Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) began their IPL 2022 journey with a disappointing five-wicket loss against fellow debutants Gujarat Titans, but the franchise’s skipper KL Rahul has still managed to find a silver lining in their maiden defeat in the cash-rich league. Unlike most fans, the 29-year-old opener wasn’t too disheartened by the close defeat and said that although they ended up on the wrong side of the results, it “felt like a win” because of the incredible fight of his teammates which helped them remain in the contest throughout the match. This one felt like a win because of the way we fought. Proud @LucknowIPL pic.twitter.com/mNXuy6sLfo — K L Rahul (@klrahul11) March 29, 2022 Taking to the micro-blogging site, the Karnataka batter wrote: “This one felt like a win because of the way we fought. Proud @LucknowIPL.” Rahul is right. The LSG batters indeed showed great fighting spirit and took them to a competitive total despite losing four wickets for just 29 runs inside the powerplay. And lower-middle order batters all the praise for their incredible knocks. In the air & taken! First-over strike from Dushmantha Chameera as @LucknowIPL get an early success with the ball. @HoodaOnFire takes the catch. After the defeat, the LSG fans were already upset with the right-handed opener’s poor captaincy skills and his unapologetic tweet made them even angrier and they started bashing him left, right and centre. View this post on Instagram “Felt like a win; was a loss though,” wrote one angry user, in reply to Rahul’s tweet. “Stop feeling and start winning,” was the response of another user, who was not happy with Rahul not acknowledging his mistake and sweeping the defeat under the carpet. Aise RCB wali trophy milegi... IPL wali nahiiiii — Yakshit (@yakshitshh) March 29, 2022 Would feel like a win if he could use his bowlers better. — Saikat Sanyal (@CorkingToon) March 29, 2022Not just this tweet, Rahul’s remarks to the host broadcasters after his side lost the match had also pissed off several fans “It was a phenomenal game. What a way to start the campaign. Starting off like that with the bat was not ideal but the way we recovered was phenomenal. It gives us so much confidence when the batters in the middle and lower order can do the job. We couldn't have started the campaign in any better way,” said Rahul, when asked to reflect on his side’s performance. View this post on Instagram Talking about the positives is not the only job of a leader. His job is also to point out the mistakes – be it tactical or anything else – which cost them the match. It’s just the beginning and the LSG fans would be hoping that Rahul, apart from finding silver linings in their losses, also starts identifying the areas they need to improve on. Katrina Kaif, who is currently among the most successful Bollywood actresses, made her acting debut with Kaizad Gustad's Boom in 2003. While the film flopped at the box office, she continued working hard and Namastey London (2007) proved to be a turning point in her career. Starring Akshay Kumar as the male lead, the film turned out to be a huge success and Katrina too received positive reviews for her performance in it. View this post on Instagram However, did you know that the actress was ready to quit acting before the release of Namastey London? Yes, you read that right! Reportedly, she watched the film before its release and felt that it would be a disaster. Recalling the same on Koffee With Karan a few years ago, the Race star had said, "When I saw the film, I was terrified. Vipul (Amrutlal Shah, director) showed it to me and said, ‘What do you think?’ I didn’t call him back. You know, when a director shows the actress a film, you have to give him feedback. I took off home, shut the door and didn’t give him a call". Vipul's assistant later called her, saying the filmmaker was upset that she had not given her feedback. "I called him and I said, ‘Hi Vipul.’ He asked, ‘What do you think?’ I said, 'Nice, very nice film. Okay, bye'," she added. Katrina thought Namastey London would be the end of her acting career. She stated, "I just saw too much of me in the film and you start believing what people say. I was like, 'No, no, no, people can’t see me in a film, they won’t watch the film, it’s a disaster. This is over, my life is over.' I was like, 'I am packing my bags and I am going to find a new career'". But, fate had other plans and the film gave Katrina's career a new lease of life. After its release, Namastey London got critical as well as commercial success. Talking about the positive response, she further said, "That was really nice, it was really important for me because I think it did change people’s perception. It was the first time I got so many calls even from the industry, from directors saying, ‘I think you did pretty well in the movie". After Namastey London, Katrina went on to deliver consecutive hits like Apne, Partner, Welcome, Race, and Singh Is Kinng. Initially, she was considered just a pretty face, however, with films like New York, Rajneeti, and Zero, the actress proved that she can act too. On the career front, Katrina was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi which turned out to be the first big Bollywood hit after the theatres reopened amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Her current lineup includes Phone Bhoot, Merry Christmas, Tiger 3, and Jee Le Zara. View the full article
