  1. Britney Spears once said her loneliness was killing her, and now we can relate to that a little more than we did before. That's because, according to a study, younger people are likely to be lonelier than anyone else, and it has taken us some time to digest this very fact. It's a myth to think loneliness only hits us when we're older, with fewer friends, living a monotonous life. You think having achieved most things in life, when your life's purpose has been fulfilled in some way or another, loneliness creeps in slowly then. But that's not true! Loneliness can creep in at any age, any time and at any phase of life that you're experiencing. Besides, according to a well-researched study, loneliness is now more prominent with younger people than with older folks. © AA/Films This survey conducted by a British international internet-based market research firm YouGov suggests that of more than 2,000 UK adults, almost 31 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds admitted feeling lonely often or all the time, compared to the 17 percent of 55-plus respondents who said they felt the same. The study also revealed that while 24 percent of younger people said that they have suffered loneliness at some stage and about seven percent revealed that they feel miserable everyday due to being lonely. Giving a more detailed analysis on why young people face more loneliness than the older generation, YouGov said that "younger people are presented with more challenges in their jobs and relationships, to undergo bouts of loneliness often". They move often to find new jobs, making it difficult to get used to a particular environment quickly. As per the survey, 46 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds "find it difficult to make new friends", while, in comparison, 28 percent of older participants feel the same. © Viacom18-motion A major part of what constitutes loneliness is the social setting you're in. Humans are social beings and if they don't get adequate social exposure, there are severe repercussions, like feeling lonely and neglected. Making friends and forging relationships is one thing that is always a constant & if newbies are always on the move, sometimes making a brand new social circle gets a tad tough. On being asked why they could not make new friends, 80 per cent of young participants responded by saying that shyness holds them back, as against 43 per cent of 55-plus participants, as per the survey. It's also a given that as you grow older, making new friends gets tougher. Additionally, around 32 per cent of young adults admitted that not having the type of hobbies and interests with which to forge new friendships was also a roadblock. Which is natural, since you're always wary of what others may think of you. But the only way to beat these loneliness pangs is to recognise why you feel a particular way and tackle it one by one. © Eros-International Getting the confidence to go out there and seize the day is a favourable thing you can do if you ever feel lonely. It gives you back the confidence you need to approach people and befriend them and also makes you seem more extroverted, a quality a lot of social people are attracted towards. You can also use your communication skills to the best of your advantage and communicate more efficiently with the like-minded people. Young people falling prey to loneliness is not the brightest thing to read and hear. So to beat this state of being, understand why you feel lonely, garner more confidence and let go of those feelings once and for all! View the full article
  2. If issues like sudden breakouts, dark circles or puffiness have been a part of your regular routine, it's time to add new grooming products to your arsenal. Just like your body needs caffeine to function, so does your skin. While a few grooming products are self-explanatory, there are others that you should definitely invest in. Here's a list of four grooming essentials to look perfectly turned out, all the time. 1. Exfoliation © Istock When you exfoliate your skin, the microbeads help you get rid of dead skin cells that bother your skin and ultimately burst into huge pimples. One of the easiest ways to get rid of this issue is by using a scrub once a week. For best results, lay your hands on brands like Nivea or The Body Shop that are made with natural ingredients and let your skin feel nourished instantly. 2. Lip Balm © Istock For all the TLC that you do for your skin, you cannot afford to miss out on your lips. Since your lips do not have oil glands, it constantly needs nourishment. It's wise to have a lip balm handy and one of the great products that you can try is Neutrogena's Norweigan Formula Lip Moisturizer SPF 15. It smoothens your lips, takes off all the dryness and adds protection from harsh UV rays. 3. Eye-Cream © Istock Nothing is more awkward than you showing up at work and someone telling you that you look tired. It's probably the dark circles beneath your eyes. A stellar eye cream provides hydration and nourishes the sensitive under-eye area. This product is a must-have to refresh and rejuvenate your tired skin. 4. Sunscreen © Istock Our skin is vulnerable to sun exposure and the effects of UVA and UVB rays can be quite harsh. So, what do you do? You get your hands on a sunscreen. Before stepping out, apply a dab of this cream. It is sweat-proof and shields you against skin-ageing issues. After all, no one wants to look double their age, right? View the full article

  4. ASUS already made a convincing case for dual-screen laptops with the ScreenPad on the ZenBook Pro last year. A cool idea indeed, but it didn't excite me in a way the new ZenBook Pro Duo did when I saw it for the time. Like, do you ever see a piece of technology that's so thoughtful and innovative that it literally makes everything look old? Yeah, it belongs to that breed. Although I was wowed by and drooling over the ZenBook Pro Duo's retina-searing 4K OLED panels and its futuristic looks, I wasn't completely sure if it's actually a good laptop. I mean, yes, it makes the Apple MacBook Pro's Touchbar look silly and all, but I wanted to know if and how it really affects the rest of the laptop experience. And that's exactly what this review is all about. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer ASUS let us use the top-of-the-line variant of the ZenBook Pro Duo for a couple of weeks to see if we like it. Well, here's everything that you need to know about this laptop before dropping your money on it. Let's Talk About The Screens It's best if I start talking about the displays first because that's what's running the show here. Both the screens, I must say, have crazy specs. The main 15.6-inch touchscreen OLED panel will serve you 4K resolution worth of pixels that's aplenty for anything you can possibly imagine. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer ASUS is pushing this laptop as a creative tool, so as expected, the display has good brightness, great contrast ratio and produces vibrant and sharp images. It's just perfect for all kinds of creative work and then some. The secondary display, i.e. the ScreenPad Plus is where the real magic is happening. It's a 14-inch IPS Touchscreen that uses a 32:9 aspect ratio. It's not quite the 4K resolution, but it's super sharp and looks great as a display for the top half of the keyboard base. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer However, I must point out that there's a difference in quality between the main and the secondary screen. In comparison to the main screen which handles sRGB, Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts with equal skill, the secondary screen is dimmer and has a slightly poor contrast ratio. The difference isn't obvious when you first look at it, but you'll definitely notice it once you use it for an extended period of time. By the way, you also get a stylus with the ZenBook Pro Duo and it works just as advertised. Fast and responsive, it's super handy to edit videos and move things around. ScreenXpert Software I was more interested in seeing how this second screen would benefit someone who's not necessarily in the field of creative work. You know, someone who just wants a good laptop for multitasking and maybe for casual gaming. So I started carrying this to work for my every day needs. