  1. Here's something actually funny, although Mumbai police is not amused at all. Recently, while Hrithik and Tiger were on the sets a movie they're shooting for (the name isn't disclosed yet), Mumbai Police supposedly arrested two men who were suspected to be terrorists, from the set. © Twitter Well, the two men were shooting along with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shorff and had stepped out to the cigarette shop in their shoot attire. When the locals saw them dressed like how they were, they panicked and called the cops. The men were casually strolling around, casually dressed like bombers, wearing bullet vests, when Mumbai Police was called for aid. © Twitter For a lot of people this story may come off as actually hilarious, but for the police it wasn't really funny because it wasn't true. The Mumbai police took to their official Twitter account and actually denied coming and arresting the two men from the film set. In their Tweet, Mumbai Police wrote: Mumbai Police has not picked up any such persons. Kindly verify facts. https://t.co/vGOi2X3dYi — Mumbai Police (@MumbaiPolice) 30 May 2019 But honestly, if this did happen: After an hour-long search operation, #Mumbai police arrested 2 men suspected to be terrorists, but later turned out to be extras on the sets of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's upcoming action film. #TV9News pic.twitter.com/o74uib9PQQ — Tv9 Gujarati (@tv9gujarati) 29 May 2019 It would have literally been the funniest peice of entertainment news right about now. But alas, the Mumbai Police did confirm no one was arrested, so we wonder what really happened then? Maybe they did come there when the locals called them in panic and after a thorough investigation, realised they were indeed not terrorists but the supporting cast of the film. Well, this only goes to tell us one thing. Don't believe everything you read on social media, even though it's the funniest thing you've read in the longest time!
  2. Keeping up with the latest accessory trends can be quite a task, and we're with you. Luckily, this season, the fashion trends have changed for the better and paying attention to details can now prove incredibly rewarding. Get ready to ditch your beaded wristbands and woven belts for these accessories that are all set to maximise your style. 1. Silver Cufflinks © Pexels Dear men, stop bringing out your age-old pocket squares to go with your suits. It's time to take a detour from 'boring' by adding a pair of silver cufflinks to crank up your attire. Understated, and thus subtly charming, these cufflinks will go with almost all colours of your shirts. To show you how confident I am about this tip, feel free to put the blame on me if it doesn't work. 2. Baseball Cap © Twitter Considering how quickly sporty styles have invaded most wardrobes, why not give baseball caps a chance to preen your look? These round brimmed version in muted tones with subtle branding might be just the push you need to go from 'meh' to 'dayum'. The trick here is to dovetail the trend with all your off-duty ensembles and fully commit to it. 3. Waist Bag © Trademe.co.nz You may not think much of your girlfriend's precious little sling bag, but it might just turn out to be a vital part of your vacay. An option that's inexpensive, a waist bag (not a fanny pack) is a good enough approach for you to set a new high. Also, the fact that it easily stocks your stuff as you head out doesn't hurt. The best part? It's not too beyond your comfort zone, and you no longer need your GF for it. 4. A Reversible Belt © Esquire A sartorial deviation from everyday wear belts to an option that doesn't wear down your budget, reversible belts have come a long way. It stands by virtue of its nature to suit any outfit. No more fretting about the shirts or tees you have in your wardrobe. Be it teal, burgundy or salmon pink, this belt type does a good deed for all. 5. Vintage Eyeglasses © Haircutinspiration Splurging on eyeglasses is not a decision made lightly, especially when, thanks to the digital world, there's a style or two for every face type. We've had our eye on vintage eyeglasses that are, besides being unapologetically fashionable, a fail-proof way to enhance your routine attire.
  3. It's been a while Sanjay Dutt has been MIA from the big screen (unless you count his brief appearance in his own biography 'Sanju' during the end credits). However, he's all set to return with a bang with 'Kalank' - probably the biggest multi-starrer movie this year has to offer. The teaser just launched today, and as excited as we are for it to release, Sanjay Dutt's all-black ensemble had our attention in a heartbeat. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani We love the elaborately textured sherwani paired with the super relaxed patialas. The fact that he almost never steps out like this, makes it all the more special. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani We are digging the salt and pepper (well, more of salt tbh) beard game. His buzz cut is making him look like the ultimate new age 'Khalnayak' that we all deserve. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to accessories, the black glasses and the gold sherwani buttons spell 'classy' like nothing else, and they do complete justice to the intense vibe. © Viral Bhayani All we can say is, we can't wait to see him on the big screen.
