  1. If you search 'best proposal in the world' on the internet, you will find innumerable, inspiring ways and ideas to make yours a memorable one. But, no matter how much efforts you put in proposing your girlfriend, neither you nor anyone else in the world can beat Yasushi 'Yassan' Takahashi. In an era when social media and internet in general wasn't a huge deal, this Japanese guy did something unbelievable, and ruined the chances of having a basic proposal for every guy out there. How, you ask? By spelling 'Marry Me' on Google Earth and GPS. YouTube/ Google For those wondering whether this is fake or photoshopped, it's not. The photo is as real and genuine as the guy's feelings for his girlfriend. Hailing from Tokyo Yasushi aka Yassan realised in 2008 that his girlfriend, natsuki is the one for him. Now, when you are so sure, you can't simply get away with a basic 'ring' proposal. We guess he thought so too and the result was this insanely amazing GPS art. YouTube/ Google In fact, it also got him into the Guinness World Record for the largest GPS drawing in history. It took Yassan six months and nearly 7000 km to draw 'Marry Me' with a heart next to it. In case you guys didn't know, GPS art is where you create digital drawings using Google Earth by travelling using a GPS device. This way, once the route is uploaded on the app, it begins to form an artwork. YouTube/ Google Google even shared a throwback of his amazing journey on Twitter, and since then his story has gone viral on social media. You can check out his journey here, and rest assured, you're going to be swooning by the end of it. For over 10 years, Tokyo resident Yasushi “Yassan” Takahashi has been creating GPS art with @googleearth and #StreetView—but it was his very first drawing that was his biggest, in more ways than one → https://t.co/O9dYPHyauy pic.twitter.com/dEXmwp9suc — Google (@Google) April 10, 2019 While it all went well for him and his girlfriend said yes, imagine (hypothetically) if she said no? Then he would have have a different story with a Guiness World Record and six month travel experience at hands, which is not exactly bad, is it?
  2. The most important aspect about any sport is its fans. They're the reason why the players, the staff and the coaches play the sport. They give the players the confidence to give their best on the field and whichever their favourite team is, they really love it. But sometimes, the actions of some mad fans not only bring disgrace to a person but also the team they support. Similar humiliation was witnessed by Juventus when over 140 of their fans were arrested for possessing dangerous objects right before the UEFA Champions League game between Ajax and Juventus in Amsterdam on Wednesday. The Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Interior, Matteo Salvini, claimed that 120 of those held were Juve supporters. "Around 120 were detained," he said in a Facebook Live video. "People were found carrying objects that were not exactly appropriate for a trip to the stadium,” he added. © Reuters "Football is a beautiful sport but only with clean hands and a clean face, without creating trouble, so be good," he further said. As per reports, two separate groups were arrested by the authorities. First, a group of 46 were apprehended at a metro station and later another 61 were detained at the Johan Cruyff Arena. On the other hand, dozens of Ajax supporters were also reported to have clashed against riot police in separate incidents outside the stadium and were dispersed using tear gas and water cannons. The arrested fans were taken to a detention centre by bus, as per 'De Telegraaf'. Despite the match ending in a 1-1 draw and Cristiano Rolando being the star for his side, this traumatizing incident certainly humiliated the visitors a lot.
  3. The Lok Sabha Election fervour is at its peak now, and political parties are leaving no stones unturned when it comes to promoting their parties on social media. As spotted by the folks over at altnews, it looks like some pro-BJP pages on Facebook are dropping a lot of money on Facebook to reach the masses. And we're talking in crores here. So how much money are we talking here and what are these people promoting? altnews took some help from Facebook's new ad transparency tool, that helps you keep an eye on the pages that are spending money on Facebook to promote their propaganda. You can check out the tool right here. © Facebook As you can see, the screenshot, which shows the top five spenders from March 17, 2019, to March 23, 2019, are all pro-BJP pages. “Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat”, “My First Vote For Modi”, “Nation with NaMo”, are all pages that support BJP. In fact, these aren't the only pages. You'll see a lot of pages promoting BJP. “Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat” is the top spending page that has dropped over Rs. 1 Crore on these ads. Each of the ads put up by these pages has anywhere between 10K to 50K impressions, and they have more than a few ads running at the same time. Clearly, these pages are reaching out to millions of Facebook users across the country. © Facebook In fact, some pages are even going as far as giving away freebies like merchandise to lure voters. The range of freebies offered by these pages includes badges, bags, T-shirts, phone covers, and more. “Pledge your first vote for PM Modi for the better India and win exciting goodies”, reads one of the ads. Of course, there's no way to tell how much of this is real. Even if it's the case, we hope people aren't falling for these practices and casting their votes for, say, a bag or a t-shirt.
  4. After eagerly waiting for the UEFA Champions League draws for the quarter-finals, we finally have the table in front of us. The Champions League quarter-finals are set ð« Happy? #UCL pic.twitter.com/NQRf7Flh0o — Goal (@goal) March 15, 2019 While the rest of the contests look pretty decent, our major focus instantly shifted to the matches between Lionel Messi's Barcelona FC and Paul Pogba's Manchester United that are destined to take place on 9th April (Leg 1) and 16th April. Keeping in mind the performances carried out by two of the most historically prestigious football clubs in the recent past it is safe to say that Messi and Co. clearly have the upper hand. Case in point, Barcelona's previous match up against Lyon which the Spanish giants easily cruised past after winning 5-1 on aggregate. With Messi coming back to form in the second leg as he scored two goals and assisted twice, things don't seem to be getting any easier for the Red Devils. On the other hand, Manchester United have proven their true worth to those who underestimated them during their duel against Mbappe's Paris Saint-Germain. We scoured the internet to check out exactly how the fans from both sides reacted to the draw and the results are hilarious: Overjoyed Barcelona Fans: Rip Man United — Messi ð (@loyalmessi) March 15, 2019 Thank you Jessssssssssssuuuuussssssðððð we're through — Saucererð (@ghermaine__) March 15, 2019 I foresee an easy gameðððð...LOL ðð — Yusuf Olatunji (@Yusuf_Olatunji2) March 15, 2019 It's coming home ðªð — Leoð (@ProudCule1) March 15, 2019 RIP IN ADVANCE MAN U — Keith (@Keith58808029) March 15, 2019 Depressed and Gloomy Manchester United Fans: Dear @ChampionsLeague, Thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye... — Himansh (@GunnarMindset) March 15, 2019 pic.twitter.com/xmGFPvZKpy — Esoâ (@EsoKachikwu) March 15, 2019 pic.twitter.com/TMr5fN8wDV — Leo Carter ð¾ðª (@LeoCarter27) March 15, 2019 pic.twitter.com/TMr5fN8wDV — Leo Carter ð¾ðª (@LeoCarter27) March 15, 2019 My brother when I told they'd drawn Barcelona ðð pic.twitter.com/2LKqcF1fPj — William (@talibanscum) March 15, 2019 pic.twitter.com/sItdB4e1eu — Koyin ð³ð¬ (@K0YIN) March 15, 2019