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer ASUS' ScreenXpert Software that manages the second screen was surprisingly useful for me. I was able to set up clusters of apps and browser windows which I could open with just a tap. For instance, I had set up one of the shortcuts to open the Google Chrome window on the main screen and a window of Chrome on the second screen along with the notes app and Spotify. So all I had to do was tap the shortcut whenever I reach the office. Just one tap and everything is ready for you. The ZenBook Pro Duo also lets you do other things like extending the window on the main screen to the second screen or swap the windows and more. I wasn't a huge fan of the software on the normal ZenBook Pro laptops with the ScreenPad, but I must say that ASUS had done a kickass job here with the ScreenPad Plus. Design © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer Enough about the screens, what about the design? Has ASUS made any compromises? Well, yes, there are a few. For starters, this isn't a slim and light notebook like some other ASUS notebooks that we've seen in recent times. You'll feel the weight in your backpack, so I won't recommend carrying this around if you're not used to carrying heavy laptops. That said, the ZenBook Pro Duo is a well-built machine. It feels super premium, thanks to the brushed aluminum and dark panels. The visible cooling vents on the sides also give it a nice personality. And although this notebook has a webcam, unlike the ROG Scar 3, I have to say that ASUS has indeed taken a step back when it comes to I/O. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer It has one Thunderbolt 3 USE port that supports USB-C, an HDMI port, a single headphone jack, and two full-size USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. That's about it. There's no card reader, which I think is a must for creators, no Gigabit Ethernet, etc. And speaking of disappointments, I think it's a good segway to the keyboard layout and the trackpad. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer Keyboard and Trackpad Since the ScreenPad Plus takes most of the space on the deck, both the keyboard and the trackpad have been pushed towards the bottom of the deck It's very similar to ASUS' Zephyrus S, except here, space is being used for a screen instead of cooling. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer The keyboard itself is solid, though. The buttons have a decent amount of travel and it feels good to type on. It's the kind of premium keyboard that you'd expect from a laptop like this. It's just I don't like how the keyboard is pushed towards the bottom. To make things easier, ASUS is giving wrist-rest with the laptop for free inside the box. It helps a lot when you're using the laptop on, say, a table. But it's hardly of any use when you're using the laptop on, you know, your lap. Similarly, the trackpad is not bad per se. It has a smooth surface and it's very responsive. In fact, I really like the buttons on it. It's the trackpad's position that irks me. It doubles as the number pad, so that's cool, I guess. Performance & Thermals © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer Remember how I mentioned this laptop is a bit chunky and how difficult it is to carry it around? Well, that's because of the internals. My unit here is packed with an Intel Core i9-9980HK, which happens to be one of the most powerful mobile chipsets out there. It's coupled with 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, an RTX 2060 GPU, and other components for things like Wi-Fi 6. I don't know about you, but if I see those numbers on a specs sheet, I dare not to question the capabilities of the laptop. I did use some resource-intensive photo and video editing apps to put it to test, and I wasn't surprised by the performance at all. It can handle pretty much everything with ease, including gaming. © MensXP Geekbench scores returned some crazy numbers like 5,421 on single-core and 26,262 on multi-core. It's about as high as it gets. Believe it or not, I also played and reviewed Borderlands 3 on this laptop. I was comfortably running it at 1080p resolution with graphics settings set to high. And besides all the powerful components, ASUS has done a commendable job of handling the thermals. Yes, the fans do kick in every time you start the laptop and use it for, say, an hour, but it never bothered me. The fans aren't loud, so I wasn't getting distracted. It does get warm to touch at times, but overall I'd say the thermals are well under control. Battery Life Two high-resolution screens, powerful internals to drive, like Core i9 and RTX 2060 - what do you think the battery life is going to be like? Well, if you are like me who are running both the displays at peak brightness at times, then you'll probably be looking at around 3 hours of battery life. Even if you disable the ScreenPad Plus and use just the primary display, you'll still be looking at around 5-6 hours. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer And if you're running some heavy application and making the cores kick in, then take out some more numbers off of that. Look, the point that I am trying to make is that the ZenBook Pro Duo doesn't have the best battery life and you'll definitely be needing a power source almost all the time. The Final Say The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo, as I mentioned, is a thoughtful piece of technology that rethinks what a laptop can be. With those beautiful displays, powerful internals and a well-built chassis, the ZenBook Pro Duo is nothing short of a complete package. But there's a price for everything, and in this case, we're looking at a starting price of Rs 2,09,990. Is the ZenBook Pro Duo worth buying at that price? Well, that depends on the kind of use that you're looking to get out of it and how much you're going to be using those screens. If not, then you'd be better off buying something like a MacBook Pro which makes up for the lack of ScreenPad Plus with a Touchbar and a slimmer and lighter body. But with all that being said, I am glad that the ZenBook Pro Duo exists and I have nothing but respect for ASUS for pushing the boundaries and coming up with innovative products like this. Like it or not, you have to admit that the ZenBook Pro Duo is one of the coolest pieces of technology that you may have ever seen. If this is what the future of laptops look like, then I just can't wait to get there

  6. It's 'World Book Day' today which was originally an initiative by UNESCO back in 1995 to promote reading. Books are the friends and lovers we choose to seduce us into an insane level of intimacy, away from the madness of this world. Being a bibliophile myself, I decided to ask my fellow wonderful, equally book-crazy writers to list out that one book which they love for a million reasons and why they'd recommend it to anyone out there. Here's the result of my interesting conversation: 1. Palace Of Illusions By Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni- If mythology inspires you and you savoured reading the 'Mahabharata', then this beautiful book is a good follow up read which takes you on a journey in time where our heroine is none other than the mighty Draupadi herself. “Divakaruni gave a voice to an iconic mythological character Draupadi who was wronged by her family as well as the society on many levels. But to have her side of the story, and watch her turn the events around to avenge her own humiliation was a welcome change and an inspiring read. “ – Devlina Datta View this post on Instagram So much has been written about this book over #bookstagram, it is one of the most important books in the #feminism category. An Indian female who married 5 Brothers but was still called a #DevouteWife (Pativrata) is a huge deal even in 21st century. It's this aspect which made Mahabharat stand out as an #indianepic. Moreover this retelling of the epic is from the point of view of the female protagonist. What I loved the most about this retelling was that no efforts were made to portray her as #perfectwoman. She had her flaws, her Desires. She felt anger, hatred and jealously towards people surrounding her. She threw tantrums and had her ways sometimes. Yet through all these flaws she always realized his mistakes, she was aware of the wrongness of her desires, she knew the consequences of her actions and took responsibility of those. These are the characters which make her a #perfectprotagonist according to me. Well if you haven't read this book yet, you can join #mumbaibookstgram where this is selected as #bookofthemonth. So I read this book in the month of April but just couldn't post about it or review it as have been going through a weird phase where am not able to write. It's becoming increasingly difficult to pen down the thoughts about anything. Have any of you faced such a issue?? How did you overcome it?? Please help me out as am still struggling through it. #palaceofillusions #chitrabanerjeedivakaruni #picadorbooks #retellingofmahabharata #retellingofepic #draupadi #panchali #indianbookstgrammer #crosswordbookstore #bookstagramprompt #BookstagramPost #unitedbookstgram #booktrovertsgirlgang A post shared by Mihika Sawant (@mihika_thebibliophile) on Jun 27, 2018 at 12:06pm PDT 2. Lord Of The Rings By J.R.R Tolkien- This epic fantasy adventure series is loved by millions of people across the globe. If an epic fantasy is your choice of genre, then you shouldn't miss it. “It's the father of all fantasy books, complex characters with individual stories, best story arcs. The world created by Tolkien has numerous characters with their own histories, languages. The death of Boromir is probably the strongest moment I've experienced in all fiction.” - Akshay Bhalla 3. Mein Kampf By Adolf Hitler- This autobiography takes you inside the life and the brain of Hitler himself. Intriguing and gripping, this answers a lot of 'why's for all that he did, what he did. “Even though the intentions behind writing the book weren't ideal, Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' lets me understand how ideologies can lead a man to extreme measures for better or worse.” – Aditya Pandey View this post on Instagram 1925: Mein Kampf is published. An autobiographical work from Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf was dictated by Hitler to Rudolf Hess during his 264 day incarceration in Landsberg Prison for the failed Munich Putsch of 1923. Mein Kampf described Hitler's growing anti-semitic feelings and outlined his political beliefs and plans for the future of Germany. The atitudes and views presented in Mein Kampf broadly summarise Nazi aims in World War Two: total dictatorship, conquering France, expanding eastwards into Poland and the Soviet Union and the extermination of the Jewish race and others deemed 'impure'. #ww2 #wwii #worldwartwo #worldwarii #secondworldwar #worldwar2 #adolfhitler #hitler #nazi #führer #thirdreich #meinkampf #landsberg #germany #nazigermany #hess #swastika #1925 #onthisday #history A post shared by 1939-1945 Second World War (@worldwar1939_1945) on Jul 18, 2018 at 1:00pm PDT 4. Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone By J.K Rowling- The first book in the iconic series, you either love it or you don't know a thing about it. This book is pure magic, literally. “I remember reading Harry Potter very sceptically for the first time in 4th grade. I was not really convinced with the concept of a boy and wizards and magic, as at the time I was going through my superhero phase. Little did I know, Harry and Hogwarts opened a whole new world for me, letting me see a version of myself that I did not even know I had. It powered my imagination to new heights and continues to impart knowledge to me to this very day.” – Marina Paulose 5. Shadow Of The Wind By Carlos Ruiz Zafón- This Spanish best seller is a beautiful, well-told fictional novel. “Just like the protagonist of Shadow of the Wind, Zafon's words resonated with my own coming of age at the time of reading the book. What helped was that I visited Barcelona later that year too and discovered Zafon's Catalonia through my own eyes. Highly recommended for everyone in their early 20s.” – Alshaar View this post on Instagram “Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens.” â Carlos Ruiz Zafón • What's a book that you can't stop thinking about, months after it's come out? • #ShadowOfTheWind #FavoriteBook #BookQuotes #Bibliophile A post shared by Olivia Páez (@storiesforcoffee) on Apr 25, 2018 at 12:01pm PDT 6. Waiting For Godot By Samuel Beckett- This absurdist French play spells out an existential crisis like nothing else could. “I came across Waiting For Godot in my third year of college. Reading this absurdist play gave me comfort that there are people out there who question reality and the meaning of existence as we know it as I do. “ - Simran Arora 7. Harry Potter Series By J.K Rowling- This had to be more than once on the list because only a Potterhead knows the value of growing up reading this series which literally shaped and changed lives. No particular reason can justify it actually. You have to read it to believe it. “How often does it happen, that a book completely enchants you? Holds you captive in between its pages? Doesn't let you eat or sleep till you have gone through all of its magical pages with ravenous hunger? Not only did 'Harry Potter' do all of that to me, but it also made me laugh, cry, erupt in euphoric applause, and collapse into a ball in a corner with a sense of irrevocable loss - while I went through its multilayered, labyrinthine story-line. I read it quite late when I was no longer a child, but I was immersed in a world characterized by a sense of child-like wonder nonetheless, that made me believe in magic once more. I recommend it to every single person who can read, irrespective of whether they like fiction or not, because this particular book, in its inimitable brilliance, transcends the intricacies of genres. The Complete Adventures Of Feluda By Satyajit Ray- Mystery fiction lovers already know and love this one! “I can safely vouch for 'The Complete Adventures Of Feluda' by Satyajit Ray as my go-to book even after all this while. My love for crime and thrill took off further while digging deeper into Feluda's character as this intense detective, but in all honesty, I consider myself Topshe—Feluda's nephew-cum-the narrator, assistant but at the same time the one with a sharp mind who would bravely jump into a case without thinking much about the consequences.” – Ipshita Kumar 9. On The Road' By Jack Kerouac- This is a beautiful read for anyone who is interested in a rich cultural book chronicling the travels of the writer himself across the United States “The novel was primarily an introduction to the 'beatnik' generation for me which was basically rich in culture, music and philosophy. I read it in college, where the protagonist was living a life against a backdrop of literature, travel and 60s jazz, something I'd envisioned on doing back then! I guess the book stuck as my favourite since.” – Sunaina Mullick 10. Picture Of Dorian Gray By Oscar Wilde- This book is confused to be a mere gothic fiction for many for honestly it teaches you so much about the philosophy of the human mind. “Gripping and enchanting at every level, it peels off layers of perception one might have about the human mind in general. It forces you to question the naked dark thoughts of your mind and if you'd ever be tempted to make a deal with the devil for your own vanity”. – Harshleen Anand View this post on Instagram Frumusete... frumusete... #oscarwilde #portretulluidoriangray #theportaitofdoriangray #doriangray A post shared by Oxi Cristi (@oxi_cristi) on Apr 22, 2019 at 11:07am PDT Which is your favourite book that changed the way you perceive life now?