  4. 'Black Panther', without a doubt, was one of the biggest Marvel movies, and Chadwick Boseman became a household name overnight. His acting chops sure helped him grab all the eyeballs, but he does know how to add on to that with his super eccentric style game. Here, we have compiled a list of pictures where he has dressed even crazier than our own fashion king Ranveer Singh. 1. "Take me to church!" © PBS 2. Who won't want to live in that overcoat? That green piping though! © Shortlist 3. That print and those brooches. We got to learn something. © Yahoo Images 4. A bold red snakeskin outerwear will definitely set you apart in a room full of ultra-glam people. © Zig 8. There's such a thing called 'denim-print overalls' and it's amazing. © Jetss 9. 5. Ranveer Singh is known to be one of India's most candid and outspoken actors, who wears his heart on his sleeve and has a mouth to show for it too. Trust Ranveer to turn the most mundane activity into a fun-tastic one and spoil your senses with audio and visual proof of the same. So, recently, Ranveer proved this point once again when he caught up with trade analyst Komal Nahta on Zee Cafe's 'Starry Nights 2.Oh' where he made a revelation about his days as a struggling artist. He said that back in the day when he was a struggling actor, he dressed up as Arun from 'Mr. India' and showed up at casting director Shaano Sharma's house because he had heard the rumour that Shekhar Kapoor was all set to direct 'Mr. India 2'. View this post on Instagram Keep it ð¯ A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Feb 8, 2019 at 9:45am PST “During my struggling days, it was rumoured that Shekhar Kapur was making Mr India 2 and I landed up at Shanoo Sharma's house dressed up as Anil Kapoor's character Arun,” Ranveer told Komal on the show. If it wasn't evident enough for his fans and followers, Ranveer just made it crystal clear that he can go to any lengths to get into the skin of the character and give his very best to every role that presents itself (or not). View this post on Instagram Uth jaa apni Raakh se, tu Udd jaa ab Talaash mein ð¦#mondaymotivation #gullyboy A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Feb 10, 2019 at 9:57pm PST Be it is isolating himself from the world for 21 days to play Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmaavat' or doing his own groundwork and training with underground rappers for his upcoming release 'Gully Boy', Ranveer has always gone out of his way to make sure he gives 200 per cent to all his assignments. Talking about the kind of films he loves, where the hero is the master of the show and the film is larger than life, Ranveer said, “big muscles, big guns. Matlab mujhe bas yahi karna hai.” Ranveer couldn't have given a more earnest and honest reply than this.
  6. Most people are La vie en rose post their romantic Wedding, as it's all roses, rainbows and unicorns and fluffy beds, at least till the honeymoon ends. via GIPHY But no, don't count Prateik Babbar in. He's a major Goth and he's made sure his Wedding reflects the Goth reality of his life by hosting a Gatsby-themed party. via GIPHY Prateik tied the knot with Sanya Sagar in Lucknow on Wednesday in a traditional Maharashtrian Wedding. Following which, for their Wedding reception, taking the early twentieth century in focus, Babbar's recreation looked like a Gatsby-themed party. Don't believe us? Take a look. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani From the oh-so-extra glasses to the stiff striped suit paired with a cute floral scarf and a brisk pocket watch, accessories were on fleek for Prateik Babbar. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Sanya Sagar's fierce black gown with frills, matched to her husband's level. 7. It was a fashion parade at Ranveer and Deepika's Mumbai reception, and rightfully so, because it was the only occasion where the entire Bollywood was invited. While our eyes kept moving rapidly from celeb to celeb, awestruck because of their super glam avatars, we wanted to figure out who looked the best. After going through all the outfits, we decided that the two best looking people in the party were Jim Sarbh and our beloved Rekha-ji. While Jim is known for his unusual sense of style, Rekha-ji has always been the mother of all things glamorous. Take a look! (c) Viral Bhayani (c) Viral Bhayani Jim wore a black velvet achkan by Rohit Bal, that was gorgeously embroidered with red roses, replete with their green foliage. We all know how fond Ranveer is of anything floral, so it only made sense to turn up in something that echoed that sartorial sentiment. Plus, did you notice the stage decor? It almost seems like Jim decided on the outfit after taking that reference. No one else comes even close, when it comes to wearing something as elegant. The purple gold Kaanjivaram is acting as an efficient medium to bewitch us all with her ethereal grace and mysterious magnetism. How is she ageing in reverse? She is 64 for crying out loud! (c) Viral Bhayani (c) Viral Bhayani (c) Viral Bhayani Take a bow, you two!
