ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsIt might be over 12 hours since we witnessed the Battle of Winterfell but the hangover of what we saw ought to stay for a while, right? With the mighty Night King and his army of the dead being actually dead (pun intended), and Winterfell saving itself from the claws of the looming fear, it is now time for the forces to move down South. Now, everyone wants to know who finally gets the throne, but before that, so many of us are actually laughing out loud over the badass Cersei Lannister who literally gave no hoots to the battle and did a rain check on it like a friend cancelling Sunday plans. Hilarious Reactions Explain The Battle Of Winterfell Which Was Literally 'Too Dark' To Be Seen
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsThe copy contains major spoilers. Proceed with caution. The Battle of Winterfell was gory, but it was cathartic in some ways and satisfying and shocking towards the end when Arya Stark meets the Night King and slays him like butter on bread. However, it was also dark like Mellisandre's 'the night is dark and full of terrors' dialogue. Dark in both metaphoric and literal terms. Honestly, I thought it was probably my internet and the crap quality of the screen maybe, but seems like I wasn't the only who thought this battle was 'too dark' because so many people are shouting 'SAME'. This scene was absolutely mental #GOT x pic.twitter.com/4LL6Ei77N8 — ᴾᴬáµá´¸á´°á´¼á¶á´· (@PaulDock93) April 29, 2019 #NOTTODAY #GameofThrones #AryaStark2020 (That episode was too dark, though, seriously. 90 minutes of “what's going on?” and “who's that?”) — Pam K. Nail (@pknail) April 29, 2019 It's kind of hilarious that after I spent the day expecting Twitter to explode with emotion during Game of Thrones, all that's on my TL, from like 30 different people, is "Why is it so dark?" — Linda Holmes (@lindaholmes) April 29, 2019 I was thankful that Mellisandre lit that fire so that at least there was some light on my screen, else I'd have to continue squinting my way through the entire episode. Love Game of Thrones and from the 7 mins of clarity that I could actually see, it was awesome. Just way too dark to make out as much as I wanted to. — Ryan Crowley (@75bankerboy) April 29, 2019 Anyway, who are we to complain? The series will end in 3 weeks and then there will no night or darkness so let's just savour it while we can.
Selectors Explain Why They Chose Dinesh Karthik Over Rishabh Pant For India's World Cup 2019 Squad
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsWhile the entire nation is filled with hope after the announcement of a 'balanced' Indian squad for the World Cup 2019, critics are still divided over the selection of Dinesh Karthik over the popular choice Rishabh Pant, in the 15-man squad. Answering this, the five-member panel of the BCCI that announced the squad, gave an explanation behind opting for Karthik's experience over Pant's flair. MSK Prasad, the Chief Selector of the Indian team said: “All of us felt that either Pant or Kartik will only come into playing XI if Mahi is injured. If it is a crucial match, wicket-keeping also matters, so that is the only reason why we went ahead with Dinesh Kartik otherwise Rishabh Pant was almost there.” Well deserved place for DK. — KD Deshmukh (@ImKrishna423) April 15, 2019 Very Gud BCCI...DK got wht he deserves â¤ï¸ — Ayega To Modi Hi ð®ð³â¤ï¸ (@shikhag802) April 15, 2019 come on guyz pant is young guy he needs lot of time to be in world cup squad... may be in next worldcup he will be there dnt wry.. dk deserves this opportunity... — joseph (@joseph_kurvila) April 15, 2019 While all the dropped catches and sloppy work with the gloves behind the stumps cost Pant a ticket to the United Kingdom, Karthik made it to the 15 on the grounds of apparently better glovework. Despite his flamboyance with the bat, Pant leaves a lot to be desired in terms of wicketkeeping. The Delhi lad's verbal volleys might be fun to listen to from the stump mic, but he's already conceded more than 100 byes in his short stint as the wicketkeeper of the Indian Test team. © AP On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik, who has been around the team since the past decade, was the first choice keeper for the Indian team before the arrival of Dhoni. It seems only legit that he be given one last shot at attaining World Cup glory before the torch is passed on to the Pant generation of Indian keepers. Apart from Pant, the exclusion of Ambati Rayudu also divided the house on the internet. In his absence, either Vijay Shankar or KL Rahul will be asked to fill in the number four spot. Elsewhere, the usual suspects' slot right in. There's the opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, followed by skipper Virat Kohli. The lower middle order features World Cup-winning former captain MS Dhoni, and Kedar Jadhav, followed by Hardik Pandya and the bowlers. Umesh Yadav misses out and so does Khaleel Ahmed. Ravindra Jadeja finds a place as an experienced bowling option, who can also chip in with the bat.