  7. A processor is a smartphone's heart and soul, and without it, a smartphone is left crippled. Apple's A-series processors are considered to be the best of the lot and it's all thanks to TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). The company has been Apple's only supplier of processors and the A12 Bionic chip is considered to be the most powerful chipset out there. © TSMC Not many processors have managed to deliver a performance similar to the A12. Huawei's Kirin 780 has managed to come close and Qualcomm has closed the gap with its new 7nm processors. However, none of them has actually managed to beat the A12 in terms of performance and reliability. TSMC has now announced a 5nm process technology that we will see soon on Apple devices. The new 5nm process has even more improved speeds and this is what the company had to say, “Compared with TSMC's 7nm process, its innovative scaling features deliver 1.8X logic density and 15% speed gain on an ARM Cortex-A72 core, along with superior SRAM and analog area reduction enabled by the process architecture.” Early numbers on an Arm Cortex-Are 72 core suggests that TSMC's new process will be able to deliver 1.8 times the density and 15 percent hike in clock speeds when compared to 7n. TSMC also says that the second generation of EUV will simplify the manufacturing process and “present excellent yield learning”. © Apple Now that the new process is ready, Apple can now move forward with producing a 5nm chipset that can power future iPhones and iPads. We could see it as early as 2020 which is not that far if we think about it. We won't be seeing the new processor on 2019 iPhones as these devices are expected to be powered with the 7nm+ process. © Qualcomm For Android devices, Qualcomm has managed to bring the 7nm process to its chipsets but has not been able to replicate the same performance as the A12. Now that the 5nm process is made available, we could see new Snapdragon chips debut shortly after Apple's new processor. TSMC is now considered the leader in chip manufacturing and dethroned the once market leader, Intel. Companies are gradually losing faith in Intel as TSMC's new process are now the preferred process.

  9. Rana Daggubati perhaps is the only 'villain', who has a bigger fan following than most 'heroes'. The strapping lad has a gift of getting fans weak in the knees, and his weapon of choice is his massive, monster beard. Though the beard has taken over and we hardly get to see anyone steer clear of it anymore, the beard that Rana sports seems to have a character of its own, and it arguably is the best beard in the industry. © Viral Bhayani His latest appearance at the airport was a testament to the fact that if you can manage to grow a massive beard, you really don't need much else to make a statement. © Viral Bhayani His khaki-olive shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, paired with a pair of blue jeans is what you call the standard, comfortable, super functional and smartly layered guy next door ensemble, but he managed to make it look super edgy, thanks to that beard. © Viral Bhayani The fact that he has chosen not to get his hair highlighted or tinted, and kept it jet black, just like the beard underneath, is helping him frame his face in a way that's worth envy. Just look at that density and volume! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is, Rana definitely qualifies to be our 'beardspiration' for the month, and for good reason!
  10. From her extroverted yet rebellious character in 'Tanu Weds Manu', to her bravely innocuous and underrated character in 'Queen', Kangana has come a long way to reach where all the A-list stars in Bollywood are at the moment. Her ability to direct her way towards more meaningful and wholesome roles is an added quality to her personality and she carries her strength as a woman, very comfortably, all around her. So much so, we really couldn't think of anyone else who would aptly fit the role of Manikarnika, from 'Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi'. (c)Zee Studios The role demanded someone who was very comfortable in their skin yet fierce and bold in their ideology, just like Jhansi ki Rani was. After the release of 'Queen', Kangana thought of pursuing a more technical side to films and hence thought of her stance as a director. After what seemed like a struggle of putting the beautiful film in front of a billion people, she proudly shares directorial credits with Krish Jagalamudi, for 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi'. (c)Twitter Rani Laxmibai was an epitome of survival of the fittest and gave gender roles another realm altogether when she contributed her half to fight for India's first war on independence. If anyone fits the bill to reincarnate her persona on screen, it's Kangana and here are some reasons why! (1) Her Determination To Achieve Anything While Kangana has come into the limelight for many controversies regarding her personal stance in life, her grit and determination to move forward and stand her ground has stood first and foremost. From her stand on the #MeToo movement to her fight to tell the truth about her past abusive relationships, she's managed to survive the fittest notions about being a strong powerful and determined woman and that clearly reflects in her character play as Manikarnika, in the movie. Manikarnika fought hard against the British rule to keep her kingdom intact and fought for her people rather than bowing down to the British. Her actual determination to achieve that dream and fight for it, is what makes Kangana more fitting to play the role. (c)Zee Studios (2) Her Tryst With Trying Tougher Roles If you remember her first movie, 'Gangster', you would know how complex that role was for a debutant and yet she bagged a Filmfare award for her performance for it. Kangana has always taken a variety of challenging roles, which make her characters stand out and you can never forget them. For instance, in 'Fashion', she played a model who was a drug addict, a role which is hard to fit into. Even though Priyanka stole the limelight for the film, Kangana's feature was well appreciated too. After taking numerous challenging roles to experiment and play with, she was truly deserving of one of the most challenging roles and she did fair justice to it as well. (c)Zee Studios (3) She's Fearless Kangana has always been known as someone who doesn't fear anyone. From calling Karan Johar the 'flag-bearer of nepotism' in the industry to speaking up against the Karni Sena threats, this woman fears nothing. She's always fighting her own battles fearlessly and has a strong belief system. So much so, people look up to her for the same. This is one of the main reasons why she fits the bill to play Manikarnika because her personality, as a whole, reflects her on-screen presence and makes the character more real and vivacious. (c)Zee Studios No, this isn't a paid article or a PR stunt to promote Kangana or her acting prowess. This is a critical review of someone who is a perfectionist in every right from someone who loved watching her on-screen and sharing a perspective or two. I really hope 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' does phenomenally well, because it's not just about Kangana's prowess to nail the role but a story about a legend who should never be forgotten. 