  8. "Why?" "What was he thinking?" "Why would anyone in their right mind wear that?" These are some of the questions most people ask, at least in their head, when they see Ranveer Singh in one of his signature crazy outfits that normal mortals won't even dare try. But we don't blame them. Really, now, think about it. Why would he wear them? Why would anyone? They are not bad clothes, not at all, but they are extraordinarily different. © IANS ©: Instagram/ranveersingh What goes through Ranveer's mind when he wears them? There must be something that fuels that sartorial rebellion he pulls off, and insists on doing it again and again. © Instagram/ranveersingh © Instagram/ranveersingh The obvious answer is of course, 'he wants to and he likes those clothes'. But what we wanted to understand was deeper. How does he feel while wearing them? How does he react to / cope with people's reactions, being a public figure? Is this his way of sending a message across or proving a point? © Instagram/ranveersingh We wanted answers to all these questions and decided to do a little experiment. We made one of our own homies spend a day at work wearing clothes exactly like Ranveer Singh, and had a chat with him afterwards. According to him, 4 interesting things take place once you start dressing up like Ranveer Singh. 1. You Learn To Be Less Conscious In Public Outfit Credits: Lecone Hemant "As soon as I saw some of the outfits, I couldn't help but do a double take. They were outrageous! I almost had to shield my eyes. I knew I had to wear them and spend the day at work, and the fact that I'd be required to visit all the floors that I don't even work in didn't help at all. I was petrified. So I thought let's just get done with it. It was like ripping off a band-aid. But little did I know, the 'ripping off' bit was only putting the clothes on and making the first appearance." Outfit Credits: Lecone Hemant "What followed were stifled screams, catcalls, and laughter - a lot of laughter. Phone cameras were out, and Instagram stories were up. As much as I wanted to disappear right on the spot at that time, I didn't have a choice but to pretend that nothing weird is happening around. After the initial minute, however, things changed drastically." Outfit Credits: Lecone Hemant "People went back to doing what they were doing. And the best thing? I stopped caring. By the end of the day, I took a walk out on the street in front of the building without batting an eyelid. If this is not, like, some ninja-technique to make someone deal with their nervousness, I don't know what is!" 2. You Embrace The Hidden Performer Inside Outfit Credits: Pot Plant Clothing Outfit Credits: Pot Plant Clothing "I'm not an actor, but Ranveer is. When I walked around wearing his clothes, I could relate to him. I didn't necessarily feel like an actor, but I sure did feel like someone who people like to look at - someone worth looking at, rather. I felt like a performer." Outfit Credits: Pot Plant Clothing "What does Ranveer do when he's not on a movie set? He can't act all the time, duh! But he probably is so dedicated to his craft that he feels like he owes it to his fans to keep them entertained at all times? Probably? How does he do that? By giving them something to look at every time he steps out. That way, he's still a performer in the public eye, without actually having to perform. I think it's brilliant!" Outfit Credits: Pot Plant Clothing 3. You learn to unapologetically fulfil your latent need for attention in a harmless manner. Outfit Credits: Sunil Mehra "As petrified as I was, did I secretly enjoy all the attention I was getting? I'd be lying if I said no. Hey, it was weird in the beginning, but I did like being the center of attention at work." Outfit Credits: Sunil Mehra "Especially, every time I'd enter a new floor, all the heads would collectively turn towards me. There would be hushed, and some not so hushed voices nudging their busy friend to look at me. That's a weird kind of high, tbh. I won't mind getting used to it!" Outfit Credits: Sunil Mehra "When you think about it without any prejudice, everyone has a need for attention. There are different ways in which people fish for it. Some of those ways can be quite twisted, and not at all healthy. They can end up hampering your life and your relationships in general. By wearing Ranveer's clothes, you just straightaway achieve it! Hell, you get too much of it. And that's completely okay, I feel. What's wrong with some extra attention? We all want it anyway." Outfit Credits: Sunil Mehra 4. Your Confidence Mysteriously Skyrockets Outfit Credits: Jack & Jones "By the end of that day, honestly, I felt like I could do anything. I kind of am an introverted person and I'm not very comfortable with having the limelight on my head. But after I wore these clothes and went around the entire office pretending like it's nobody's business, I actually started believing that it's nobody's business after a few hours." Outfit Credits: Jack & Jones "I was extremely conspicuous, and everyone was looking at me, but I couldn't care less! How did it even happen in less than a day? I never thought that I was capable of dealing with people looking at me and talking about me, this effortlessly, but it turns out I did just fine! I felt confident - more confident than I've ever felt in my life. I felt like I'd attended, like, a dozen of confidence-boosting classes by the end of that day. It was incredibly liberating." 