanshu Dhulia brings to the almost dead franchise with his unique flair and experience as an acclaimed filmmaker.