11. It would not be wrong to say that the saviors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have done an incredible amount of work in the year 2018, thus adding a significant number of new age fans to a saga that has now turned a decade old. via GIPHY Films like 'Avengers: Infinity War', 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', 'Black Panther', and 'Deadpool 2' are responsible for grossing almost one-third of the total box office revenue worldwide this year. While these films have turned out to be highly commercial, they have also made the fans go crazy as phase 4, which is also the last phase of the MCU is going to mark its initiation in 2019. Information in bits and pieces is being given to the media so that the storylines could be avoided from getting leaked. Fans are expecting the bigger and larger than life version of their superheroes in the upcoming set of Marvel films. via GIPHY Though we don't really know the certainties of the future team Avengers, we may surely get a major hint in the 2019 release, 'Captain Marvel'. via GIPHY After digging a few sources and a lot of research, we have come up with a high-end scoop about the upcoming Marvel films (releasing in 2019). If you are a die-hard Marvel fan and missed something amidst so many films in production, this post is for you. Read ahead and know about what's coming up from Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future. Let us tell you that there is going to be the latest, more evolved versions of the old superhero characters that will be associated with these films: Captain Marvel With 'Captain Marvel', Academy Award winner Brie Larson is getting ready for the release of the most awaited female superhero film of 2019. via GIPHY By playing the lead in the film, which is also the alter ego of cosmic hero Carol Danvers, Brie Larson is making her debut for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film's powerful trailer which was released in September has already exceeded our expectations. Let us tell you that Captain Marvel has remained an accomplice to the Avengers, the glimpses of which would also be seen in the upcoming 'Avengers: Endgame'. The film also stars, Quentin Tarantino's favorite Samuel L. Jackson, actors Annette Bening, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, and Clark Gregg. Not to be forgotten, 'Enemy at the Gates' star Jude Law is also in the film. via GIPHY The film is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. From the trailer, one can easily figure out that the film is set in the 90s and Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) is dealing with amnesia. via GIPHY The protagonist finds it difficult to recall her past and leaves the viewers stunned, amidst an unpredictable dialogue, “I am not what you think I am”. While, Nick Fury's (Samuel L. Jackson) background monologue explains much about the film's theme, which definitely includes aliens, one looks forward to the film, especially when Captain Marvel is a female at the center of the narrative. We are getting 'Wonder Woman' vibes though! Avengers: Endgame While 'Avengers: Infinity War' was believed to be the biggest Marvel film ever, the audience gave a mixed reaction to the film. Let us tell you that the biggest Marvel film is yet to come and is already in the making. via GIPHY 'Avengers: Endgame' will conclude the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will be a follow up to 'Avengers: Infinity War' and is also considered to be closely linked. The film will also be giving the final touch to many plots. via GIPHY The team of 'Avengers 4' is working day and night to take the Avengers game to the next level which also means that one would get to see the best from the MCU through this film. via GIPHY The flick will be releasing on May 3, 2019. The principal cinematography for the film started in 2017. The makers of the movie had earlier named it 'Avengers: Infinity War Part II', however, it was later discarded. 'Endgame' is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Spider-Man: Far From Home Though Spider-Man has always remained one of the favorite characters for Marvel fans, the superhero's popularity might see a major rise due to his inclusion in the upcoming Avengers films. via GIPHY It would not be wrong to say that Spider-Man is here to stay and entertain us for a good number of years. For now, Marvel and Sony have teamed up for a sequel to 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' which is temporarily being called 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' (as per Tom Holland's Instagram post). via GIPHY Let us tell you that the film has been scheduled for the release on July 5, 2019. This would also mark the initiation of phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Tom Holland who was also seen in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' would play the protagonist in the sequel, it has been reported that Jake Gyllenhaal might play the villain. via GIPHY However, we are just not sure as to how Peter Parker would make his return after the end of 'Avengers: Infinity War'. The direction of the film will be handled by Jon Watts who also directed 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'. Dark Phoenix In September this year, 20th Century Fox released the trailer of another 'X-Men' film and named it 'Dark Phoenix'. If we talk about the 2016 film 'X-Men: Apocalypse', it was the young Jean Grey who saved Professor X (James McAvoy) from getting killed at the hands of the Apocalypse, ultimately discovering her superpowers. via GIPHY 'Dark Phoenix' will feature Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) as the protagonist and will be a mix of her present and past lives. Though 'Dark Phoenix' is believed to be a forceful attempt to bring twists and turns into the already saturated series, the film seems to be losing its charm even before its release. Reason – The two major characters of the entire 'X-Men' franchise i.e. Logan and Professor X have already died in the 2017 film 'Logan'. 'Dark Phoenix' may only mix things up, as fans have already seen how Jean Grey died years back. via GIPHY Other than Sophie Turner, actors including Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult would also be seen, maybe for the very last time if this film has to be the end of the 'X-Men' franchise. 'Dark Phoenix' is directed by Simon Kinberg and will hit the theatres in June 2019. The New Mutants The 'New Mutants' is one film Marvel and 'X-Men' fans are eagerly looking forward to. As the title suggests, the film explores the horror-superhero genre and displays the story of teenage mutants getting a grip of their superpowers, while being captive at a secret facility. via GIPHY The film-makers have finalized a stunning cast for the film including actors Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Alice Braga, Charlie Heaton, and Henry Zaga. Earlier, the film was scheduled for April 2018, however, it has now been pushed to August 2, 2019. As per a few reports, certain scenes of the film are now being reshot to add the pinch of horror to it. In fact, major parts of the film are being shot again taking in view of the horror angle. The rating of the film has not been decided yet. 'The New Mutants' is being directed by Josh Boone. via GIPHY It will be interesting to see these teenage mutants getting to understand their powers. Remember, how it happened for the first time with the likes of Logan, Scott, Storm, and Mystique? via GIPHY Got any interesting scoop about these films? Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Marvel films!