9. It's the D-Day, and naturally, the entire country has been waiting for a single glimpse of the mega wedding with bated breath. As camera friendly as Ranveer and Deepika are, the fact that they would actually go-for rock-solid privacy in terms of sharing pictures is quite understandable, yet surprising. They do love their fans, but which couple won't want their wedding pictures to be perfect? So they made the wedding a 'phone-free zone', and requested all the guests to only share pictures which are bride and groom pre-approved. Anyway, the guests clearly are well-behaved, and didn't indulge in any sneaky phone camera action. However, we finally have the first round of official pictures. Take a look. (c) instagram/deepikapadukone Doesn't he look amazing in a white Sabyasachi sherwani for the Konkani wedding? And here is the one for the Sindhi wedding, where he's wearing the already famous Sabyasachi Kanjeevaram sherwani. (c)instagram/deepikapadukone All we can say is that we are breathless!
  10. Once winter rolls around, it's time to take out our jackets, scarves, coats, and get ready to up our fashion and style game. And thanks to some great style on behalf of some Bollywood celebs, we have all the right tips for you. While they have personal stylists and teams of people working to put together each look, for us mortals, things are a tad bit more difficult. We don't have fashion houses and designers falling at our feet, nor do we have an impossibly high budget. But, with the right tips and hacks, you can seriously up the style ante of your outfit. And that's what we are here to help you out with. Let's get started with these styling tips from some of the best dressed Bollywood celebs right now. Layering is KEY © Instagram/Rajkummar Rao The best styling tip for winter dressing is to layer, and layer well. Instead of just but on that one giant looking jacket, layer up with different things. Pieces that you can use are cardigans, denim shirts, scarves, light jackets, hoodies, blazers, and even wind windbreakers. Sleeveless jackets are super in right now, and they make for a really great piece to layer your outfit with. You can also add gloves if you are in colder areas. Hats and caps are also a really great way to quickly add extra elements to any outfit, and make it look a lot more put together. Invest in a few essentials © Instagram/Vicky Kaushal If you are building a winter wardrobe, you must start with the basics. Get one or two full-sleeved t-shirt, in solid colours like white, black, and grey. Definitely keep a white shirt and a denim shirt to quickly throw over a t-shirt and pair with a scarf. Cardigans in one or two solid colours is also a good idea. If you are in, or headed somewhere with lower temperatures, then get yourself a thermal tops and bottoms to wear under your basic clothing, so you don't always have to pick up the same jacket or sweater. Stick to ONE statement piece in an outfit © Instagram/Anisha Jain Doing too much is never a good idea. And although winter may seem like the time where you can really sport so many pieces, make sure there is only one statement piece. Don't wear a tailored and coat or trench coat with heavy on the design shoes, or bold printed pants. Whatever your main piece is in your outfit, keep that the focus, and keep the other elements low key. Coordinate the different elements © Instagram/Isha Bhansali When we were kids we were told the best way to dress is to 'match' everything. When we got older, every fashion guru said that contrast was the holy grail of fashion. But the truth is somewhere in between, and in fact, a lot more personal, and experimental. So don't go matching every bit of your outfit, and don't pieces that all contrast with each other. Instead, find ones that coordinate. You can pick different tones and shades of a colour, you can pick two things in the same colour, you can even pick slightly similar prints. You can also pick fabrics that go with each other.
  11. You probably have grown up watching some parts of the iconic TV show 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay' with your mom hiding the TV remote every time Anurag and Prerna came on the screen. However, while getting accustomed to this 'saas bahu' saga, one thing which stuck with all of us was the gorgeous, hot Komolika. Played fantastically by Urvashi Dholakia, Komolika's character was probably the only thing we didn't mind watching. When Ekta Kapoor announced the show was coming back with a new star cast, fans were anxious to know who was playing Komolika, that's it. The rumours and guesses were put to rest when Hina Khan was announced as the new age millennial 'Komolika'. In fact, the promo video created quite a buzz as well.