  12. When athletes with common interests get on the same roster and play for years together, the chemistry ought to get beyond the field of play. A bromance so to speak - a little more than friendship but not too much. Well, you get the idea. Here's look at some of the biggest bromances in the world of sports: 1. Hardik Pandya & MS Dhoni Hardik Pandya has openly said it time and again that former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is his favourite Indian cricketer of all time. After recovering from a lower-back injury, Pandya spoke out about how Dhoni completely changed his life for the better. “He never changed my game,” Pandya told timesnownews.com. “Dhoni was someone who was very important to me as I was raw, I was learning… and he gave me the time to understand my role.” Dhoni, on the other hand, has not been shy to show his love for the all-rounder either. Spotted together at the wedding reception of Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the duo was found posing like best buddies for the paparazzi. Sergio Aguero & Lionel Messi Starting out as two of the youngest players of the Argentina team, Messi and Aguero were destined to form a bonding over an extremely unfortunate incident. When Aguero's childhood friend and teammate Emiliano Molina passed away in a car crash, it was Messi who broke the news to him and presented himself as the shoulder for him to cry on. “They hugged and cried together for quite a while, supporting each other despite the anguish that gripped them,” journalist Daniel Fresco told goal.com. As they say, “friendships bound by sorrow, last forever.” © Reuters This, along with the fact that Lio Messi is the godfather to Aguero's son, Benjamin, makes this bromance real. 3. The thing about great athletes is that they don't shy away from recognising greatness when they see it, and that's exactly what happened between Federer and Nadal. While one is all about finesse and dexterity, the other is about brute force. Even with completely different profiles, the true Nadal-Federer duo could be witnessed during the 2017 Laver Cup finals when the two titans were seen on the same side of the net. “Everyone was waiting for this moment since they announced this event is going to happen. This is the time. So I think it's almost like a celebration of tennis,” Czech tennis star Tomas Berdych told The Telegraph. The fact that Nadal and Federer practised only once together, back at the World Tour Finals and yet managed to defeat the Americans, Jack Sock and Sam Querrey, tells so much about their chemistry. "We will always be rivals. But this was something very special, it was an absolute pleasure being on the court with Rafa and seeing his decision-making process,” Federer expresses to The Telegraph. 4. Lebron James & Dwyane Wade View this post on Instagram Current mood.. Until the wheels fall thee f#*k off @dwyanewade. Beyond death! P.S @willsmith @martinlawrence appreciate letting us flex this clip! A post shared by LeBron James (@kingjames) on Dec 10, 2018 at 5:36pm PST Entering the league in the same draft year, Dwyane Wade and Lebron James immediately became the poster boys for their respective teams. The bromance for the duo began when James decided to move to Miami in the search for a title. Despite the presence of Chris Bosh, people paid big bucks to see the Wade-James duo perform on a different level than everyone else present on the court. Videos of 'Wade to James alley-oops' are all over YouTube and are genuinely fun to watch. The chemistry goes well beyond the court as the two NBA stars are often spotted vacationing together with their families and continue to do a lot of social work as a team. James and Wade were also able to win back-to-back championships in Miami. Wade also moved to a Lebron-led Cleveland Cavaliers for a very brief moment.
  13. Just last month Samsung showed off a brand new concept phone that has a foldable screen and closes just like a book. Samsung plans to shake up the smartphone business with a new phone in an already saturated market. Samsung only showed off the display of the smartphone and didn't give a clear look at the body of the smartphone. For years Samsung has been developing consumer ready foldable displays and intends to be the first major company to launch a phone with the technology. We already know that Huawei and LG too are working on the same lines and competition has never been this intense. © YouTube But things are slowly going south for Samsung, its latest bendable screen technology has been stolen and sold to two Chinese companies, according to prosecutors in South Korea. The prosecutors allege that a Samsung supplier leaked blueprints of Samsung's "flexible OLED edge panel 3D lamination" to a company that it had set up. Intellectual property theft is a national concern for South Korea as it tries to maintain its narrowing technology lead over China. 11 people have been indicted and three of them, including the company's CEO, have been arrested and are awaiting trial. © Reuters The group allegedly formed a separate shell company that received information of the use equipment and drawings of the panels, which they accessed from working with Samsung. They then sold the documents in China, earning 15.5 billion won (U$ 13.8 million). The hardware that is alleged to have been stolen is used to create the curved screens found on the edges of Samsung's popular Galaxy line of smartphones, prosecutors said. Samsung introduced the edge version of OLED panels with the Galaxy Note Edge in 2014. Since then, it has introduced a dual-edge version that has been used in its flagship S and Note series. © Reuters It manufactures more than 90 percent of the small and midsize OLED panels used in smartphones worldwide. A leak of technology in this field would deal a huge blow to Samsung The South Korean giant spent about 150 billion won over a period of six years to develop the OLED technology that is now considered highly-classified national knowledge, prosecution said. 19. Stand-up comedy gigs are the generation's latest favourite. You can probably find one every weekend in your city. The scene is still young in the country and is yet to draw the masses, but the gigs are increasingly seeing houseful theatres. Unexpectedly, an open mic gig in Bengaluru saw just one person turning up for the event. And guess what? The comedians performed for the sole woman audience member at the show. Standup comic Shridhar Venkataramana shared a picture of himself performing for his only audience. We suspect the rest of the audience was stuck in traffic, since it's Bengaluru. While it must have been awkward for the comedians performing, we shudder to think how much pressure there was on the woman. If you've ever attended a stand-up comedy show, you very well know the first rows mean death. Now imagine being the only person in the first row. You laugh till your cheeks hurt, eyes water and stomach is knotted. Open mics are easy platforms for people to get on the stage and do their thing. But the downside is that the listeners are limited. Shridhar, in his post, encouraged people to attend more gigs and open mic events, which are mostly free. The reactions to his Facebook post have couldn't be funnier. Getting roasted on the first row, check. True story That's one way to see it
  20. Hola my 'Chingu' (friends in Korean), 'Annyeonghaseyo' (Hello). I am back again with my super 'Daebak' (awesome) list of movies for all those who are looking for something unusual yet refreshing. After taking a break from bragging about my obsession over K-Pop and K-Drama, I finally decided to rekindle my relationship with Korean movies over the weekend. And the genre I picked this time is something most of us are intrigued by and take a keen interest in – erotica. CJ Entertainment While, 'Oldboy', 'Train to Busan' and 'The Handmaiden' are some of the best movies Korea has given to the world, their cinematic preserve isn't restricted to action, gore or horror alone. Erotica is another key genre Korean directors love to experiment with and 'The Handmaiden' isn't the only erotic movie they have in store for us. Korean erotic movies pack everything one can ever wish for in a movie – thrill, action, drama, period, romance, power struggle, obsessive love and gut-wrenching scenes. And this is not an exaggeration when I say that no one can do justice to 'erotic' genre better than the Korean directors. We guess, we can make an exception for Ram Gopal Varma's 'God, *** and Truth' featuring Mia Malkova. So, on this note, I dare you all to watch these steamy Korean erotic movies and correct me if I was wrong about Korea being the best and the most daring in this genre. A Good Lawyer's Wife Myung Film Company The movie stresses on a dangerous game of lust, greed, money, *** and cheating, which ends brutally when the protagonists lose their loved ones. A lawyer and his wife indulge in extra-marital affairs because they can't satisfy each other sexually. How their lust and cheating causes them to lose their only son weaves the rest of the plot of this 'dysfunctional' family drama. The Isle Myung Films Director Kim Ki-Duk is known for making edgy movies that obsessively reflect on sexual themes and desires. And 'The Isle' is no different. It is an unusual love story of a man who takes refuge on a fishing boat and its mute keeper who nurses him back to health. But their romance is not at all rosy as their obsession starts kicking in, causing trouble and death for those around them. From the man swallowing a string of fish hooks to the woman stuffing fish hooks into her vagina to commit suicide, you will find plenty of gruesome scenes in the movie. A Frozen Flower Universal Pictures South Korea is said to be a conservative society and sensitive about the depiction of historic events. And it's miraculous and commendable for this movie to get into the list of critically-acclaimed movies and go on to win several awards. The movie revolves around a king, who asks his lover (also his bodyguard) to impregnate his wife. Things turn nasty when his lover and the queen fall in love with each other. Director Yoo Ha manages to perfectly intrigue the audience with his different take on homosexuality and bisexuality. The Housemaid Mirovision In most K-dramas, you will find the rich businessman falling for his innocent housemaid, so much so that it's now a full-fledged genre of its own. 'The Housemaid' packs the same clichéd romance, only with a dark twist that will leave you shattered and upset by the end. A rich businessman hires a maid to look after his pregnant wife, but soon lures her into having an affair with him. Things soon take a nasty turn, when the wife and the rest of the family get to know of this affair. The Taste Of Money Lotte Entertainment 'The Taste of Money' is another controversial movie that gained attention for its portrayal of the personal lives of the rich and privileged families in South Korea. This movie perfectly explores the vicious circle of entangled wires called ***, money, greed and ambition. Obsessed Iron Package This movie revolves around a decorated war hero who falls in love with one of his subordinates' wife. Soon his obsession gets out of his hands and he goes to extreme lengths to get her and the two soon start a passionate romance, while cheating on their respective partners. The Scarlet Letter LJ Film This is one of the most controversial movies in the list. In fact, it is also speculated that one of the lead actresses Lee Eun-Ju went into depression and committed suicide, after she came under public scrutiny for the film's *** scenes and a certain 'trunk scene'. This scene gained notoriety as “one of the most shocking and intense scenes in the history of Korean film.” 'The Scarlet Letter' revolves around a detective who is struggling to manage his relationship with his wife and mistress. B.E.D Twitter This movie revolves around an erotic relationship between three people, B, E and D. B is the man whose life “begins on the bed and ends on the bed”. E is a married woman who is having an affair with B. D is a single mother whom B marries after breaking up with E. It might sound confusing but definitely worth watching. Natalie Lotte Entertainment 'Natalie' is a romantic mystery erotic thriller that revolves around a dance student, who becomes the model, muse and lover of her sculptor professor. She eventually leaves him for her fellow stalker student. Ten years later both the men cross paths with each other and remember their conflicting memories of the woman they once loved and who seems to have disappeared since then. Lies Korea Pictures This controversial movie deals with sadomasochistic relationship between a 38-year-old sculptor and an 18-year-old high school student like no one else. 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has got nothing on this film. The mysteries and verities of love are brilliantly dealt with in this movie. In fact, the author of the novel, on which this movie is based, earned several months in prison and his controversial novel was banned immediately after publication.

  22. You know The Rock. We know The Rock. The world knows The Rock. And of course, his legendary and iconic bull tattoo. It's safe to say that his tattoo made more appearances on brands and advertisements than the Rock himself. The tattoo had attained such iconic status that people almost started relating every bull faced tattoo to The Rock's. Here's The Rock's Brahma Bull tattoo. Yes, it's called the Brahma Bull! © Instagram The Rock carried the tattoo for almost two decades, until now. If you follow him on Instagram, a place he's as active as he is in his gym, you'd know how insightful and inspirational the Rock's posts are. He always talks about being a hard worker, never giving up under dire circumstances and never forgets to be grateful to his fans, never. 23. A woman counts Venezuelan bolivar notes at a vegetable street market in Caracas, Venezuela November 13, 2017. REUTERS/Marco Bello CARACAS: Venezuela?s socialist government gifted chocolates to creditors on Monday, but offered no firm proposals at a brief meeting in Caracas that left investors without a clear understanding of the government?s strategy to renegotiate $60 billion in debt. President Nicolas Maduro confused investors this month with a vow to continue paying Venezuela?s crippling debt, while also seeking to restructure and refinance it. Both restructuring and refinancing appear out of the question, however, due to US sanctions against the crisis-stricken nation. A default would compound Venezuela?s dire economic crisis. Monday?s short and confused meeting, attended by senior Venezuelan officials blacklisted by the United States, gave no clarity on how Maduro would carry out his plan, bondholders and their representatives who participated said afterwards. That means Venezuela remains with the dilemma of whether to continuing paying the debt at the expense of an increasingly hungry and sick population, or defaulting on creditors and burning its bridges to the global financial system. ?There was no offer, no terms, no strategy, nothing,? said one bondholder, leaving the meeting that lasted a little over half an hour at the ?White Palace?, departing with a colourful gift-bag containing Venezuelan chocolates and coffee. But bond prices maintained last week?s rally, with one investor saying there was relief the meeting did not include a default announcement. Nearly $300 million in late interest payments on three bonds ? PDVSA 2027, Venezuela 2019, and Venezuela 2024 ? was also due on Monday after 30-day grace periods ended. But bondholders appeared unconcerned at the delay, which was due in part to increased bank vigilance of Venezuela transactions. ?My expectation is that the coupon payments will come through as well,? said Jan Dehn, Head of Research at Ashmore Investment Management. ?We know that these delays exist and why they exist.? About 100 investors, including some bondholders from New York and lawyers representing creditors, entered the ?White Palace? via a red carpet and were greeted by a poster of Maduro?s predecessor Hugo Chavez at the entrance of the meeting room inside. Sanctions overshadow meeting Chief debt negotiators Vice President Tareck El Aissami and Economy Minister Simon Zerpa ? on US sanctions lists for drug and corruption charges respectively ? attended the meeting for half an hour. They met with some bondholders, while others stayed out of the room on concerns about penalties for dealing with officials sanctioned by Washington. El Aissami told creditors that Deutsche Bank may soon cut off some financial services to Venezuela, participants said. Deutsche declined to comment. He read a statement protesting unfair treatment by global financial institutions, including US President Donald Trump?s sanctions aimed at preventing Venezuela from issuing new debt. ?Now Maduro can say: ?I showed goodwill, the bondholders showed goodwill ... but unfortunately, because Uncle Sam is not playing ball we can?t (refinance)',? said Dehn, who did not attend the meeting. ?I?m not hugely surprised nothing?s come out of that meeting.? Separately, the European Union approved economic sanctions and an arms embargo on Venezuela on Monday, although it has yet to name who will be subject to the sanctions. Markets continue to remain optimistic that Venezuela will service its debts, noting it has made close to $2 billion in payments in the past two weeks, albeit delayed. Bond prices were up across the board on Monday, with the benchmark 2022 notes issued by state oil firm PDVSA rising 3.3 percentage points. The economic implosion has already taken a brutal toll on Venezuelans. Citizens are suffering from malnutrition and preventable diseases because they cannot find food and medicine or cannot afford them because of triple-digit inflation. The sight of poor Venezuelans eating from garbage bags has become a powerful symbol of decay. It contrasts sharply with the era of Chavez when high oil prices helped fuel state spending. Halting debt service would free up an additional $1.6 billion in hard currency by the end of the year. Those resources could be used to improve supplies of staple goods as Maduro heads into a presidential election expected for 2018. But the strategy could backfire if met with aggressive lawsuits. A default by PDVSA, which issued about half of the country?s outstanding bonds, could ensnare the company?s foreign assets such as refineries in legal battles ? potentially crimping export revenue.
  24. Bollywood's penchant of churning some excellent movies in every genre is what makes it one of most famous industries in the entire world. While a good romantic flick or an exciting action movie sure serves the purpose of absorbing a viewer's time, some movies revolve around psychopath characters which make for a pretty thrilling watch. Here's a list of some of the most well-crafted movies that revolved around a psychopath lead: 1. Darr SRK nailed it like no one else. Until today, 'Kkkkirannn' is an iconic dialogue. Be it his madness for Kiran in the amazing songs or his obsession to have her only to himself, Shah Rukh as a psychopath paved way for many more roles that were portrayed by other actors but were obviously heavily influenced by his iconic character. 2. Kaun Urmila might be out of the acting scenario right now, but her character in 'Kaun' was truly terrifying. She plays a psychopath who initially won't allow a stranger (Manoj Bajpayee) to enter the house, but eventually things take a strange turn. Definitely one of her creepiest and most amazing performances. 3. Gupt Kajol easily passes off as the innocent best friend with bizarre plans to achieve her one-sided love at any cost. The movie was pretty cool at the time when it was released and she was one of the few actresses who decided to take up this role and even nail it down to the last detail. 4. Raman Raghav 2.0 Possibly one of the best flicks of its kind in recent times. Nawazuddin Siddiqui knows exactly how to wear the skin of a terrifying character with ease. 5. Dushman One can easily call Ashutosh Rana a man of perfection. He is clearly underrated but a critically acclaimed actor of insane calibre. His psychopath character's obsession with Sonia and Naina, two sisters was creepy and gruesomely honest. 6. Agni Sakshi Starring Nana Patekar, Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff in the lead roles, the story tells the tale of a married woman who is claimed by Nana to be his wife, even though she is already married. There are several more movies that had some amazing performances by actors who essayed the role of a psychopath and in the next list, we'll list out the most iconic Hollywood movies that revolved around psychopath characters. Until then, this should help you with some much needed thrill.
